A new member joins the herd
That night was quite stormy; the rain was pouring and the lightnings were dancing on the cloudy sky. Sweetie Belle, Applebloom and Scootaloo decided to spend that night on their clubhouse but considering the storm, they were starting to regret that.
A powerful lightning hit the ground near the clubhouse causing the tree shake for a few seconds, that was terrifying but that place was the safest, the roof has no leaks and they were warm below their blankets.
After a couple of hours, the storm started losing strength allowing the three fillies sleep peacefully. Next morning the sun was raising quite early and the rooster sing could be heard in all the place announcing a new day.
“Wow, look that mess outside.” Scootaloo said looking through the window. “Girls, wake up."
“W-what happened…” Applebloom yawned. “Sweetie Belle, wake up.”
“Just five more minutes please.” Said rolling to the other side.
The two fillies just stared at their lazy friend but both tummies started to growl, Sweetie Belle wasn’t going to wake up soon, so, they decided to perform a tickle attack on her which was super effective.
The apple orchards became a complete dump, broken branches everywhere, apples all over the place covered in mud and the leafs turning the path to the barn all green. Moving slow between mess and mud in order to not get dirty, the three fillies started to walk straight to the barn, really hungry and expecting a great breakfast. Sweetie Belle saw something strange below one tree after tripping with a big branch on the ground.
“¿What’s that?” Pointed with her hoof.
Something was below two big branches, covered by leafs and without making any kind of movement. They felt a little afraid of that but it had some injuries on the head.
“S-Scoot, go for you scooter and take the cart.” Applebloom proposed.
After a few seconds Scootaloo had everything ready and the three fillies started to move it, it was a little heavy but they managed to put it in the cart.
“Now, where?” Scootaloo questioned getting ready to drive her scooter.
“Isn’t it obvious?” Applebloom answered crawling on the cart. “To the hospital!”
Sweetie Belle on the other side was helping to hold it inside the cart each time Scootaloo was taking a curve at full speed. Moving fast through the town, they were intercepted by a purple unicorn that was running near them.
“G-girls, is everything alright!?” Twilight asked really worried.
“We’re fine but I don’t know about him.” Applebloom replied holding tight.
“My gosh! Are you alright girls?”
Suddenly someone asked that form above, when they raised their heads to see, a yellow Pegasus with pink mane and tail was flying near the cart.
“Oh! What’s that?” Fluttershy asked looking at the cart.
“Is every pony going to ask or you’re going to help?” Scootaloo grumbled raising the speed.
Twilight and Fluttershy helped opening the path straight to Ponyville’s hospital. Immediately the doctor and the nurse took the patient and started treating the wounds while the fillies and mares were in the corridor.
“Who is that? Fluttershy asked.
“More than who is… I’m intrigued in what is that.” Twilight added to the main question.
Nopony knew the answer for the two questions, only expecting it to recover conscious was the only way to know that. The doctor and the two nurses came out from the room after a few minutes.
“The external wounds were treated but we have no idea what kind of creature is that.” Said cleaning his hooves. “If it is dangerous we can’t keep it here.”
“Don’t worry doctor, we’ll stay here until it…”
“Anyway, IT is male…” The Doctor interrupted Twilight.
“Ok, until HE awakes.”
At least two hours had passed on the room, Applebloom’s sister joined after receiving the notice that the three fillies were in the hospital. She took something to eat and scolded them because she thought that one of the three was hospitalized.
“...at least half town saw you three going fast to the hospital.” Applejack continued scolding. “I was very worried for you.”
Lunch time had already passed and everything started to be boring, Applejack was chatting with Twilight and the cutie mark crusaders were playing with Fluttershy. The evening was passing until they started to hear some noises.
“Uh… w-what…” A weak voice started to sound.
“Eh, hello?” Twilight greeted gingerly.
“Ow, all my body hurts.” Said while putting his foreleg on his face. “Why am I wrapped in bandages?”
“Oh, that… you’re in the hospital right now.” Twilight answered his question.
“A hospital, where am I?” Asked opening his eyes to see who was answering. “AH!?”
He was completely surprised when he stared at the group of ponies; he sat on the bed and put one of his forelegs on his chest, which looked like a claw more than a paw.
“W-what are you and where am I?” Asked a little nervously.
“Actually we’d like to know what you are and where you from…” Applejack replied.
He put his fingers between his eyes rubbing them, it look like he wasn’t understanding what was happening there.
“We are ponies, and you are now in Ponyville.” Applebloom answered.
“Ok, talking horses… two unicorns and two pegasus… I must be dead… “
“We are not horses.” Sweetie Belle Snorted. “They are bigger than us.”
“That makes a little more sense…” Said. “You really don’t know what I am?”
“Not a clue sugarcube.”
“My name is Ian Newyd and I’m a Human.”
All of them made a little gasp of fright, that was completely unexpected. Fluttershy flew behind Applejack, The Cutie Mark Crusader ran behind Twilight and she was standing without comprehending what she had in front
“Did I said something bad?” Ian asked after seeing those reactions.
“A-a human… right…” Twilight babbled. “He looks like some of the descriptions on the mythology books…”
“A myth? Why are you acting like that?”
“Sorry but according our stories, humans tend to be… bad…” Applejack replied to his question. “But they are a myth, they never existed, right Twilight?”
“Yea, like Pegasus and Unicorns are myths too and never existed.” Ian ironized.
“Stop!” Twilight shouted. “Let’s put everything together; for you we’re a myth, right? and for us you’re a myth… where are you from?”
“Let’s call it, the human world” Ian replied.
“Well, you are now in Equestria, our home.” Sweetie Belle commented.
Everything started to make a little more sense but there were still some questions to be answered. Ian put his hand on his chest, noticing that he wasn’t wearing his t shirt or his jacket. While he was checking his bandages, the doctor came into the room
“Sorry for interrupting but I heard part of your conversation.” Said. “And if everything is real… he can’t stay here much longer.”
“But he is hurt!” Scootaloo replied.
”It is for our security.”
“It’s ok, I’ll be fine.” Ian said.
For some reason he noticed that those three fillies didn’t feel afraid of him but it would not be good if everyone was scared of him.
“Then, how did you get here?” Twilight asked.
“Well, I was practicing a teleportation spell when…”
“You can do magic?” Twilight interrupted.
“Y-yeah… I do… but maybe something went wrong and I ended here.” Ian answered scratching his head. “Let me show you.”
His right hand started to shine, reciting a spell, and then putting his hand on his chest, the shine covered his body for a few seconds. After that, he took away the bandages and the wounds weren't on his body any more.
“That was healing magic?” Twilight asked completely amazed.
“Yes, I’m a human wizard and some of us can do this spell.” Answered. “But I’m still in training.” He added. “I need to return to the place where you found me.”
“We found you in the apple orchard.” Applebloom said jumping on the edge of the bed.
“I remember three voices, thanks.” Ian said sitting on the bed. “I owe you one.”
Ian started to scratch behind one of her ears and one of her rear legs started to kick, Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle wanted that too, so, they jumped on the bed.
“I need to return there in order to trace some of the magic that brought me here.”
They were ready to go, Fluttershy was still behind Applejack and twilight earned more confidence about him. When he stood up ready to go, the blanket fell in the floor.
“It’s a male indeed.” Applejack commented.
A little breeze started to flow over there, something wasn’t right.
“Where are my underwear and my pants!?” Ian shouted covering with his hands.
