My name is Maya. I am a normal 10 year old girl who loves every plant that ever existed. Except for weeds. They get pretty darn annoying. After a long day of weeding my garden, I started to get ready for bed. I was completely set on sleeping in tomorrow. I walked into the bathroom and smiled at my reflection. My long blonde hair was all frizzy from a long day of work in the garden. My aqua blue eyes stared back at me as I gazed into the mirror. Before washing the dirt from my hands, I sniffed at them. I was reminded once again why I loved plants so much. The smell of the dirt as you dug through the soft soil, the sun on your back as you work, and most of all, the reward of watching the flowers you tended to grow and change, their beauty overpowering the heart of the gardener as you admire them. I sighed contently, as I washed the dirt off of my hands.
After washing up, I collapsed onto my bed. I pulled the covers up to my neck and sighed. Tomorrow my plants would be in bloom, and it would be the most beautiful sight, a gardeners greatest award. I could just smell the flowers, and see their wonderful petals of every hue.
My mom walked in the room, smiling. "See you tomorrow, kiddo." She said, kissing me on the head. I smiled and kissed her back.
"Love ya mom." I whispered, as she left the room. I cuddled my blankets and many pillows, and drifted to sleep.
I had a wonderful dream. I was skipping through my flowers, smelling them and grinning ear to ear. I hopped through the flowers, laughing, having the time of my life. I sniffed a flower and it smelled like... animals. Animals!? What a strange dream this was! I could feel whiskers wiping my face. I grunted and then moaned. I opened one eye, expecting my cat, and I saw and angry looking rabbit standing in front of me. I gasped and jumped up,because I definitely wasn't in my room. I was in an open field. There were animals surrounding me, but the one that stood out the most was a big pony with a yellow coat and pink mane.
"Hello there, little filly. I don't know where you came from, but I'm sorry about Angel bunny." The sunshine yellow pony explained softly. Whoa wait a second... A talking pony?!?
I screamed and tried to pinch myself, but to my surprise I had no fingers, only a bright yellow hoof. Had no hands and no arms. I smacked my left hoof-leg thing hard. I staggered away from the other horse, yelping in pain.
I tried to walk but tumbled, for I wasn't used to being on four feet, but on only two, I went down a steep hill, but crashed into a lake. The lake was very cold and chilled me to the bone. I got up and looked into my reflection. I had a light pink mane, and a bright yellow body. I was really small, which explained why that pony looked big, and why she had called me a filly.
I screamed once more until my throat was extremely sore. The other pony had trotted over and looked slightly concerned. "Are you okay little one?" She asked in a concerned tone.
"Ahh!" I screamed once more, then started crying. She patted my back.
"Please don't cry little Filly. Tell me whats wrong." The pony said.
"Don't touch me, creep!." I yelled. She raised her eyes, and she looked offended. "Talking Pony! Talking Pony!" The was starting to creep me out, my heart throbbed, and I felt close to death. I noticed a butterfly tattoo on her flank. This pony that seemed to represent life, was making me feel closer to death.
"Do you need help?" The yellow pony said after 5 awkward moments of me just siting there crying.
"I want to be alone!" I cried out, and with that, I stumbled away, and tried to run far from the talking pony, just trying to find something relatively normal, or maybe even an explanation to this madness.
