New to the princess and political game, Twilight is given a "practice run" by Princess Celestia: a seemingly minor but still strange case of mass disappearance in a coastal algae-fishing town called Seagift, which had gone quiet for years before suddenly resurfacing again with bizarre practices.

OK'd by Celestia to take her friends along for familiarity and safety, Twilight can only wonder what awaits her and her friends in the town of Seagift, where she must uncover the source and the reason behind the town's weirdness.

Afterwards, troubled by the memories of the town, Twilight retells her story in her own words in an attempt to clarify the situation for herself and for others... In case anything happens to her.
