[I am so sorry this is just so bad now that I look back at it]
These may be my last few hours, so I am writing this. I am Smith and if you are reading this, keep reading because this is my story. If I am dead I want to be buried with my wife we all ways planned to do that. I will tell you when it started. it was last week when I woke up. I opened the window that is next to my bed. Then I sat on my dresser. I toke a large breath of fresh air. I went out of my room to the bathroom. I looked in the mirror my dark brown mane and tail were tanked like somepony took a fan and shoved it in. I tried my best to brush it. The way I slept my brown coat was a shaggy mess. My eyes were a sad green. After staring at myself I put on my black smiths apron like every day and went out of my house.
I saw a few ponies trotting by, I waved. They waved back they were a Pegasus and a Unicorn, I don't know their names. I am just a regular, boring, plan, earth pony. I just I uh... I’d like to be a Unicorns or Pegasus. I wish I was like them, special. I am just a black smith. My cutiemark is a hammer and metal. I make knives, swords, and armor things for war but there is no war in ponyville or equestra. Well ware was I? O' ya after saying hi the ponies I went to the market place to sell my wares. Only one pony looked at my stand a White pony with a long flowing violet main and tail. She asked me if I had any sewing needles. I replied with "I think..." I looked for a bit I found some like 10 or 12 I told her it would be 2 bits she gave me 5. I told her she gave me 3 bits to much she said "I know" and walked off. I thought to myself "well that was generous I think … or rude maybe?” I then went home.
That night there was a cold wind coming from the window. I went to close it but a Pegasus came flying though the widow at celestias speeds! She was blue with a rainbow main her eyes were a red pink. I replied and I Quote "WHAT THE BUCK... Uhmm... are you ok and who are you?" she said "I fine .... WHAT?" "What is something wrong?" I replied "Ya you don't know who the best flyer in the world is!" I just looked at her as she went on rolling my eyes threw most of the parts of her "speech". "As you can tell by my cutiemark, I am a fast! flyer." her mark was a cloud with a rainbow lightning bolt then I said "fast but not very coordinated." She screeched "The sun was in my eyes." I then calmly said back to her "the sun is not even up.” “Err... I don't know what happen but please don't tell. Ponies look up to me!" she plead, I said "alright" she thanked me then flew out the window. I flopped on the bed and when to sleep.
When I woke there was a knock on my door I went to open it a pink pony jumped out knocking me to the ground. She had hair that seemed to defy gravity. Her cutiemark were three balloons. She was talking so fast I could not understand what she was saying but I did make out happy birthday. Even I forgot it was my birthday but she seemed concerned or upset. I asked what was wrong she said slowly “Well I am just so sad *sniff* none other of your friends came, I told everyone” I told her didn't have any friends. She had a face of fear and then rambled on about how sad I must be without friends. I cut in telling her I started to avoid my friends after my wife died she had a heart disease. When discord came back all the crap that he was doing she just could not take it and she died. I would not of had such a hard time but she could not have fillies I told her that to. I don’t know why I told her all that I just need a friendly face to talk to and she had one. She looked like my wife and my wife was just like her always happy. She asked what I did for a living I said I was a black smith. She jumped with joy wonting to see some of my work. She tried on some of the armor she said the armor was some of the best. My wife would have said the same thing. She left at the end of the party but not before telling me her name it was pinkie pie. I then went to work but when I got home a mail mare gave me a letter. The letter was from celestia it said in the letter that she had heard what happen and that she was sorry for my lost but that pinkie pie told her about my armor and wonted to see it. The princess wonted to see my work! That night I when to sleep knowing my mom would be proud.
The next day I went to the library to learn about canterlot manners. When I got there a dragon answered seeing weirder things I ask if the librarian was there. He said “no she is not here and my names spike thanks for asking” then showed me in. spike said “she is in canterlot” I replied “oh I am going there tomorrow to meet the princess. So I came here to get a book on canterlot manners” he said “I think I know where a book like that is.” He then grabbed the book off the shelf and handed it to me I thanked him and left. I was not looking where I was going and walked into an orange pony with three apples as a cutiemark. I said I was sorry. She replied “oh I didn’t see you there. Hay I haven’t seen you in ponyville are new?” I said back to her “no have lived her for a long time I just don’t go out much. Sine my wife di…wait why am I telling you this?” she said it ok I understand we all go secrets.“ We said goodbye and went on like we never met.When I got home I read the book I just got. After that I pack my armor, drawing designs, and my forge gear. I put all my stuff in my cart and then went to bed.

I woke up early the only other thing awake were the birds. I headed on up to the train but on my way there a Pegasus ran into me. She barley knock me over it felt like more like a small gust of wind hiting me. She was I light yellow with a pink tail and main her cutiemark were three butterflies. She said politely but too soft to understand “oh I’m so sorry I didn’t see you.” “It is all right, what is your name?” I said back. She just whispered to herself “uh… it is fluttershy” I just said “nice to meet you” because I somehow just knew she was too shy to speak up. I got on the train with my cart and headed to canterlot.
When I got there I saw tons of ponies many had signs with names on them. One said Smith I went on over and told him who I was. Then he looked at a picture and then showed me to his carriage. I saw tons of ponies staring at me. To them I was a dirty commoner in a high class carriage I bet they thought they should be in there instead of me. The funny part is they all look shocked when the guards let me in to canterlot castle. The driver helped me with my stuff and said “someone will show you to your room.” I thought “a bed room in canterlot castle wow!” A pony in a suit came u and said “oh you must be the black smith let me show you to the forge and then your room.”
The forge was huge and it lied in the castle catacombs. It was heated by hot magma to enrich the metal. The tools were as shiny as a diamonds well they were diamonds! But I trusted my tools with my life. After the forge he led me to my room. He then said this is your room the princess will see you tomorrow. When he left I sneaked down to the forge to get a head start. I tested all new designs like brighter designs for Princess Luna and darker ones for celestia. When I finished my work I went to go up to my room then I saw a missing brick in the brick wall. The rest of the walls were a ruff bark brown grey and it had one missing brick. the thing is I could have sworn it was there before. I looked into the hole were the brick was missing. It looked like it went far back, I then stupidly reached in there was a lever. I yanked on it several times on the seventh tug it broke off and flinging me back. The staircase leading out of the room shifted to the left leading to another staircase going down. I would have flicked the lever to fix the staircase but it broke off. So the only way out is going down or waste away waiting for help. I then descended the stairs.
Descending the stairs thinking who would have made such a weird staircase in a blacksmiths forge. Perhaps a long forgotten lunar forge that gives you a power that was Unknown to any of pony kind, or the most powerful ore that can be made in to anything! But in mid thought I released the torches on the walls lit them self’s as I walk by them on the walls of the damp narrow staircase. The bricks look like they were older the equestrian itself. I felt like the stairs would never end. On the way down I heard moans and creeks but I pushed on. After a bit the stairs finally flattened out to a hall way. The touches lit the walls less and less but they gave of the same amount of lite. The wall were getting darker I thought but I went on but later down the hall there was a split in the hall there was tree signs. The one on top of the others said “in life you will get choices some may be as simple as going left or right” One pointing to the left saying “left may be true but not right.” The one pointing right saying “sometimes being right can be wrong.” I thought about it for a bit. I remembered my wife being big on riddles she would ask me them all the time.
So I went left because they were both were dissing the right hallway. The hallway was dark so I grabbed one of the torches on the wall. The torch was wet but I could not tell what is was so I went down the hall with it in my mouth. It had a funny taste it was like copper but sweet and salty. As I went down the hall it started to get wider and opened to a larger unlit room. The floor started to get a splashy noise to it then all the sudden orbs of light just well pop in. starting at the other side of the round room they came around room getting closer to me reviling to me the reason way everything was wet and the walls were darker. At the top of the room it had ponies hanging on chains. That’s why the torch tasted like a sweet salty copper. Blood tastes coppery because of the copper ions that are dissolved in it. Many metals dissolved in water give off ions. Copper is used to help transmit nerve signals. Blood tastes like salty and sweet because of the mixture of salts and sugars that the body uses to live. It all just hit me in the face then and there I should have known my wife was a doctor after all.
But the only another thing in the room was a large forge on the front it said “a good blacksmith can forge many things. A great one can forge almost anything but with this forge I can forge the heart’s desires. I went over to get a closer look the only thing I saw was my wife lying there. I don’t know how she got here but oh celestia why? Why? How could you let this happen I wanted her back but not like this. I looked at her dead body you know how ponies said a pony looks peaceful when they are dead... they don’t she just looked like some pony just blow out a candle. Her wings where spread out, her pink coat was shining like a freshly forged sword and her main and tail were pink with darker pink streaks. I never really I mean really looked at her cutiemark. It is a heart with a needle in the middle of it with a red cross on it. She is I just don’t know is this really my heart’s desire. I love her but I wish she was with me well living so I’m just sitting here writing this. Next to her was an ink, quill and a bottle with some paper. I found a hole in the wall I am putting this letters in the bottle but I guess that is my heart’s desire to. One last thing if you do find this in time I am going to spend the last time of my life here with my wife but If anypony can save me please do. Goodbye world
