Chapter 1: The Awaking
I was dead, in front of my friends, on the bus. The man was picking me up from the pavement and dragging me into a forest. He then proceeded to revive me. As I woke up, I saw the man but there was something different about him. He had a horn, but not just any horn, it was glowing. In my daze I also saw that the man was turning from a man to something different, perhaps a horse? But the horse was shorter than me, the man took off his hood. He was no longer a man, but a dark blue unicorn type thing.
"Can you hear me?" The horse said, in a high pitched tone. I found out that he was no longer a he, but a she.
"Yes." I replied in a tired tone, even after being dead for a couple of minutes. She then tapped my forehead with her horn and I blacked out almost instantly.
When I woke up, there was a throbbing pain in my head, I looked around and after a couple minutes of questioning where I was and staring at this new land in complete awe, the dark blue unicorn (Who I could now see had wings) said "You're in Equestria. Yes, I knew that you we're questioning where you are, but I can assure you, you are in Equestria." During all of this, I was just sitting there with a stupid look on my face, for I was questioning if I was going insane or if the (I guess) pony was talking. After the talking (and me with my retarded look) we set off for what she said was a town called Canterlot. After walking for a couple of hours, I worked up the courage to ask her something that was bothering me ever since I arrived "Why exactly did you kill me, revive me, and bring me here?" She looked at me and said "I can't answer that, that is something you must find out." And with that very strange statement, we continued to the town of Canterlot.
After what felt like forever we arrived in the town and Luna (Yes, I asked her what her name was) showed me around. The town was one of the best that I've seen in a very long time, and by a long time I mean my ENTIRE life. During the tour of the peaceful town, we met some ponies, some who were complete greedy, snobby, jerks, and some who were, how can I put this... Very nice? But, there was one pony that stuck out in my mind. Her name was Octavia. She had grey fur (I think?), her tail and mane were black, a very classy bow tie, pink eyes that I got lost in, and a picture of a Treble Clef on basing off of what I knew, her flank. What made her stand out was the Treble Clef on her flank, I was almost sure that it meant that she was someone who played an instrument.
After the tour of Canterlot, I was curious on what the inside of the royal Canterlot castle looked like from the inside. I asked Luna if we could go and check it out, she said, in my way of understanding things, that we could. So we set off for the castle, following sign after sign for what seemed to be eternity. As we approached the castle, I could make out two figures by the gate of the castle, I wasn't sure who or what they were but from the way they looked, it seemed that they were angry. When we got to the castle, the two figures, that now resembled guards, opened the gate and we walked inside. I was startled when the gate shut with a bang (Yep, I was always the scared one), Luna quietly laughed. When we had gotten inside, I was not prepared to see Octavia playing what looked like (To my understanding of stringed instruments) a cello. I began sweating (Why? I have no clue) as I looked at the grey pony trying to look like I was not scared, but inside, I was... A lot. Just as I was about to walk away, I noticed my Trombone. I was happy to see something that I knew how to use, but at the same time I was wondering, "Why is my Trombone here?" I didn't have anytime to answer my own question, because Luna had levitated the instrument to me. I asked her very quietly as to not to disturb Octavia from her playing "Why?" But Luna pushed me to the spot where Octavia was playing.
She noticed me, Luna, and my Trombone and said with a tone of class "Hello there" I stood, frozen in place, sweat dripping from my forehead. "You ok there?" She asked, I nodded my head, "Nice, um... Cello you got there" I said, very nervously. After a few minutes of a very awkward silence, she asked me if I could play the Trombone, I of course made the idiotic decision to ask "Why?" When I remembered about what was in my hands. "Because you've got one right there" she said with a chuckle. I could feel my face turning red due to embarrassment. "Come on, I know you want to" She was right, I did want to play it, for I was, in my opinion, a Trombone Jedi (No comment). I walked up to Octavia and stood to the right of her. I noticed the music stand in front of me, with the Trombone part of many musical pieces. I shuffled through the music until I found the one that was on the top of the stand in front of Octavia. "You ready?" She asked me, "As I'll ever be" I replied with a hint of sarcasm in my voice.
After what felt like a couple of hours, she said "Well, this was fun, we'll have to do it again soon" I nodded my head with a very big smile on my face. As she was putting her Cello away in the case, she said to me "I had never gotten your name, mind telling me what it is?" After a few seconds I said in reply "Cody." After that, and seeing that Luna had left (Where she was, I haven't got the slightest idea), I put the trombone back where it was. Octavia asked me if I knew my way around the castle, I shook my head to say no, and Octavia was silent for a moment. After the moment of silence, she asked me if I wanted to stay at her house, where I wouldn't get lost very easily.
"That would be wonderful" I said in reply.
Chapter 2: The Night
Octavia and I had just left the royal (I guess) palace in Canterlot, we were walking down the sidewalk when she asked me where I came from and what exactly I was. Keeping pace with her I said that I came from a place called Earth, a place very, very different from Equestria. And then I said that I was a "Human Being" (With air quotes). "Ok, my turn" I said while putting my hands in my pockets. I then asked how she could play the Cello without any fingers, she chuckled at my question and said that she had never really thought how she could. We were still walking very slowly and chatting along, I was even starting to 'show my true colors' or if you want it in a way that doesn't sound like a rainbow, that I was gaining more trust in Octavia. We were in the middle of debating about which instrument was better (She knows more then you think...) when a group of ponies in leather jackets (Resembling what looked to be a biker gang) came out of nowhere and bumped into us. My first reaction was to run like hell was chasing after me, but Octavia kept me from running (Shut up, I know your laughing). My heart pounding faster then the speed of light, I walked up to the ponies and apologized. The last thing I felt before I blacked out was a hoof to the face (not the most pleasant thing).
I woke up in a dark room, with a single spotlight on me. I stood up, confused and worried, but then I heard a voice. "Well, well, well. What do we have here?" The voice said sarcastically, I demanded that the voice tell me it's name, but when it began I blacked out again, and woke up on the sidewalk with Octavia looking over me with a worried expression on her face, the other ponies were gone. I felt relieved about that, REALLY relieved. Octavia hugged me with teary eyes as she said almost shouting "Oh thank Celestia your alright! I thought that you had passed" I recovered from whatever shock Octavia's hugging gave me and returned the hug while comforting her. We sat there for what seemed to be hours but when we released from the hugfest only 5 minutes had passed. We continued walking to her house chatting about random subjects, most of them being music related.
When we had arrived at her house she unlocked the door and we both walked inside. It was a two story house with instruments, sheet music, and other things of that nature scattered around on any table that could have been put in the house (How it all fit in there, I'm still trying to figure that out). "Sorry it's a mess..." She said with an embarrassed look on her face. "It's alright, almost makes me feel like I'm at home" I said with a smile. At that moment, I felt a feeling of grief. I was wondering about my family, what they had been told, how they would react, and... Was there going to be a funeral for me. Apparently Octavia saw that I was sad, so she asked me "Hey, why the long face?" As I was standing there, now crying I said with a stutter "I'm j-just worried about m-my f-f-f-family." As soon as I said family I broke down in tears, now on my knees I began rattling off random things about my family. Octavia comforted me, saying that it wasn't my fault. I sniffled as I said "Sure, that's what you think. I could of stopped this, somehow..." I trailed off again, rambling about something that even I cannot remember now...
The next day
I walked down from the guest bedroom on the second floor, after getting my (Needed) 7 hours of sleep. Tavi was practicing her cello when she noticed me, "Oh, hey there sleepyhead. Get enough sleep?" She said with a sort of mocking tone in her voice. "Yes Tavi, I did." I said with my hands on the back of my head, "And I'm ready for whatever life throws at me today" I said with my hands still on the back of my head. Octavia must of known that I was still half asleep, because after I said that, she threw an apple at my head. Lucky for me, I have the reflexes of a dead cat so it hit me, square in the forehead, and it hurt, a lot. "Oh my gosh!" She exclaimed, "Are you alright?" She added on after. "Yea, I'm fine, but I think I'm going to have to enhance my reaction time" I said, rubbing my head where she hit it.
"Damn, that's a nice trombone ya got there" I said as Octavia unlocked a trombone case (How does she do that with hooves?) When suddenly a unicorn with white fur (Still I think?) and a mane with two different shades of blue came out of nowhere.
"Oh Celestia why?" Tavi said as the white unicorn approached us.

"You're going to be late for school!" My mother called to me from the living room.
"I'll be there in a second!" I said in reply. It was Thursday and I was sleeping soundly, hoping that my mother would just forget about me. I'm 14 years old, in 8th grade, and I'm a good 5-6 feet tall.
Today started out as a normal day, I had gotten up at the crack of dawn. Taken a shower, put on my New Lunar Republic T-Shirt (I had bought it for the design), all that sort of stuff, but I have no clue what's lying in store for me.
I had walked out to the bus stop, or other wise known as the corner of our street. My family and I lived on a nice street, nice people, ya know, all that jazz. But, yet living on this good street, it always felt like something was missing. Little did I know (Due to the fact that my mother had woken me up at 4:00 A.M.) that there was a man in a black coat at my bus stop. I had, without knowing stood right next to this mysterious man. The man turned to me and held out a gun, demanding that I give him all of my money, I had made the wrong choice and said "Screw you." The second I said this, I knew I was done for. I hoped that the man would let me go, but unfortunally, he didn't. he took the gun, aimed at my forehead, and at that moment the bus had arrived. Then the man shot. I fell backwards, in front of all my friends, bleeding, dead.
Or so I thought...
