A girl sat in detention. Two younger boys were next to her. Her red and yellow fiery hair was stained with mud. Her eyes puffy with tears. Pools of water had appeared at the girl's feet. "Stop crying!" someone barked at the girl. The girl flinched. She covered her face. "You three have disappointed me too long! And especially you, Sunset Shimmer. You accepted friendship!" The voice screamed with anger. The boy with the orange hair spoke first.

"Demon, we wish to offer an idea," he said. His voice trembled. Fear was present. There was no doubting that. The other green haired boy shook in his seat. They both new the punishment for a foolish thought. The voice, Demon, nodded. The only visible part of him, his fiery red eyes, showed him nodding.

"Tell then, Snips and Snails. Tell me your idea." The orange haired boy, Snips trembled. He looked at his friend, Snails. Snails had backed down in his seat. His eyes were wide with fear. Snips sighed and spoke.

"Just last week, the portal had opened up again. In came two humans. Rarity and Fluttershy. It looked like the two had been fighting. Sunset says that they come from another world." He paused. "I think that we should destroy the portal. So the elements won't work there." Snips backed down as his voice trailed off.

"Very interesting. You thought long on this, I can tell. It is not foolish." The two boys sat back up, relieved that they would not be punished.

"We thank you, Demon," Snails finally spoke. The girl in the middle, Sunset Shimmer, barely looked. She knew her punishment was coming.

"We shall destroy the portal and leave Equestria in chaos. Which one of you shall do it?" The red eyes looked over the three teens. Each one was eyed carefully for strength.

"Snips." Snips jumped.

"Me? I c-can hardly lift a table!" Snips face was once again present with fear. Demon was a harsh one who did not take mercy.

"Well then, you'll be punished if you fail me!" Demon's response was fiery and his eyes glowed intensly," Now do it! You presented the idea! Did you not wonder if you were capable of doing it? There is no longer room for mistakes anymore. I want my revenge, and you three are only holding me back! I'll give you two boys a second chance. But you, Sunset Shimmer, may be out of luck."

Demon sat on her black throne. She was hidden away in her secret castle. Demon clawed the arms of the throne. Getting revenge was much harder than she thought. "Sunset Shimmer is no longer any use," Demon muttered to herself. Recalling the events from earlier made Demon grinned. No one would like a girl with scars and claws. Demon knew this herself. She also knew the boys might fail her. She would need back up. The only back up was herself. If I could only find some way to destroy Fluttershy and Rarity, I would be able to destroy Celestia Demon thought. "You will pay, Celestia!" Demon screamed, remembering what had happened almost two hundred years ago. Boiling with anger, Demon blasted, through her eyes, a nearbyy can. It dissolved into small bits slowly, from the inside out.

"Inside! That's it!" The idea had came slowly, but all the best ideas people had came slowly. The idea grew into something that would likely not fail. Not like Sunset Shimmer did. Demon levitated the ashes of the dissolved can she had angrily shot at. She flipped the ashes around and around as Demon thought on her new idea.

"I can destroy everyone from the inside. I could pose as someone else..." Demon thought about it. "No, Chrysalis did that and we all saw how that failed." Demon went over all the failed attempts to take over Equestria. The worst mistake in all of them was the Elements of Harmony. But they would never blame an innocent teen. Especially a new one. The idea was devolping.

" If I disguise myself as a new kid, one that's weak and shy, they would never suspect me. I'll make 'friends', but only to make them my minions. Maybe I'll even capture one of the Elements." The thought that had slowly came to her was becoming one of the greatest ideas she had ever known. She remembered when she was just a child, before Celestia, the ruler of Equestria, spelled her. Demon remembered her real name. Her long black hair and gray eyes. Demon was certain Celestia remembered nothing of the spell gone wrong. This thought made Demon angry again, for she threw a magic ball at the door. The door fell over. Demon lifted it back into place. By capturing one of the elements, the rest would be useless. She would win. Celestia would pay. Equestria would pay. The plan was perfect.

Sunset Shimmer cowered over herself. Her new self. Her punishment was dealt to her. Demon gave her claws. She gave her scars. Batty wings. Was it to remind her of what evil she did? Sunset Shimmer regreted it greatly. Now she was half of it. She had looked into a mirror earlier, only to make it much worst for herself. Her eyes had changed. The white part had changed to black. On one of the eyes. She felt unwanted. This must have been Demon's intention. Sunset Shimmer was half demon. But she knew she would have to adjust. For only she knew about the plan. She had to save Equestria.
