Note to readers: This is an introduction! The story has not begun yet!

The first chapters will be told from the dwarves' point of view. In addition, the story starts from the point when the dwarves have actually established a camp in the land.

As to how they actually became to be in Equestria, they have no idea but they're positive that the elves had something to do with it. That, or perhaps the Chaos gods thought it would be fun to pluck a hold's worth of dwarves from the face of the Old World.
The mountain that they came to inhabit during their time was also a poor one. Most of the mountain consisted of marble, some sandstone and gneiss. While there were a few veins of ore, it would not have been enough for a hold in normal circumstances. These were hardly normal circumstances however.
Still, the dwarves got good steel and a mountain to hack at. Funny that this same mountain seems to be in the vicinity of a certain town known as home to the Elements of Harmony...
