Chapters things get better before they get worse.
"so, what do I do now?" Rainbow dash asked to her new form teacher, she had just stared a new school and had no idea how everything went, as anypony who has ever had to start a new school will know.
"just sit down over there, next to Luke." Luke was a small scrawny pony with glasses and a semi-long, emo black mane.
"morning.." he said in a irritated tone, as if his own very existence irritated him.
"morning." she responded without much enthusiasm.
"RIGHT!" the form teacher (who she later found out was called Mr saddling) called out "we ave a new student today, her name is rainbow dash" there was then a muttering around the room, rainbow had been to a lot of schools, and many of the student already knew her. "So make her feel welcome! she has recently moved from the school across the bus station." there was another mutter then one particularly obnoxious student called out,
"YEAH WE KNOW! SHE GOT KICKED OUT!" there was a sea of giggles across the class room, she wanted to hide, even thought she had never been a shy pony, then the bell went and everypony stood up and proceed to the next room she simply followed a girl who she had been told was called Imi, and whose time table she was following.
The rest of the day was hellish, till she got to lunch, her first time of the day alone, pony's kept pointing her out and jeering but she didn't mind she had put up with it all morning. She took out a picture she had been drawing of a character in her favourite show, humans are magic, everyone thought she was a idiot, but they thought that anyway.
Then she heard a voice say "is that Andrea libman?" she looked up and saw a rounded face, partly hidden by glasses, but not the dorky type that Luke wore, stylish and cool ones. The filly also had a ponytail in her long blondish brown hair and a few spots on her face but not so many to stop her being pretty.
Rainbow sat up and beamed "yeah! do you like the show too?" she was so happy she thought she was about to burst, she just hoped that the girl was serious
"yeah! I love it!!!" she continued the smile, her smile was beaming, radiant almost, "I am orchid! and over there.." she pointed a hoof to ashy looking mare whit long black hair her hooves clutching a juice box, which she was sucking shyly "that is shikari! she likes the show too! "
rainbow gasped and stared talking to the new friend with every breath she could "this is so cool! I thought I was the only one!"
"oh there is many of us! all around, just some of us are not the best to talk to, most of us are quiet, BUT NOT ME!" Orchid took rainbow dashes hoof and lead her to the sitting filly with the juice box .
"oh..hi" she said politely, but almost like she was afraid to speak out of turn.
"HI! I am rainbow dash!" she put her hand out so shikari could shake it.
"pleasure to meet you!" she beamed a little more now her shyness evaporating into non existence. The three fillys chatted all lunch till a tall colt with glasses and short hair came over, holy celestia, could anyone in this school see properly? he looked down at her picture and snarled, "oh god! not another one of YOU" before walking off, he was clearly referring to her liking of the show
Rainbow turned to shikari and orchid and asked "who is this dork?" shikari choked a little and then turned to her.
"that is my coltfriend..." she hung her head and hid behind her mane and resumed her sipping, rainbow dash knew she should apologise but instead just said,
"why?"

after that, the girls hung out everyday, Rainbow found that shikari's coltfrend was named Rudd, and Rainbow found a instant dislike on him, as he was very obviously a bit of a pervert, and she was sure he was cheating, with a flute player in the band named belle, but everyone would hang out on one small bench, and when there are about 6 people, but 3 spaces it became a running joke about the seat always being full.
Rainbow dashed towards a seat as quick as she could, but Orchid sat there first "too slow dashie!" then her eyes started to sparkle "you could sit on my knee.." Rainbow, edged forward and perched on her friends lap, thinking nothing of it really , even hen Orchid wrapped her hooves around rainbows waist and rested her chin on her shoulder.
Rainbow didn't think it was big thing all afternoon, until it got to lunch when Orichid greeted her with a kiss on the muzzle and a smile "wait..are you being serious?" Rainbow was expecting a laugh in the face but she instead received a question.
"are you?" Rainbow smiled widely and hugged her new marefriend.
"so should we tell shikari?" Rainbow said, but they both shared a mutual desire to keep it secret, but had to tell her best friend.
"HEY SHIKARI! WE HAVE SOME THING TO TELL YOU!" they bellowed across the playground
"what is it?" shikari looked concerned, like they where ether about to tell her her mother had died, or punch her in the face.
"well..." rainbow smiled "me and Orchid are..." she continued to smile and they both raised there eyebrows.
"are what?" said the clueless filly
"WELL..." the both put there hooves round each other and continued to raise eyebrows.
"seriously guys just tell me!"
rainbow sighed "ok! me and orchid are going out!"
"wow...just...wow" shakari sat down and looked up at them "sorry I just hallucinated can you repeat that?" she eyes full of question, and her brain no doubt full of what.
they both giggled "c'mon silly! you two favourite girls are dating! is this not awesome!"
shikari's smile turned from questioning to happy "I am so happy for you!" she said, throwing her arms around her friends. "so..." she turned to Rainbow "how the hell are you going to tell your mother?"
the next day, Orchid and Rainbow dash stayed behind to help out in the music department, and as they where going down the corridor to get there Rainbow planted a quick kiss onto Orchid's lips and giggled, the wrapped there arms around each other and smiled.
"right, this is my stop!" Orchid said at the door to the left music room "see you later sweetie!" when she had gone into the room rainbow turned to be face to face with a colt named kall, he had floppy messy hair and a look of disbelief on his face.
"did..did you just KISS Orchid?" he gasped, rainbow had no idea what to say, so simply ran as fast as she could.
she began walking the path home, but felt someone clutch her foreleg, she turned round to she shikari panting "R-Rudd..saw you and Orchid..and...whole..band...knows..." there was small pause followed by a subtle,
"buck"

the next morning Rainbow anxiously walked up the the bench and could see them all giving her strange looks "I have been hearing things about you..." Rudd looked at her whit a smirk as he said it...his arm draped around belle like a clings stole, rainbow added two and two together and decided to comfort Shikari later. "fillyfooler!" he chuckled
Rainbow just ignored Rudd's cruel jeers and the cold eyes of seemingly countless ponies and continued to walk. She stopped when she reached the final bench as Shikari and her best friend Sherry were sitting there. "Dash, this is my friend Sherry." Shikari told Rainbow. "She's been my best friend since as long as I can remember." Sherry looked up and smiled.
"how do you do" asked rainbow in a low voice, sherry simply smiled back, her curly, hay colder hair swaying in the sun.."anyway, I am sorry to hear...well SEE about Rudd and belle" shikari looked to the floor and sherry snarled, her bright pretty features moulding into disgust and the mention of belles name.
"Please, don't talk about her... After she showed us her true colours..." Shikari just continued to stare at the ground with a forlorn expression, as the memories of her now ex-coltfriend came flooding back to her . Rainbow looked over to see Rudd and Belle kissing over-dramatically while Belle's friends watched intently.
"WOW!..that is something no one should see!" Rainbow sighed "is Orchid here yet, she is one off belles followers, she must already know...why did she not tell me!" she looked at the two filly's a glance "sorry but we have been arguing...a lot...all the time..." so yeah, that is not going well...someone else is showing there true colourer..."
"Oh yeah, you two are going out aren't you?" Sherry said. "Well... Yeah, I guess. She's not been very enthusiastic as of late...She's always with Belle's group."
"Oh, I see..." Sherry sighed. "See! That Belle's so manipulative! She can get anypony to believe anything she says!"
"Well, it worked with Rudd..." Shikari said. "He still thinks the world of her, even when she's cheated on him at last twice!" Shikari's voice began to grow louder with every word. Rainbow shook her head in disbelief. "I see what you guys mean now... She's awfully controlling."
"Yeah, but I've realized how much of a bucking flip-flop Rudd is too." Shikari said. "Anyway, I've completely moved on from him now, besides, I have someone else in mind." Sherry rolled her eyes.
Rainbow dash gasped playfully "is it that red headed stallion with the glasses?" I see the way you look at him sometimes! come on sweetie is is SOOOOOO obvious!" she then stopped and looked into her direction "but..I met this colt and I think you would like him!"
"Who is it? Is he pretty?" Shikari asked, interested.
"Oh boy, here we go." Sherry sighed, resting her face on her hoof.
"come on tell me!" teased rainbow, perching besides her friends.
"You're supposed to be telling me, silly!" Shikari laughed. "C'mon, who's this colt then?"
"is it that colt PEER? I saw you looking at him yesterday..." she giggled in a sing song voice, Shikari's cheeks turned crimson and she mutters in a quiet voice,
"might be..." Rainbow and sherry starting giggling until a shadow coved them, Orchid was stood there smiling, but not the beaming smile that made her beautiful, just the small curve that was forced onto her lips by the dread of many questions that would follow if she looked in any way upset.
"morning...are you coming to the cantine whit me?" she asked ignoring Sherry's steely glares.
"umm..yeah" she smiled at her friends and followed.

Her face burned, her head stayed as down as she could keep it, hoping that the filly's, and colts waiting outside the class she was coming out off would leave her alone for once, but they didn't, they never did. She felt a sudden jolt at her saddled bags as she was pulled towards the group, a sea of laughter and mocking rising up from the Filly's in the year up from her.
The next thing she felt was a hoof wrap around her own and pull her to a wall, in from of her stood a spotty colt, who was way to close for comfort, she jumped away but him and his fried grabbed her and slammed her into the wall holding her there, she was used to this, it happened every week. She had had just about as much as she could take.Suddenly she shouted and ripped away, she then turned round and punched the spotty colt right in the face. Now he was up against the wall.
"YEAH, BUCK OFF!" she turned and met face to face with her head of year "miss dash, into my office, now"
"so yeah that is how I got kicked out of school"
