With the advent of new technology in Equestria (It was basically just the old stuff upgraded. You know that arcade machine in that one episode? The one that kid was playing while some younglings were singing? Well, whatever,) Twilight had found herself fascinated. She had always been one to appreciate science, and the application of such studies inevitably led her interest to world-wide phenomena, such as the Internet or, as she called it, '73h 1n73rn37z'.
Another inevitability, due to her undying respect for trashy p0p music, was that she would test her mettle in the world of tw33n p0p (because she concluded that would be the easiest). She knew about some ponies (Equestrian form of 'people') becoming internetz famous, such as Justin Bieber.
She had seen other attempts which had failed, also. Trixie's song, 'I > U', caused a great uproar in all audiences, because the entirity of the lyrics comprised the phrase 'I am greater than you' over and over again, constantly. Oddly enough, one of Equestria's natives from Appleloosa, Pig Raping Elephant, also made a move into the p0p scene. At first, she was actually quite successful, releasing her chart-topping songs 'Why You Not Love Me' and 'Getting It On With The Buffalo'. But, after some weeks, some ponies started questioning her dedication to the target demographic of tw33n p0p. Contrary to the world's common belief that she was a young buffalo, she was eventually revealed to be a pig with a long history of raping defenseless elephants.
None of these factors would deter Twilight, however. She knew that it was possible, no matter how bad the artist themselves were (case in point: Justin Bieber). She had hope, determination and luck!
She was going to become the next famous tw33n p0p star!

"Twilight, I keep telling you, nopony is going to buy into this tacky nonsense," Rarity informed Twilight. "It's just too inane and meaningless!"
"It hasn't stopped them before, has it?" Twilight countered.
"But... I really don't want my amazing design reputation to be tarnished or, Celestia forbid it, destroyed!"
"Don't worry, Rarity! This is just the first take. Your dress might not even be in the final version that I'll release!"
"Well, it had better not be."
"Rarity, even if it wasn't, ponies would just think it blends in with all the other technicolor garbage, right?"
Rarity fainted.
"Ugh." Twilight facehoofed. "I guess if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself."
Twilight started recording with the 800-bit 16MP digital camera and stepped onto the magically lit and animatically decorated stage inside Rarity's empty-but-for-the-two-ponies boutique, wearing Rarity's prized Gala dress. "Ahem. One, two, three...

"Twilight, do you really think this is a good idea?" Spike asked Twilight, who was pacing nervously around the room. "It's been three weeks since you uploaded that vide0. Why wouldn't you just check the view count as it went up?"
"Spike, this is going to be a new life for me!" she replied in ecstatic delusion. "I'm absolutely certain that there will be a lot of views; this is a tw33n p0p video, isn't it?"
"I guess..." Spike conceded. "But don't you think it would have been a better idea to have shown your friends first instead of just uploading it without telling them? You could have at least shown me!"
"But that would ruin the surprise!"
There was a knock at the door of the library. "Twilight! Hurry up!" came the voice of Rainbow Dash, who seemed to be in quite a hurry.
Twilight hurriedly opened the door, seeing all five of her best friends and allowing them inside. "I've got Firefox open on the YouTub3 homepage. The computer is in my r00m. :3"
The five guests trotted up to Twilight's room and sat down, Twilight following them. She turned around to Spike and whispered, "I can't wait! This is going to be brilliant!"
Twilight found her computer sitting on her desk, like always. She sat down, grabbing the mouse with a front hoof, somehow, and moved the cursor on the screen over to her username, clicking it. She found the link to her uploaded videos and clicked on her video.
"You called your song 'Music and Friends'?" asked Pinkie. "That's the b3st name evar!"
"Sure, thanks!" replied Twilight. "Are you ready, girls?"
"Oh, Lord. She's wearing my dress..."
Once the video had loaded fully, she clicked 'Play'.
"I love muuusic and my friends,
"they are so great, yes,
"I don't think I could ever live without them..."
"Oh my, sweet Jesus, the tone's all wrong! Not to mention the lyrics! My dressmaking career is over!"
"Uh, girl? Are you sure you uploaded the right vidjamajiggit?"
"Yeah, AJ! Do you like it?"
"Uh... yeah?"
"Yes! I knew you would! I'm so happy!"
"No, really, Twilight. Get this atrocious video off the internet," Rarity demanded.
"What? Why?"
"That dress design is owned by me. I own the copyright; therefore, take the video down."
"What? Aww... fine." Twilight moved the mouse a bit, before noticing a few titles down the right side of the screen: 'Music and Friends cover', 'Music and Friends music video', 'some retarded unicorn, lol', 'Music and Friends [ORIGINAL]', etc. "Um... Rarity, it looks like there are already lots of copies all over YouTube. It won't make a difference."
At this point, a massive hole blew open in the wall of the library and a silhouette could be seen walking in. It was short, had a round head, and seemed to walk on two legs. Twilight knew who it was.
