Corrupted Kingdom
Ch 1 The Princess and the Dragon
Load Full StoryNext ChapterThe sun rose from the east its warm glow shining throughout the black marble room. The room itself decorated in dragon like plushies. Dragon dolls lined up on the ornate mirror alongside makeup and perfumes, as well as on top of the dressers. However the queen size bed covered in black sheets matching the room was free except for one dragon. One white cotton, with soft silver spikes was being held. Krystal, a changeling princess, was holding the plush tightly to her chest. Ever since she was a filly Krystal was extremely fascinated by the mythical creatures. Strong and powerful, old and wise. Krystal loved everything about them, even the dragon's faults.
The princess yawn sheepishly wanting to stay in bed. But it was a special day for her. A very special day. Krystal pushed the sheet off her, rising from her bed, wearing a see through nightgown black in color exposing her green lingerie underneath. Her bra barely containing her c size breast, her plump rear sleek and reflecting the light just so as she got out of bed, both a testament to her beauty. Stretching and popping her joints, ridding herself of the kinks one accumulates in their sleep. A blissful and content sigh exited her as five ponies entered her room.
“Good morning princess. And happy birthday.” The five said in unison. All were unicorns, wearing the typical maid outfit, though a size smaller, they had made an effort to push their bodies as close to each other as possible their bust intermingling and rubbing against each other. The princess smiled. It was her eighteenth birthday the prime of her youth, her first steps into adulthood, respect, and fun. Being eighteen means she could attend some nightclubs, not that the princess didn't sneak out from time to time, shifting from one mare to another. Now she can go out and have some fun in her true natural, beautiful, form. One that would catch the stares of both her subjects pony, and changeling alike. Granted her mother doesn't catch her. “Morning,” The princess said yawning once more with the effects of Luna’s lullaby embrace still affecting her. ”And thanks... What is on the agenda today?” The princess ask hoping that her day would be a special one. One of the maids pull out a small scroll from her pocket, then clear her throat.
“Oh at eight you will be having breakfast with your mother, and at two you’re needed at the ballroom to meet up with the nobles so they can wish you a happy birthday. And hand out the presents,” One maid said while two others went into the princesses closet and picked out a black and green dress only something royalty would wear, while the other two began to make up the princesses bed. Krystal let out a soft sigh, she hated to deal with pesky nobles, rather the hypocrisy of the act itself is what she hated, it was usually to gain the royal family favor, or some minor problem that the people couldn't solve on their own. ‘Well all sunny days have their shadows.’ She thought
After the maids helped their princess with her dress. She walked along side the halls. Greeting the nobles and servants whom wished her a happy birthday. As she walked down the once white marble that was Canterlot halls, both floor, walls, and ceiling was now black and green. Krystal couldn't help but think about the plans she and her mother had for today. She was very close to her. Her mother taught her, with the help of some of the mages (both changelings and unicorn), tactics, magic, extensive general knowledge, foreign policies, cultures, language, and of course how to be a proper princess. But what the princess most enjoy was spending time with her mother. She entered the dinner room to see a taller, bustier and older version, only she had green a mane with holes, of herself sitting at the end of the table. The queen was dressed in her black royal gown decoratively embossed in diamonds and silver accents.
“Happy birthday my sweet little angel.” The queen spoke. Happy to see her daughter arrive.
“Good morning mother.” The princess took a seat next to her.
“So Krystal. What will you do on your 18th birthday?” The queen asks, as two unicorns walk in with the royal breakfast. They place plates of six stacks of buttermilk pancakes, and two cups of black coffee in front of them.
“The maids told me that at two I was supposed to meet some nobles. And the rest of the day I’m free.”
“I see. Well how about this, Krystal, the guards had caught some new rebels last night and needed some re-education. I might need your help in breaking them." The queen said. Knowing full well she could handle a handful of rebels but her daughter hated the nobles so much, it was the least she could do.
Krystal eyes shot up in glee. She had helped her mother with the re-education process and she enjoyed it. The torture of the ponies who think there can challenge her isn't what she loves no it was much more complicated than that, to dominate someone, that is what she loved, to teach them that their goddesses were nothing more than mortal beings that can raise the sun and moon, to her it felt a necessary evil. Her mother The queen of the changelings had saw to it. Sadly Chrysalis had to keep them alive just for that purpose, to raise the sun and moon. ”Really mother I can join you in the re-education?” The princess asks earning her a nod from her mother. ”Hurray!!!” The princess jet forward and embrace her mother.
“Why of course Krystal. Think of it as your present from me to you.” Chrysalis said hugging her daughter. After the motherly embrace Krystal sat back down, and begins to eat the meal that was set before her. ”But try not to break the new ponies....too much.”
“Mother I've been meaning to ask.” Krystal asks placing her fork and knife down. "What ever happen to father? Every time we talk you never mention him?” This caught Chrysalis by surprise, and it showed when she spit out her coffee. The server went to the queens aid but she waved a hand saying she’s fine. Krystal's father has, on a number of time, come into the castle to try and claim her life, while she was only a foal in her mother's womb 18 years ago. Even though they had lost contact, Chrysalis believes that he’s somewhere in Equestria
“I wish I knew sweetie. But your father was listed as MIA a year after you was born. He was a white stallion, his coat white as snow, and both his mane and eyes look like yours Krystal. He was strong, smart, and handsome." The queen said as she wiped her mouth with a napkin. ”I only wish he’s safe wherever he is.” The queen voice almost sounded like a whisper. She hadn't fallen for her daughter's father, she couldn't. It was unheard of that a changeling, a creature who feed off love, to fall in love with some other being.
“I hope so too.” Krystal said looking down at her breakfast.
The two after finishing their meal, bid each other farewell. Chrysalis had to meet with her changelings nobles. While Krystal was free to do whatever she pleased. As the princess navigated through the castle's maze like halls, she was again greeted by guards, nobles, and servants all wishing her a happy birthday. Krystal waved, and thanked them. A minute passed as she navigated to the royal library. She was greeted to a most beautiful sight, books upon books line up the walls, numerous bookshelves had made corridors that ran fifty feet in length before turning a corner. This was Krystal's favorite place to come by and relax to let the problems of the world slip by like the clouds floating by in the wind. That and the librarian was cute. Krystal looks around to see the neatly placed books on the shelves. ’Twilight really like to keep thing clean?’ The princess thought while she spotted a purple unicorn wearing what any business mare would wear. A short but tight brown skirt with a button shirt. Black stocking to hide her smooth purple legs, her dark purple mane with a single streak of pink mane was tied in a bun. And small reading glasses. Twilight was on her favorite chair reading a book title the life of a changeling and a stallion, a romantic novel by, well actually it was anonymous. A rare thing to find a book with no author, but they still exist, and this one, though popular, had no one claim it as their own.
“Miss Sparkle.” The princess voice snap the bookworm mare out of her trance. She closed the book, stood up and bows. ”Sorry, Sorry, Sorry,” The mare said when she lookup. ”Princess. I'm so sorry I was distracted by.” She was cut off by a hand.
“It ok Twi. Anyway I’m here to catch up on some reading.”
“The dragon and the princess?” The unicorn asks, knowing that Krystal had a fascination with dragons. She knew something was missing whenever the word “dragon” was mentioned. However, to her great annoyance, Twilight couldn’t put a finger on it. Twilight, always trying to remember, always coming up with a blur shrugged as she used her magic to levitate the book over to Krystal's hand. Taking the book, the princess sat down in her favorite seat near the window and begins to read the chapter, she started.
The dragon had pushed its way through the guards that protect the castle. Azmith couldn’t wait, to follow bureaucracy and seek audience was not the dragon way, even less when it prevented from attaining something that was his. He wanted to see her. His princess. He’ll do anything to be with her. Even if he had to give up his horde, power, and soul, to be with her, he would sacrifice everything and anything. he rushed in the courtyard, but was greeted with a volley of arrows most bouncing off his thick armor like white scales, others pierced through his wings, making it hard to maintain balance in the air if he chose to fly. Azmith inhaled as much air as he could, only to released a jet stream of white flame, burning anything that came into contact. The screams of guards filled the air. Flesh, despite their armor, was being burned to nothing more the a pile of mush and ash. He looked around to find more guards, readying their bows, there arrow tips pointed to the monster. ”WAIT!” was the sound that everyone heard. Azmith turns his head to the west side to see the one who claimed his heart. Princess Fiore. She was more beautiful every time he saw her, her snow white coat, her blond mane, her clothes the same she were three years ago, when they first met. It was a pink dress with matching colors gems, that alone brought joy to the dragon but what surprised Azmith was the heart shape sapphire necklace. The one he gave her three year ago for her birthday. ‘After all this time she kept it. She does truly care, she really loves me.’ Fiore ran up to the dragon, and spread her arms out like she was his wall. She wanted to protect him. Be with him, Love him.
“Don’t you dare lay a finger on him!” The royal mare shouted. The dragon lowers his head to the princess’s eye level, where she embraces his muzzle. “I’m sorry Azmith, I’m sorry the guards attack you.”
“It is fine my princess, I’m a dragon, like I have told you we are resilient. And it worth it so long as I get to see you princess it doesn't matter.” The dragon said putting one claw on her back.
“WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS!” The voice echos throughout the castle. Heavy metal steps that could make a pony shiver in fear drew closer, and closer. All the remaining guards knew who was coming and bow. From the northern gate a middle age unicorn stallion who was wearing a golden crown encased with rare gems, battle armor that would shine in the golden rays of the sun, granted the smoke from the dragon fire didn’t cover the skies, was polished to a mirror like sheen, his red cape made from the finest silk blew with the eastern winds along with his grayish blonde mane. their king had arrived. His icy cold blue eyes looked around the carnage. All his man, burned alive, the green grassy fields not but black ash, vibrant and strong trees charred and dead, The stallion looks up and found his daughter in the arms of the beast who wipe out most of the stallion’s forces. ”GET YOUR FILTHY CLAWS OFF MY DAUGHTER!” Shouted the stallion drawing his sword. Not unlike most dragon’s Azmith didn’t listen but tightened his grip around her The dragon growled, smoke bellowed from his muzzle. The king’s sword began being encased in an icy blue aura, he knew that dragon scales wouldn’t be easy to cut through, considering that they are harder than diamonds, so his sword needed to be sharper. Concentrating he began molding the solid piece of metal, removing, fixing, and sharpening the edges of his sword, his magic serving two fold both fixing then enchanting the blade.
The king charges toward the dragon, Azmith on his part turned around, lashing his tail to the king sending him back to the wall. Wasting no time, the dragon let out another stream of white flames, The flame came to the king like a tidal wave ready to reduce the king to ashes him. It never happen since the king put up a shield at the last moment before the flames hit. The dragon growled as he attempted swipe at the king. Razor sharp talons, meet steel as they clash, the sheer forced sending both the king and dragon back. The king hop back on his hooves. The king releasing lightning spells at a frightening pace which proved ineffective. The dragon laughs unaware of the dark clouds looming over the castle. The flames begin to subside. Rain begin to pour heavy soaking anything, and everything under the black clouds. The flames disappear as the thunder roars. The dragon look up and spread his wings. He flap a few times creating a strong gust of wind. Fiore turns her head to look at her father, then turns back in disgust and hate.
“Goodbye father.”The princess spoke in an icy tone in her voice.”I hope we never see you again you monster.” The dragon held on to the princess and took off. Leaving the dumbfounded king behind.
“WAIT!” The king held out his hand, but it was too late, The dragon wings flap harder, lifting him up. Once he was a meter of the ground the dragon begin to fly away from the castle, holding his love, his princess tightly. “FIRE!” The king wasn't going to let them go, not that easy. The arrows shot into the air, all missing it targets from the violent winds the dragon was making.
Ding Ding Ding Ding.
The clock on the wall over the entrance of the library rings. Krystal look up and saw it was now two. ”Damn it.” Hisses the princess bookmarking the page she was on. The princess closed the book and walk over to see Twilight reading a book title Theories in the royal life cycle of the changeling queen. “I’m borrowing the book again Twi.”
The unicorn lookup from her book. “Oh....but you read it about ten times,” The unicorn stated. “Are you sure you’re not trying to be a bookworm like me.”
“Ptff No. I just really like the story.”
“Is it because Azmith sacrifices himself at the end in order to save his beloved princess?” Twilight question cause the princess cheeks to flush.
“N-N-N...Yes.” The princess covers her face with the book, effectively hiding and exposing herself to the librarian.
“No worries princess.” Twilight ensures her. ”Go ahead, I know it your favorite. Just make sure you return it this time.” The two giggle, Krystal turns and took a step toward the door, when Twi called. ”Oh before I forget,” The unicorn went over to her desk and pull out a small purple and green book title my little dragon. ”I know you like stories about dragons and it your birthday.” Krystal use her magic to levitate the book from Twilight grasp and into hers.
“Oh Thank you Twilight.” Replied the princess.
“What are friends for.” A sharp pain made it way to the purple mare’s head. Twi grip her head and whines. Krystal knew the spell her mother placed on Twilight would waver if keywords were uttered. The spell, unfortunately chose them from words with deep meaning to the afflicted and for Twilight “friend” was one of them. After all she was the element of magic and friendship and it could turn her pure if she remember her first friend name. Chrysalis, anticipating the spells lash back, implanted her with a memory eraser spell.
“Again, thank you.” Krystal said before rushing out and onward to the ballroom.
