What just happened? A second ago I was watching the princess past by on her float for the Summer Sun Celebration, then I'm on the floor with a crimson mask and a pain filled left wing. For some reason I can't hear anything except for a piercing little ringing noise. There's ash everywhere, ponies are running and screaming. I keep looking around, but I can't find the princess anywhere. There she is, right by her float. She seems fine, but I still need to go protect her. Great they're shooting arrows at her. My legs feel crushed for some reason. Just perfect a cart feel on me. I think if I try lifting it with my legs I can get it off. I can't it's way to heavy. More arrows are heading her way, I need to lift this off now. The pain is unbearable, but I have to push threw to protect her. Yes!!! It's off, but how the hell am I gonna get to her with broken legs and a broken wing? I need to crawl. The blood is starting to become a problem, it's covering up my face and the damn mud is getting on my face. I've prepared for these types of situation, but it's to damn painful. I'm almost with her now, just a few feet left. The pain in my neck is just a setback, I can pull this arrow out later. Finally here, I need to do something quick because they're not staying in one place. Maybe I can hold them off long enough for her to run. Probably the end of me if I try, but my job is to protect Equestria and our princess. She's using her healing magic.
"Stop wasting your energy, run I'll hold them off,"
Tears began to form around her eyes, "If I leave you will die, I can't let that happen."
"But, if you stay, you'll die. Equestria will lose order. Equestria means more than my life. Ponies like me, we don't have a place. You do Princess. All I ever wanted was to protect you. I can't do that if you're here. You need to leave with the other guards, you know I can hold them off."
She was clearly crying now.
"I promise I'll make it, now go."
She grinned, I was so a custom to it, but now I feel like now I can see it in its full beauty. Even at the face of danger she shows pure class. She began to run off, knowing my lie I forced myself to get up on all 4's. I realized this was the end..
"Loyal Until Death"
The clouds were as gray as can be, the thunder roaring, the fog was blinding the rain pouring, beating down on the ponies who dared to be out at the time. The winds would have made a full grown stallion fall on his flank. A group of guards were on duty in the horrible weather looking for anypony that had been injured or for any damage. A unicorn used his magic to give half of the group some sight. Another unicorn, Far Sight, took the lead to guide the group. After about a block of walking, they heard a the roar of thunder and the flash of lightning. There was a second of silence. The silence was broken by a thundering cry. The guards began to run towards the noise, until a building crashed down in front of them.
"That was obviously a foal, what are we suppose to do, now?"
Far Sight's horn began to glow,
"I can see threw the building, but not far enough to see where the foal is maybe if I," he was interrupted by a flash of light that appeared behind the group. A god like figure appeared behind them, the rainbow like mane flowed in the wind, even in the thick fog she shinned, Princess Celestia.
"I need you all to go around Canterlot looking for any other accidents," she said in a calm voice.
"But princess, what about the foal?"
"I can handle it, now go." The stallions weren't sure if they should go, but then again this is Celestia they're talking about. So they left to go check on the rest of Canterlot. Celestia teleported to the other side of the building. She was able to now hear the cries clearly now. They weren't the foals thou. She flew towards the cries. Two Ponies, A Pegasus and Unicorn, one Stallion the other a Mare. The stallion had been crushed, the mare was crying as loud as she possibly could. The princess landed in front of the mare. She was being crushed slowly but painfully. The princess looked her right in the eyes, all she saw was pain and tears. She looked over the almost untouched box and mumbled the words "Mist Twister". Celestia noticed the mare was using the last of her magic to protect the box. The mare turned her head towards Celestia, and painfully muttered "save him,". The mares head then hit the floor, she was dead. Celestia went to the box and looked inside, a colt, blue hair, and a scar under his eye.
She levitated him onto her back and began to fly away. The foal was asleep, most likely knocked out by the storm. Celestia looked back at him and noticed his wings were open, and his eyes. He looked confused at first, but then grew a smile at the site of the princess. She began to tear up, knowing what this colt had just went threw and could still smile. The storm was over and in its place was a beautiful rainbow.
