The final defence of the 100th Celestial and Lunar guards
It all started after the first invasion, we all thought it was over, forever, boy were we ever wrong, this is my story of our brave defence in the name of our most honored princessess!
It all started, Lunar calander year 1566.
We saw them, we saw hundreds of them, approching our walls, hedious vile creatures that none of us had hoped to ever see again.
They marched and flew towards our walls, making the walls shake with each monsterous step the army took.
Infront of them, was there Queen, Chrysalis.
Shouting out encourgement to her troops, she marched with them.
Our Captain Shining Armor, was at the walls with me, watching in specticle the massive army marching towards us.
"Captain, we can't hold them off this time sir, there's too many of them."
"Relax Lieutenant, I will go send messages to the Griffons, and everywhere across Equestria for reniforcements, we just have to hold them off for 3 hours, it's going to be bloody, and lot's of our men won't make it back, go rally the troops, to the main courtyard!"
There was only 100 of us left from the first invasion, 50 stayed behind the secondary walls to protect there, me and the captain stayed with the troops in the courtyard. We all knew what was going to happen, what they where about to do, did any of us have any cowerdly thoughts?
Maybe, but no pony said anything, not when they broke through the gate house, not when they poured in, not when we fought for our lives.
Changeling and pony bodies littering the ground, me and the Captain had to retreat after one hour fifteen minutes of fighting, we retreated back into the inner walls of the castle, where the remainder of guards were stationed.
Me and the Captain took thirteen of our finest. And we retreated to the castle, and got the prinecssess, that's when Shining Armor's last order was issued to us.
"Men, we still have a long time to fight, and they outnumber us, me and 4 of you are going to stay behind here, just incase they breaktrhough, I want the rest of you to regroup in the basement, and guard our princessess to the death.
Princess Luna was the only one to talk out against his order. "Shining Armor, this is too risky, I won't stand by and let the rest of the guard's ponies die!"
"Princess, you are our hope, our future, Equestria's only hope, if you fall, we all fall, these ponies knew what would happen when they signed up, the knew it might come to this, they're still here though, they understand the risk, now go! Before they break through! Digital Dark, I want you to lead the rest of the men, can you handle it?"
"Yes sir!"
So we all ran to the doors for the basement, I stationed 2 guards ponies there, and the rest a few feet behind the door, me and the princessess ran as fast as we could, until we heard an explosion.
Princess Celestia understood what had happened.
"Shining Armor has fallen..." she said with a tear dripping down her cheek.
"Princess, he was an honorable pony, we must move! they will be here any second and we still have a long time untill reinforcements arrive."
for the next hour, the changeling's all fed, and this gave us some time to retreat.
but they started searching for us again, they arrived at the basement doors, we ran to the end of the basement, I stood infront of my Princess, as it will not be long untill they arrive here.
"Damn, still only 30 minutes untill reinforcements, princessess, if I die here, it's been an honor being your guard!"
then, they came, rushing towards us, so many of them, charging right at me, biting me, scratching me, I fought back, I killed many of them, the heavy fighting continued for what felt like hours, but was only thrity minutes.
"Princesses! Reinforcements shall be here in any minute! I hope they can reach us in time..."
My defence was faltering, the princessess had fierce looks on there faces, and I was blinded by some kind of light...
I fainted, and woke up three hours later, the princessess were safe, the changelings gone, ponies and Saddle Arabian's all around us, in the throne room.
"Princess Celestia?"
"Yes Digital Dark?"
"How bad are my injuries?"
"They are really bad Lieutenant, we've tried our best to help you.."
"It's ok Princess, just as long as you are safe."
"Thank you, guard's pony, we are having a ceremony for your fallen comrades right now."
"Princess? can I go say good bye to my friends?"
"Yes, we shall go together."
With that, we were both teleported to the Canterlot Gardens.
"Goodbye Shining Armor, and the brave men of the 100th Lunar and Celestial guard's ponies."
I looked around, and saw a rather sad looking pony, I approched her and asked her name.
She said "Twilight Sparkle is my name, and I'm here because my brother Shining Armor died in the defence of the Princess."
"I fought with him, he wanted to stay behind in the throne room, he and some of our brave guards, your brother, and those ponies died as hero's, if they had not died we would not be here right now."
"Thank you, what is your name?"
"Digital Dark Lieutenant of the 100th Celestial guards."
"So you fought with my brother?"
"Yes, he fought very bravely."
Our conversation finished there, and Twilight went to talk to Princess Celestia, and Princess Luna walked up to me.
"Thank you guards pony."
"For what m'am? I was only doing my duty."
"You fought very brave, and so did your comrades, you're the last pony for the 100th Lunar and Celestial guard, we are
forming a new legion, will you be the commander?"
"Yes I will m'am, but may I ask for a personal assignment?"
"What's that guard's men?"
"I wish to be the palace guard."
