It was a great day in Ponyville. The sun was shining with a few clouds to give us shade. Most of the little fillies and colts have gone out to play. Its these days that made me wish that I was young again. And seeing the fillies and colts play make me feel so guilty of what I have to do.
I lie on my bed writing a letter to Princess Celestia. I need her to know. I’ve been putting this off for so long. But she needs to know.
I finish the letter with my signature at the bottom. I place the letter on the small table next to my bed. I take a look at the clock. “Its still 8:00. She should arrive soon.”

I comb my hair and comb Dinky’s too before we go to Granny Grace’s house. Its my day off so I decided to spend the day with my lovely muffin and granny. She has been really sick lately and i feel that i should spend a lot of time with her. I pack a coloring book and some crayons for Dinky.
But before I could close up the bag Dinky walks up from behind me and says ”Mom granny isn’t boring. She’s the funnest person I know!”
“More fun than me?”, I reply.
“Of course not mommy!”, she answers.
“Well I’ll just pack this thing in your bag so we can go. I packed the crayons and coloring books so you could do something quiet just in case granny wants to take a nap”
“Ok mommy.”

I hear a knock on the door and a mare say “Granny we’re here to visit you!”
“Come in.” I reply
I see Derpy Whooves with her daughter Dinky with a bag around her come in.
“Good Morning, Granny Grace!”, she greeted me.
“Good Morning Derpy, oh and Dinky too! Would you two like some muffins? They’re on top of the oven. I baked a batch just for you two today.”
“Thanks Granny Grace!”, the mare and the little filly reply in unison.
They always had a love for these pastries. It always fascinated me how a simple treat could make someone so happy. But I did have a secret recipe!
“How are they?”, I ask.
“They’re great just as always!”, once again the two reply in comparison.
After they finish half the tray, which held a dozen just a few minutes ago, Derpy turns to me with a big grin, the same big grin I see on her face everyday when she gives me my letters and I thank her with one of my muffins.
“Thanks Granny! Now today me and Dinky will take care of you!”, she tells me.
“Ah I see. Well thanks Derpy. Could you send this letter for me?”, I ask.
“OF COURSE!”, she replies but then she reorganizes herself and continues “I am the best mail mare in Ponyville! I’ll have your letter sent to to wherever you want! So where do you want me to send it to?”, she asks in reply.
“Well this letter is very urgent and I need it sent to Princess Celestia.”, I answer.
“PRINCESS CELESTIA!!”, she shouts excitedly.
“Yes to our dear princess. Is there a problem?”
“Of course not! But This trip would take up most of the morning. I really wanted to spend a lot of time with you”, she answers.
“Oh its ok if you don’t want to...”
“NO NO NO I WANT TO DO THIS! I came here to take care of you and take care of you I shall!”, she answers with a serious tone.
“Well then off to it! I’ll take care of Dinky and I just might teach her my recipe.” I tell her.
“Of course! I’ll be back in a few hours”, after thsi phrase she leaves quickly leaving a yellow blur.
I never thought she could move that fast.
“When mommy makes a special delivery she makes it extra special!”, Dinky exclaims.
“Of course she does. Dinky want to make muffins?”, I ask the little filly.
“Of course I do!”, she answers.

As soon as Grace told me to leave I was already flying. The wind in my mane and tail feels so great I just love to take long distance letters but this one is extra special this one is for the Princess herself!
The trip took half of the morning but I’m here at the gates of Canterlot and as I try to fly threw the gates two pegasus guards stop me.
“HALT”, they shouted at me in unison.
“But I have a letter to deliver”, I answer.
“Then let us take it instead, who is it addressed to?”, the guards say the same thing in unison again.
“To the Princess, its from Grace of Ponyville”, I answer
“G-GRACE! Well then carry on then. The Princess will want this specific letter delivered to her”, one of the guards replies.
“We aren’t supposed to do that!”, yells the other.
“The Princess has specific orders about letters from this specific pony”, the other answers calmly.
“Ah. Ok then carry on”, the other says calmly.
“Ok thanks!”, I tell them as I flew towards the castle tower.

“Princess Celestia and oh uhmmm Princess Luna, there is a letter sent to you directly by this pegasus pony with an unusual pair of eyes. Shall I let her in?”, one of the unicorn guards ask.
“Yes yes let the pony in. This may be very important. Whom did she say the letter came from?”
I ask.
“From Grace of Ponyville”, the guard pony answers.
“Grace...... a name I have not heard of for a long time”, I silently mumble.
“Princess is there a problem?”, the guard asks again.
“None. Let the pony in posthaste”
“Yes Princess”
“Uhmmmm Celly may I ask you who this Grace is?”, Luna finally speaks to me.
“A very important pony. And a good friend. Not many know her but she has been a great help to me during your absence”
“Ahhh. So she is a royal adviser from before”
“Nope, just a good friend”

I fly towards the room the guard pony instructed me to go to. But as soon as I get threw the first flight of stairs flying got a bit too tiring. I start walking instead, with each step echoing in the large palace. After a few more flight of stairs I finally reach the room. “Finally”, I mumble to myself, it was hard not to start talking to myself in awe of the great palace I just walked in. My eyes takes in 2 perspectives of the palace indoors as I walk. It was spectacular. The floor is made of pure marble. The walls were covered in wallpaper. The design is marvelous. If I had the time to look at every wonderful detail I would be stuck here for a long time but it would be shorter since I can look at two places at once. “This place is beautiful”, I silently mumble.
I finally found the door at the top of the tower. I walked halfway after getting in the palace but started flying. This place look much smaller from the outside. “I wonder if she uses any magic on her palace to trick other ponies.” After that silent thought finally reached the highest point of the tower another guard stops me.
“State your business”
“I am here to deliver a letter the Princess. A letter from Grace”, if her name got me pass that other guard easily this should be a breeze.
“I will take it personally”, says that guard.
“Sorry but I believe granny Grace wanted me to deliver this personally”
“I cannot let you do that”
“Why not?”
“Becau-”, as he spoke the two sisters walked up from behind him while opening the door.
“Ah. It appears the mailmare from Ponyville has a letter for me. Thank you for delivering it to me. The trip must’ve took a long time and must be very tiring. Guard fetch this mare a drink of water before she leaves,” she spoke so kindly yet she was firm I always wondered how a pony could do that.
“Yes ma’am!”, after he spoke he teleported.
“Here you go,” in less than a minute he’s back with a cup of water.
“Thank you Princess and thank you too guard!”
“You’re very welcome”
Right after she speaks I leave to spend the rest of the day with Granny Grace.
