After the banishment of Nightmare Moon, ponies around Equestria began to also question the loyalty of Celestia to her country. Ideas began to spread of rebellion, and it didn't take long for a group of radical ponies to take form. Known as the Revolutionary Equestian Fighters, or the REF, they are fighting for the freedom of Equestria. But many ponies know Celestia has done no wrong, so they stand against the REF. The different stances tore Equestria in half. This began the Celestial War, an all out civil war of the Rebels vs. the Royal Guard.
