The Forgotten Prince
The night sky was clear all expected for the stars and moon. Luna must have put everything she had into tonight. the crystal empire shined with the moon and reflected the stars. but the castle was the most magnificent reaching for the stars. Near the top a a small light escaped the castle through a balcony window. Princess Cadence Walked onto the balcony and stared at the kingdom. She always wonder what it would be like when her and Shining got married and she had to run a kingdom. Well it wasn’t all terrible. Aside from the two never seeing each other till after the sun sets due to shining preparing a crystal royal guard. She just hope that he would show up so they could spend time together. As captain of the guard he had to help the crystal empire start a guard. This had taken a toll on him since the empire was just recently freed from Sombra rule.
She held her breath as she heard noise beind her. she looked around for Shining. But found a lone parchment on the ground. She unrolled the paper and began to read.
“He’s working over again” She said with sadness.
She threw the parchment of the balcony and turn her attention towards the stars then began count every individual star.
One. Two. Three. Fo....
She stared at the fourth star she counted as she watched it move in odd directions. Left, Right, Down, Up, Forward, Backward. “What's Luna up to” she thought staring at the lone star dancing in the moonlight.The star reminded her of her little brother, A playful energetic one he was Especially after find his talent in controlling the stars and comets even though was a earth pony. The day cadence remember that her brother went mad and tried to destroy Celestia after she banish Luna. After his banishment Celestia told Cadence of his power and how much she feared him. Cadence couldn’t wrap her head around it. why would he go mad and try to eliminate Celestia when he loved his family. Also he was just a kid when he was banished how could he be so strong. Cadence stopped thinking she didn’t want any thoughts of him. The star continued to dance as if was crashing. Matter of fact the star looked as if it was crashing, Growing in size aiming for the crystal kingdom. Cadence flew toward the threatening object in order to intercept it with her magic. Then the star turn left reacting against cadence’s movement causing her to pass the star. But now that she looked at it cadence realize it not a star or a meteor as she chased it. The fireball begin to loss thrust as it approaches the castle. As the object become more visible cadence fight the urge to pull up when the ball losses fire revealing a dark gray stallion reassembling somber. Cadence backs away as the pony crashing into the balcony sliding into cadences’ bedchamber.
cadence lands softly and begins looking for the intruder spotting a pile of objects in the corner. she approaches magic at the ready.
“Uh... help me.”
Cadence is shocked to hear the pony is still alive. “Who are you and why do you trespass in the crystal kingdom.” she snaps almost instantly.
The stallion rises from the pile and start to look at cadence before she stop him by shouting at him. he looks almost identical to somber the only difference she could was his horn.
“Please I need help. I-I need to see my sister. she in Canterlot. I hope.“
Cadence decide to play his game. “What her name” She said calmly wait for the dumb name he was gonna say.
“Princess Cadence”
This is shocker Cadence is disturbed and starts freaking out.
“What” she said quietly.
The stallion turn around and almost screaming “Cadence is that you” said trying to get a closer look “It is you please you have to hide me from Celestia she coming for me and I-i don't wanna go go back.” he took a step forward and thats when Cadence saw it. His eyes were different colors... Just like her little brother. He took another step as cadence charged a taser spell. The stallion recognized and scream “No wait Please” But it was too late she zapped the horseapples off of him as he dropped to the floor.
Cadence couldn’t believe it. there in her floor was a stallion that looked just like her little brother. she stared for a minute trying to find way to be sure. Then she looked at his cutie mark and there sat the eight stars with a comet soaring through them. Here in front of here And she just zapped him.
