the grass is always greener...

it was a normal day in ponyville. the sun was shining, the air was warm, and the apples seemed to almost be growning at a seeable rate. but Applejack was bored... the apples werent ripe yet, and she had alreadytaken care of all the days chores, so she thought she'd go see rainbow dash. since there were no clouds in the sky, she figured the raibow pony would also be bored. she also wanted to confirm a piece of very interesting gossip she had heard from Rarity about pegasus ponies. when she got into town, she spotted her friend talking quietly to twilight sparkle. as Applejack neared, the two ponies suddenly  saw her and twilight sparkle said "yeah i can do that, just let me go get my things" and hurried off. "so what was ya talkin bout?" applejack asked."i was wondering if twilight could do me a favor... which reminds me, can you do me a favor?" Rainbow dash asked. "sure thang, sugarcube! watcha need me ta do?" Applejack responded, ears pricked in intrest. "i was wondering, since your like the best bucker in the town... ya know, 'cuz of your farmwork an all, can you come help me with an experiment? its a secret, but if i got this right, its gonna be the most awesomest thing ever!" "all right, ya convinced me" Applejack said, smiling "Great! lets head over to twilights, she'll fix you up!" and the two ponies headed to the library. when they opened the door, they found twilight flipping wildly through a book, a large stack beside her. "hang on a sec, rainbow. i cant seem to find anything today. BAH! here it is!" she suddenly exclaimed, reading a particular page in her book. "so uhm, can somepony tell me exactly WHAT yur gonna do to me?" Applejack said, feeling a little nervous. "remember when we went to rainbow dash's flying competition, and i did that spell that gave rarity wings?" Applejack nodded "well, this is a similar spell, but the wings wont melt, and they can be folded away in a magic pocket beside you so you look like regualr old you, BUT the spell will only last for a day" twilight warned. "but that should be plenty of time. okay, ready?" she asked, to which Applejack gulped and nodded. "okay"twilight said as her horn started to glow. suddenly, all Applejack saw was white. but after a few minutes, the white faded, and she was laying on her side. "Oh my gosh, are you okay rainbowdash said as Applejacks vision cleared. "twilight started her spell, and your eyes rolled back into your head and you just thumped over!" she exclaimed, a worried look in her eye. "ahm fine, ive been hit with worse. besides, the spell didnt work." Applejack said, glancing at her normal, earth pony-like back. "thats because they wings are put away" twilight sparkle explained. Applejack turned and realized that she had forgotten to put her wings away, and were standing at a full, upright position. she tried to move them down, but they wouldnt move. irratated, Applejack turned to Rainbowdash and said "if i hear one word about this from anypony mmph--" Applejack's mouth was suddenly filled as Rainbowdash kissed her. "uh, why'd you bring me up here? ah mean, ANYpony can buck a wall..." she asked. "because your pretty cool, and theres kinda been this thing i wanted to try with you." Rainbow dash said, blushing slightly. "whats that?" Applejack said innocently, before realizing what Rainbowdash meant. thats when Applejack was tackled by the rainbow colored pony and pinned to the soft cloud ground. "this!" Rainbow dash said. Before Rainbowdash could make a move, Appledash looked at her friend and said carefully, "uh, listen sugarcube, Applejacks not so sure her barn door swings that way..." trying not to hurt her friend. "oh, well thats good i guess. im gonna go double check the walls." rainbow dash said in her normal cheery voice, bbut Applejack could see that the light in Rainbowdash's eyes had died. as her friend walked away, wings almost draging on the ground, Applejack thought for a moment. When she caught up to her, Applejack nuzzled rainbowdash's side and said "ah SAID i wasnt sure... that means i need to try it to figger it out for sure." Rainbowdash's head whipped around and when she saw what her bashfully smiling friend meant, a develish look came into her eye and she tackled the orange colored pony. But before Rainbowdash tried anything, Applejack put a hoof to rainbowdash's mouth and said "this dosent mean anything right? like were not gonna be no couple after this?" to which Rainbowdash nodded.
