It was the first summer since Princess Luna's return. The Ponies of Equestria prepare to celebrate the upcoming Day of Harmony, which was issued by Princess Celestia in honor of the return of the duarchy.

Unfortunately, things take a turn for the worse when Twilight noticed signs propping up, which grow more and more dire as she found them. When Princess Celestia was finally warned of a terrible threat, she assigned the bearers of the Elements of Harmony to help defend it. No sooner did aliens, who call themselves the Zertheks, come down from the sky and intend to conquer the world!

Will Equestria's greatest heroes fend off the aliens that can rain laser fire from the sky and conquer entire kingdoms in a single day? What do they want? And more importantly, why? As our heroes confront the imperialistic Zertheks, their friendship will be tested, stunning revelations will unravel, and unexpected company will be made.
