chaotic harmony, equilibrium of the soul

"Okay! Let's go!" Raphael fist pumps as the train to Canterlot stops at the station. His excitement could not be contained by even the strongest of prisons. And he's been in one. "This is going to be great!"

His new associate, Shadow Snap, follows him, showing an equal amount of excitement. It was his first time in Canterlot. Raph begins to walk to the castle, only to be lassoed by AJ. He falls to the ground. Shadow smiles nervously at the orange mare. Applejack stands over Raph.

"Now hold on a sec there partner. We can’t just waltz right in there. We need to schedule a meeting first."

Rarity uses her magic to help Raphael up from the ground. "We can see you're excited darling, but Applejack is right. We need to request an audience with her first."

Raphael sighs while brushing himself off. "Very well then. Twilight, can you set up an appointment with the princess?"

"Of course I can. Spike, take a letter." Her assistant hopped off the train. Twilight clears her throat. “Dear Princess Celestia. We have successfully defeated Discord. Except it didn’t go quite as expected. Though he was encased in stone, he was weakened by a... I don't even know anymore. He looks human, but he possesses powers unlike any I've ever seen. And now this... Mary Sue-"

"Hey!" barked Raph. Twilight chuckled to herself.

"-requests an audience with you. I don't quite know why, but I think it might be important. So if we could schedule a meeting with you, we would very much appreciate it. Your faithful student, Twilight."

Raph's head suddenly shakes violently. Limbo has taken over. "Hey, maybe they will give us a way to give us more control over who gets the lead. I mean, seriously, these random changes suck!"

His head shakes again. Psycho's in the lead. "I think I might have to try harder to take control!"

Runician pulls up "I would not mind a bit more control over who leads... it is unpleasant to be put on the spot like this."

Intellect intervenes. "Enough you hopeless twits! Can't you all see that we are scaring these poor folks!? Put Raphael back at once!"

Raphaels body collapses to the ground, only to stop a few inches from the ground. He used his own magic to push himself up. "Ugh... I hate it when that happens." After brushing himself off once again, he looks over to the mane six, who are looking at him in terror.

Twilight tries to speak, but Raph cuts her off. “You’ll find out later.”

“But-” Twilight is cut off once again.

"... I will explain it all to you when I meet with the princesses, I have a feeling that they would like an explanation as well.”

Spike suddenly starts to gag and cough. He belches green fire from his body. He expertly grasps the scroll, and hands it over to Twilight. "Speaking of meetings!" Raphael eagerly awaits the message from the princess. Twilight reads it with an intense focus.

"She says that we can't see her for another four hours." Twilight says.

Raph's heart sinks into his chest. "You mean... we have to wait?"

"Yep, seems like it. Is that a problem?"

"No. It's just... I have no patience at all."

"Don't worry Raph, there's plenty of things to do in Canterlot." Shadow says.

"Like what?”

"I don't know, eat, sleep, sight-see..."

"I'm a spawn of chaos, not a tourist. Those things are boring."

"Then why don't you try to control your personalities? That could kill some time."

"Do you know how difficult it is to try and do that. I just want Celestia to offer me some kind of potion or whatever that I can use to control over these pieces of-" Raph's head shakes violently. He forms a sadistic smile that stretches about ten miles.

"Why don't you finish that sentence with-" Psycho trys to speak, but he stops abruptly. Not like they usually do when this happens, but he showed a look of pain. To Shadow's knowledge, Psycho doesn't feel pain. Well, he feels pain, he just chooses to ignore it. Psycho's look of pain faded away and formed a tired look.

Raph gasped for air. He looked at Shadow straight in the eye. "HOLY CRAP, THAT ACTUALLY WO- ow."

"See, you can do it."

"I can, but-ow- it really hurts."

"Stop being such a baby. Learn to control it, and it won't hurt anymore." Shadow walked towards the girls. He headed to Applejack specifically.

'I guess there's nothing to do but wait.'

Oh no, I hate waiting. Limbo said.

We all do, but it's the only thing that is possible right now. Intellect said.

Raph exhaled. 'Here comes a long, boring four hours.'

---Ten minutes later---

Raph was curled up in a ball. He rocked back and fourth, while muttering to himself.

---Eight minutes later---

'Did you guys notice that Discord was kind of a weakling?'

Yeah, he barely stood a chance against our weapons of awesomeness! Runician said.

---An hour later---

'For the last time, we are not burning down the Crystal Empire!' Raph mentally yelled at Psycho.

But I'm so booooored. There's nothing to do. Psycho responded.

'Here, let's do some role playing.'

What's that? Psycho asked.

'It's where we make up scenarios and play through them as someone else. For example, let's say there's a giant island that appears out of nowhere. You can be whoever you want.'

Then can I be an evil demon who tries to take over Equestria using nightmares?

'...suuuure, whatever.'

---two hours later---

To anyone who finds this piece of paper, then that means that I have died a terrible death. I have suffered the worst fate a man could endure. Boredom. I was originally supposed to have a meeting with two princesses, but they couldn't see for another four hours. I now have to wait for another thirty-two minutes. I'm afraid I cannot wait that long. I left a small fortune back on Earth. All you need to do is-

Raph was oblivious to the fact that Shadow Snap and Applejack were standing right behind him, witnessing the whole thing.

“Are you thinking what I’m thinking?” whispered Shadow.

“No. What are ya thinkin'.” Applejack responded.

Shadow started to walk towards Raph, making himself look troubled. So does Applejack.

“Raph! I have some news.” Shadow yelled.

“Please tell me that the princesses can see us now.”

“Actually no. They had to extend their meetings for another four hours.” Shadow smiled innocently. Raph stared at him with a burning hatred, that quickly subsided. Applejack is quietly giggling to herself behind him.

"Screw it!" Raph stands up. "I can't take this, we're going right now."

"But we still have-"

"I don't care. I'll be right back." Raph suddenly disappears, then reappears only a second after he left. He had the other five element bearers standing at his feet. And with a snap of his fingers, all of them were in the throne room.

"YES! Yes, I've been dying for this to happen, and now it's finally happening." Raph started to punch the air. The rest were recovering from the shock.

"WHO ART THOU AND HOW DID THY COME HERE WITHOUT OUR CONSENT?!" shouted Luna in the Roycal Canterlot Voice, only to have her mouth zipped by Raphael.

"I'm not done Luna, let me finish." Raph celebrated a little bit more before unzipping Luna's mouth. "I'm sorry for that. Anyway-"

"WHY HAST THOU COME HERE, CAN YOU NOT SEE THAT WE ARE BUSY!?" Luna yelled again. Only now did Raph notice the three important looking ponies. They were all wearing business suits.

"They can wait." Raph said.

"No, we cannot wait! We are currently in the middle of discussing what happened with that Discord cre-" Raph snapped his fingers, and the business ponies disappeared. "Yes you can."

"Twilight, who is this?" Celestia asked calmly.

Twilight walked to the throne, bowed, then looked back up. "This is Raphael. He, uh... helped us defeat Discord."

Raphael's head shook violently once again. While the princesses and the element bearers watched in terror, Shadow simply stared in boredom. Runician took over. "What! If anything, you helped me. I'm the one who weakened him. All you gals did was turn him to stone. I could have killed him for crying out loud!"

The rest simply said nothing. They all stared at him while Shadow sighed. 'This again?' Shadow thought to himself.

Raph's head shook violently again. Only this time, Raph was in control. "Sorry for that. I just have a minor case of multiple personality disorder, that's all." Raph stated.

Celestia herself was speachless. An awkward silence passed between all of them before she spoke again. "Can you... broaden that a bit?"

"Yes. Yes I can. I even prepared for this." Raph reached inside his coat pocket. He brought out a small, green gem. He started to rub it a little, then it grew substantially. Three legs popped out of it, giving it the ability to stand up. "And now, let me introduce my other personalities."

Pinkie Pie ran out of the room, and came back with a chair and some popcorn.

"We will start with Psycho, so we can get him out of the way." Raphael sees Pinkie eating her popcorn. He sends it away with a wave of his hand. "Trust me honey, you do NOT want to see this first one on a full stomach..."

With a clap of his hands, the gem's shadow started to extend onto the wall. A screen appeared on said wall, and an image of Raph was shown. "Greetings- friends of Raphael- to the introduction crystal. Psychotic personalty, Psycho." A picture of Raph in his psychotic state showed up on the screen, along with many attributes.

"Psycho. As the name suggests, he is a psychopath. When he posseses this weapon," Raph brought out a silver square. Within seconds, it grew into a broad sword. "It will turn into two small hammers. But uh, a tad bit more dangerous. And roll the clip."

The screen started to change to a cinematic scene.

A wasteland with Raphael in the center standing shirtless on a pile of dead Humans, Ponies, Diamond Dogs, and Dragons. "Ruaaaaagh!" Psycho charges at a human girl, no older than five, and uses his 'meat stirrer' to behead her" AHAHAHAHAHA!"

Raphael speaks up. "This is the monster I fight to control, Psycho." The cinematic keeps on going. Psycho is seen, grinning and laughing maniacally as he cuts down all in his path. he then comes against a dragon. It breathes fire on him, but to no avail "LETS BURN, BABY!" Psycho concentrates the heat and energy of the fire into a miniature sun, sending it straight into the dragons head, he then uses his weapon to slice open it's chin and crawl insde, cutting it to bits from the inside, he then bursts out from it's chest, holding its heart in his mouth "This is his paradise... I have to live in it whenever he takes over... I hate him with all of my heart..." Nopony has anything to say about it. Most hold in the urge to throw up all over the floor.

"Switching to persona -Runician-" A screen showing Raph in his magic persona.

"When Runician is in control, this weapon will turn into a magic staff." The cinematic begins.

A lone glade is visible, filled with small animals and plants, while a log hut is visible in the distance "Come here little ones, time to feed!" said a kind and happy Runician while he was riding a treant, "Now, who is first?" a little sloth pokes her head out of the treants branches and nuzzles him

"Hehehe, I guess you are first, little one." Runician hands an apple to the sloth, which it munches on happily after giving Runician a hearty hug "Aaaw, I love you to!" all of the animals are fed, and Runician sings them a lullaby for them to go to sleep, and Runician falls asleep in the pile of loving fluff, Raphael is then heard.

"This is Runician, he is my dearest and most treasured friend, I would do anything to make his dream come true, at least for one day..." Fluttershy is swooning over all of the animals.

"Changing to persona -Limbo-"

"When in possession, he has two short swords."

A rusty workshop in the middle of a vast desert is seen, various pieces of technology are seen in the mess that is this glorified garage, all that can be seen is Limbo working on a machine while singing a strange song. "I've been working on the railroad, all the livelong day..." Raphael is then heard "This is Limbo, my guiding voice. He is my balance between good and evil" Limbo finishes building the machine and takes it to his backyard, placing it an equal distance from other identical machines and hooks them up to each other, they activate and produce an aurora borealis.

"Changing to persona -Intellect-"

"He has a staff."

A giant library is seen filled with nothing but books, many pentagrams are visible on the floor, they seem to glow with a strange magic.

"This is Intellect, my most intelligent persona. He is a bit of a recluse, but he's kind enough." An owl lands next to Intellect, he looks over to the bird in question and gives it a food pellet, the owl eats it happily and nuzzles him.

"Changing to core personality, designation -Raphael-"

"Quick little imformation about myself, I'm a spawn of chaos. Discord's ancestor put a curse on every kind of animal, in this dimension and other dimensions, making them spawns. The rest of them are all terrifying, destructive, and crazy people. I wanted nothing to do with it. So I set out to kill them all before they could do something worse than they've already done."

The cinematic begins to roll. Raphael is seen walking through Ponyville, chatting with friendly ponies all the while, for the first time ever, he seems to be genuinely smiling.

"This is my dream... to live out the rest of my days in peace and friendship." A small filly is seen running up to Raphael, tackling him in a hug, which he then returns along with tussling her mane "I want to be loved... To belong..." The crystal image flickers and dies as Raphael begins to cry openly. "To not be hated for what I am... not experimented on, not hated, not stared at. I just want to belong!... crystal, show project bleeding dawn"

Displaying memories of -bleeding dawn project-

The ponies see the years of torture, ridicule, and experimentation that Raphael went through, all because he was different.

"The joke was on them, though. Due to those experiments all life on my planet is over... all that remains is a wasteland and a few survivors in the rubble... all from them using my body like a lab rat!" A massive explosion is seen, with thousands of malformed Psycho clones charging through the smoke. "These were clones of Psycho, a persona that became existent due to me being constantly pumped full of the same miasma that turned princess Luna into Nightmare Moon over a process of five years... I only managed to get control over him thanks to my personas and I fighting alongside each other against him" The crystal zooms into the eyes of the main Psycho to show Runician, Limbo, Intellect and Raphael all fighting Psycho, putting red crystalline chains all across his body. They all pull the chain, making all of his bones broken and dislocated. They all then say "Fall to the will of chaos, cur! We are the originals, you are just a lab experiment, a petty imitation, and don't you DARE forget it!" They all summon they're respective weapons and simultaneously attack his head with them, completing the sealing. "He is now sealed to our will, he cannot harm an innocent under any circumstances. We all have to be in agreement for him to be released. Though, none of us really care about that rule anymore, so he kind of shows up whenever he-"

Psycho briefly takes control. "WANTS!"

"Piece of... The point is, I want to swear my allegence to you. I shall faithfully serve you until my bitter end. Will you make my dream come true?" Raph goes to his knees, bowing to his hopefully new princess.

Celestia ponders the question. Her choices have greatly affected Equestria, so if she accepts his assistance, it could either end up making Equestria a peaceful place, or make it a chaotic wasteland. "I... accept your offer."

Raphael jumps in the air. Obvious excitement on his face summons Pinkie Pie to start celebrating too. She's cheering and laughing along with Raph.

"But," Raph stops dead in his tracks while Pinkie is still celebrating. "I want you to take control of your personalities. We cannot have Psycho getting loose. Do you understand me?" Celestia asks.

"Yes.... I understand."

Celestia smiles. "Then welcome to Equestria."
