-Knock knock knock-
I awaken to the sound of someone knocking on my bedroom door.
Who would do that?
“Coming!” I yell, jumping out of bed and throwing some pants and a t-shirt on.
I walk down the stairs, stifling a yawn. I open the door to find...
“Aah!” The thing jumped back in surprise... Wait, that's Twilight Sparkle.
I rubbed my eyes, thinking this is some sort of crazy dream.
“Okay, either i'm having a dream, hallucinating, or Twilight Sparkle is at my bedroom door.” I say, my thumb and index finger in a Star Trek facepalm.
“W-What are you?! H-How did you know my name?” She asked.
“Yep, I'm losing it. My name is Adam, and I'm a human.” I reply, stepping around her to see that the rest of the house is gone, and a dirt road is crossing where the kitchen should be.
“Uh-huh, I'm definitely losing it.” I say, looking at the horizon, seeing what seems to be Ponyville to the left of me.
“You didn't answer how you knew my name...” She said, going and dragging Spike out from under the stairs, his hiding spot as soon as Twilight jumped back..
“H-hey, let me go!!” The dragon yelped, scrambling to hide again.
“Spike, don't worry, I don't eat dragons. Or ponies for that matter.” I said, walking over and crouching down next to him.
He managed to free himself from Twilight's grasp, hiding behind the stairs again. “W-well, what do you eat?”
“Don't have a heart attack, but where I come from we eat meat AND vegetables. Usually fish, cow, pig, or chicken. No dragon meat anywhere in there.” I said, expecting Twilight to go hay-wire on me.
She backed away a little, with a repulsed look on her face “Ugh, that's disgusting!” She said.
“Don't worry, i'll go vegetarian since I'm in Equestria.”
“How the buck do you know all these things?!?!” She yelled, obviously confused.
“Looong story. I'd like to talk to Luna or Celestia, seeing as how i've already run into one princess. I'll tell that story gladly, but I don't want to have to repeat it a bazillion times.”
“O-okay.....” She quickly took a quill and piece of parchment out of her bag. She hastily scribbled something down, and rolled it up. “Spike, send this for me, will you?” She said, a shaky tone to her voice.
He puffed a couple smoke balls, then shot out the classic green flame, whisking the letter to Canterlot.
“I said to meet us at my house, so if you could... pack anything you need up, that would be nice.” She said, casting a glance at my bedroom.
“Sure, give me a couple minutes.” I ran up the stairs, stuffing my DSI, my 1GB Sansa MP3 player, and a small USB cord with a wall charger into a backpack. I also grabbed my pillow and blanket off my bed, just in-case I wouldn't be able to get back to my bedroom for a while. I grabbed a few sets of clothes, and then walked over to my bathroom, grabbing some deodorant and toothpaste, with a brush, tossing everything into the bag.
I looked over to the side of my bathroom, and noticed that my 24” BMX bike was there.
“Huh, don't remember putting that there.” I mumbled, wheeling it to the stairs.
“Twilight?” I called down.
“Yes?” She answered.
“Could you pull the door open for me?” I requested, slinging the back-pack over my shoulders, and putting my Sony Stereopones around my neck.
She opened the door, a pink glow surrounding it.
“Alright, come over here. I need some help with my bike, if you could levitate it down for me, that would be nice.” I said, putting the front tire down one stair.
“Bike?” She asked, popping her head through the doorway.
“Human contraption we use on earth. Here, take this down.” I said, holding it so she could get to it easily.
She used her magic to levitate it down, the pink glow lighting up the dimmed stairs.
I quickly followed it down.
As I took a close look, I noticed I was about even with the base of Twilight's horn, being 5'3'' tall.
“Thank you” I said quickly, hopping on it. She was obviously curious as to how the machine worked.
“If you want to, I can give you a demo on the way to your house.” I said.
“Sure.” She said. “It's a long ways, so I might have to fly.” She said, looking at spike with a 'I'm stumped' look.
“Spike, if you want, you can ride on the handlebars. Just a warning, it's gonna be a bumpy ride, guessing at how this is a dirt road, not paved.” I said, thinking that Twilight might not be able to fly the distance with him on her back.
“Uhm, yeah, sure.” he said, coming over to the side of the bike.
“Which part is the handlebars?” He asked, a thinking look on his face.
“Here, i'll help you up.” I said, not thinking he'll be able to get up there.
I reached down and picked him up with some difficulty, setting him down on the handlebars but not letting go.
“Eeeh, that's a bit too risky. You could just fall off the tubes. Here, i'll ride with one arm, and you can ride in my lap.” I said, blushing a bit at the awkwardness.
“Okay then.” He said, a little freaked out by human touch.
I put him on my lap, hugging him semi-close with my left arm, my right on the handlebars.
“Okay Twi- Is it okay if I just call you Twi?” I asked, noting how warm the dragon was on my lap.
“Sure.”
“Okay Twi, lead the way.” I said, doing a quick check to make sure my brakes were working.
She galloped a bit ahead, then took off. I followed, pedaling quite hard.
“You okay back there?” She yelled back to us.
“Yeah, could you slow down a bit? It's a little hard to keep up with you!” I yelled back, still hugging Spike close to me.
She slowed down, now just a few feet in front of me.
“That better?” She asked, not needing to yell now.
I nodded, as we approached Ponyville.
