Monster: Lizarius

Song Insert: Space Beast Rage

“SHHYA!” shouted the silver giant as he landed a drop kick to the chest of the monster. The beast reeled back in pain while trying to intimidate the silver giant before him by lashing the air with his claws. The Giant went into a defensive pose with his fists balled as the Kaiju, Lizarius, advanced upon him. Nexus performed a jump round house to the cranium of the beast that in return reeled back in pain from the sudden shock. The beast staggered back while shrieking in agony. His maw began to glow with a brilliant sea blue color while he charged up his beam, releasing the energy at the giant before him. Nexus used his arms to form an ex, using his fore arm armor to block, and absorb the beam! When the ray died, Nexus slowly lowered his hands to the side while particles of the left over beam dissipated in the air. Still keeping his gaze locked on his opponent.

The Night Raiders set their missiles on the beast was in advanced towards the Silver and grey giant. “Captain! Missiles are locked on the monster and are ready to fire!”

“Alright, let him have it!”

The side winder missiles sailed through the air and hist home across the Space beast’s body. Lizarius bellowed in pain as the missiles did their worst to his once impenetrable hide.

Nexus used his back foot to propel him forwards, using his gaining momentum to power up for a flying side kick that crashed into the chest of Lizarius. The kaiju bellowed in rage while attempting to bite down on the warrior. The giant side stepped the beast and kicked it in the jaw, making him stand straight while nexus drove his elbow into the monster’s gut.

It was time to change tactics. Nexus brought his arm forearm to his chest while the blue gem located near his wrist flashed a bright red. Thrusting his fore arm downwards, his body glowed a few moments while a shade of Crimson joined his once metallic body. Now in his Junis red form, He brought his arms together yet again. This time he turned his body to his left side, slowly turning to the right while his hand glowed with energy. Thrusting his hand towards the sky, a ray of golden energy ascended towards the heavens while Lizarias roared in confusion. The beam began to form a dome over them, slowly raining down upon them while Lizarius spastically turned his head every which way. However, the typically golden energy dome that surrounded them turned a sickly shade of purple that enveloped both of them. Now Ultraman was the one confused, something was interfering with his Meta field. He was somewhere else, but not in his own dimension. It appeared to be near a vast forest, and behind him he saw a small cottage.

“This isn’t the, my Meta field did not-“

His thoughts were side tracked when he felt Lizarius’s tail crash into his stomach. He yelped in pain when he fell to his back, making the whole earth shake beneath him.

“Captain, do you see Ultraman or the Space Beast anywhere?”

The Captain looked at his scanners, finding no trace of Earth’s savior or Lizarius. “They’re gone…” he said in disbelief.

“Eh, Hmm?” A yellow, Sleepy Mare awoke when she felt her enture house shake. She rubbded her eyes and stepped out from her bed while she slowly flew down her stairs, perhaps Angel was midnight snacking again? Whe

n she looked out into the kitchen, she could hear the shouts of what appeared to be someone who was in utter rage, followed by the roars of a monster that was unknown. Still out of it from her lack of sleep, she slowly opened the front door of her cottage, and squeaked in fear at what she saw before her.

There she saw Ultraman, fifty meters tall fighting a beast that was even larger. Her mouth hung open while her eyes widened at the sight of the colossal beings. The giant used his right forearm to block a swat from Lizarius’s claw, and retaliated with a swift roundhouse to its side. The beast then spun around and put the full might of his tail to use. Nexus caught the tail between his wrist and elbow, keeping a full grip on the elongated appendage. However, Nexus easily underestimated the power , and in one swift motion Lizarius flung to hero to the side. Nexus rolled away while he took in deep exhausted breathes.

He dive rolled to the side as Lizarius unleashed another beam from his maw that incinerated the trees. Nexus retaliated by swiping his hand across the gem on his left forearm. From his right hand a launched a golden energy disk that sliced temporarily stunned the beast for a few seconds. Nexus placed his arms in another X formation and dashed right to the side of Lizarius, round housing his chest and landing a chop to it’s throat. However, Nexus caught the upswing of Lizarius’s claws that racked across his chest. Nexus yelled in pain and fell to his back while Lizarius roared mockingly at the injured hero.

“ My time limit here, it’s longer than usual, am I still on earth or?”

He noticed Lizarius charge up yet another ray, this time it was aimed at the small cottage. He noticed a small pony tremble in fear as Lizarius gathered even more destructive energy. Following his heroic instincts, the giant dive rolled in front of the pony with his back facing Lizarius. Before Nexus could turn around to use a light barrier, the ray struck him in the back. Nexus yelled in pain as the beam ravaged his armor. When the ray died, Nexus’s armor was still intact, but the pain he felt was overwhelming.

“I, I could have used, ughh…”

The giant fell forward, his head landing just a few meters away from where Fluttershy stood. The yellow Pegasus gasped in shock at what had jus occurred. This giant, whatever he was, risked his life for the sole purpose of just saving her.

Song Insert: Heroic

“Not yet, I can’t give in, it’s not what I promised Sarah… I musn’t!” Slowly Nexus stood once more and went into a battle pose.  As Lizarius charged up yet another ray, Nexus ran towards the creature as it released it’s beam. Nexus quickly leaped into the sky and performed a drop kick to the head of Lizarius, who in turn fell to his back while releasing a blood curdling screech. When Ultraman landed behind the injured beast, he thrusted both of his fore arms downwards towards the ground to form another X formation. Slowly brining them apart while bolts of energy formed a net amongst his arms, Nexus placed them in an L formation.

Lizarius fired his beam as well, and the two rays clashed with one another. Quickly, Nexus’s Sky Blue Over Ray quickly overpowered Lizarius, and both beams struck the beast. After a few agonizing moments, Lizarius went limp and fell to his back. This was followed by an explosion that truly signified the monsters defeat at the hands of nexus.

Fluttershy stood there in awe when the giant slowly turned to face her. It’s glowing, unblinking eyes seemed to burn right through her as the giant kept his gaze on her. Who was this being who was capable of ridding such a terrible beast like it was nothing? One whose power possibly rivaled the elements of Harmony she helped wield. Whoever this Giant was, she thought that she was looking into the eyes of a god.

Nexus turned away from her, when suddenly he gasped in pain and fell to one knee. He grasped his chest when he realized the gash he received from Lizarius’s claws. His body glowed with a brilliant bright light as it dissipated into particles of energy. As Fluttershy watched, she saw him revert down to a dark haired human that fell onto his stomach with an extended exhale

Morning. The human slowly opened his eyes while shaking his head. His vision was blurry at first, but cleared after a few moments. One thing he realized was that the room he was in was exclusively populated by animals who looked at him with interest. As he stared back at them, he noticed that the same Mare he saw the night before was sleeping not far from him on a pile of blankets.

“Where the hell am I?”

His words awoke the small, yellow Pony who yawned quiet yet adorably while she stood up from her sheets. Her eyes widened when she saw the human look at her with a confused expression on his  face.

“Oh, um, good morning…”

Ren was never easy to surprise, but this, this for sure got a rise out of him. He simply cocked an eyebrow at the young Mare who trotted over to his bedside, “So, a dream of talking Ponies. What will my mind think of next.”

Fluttershy gasped in surprise, ‘You can talk? I had no idea that aniamsl could talk. Other than Ponies, Gryphons, and Dragons!”

Ren chuckled in response, “Well for one thing, I’m not an animal. I’m a human, and second, the only strange thing here is that a Pony with wings is talking.”

“Oh, um, well I’m sorry Mr. human. All ponies I know talk, I’m just surprised that you can.” She smiled.

“Just call me Ren.” He muttered. He looked around the bedroom he slept in and then back at Fluttershy. “Would you like anything to eat?” asked the yellow Mare.

Ren had not eaten in the past 24 hours, and that fight he endured had taken a lot out of him. “Very well. At this point I will take what you have to offer.”

Fluttershy nodded and slowly flew down to her kitchen. When she left, he saw a white bunny jump onto the bed he slept on. The bunny gave him a pensive scowl, and Ren cocked an eyebrow at the small bunny. Angel narrowed his eyes before hopping off the human.

‘Well, that was different.”

Moments later, Fluttershy flew back into her bedroom and handed him a bowl of noodles. Red nodded to her in appreciation and took a fork full of noodles. As Fluttershy smiled and watched him eat, she noticed that the injury on his side was already healed. She was going to ask how that was possible, but instead figured that maybe his kind heals faster than most ponies. But there was one question that she had in mind.

“Excuse, I don’t mean to sound nosy, but, who exactly was that scary giant? I’m not being nosy? Am I? Oh I hope not.” She blushed.

Ren was not the kind of person who smiled often, but the blush the yellow Mare had was downright adorable, “That giant?” he repeated while he took another spoon full of noodles. “You just mean nexus.”

“Nexus?” Fluttershy asked.

“Yes, his name is Nexus. Ultraman Nexus.” He pushed his empty bowl away and asked for another. Fluttershy nodded and quickly served him up yet another bowl. “Well, I guess I’m not dreaming.” He muttered.

“Tell me more about him.” she asked while she nibbled at some Apple slices.  Ren paused at eating and thought for a few seconds. He only knew so much about the giant. He only knew that the giant chose him to ward off the many Space beasts that threatened the earth, but other than that he was clueless of the giant. “I’m not sure what else I can tell you. The only knowledge that this giant has given me is his power, and how I should use it when fighting.”

“That was you fighting?” she gasped.

“In a way, yes. You saw me revert to my true self, so there’s no trying to hide it like.” He took another mouthful of food, “When I fight as nexus, my will, conscious, and mind becomes one with his. He acts upon my will, and he gains his power through my courage.” He wiped his mouth and pushed the empty bowl away. “Your food and hospitality is greatly appreciated, but I do feel that it’s time for me to go now.”

Fluttershy waved good bye to him as Ren made his way from her cottage. He walked down the dirt path, taking in the sight of the beautiful landscape. The farther he walked down, he could see a vast number of Apple trees as far as his eyes could see. He hadn’t had any sort of fruit in awhile, so he figured why not indulge in a few of them. He walked over to the nearest tree and plucked one off of it’s lowest branch. When he took a bite, he was amazed at the flavor! It wasn’t starchy, mealy, bland or too sour, it was perfect. He quickly downed that one and and picked three others for the road. When he turned around there was an “Uh oh, Look out mister!”And the next thing he knew a blunt force knocked him dead out.

“Was Twilight planning on coming with us? This is important! And I’d like to get this out of the way so I can get back to remixing those few soundtracks.”

Again, knocking. Ren’s back protested the position he was in, but he did not have the strength to change it..

The door slowly opened, and it was followed by a small gasp.

“Somethings wrong with this thing. I didn’t know what kind of animal it was, so I brought it over. I figured you might know more about it. It hasn’t moved since Ditsy dropped an anvil on it and knocked it into next week.”

“What?”asked a more congested sounding voice. “I didn’t mean to, I was just delivering my mail!”

“Maybe you should be a bit more careful next time.”

A third voice that was familiar met with Ren’s ears. “It’s him! Also, could you two please, not right now at least..?”

“Sorry, Fluttershy.”

“Yeah, sorry.”

There was a couple pokes at Ren’s side side. He heard and felt the breeze from the fluttering of wings as well as someone’s breath moving up and down his body. Someone—or something—was inspecting him.

“Is it... wearing clothes?”asked the same nasal voice.

This was followed by a voice that had a slight British accent. “It sure seems like it. You think it’s, well, civilized? Or friendly for that matter.”

“We can’t be sure just yet.”

Something soft touched Ren’s stomach . It tickled, but he tried not to laugh. Instead, instead his stomach replied with a growl.

“Oh, my.”

“What is it?”

“I think it’s hungry?”

In a lone, dark world, a black, red and silver giant gazed through a portal. His cold black and lifeless eyes observed the vast landscapes, the abundant forests, and the many villages of Ponies that lived were scattered.

“:My, what a beautiful world. Life here is much more plentiful than earth. Well, last I recall, I came here for an important task. And its to take care of that.” He turned to his side as a dark mist formed, and there stood a dark blue biped monster. It has three eye on each side of it’s head, two forward facing horns on it’s neck, elongated talons and a much bulkier physique.

As the beast shrieked in anticipation, Mephisto nodded in return. “Now, show these creatures what terror really is, Lizarius Golar… Aha, ahahaha!”
