Twilight and the gang have gone away to Canterlot for a few days, leaving Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle without sisterly contact and Scootaloo without her rainbow-maned mentor and idol. To make matters worse, their inexhaustible list of crusades to venture out on has been, well, exhausted, and for the first time ever, the young fillies have no idea what to do with themselves.

Their boredom doesn't last long, though, as Ponyville is soon thrust back into peril as seems to be the case almost every week. But with the Mane 6 out of town, Ponyville finds itself without any means of defense. And so it falls to the intrepid trio, the Cutie Mark Crusaders, to follow in the footsteps of their heroes and save the day.
