Chapter 1 - The fight

Chapter One - The Fight

Perspective: Commander Ferrum Miles

I run down the hallway with a squad of marines as the sound of gun fire and plasma fire roars behind us, we're making our way to the bridge to defend the Admiral, he needs to escape if we are going to win this war. I see a squad of Covenant at the front of the door. Two elites, five grunts, and four jackals are trying to break down the door. One of the elites is clad in golden commander armor, while the other is in red armor. They both stand over two and a half meters in height and are well built. The grunts are all in their standard orange armor, but one is in green armor, meaning that the grunt is a cannon folder. I raise my MA37 Assault Rifle and take aim, firing seven rounds at the squad, killing three grunts and the red elite. The remainder of the squad begins to open fire at us, one of the marines behind me throws a bubble shield down, saving us from the spray of plasma rounds. The cannon folder grunt is placing down his turret, I have to move quickly or this grunt is going to tear us to bits, and I refuse to be killed by a grunt. I take aim again and fire the rest of my clip at them, which kills all but the commander elite. He draws his energy sword and begins to charge at us. When he reaches the first marine he cuts off the marine's arm, he screams in pain as his arm sprays out blood all across the hallway of the ship. I quickly tackle the elite to the ground and grab his arm. He tries to fight but I hold him down, I pull with all of my might and rip the elite's arm out of its socket, the elite screams and pain and rolls around on the ground. I kick it in the face, sending blood and teeth all over the ground. I kick the elite in the crotch, eliciting another scream of pain. I draw my knife and get in front of his face. Then I ram the knife into the elite's neck. His legs kick upwards and his body twitches and spasms and he gurgles and coughs up blood. The alien's blue blood sprays onto my hand and the floor. I watch the life fade from the elite's eyes, sending the bastard's soul to the void. I look to see the marine lying down against the wall, holding his arm with tears in his eyes. He's moving around in pain and his comrades are trying to do anything to help the poor soul. I walk over to him and get down next to him.

"Don't worry I can patch you up." I say as a reach for my medical bag

"No, There's *cough* not enough time, *cough* you have to get to the Admiral, win this war and tell my family I love them." He says as he bleeds out

I'm angry beyond believe, these Covenant bastards have killed to many good men and women. Every since this war began, our colonies began to fall, one by one. Billions of lives have been lost because of these god damn aliens and I refuse to give up until every single god damn one of them is dead. I stand up and look down at the marine.

"Requiesce in pace, miles." I say as I salute him

"Come on people, we need to get to the admiral and make sure that he gets off this ship safely." I say as I walk towards the door and open it with my ID card.

We walk into the bridge and we can see Harvest, Covenant and UNSC ships are dog fighting while Covenant Battle Cruisers and UNSC Frigates are firing at one another relentlessly, I see Covenant boarding ships heading for the other frigates, and seven boarding ships right towards us. From the looks of the fight, we have the advantage but I know this is only the first wave, there will be more.

"Everyone get ready, we have Covenant boarding parties coming our way, set up the defenses while I get the Admiral to his escape pod!"

"Yes Sir!" They respond as I run to the Control Room

I reach the door and unlock it, heading right inside. I look to see the Admiral standing there looking out at the fighting, he's an older man, most likely in his fifties standing around five foot seven or eight, somewhere around there. His age is shown by the wrinkles of his skin and his very grey, almost white hair. He's in his Uniform, a white with gold commanding officer uniform. He is decorated with different medals, showing his military accomplishment.

"Admiral Hood." I say as I salute him

"Good to see you Commander Miles, but I wish it were under better circumstances."

"Likewise sir, Covenant forces are on their way to the ship, I'm here to escort you to your escape pod."

"Tell me Commander, What makes you fight, what keeps you going?" He asks suddenly as he turns to me, staring into my eyes

"Sir? What do you mean by that?"

"What keeps you going during this war? So many have been lost, what keeps you going?" he says as he walks towards me

I take a moment to think about what he just said. This war has always been a very touching thing to me, and it means almost everything to ensure humanity's survival. The Covenant have posed a threat to all of humanity since 2525, it's been about six years since they attacked Harvest, and Harvest is on its knees

"I refuse to let these bastards gain anymore ground than they already have, they want to wipe out the human race and its my job to defend our people, we are Spartans, we fight for the good of all humanity."

He pauses for a moment and looks up at me, I can see he is trying to look into my eyes but I have my helmet on, but I can still feel as if he is looking into my soul. He smiles and walks to the door to the life boats.

"Well what are we waiting for? Let's get going already." He says as he opens the door

"Sorry sir, but I can't leave just yet. I still have a job to do here and that job is to defend this ship and make sure you get out of here alive, go on without us, we'll be fine." I take off my helmet and smile at him, he returns the smile.

"Get off this ship alive you hear? You're to good of a Commander for us to lose." He says

"Will do sir." I say as he walks to the life pod. He hits the control panel and tries to open the door.

"ACCESS DENIED" says a robotic voice

"What the hell?" I say as I walk up to the control panel, I pull out my military ID card and swipe it

"ACCESS DENIED" it says again

"Maybe it needs to be reset?" I ask as I walk around it.

"I'll work on getting this thing reset, we don't have a long time before-

KRA BOOM

"Commander, Covenant boarding parties entering the bridge, we could use some help down here!" yells one of the marines from the door way.

"Admiral, get that life pod working, we'll hold them off!" I yell

"Will do, stay alive out there!" He yells back

I run back into the bridge to see the fighting before me. Four boarding ships have attached to the glass and are pouring out Covenant forces. I also see that more marines have came to aid us in the fight.

The bridge is roaring with gunfire and plasma fire. The marines have set up two turrets on the corners of the platform leading to the control room. We are mowing them down but they just keep coming, they are slowly inching closer towards us, so I raise my Assault rifle and take aim at the nearest group of Covenant forces. The squad consists of two elites, both of which are wearing standard red armor, and five grunts which are in armor ranging from red to orange. I fire ten rounds at the group, killing three grunts and an elite. They take aim at me and begin to unleash a hail of rounds at me, I feel the heat of several plasma rounds hit my shield, so I dodge to the left and get behind cover. They have me pinned pretty good right now, so I pull out a frag grenade and throw it into the direction of the group. The grenade lands right under the elite and they try to run.

BOOM

That grenade kills the rest of the squad as well as some more that got to close to the grenade. I get up and run towards a group of marines that are manning the turret, I roll to cover beside them and turn to look at the marine sergeant.

"How are you all holding up?" I yell in the fray of gunfire and plasma fire to the marine.

"We're nearly out of ammo, the marine that was bringing our ammo was killed right by the front of the bridge, we need to get that ammo or we're fucked." He yells back as he fires his weapon at an elite, killing it.

"I can get you your ammo Sergeant, hold this turret, we can't lose this advantage or we're fucked." I say firing a round into a jackal's head.

He nods to me, so I get up and begin to run where the marine's body is. A grunt plasma cannon is firing way to close to comfort towards me, but I ignore it and press towards the marine. The plasma cannon then runs out of ammo so I'm in the clear.

Or so I thought.

Three elites suddenly jump in front of me, one in blue armor, one in red, and one in gold commander armor. They all have their energy swords drawn, while the gold elite has two energy swords instead of one. They get into a fighting stance and start to swing their swords mockingly. I spray at them while running, dropping the shield of the red elite and gold elite while killing the blue. They begin to charge at me so I dodge to the right and towards the fallen elite. I pick up his energy sword and turn to the elites. They both begin to charge at me and I do the same. I decapitate the red elite and watch as the blue alien blood splatters across the floor.

"RAAR!!"

I look back to see the commander elite bringing down his swords at me. I quickly raise my sword and block them both. Now, we are fighting for dominance in the fight. He may have a height advantage but I am stronger than him and also out skill him. I then kick him in the leg, causing him to fall to the ground. He quickly swings his swords towards my face, just missing by a few centimeters. I try to stab him in the chest but he rolls and kicks my leg, causing me to stagger. He uses this time to get back up and try to stab me, but I block his attack. He charges at me again, swinging like a wild animal, just to have me block every one of his attacks. I decide that I have had enough of this. I chop of his arm and he screams in pain, dropping his sword to grab his decapitated arm. He stares at me in horror after the realization of what he just did, so I bring down my sword and decapitate him just like the other elite and meet similar results, blood pooling onto the floor.

I reach the fallen marine and grab the ammo, I also grab a few rounds for my assault rifle while I'm here and take off running back towards the marines mounting the turret. I see a squad of grunts ahead of me, so I grab my pistol and fire five shots at them, killing three and injuring two. I raise my energy sword and slice at the remainder of the grunts, killing all of them. After fifteen minutes of fighting various enemies, I finally make it back to the marines.

*click* *click*

Good, I made it back just in time, they ran out of ammo. "Hurry up and refill this turret, we can't afford to lose this position" I yell to the marines around us, "Keep these Covenant bastards from reaching the Admiral at all cost!" I equip my assault rifle and take aim at the Covenant before us, their numbers have nearly tripled in size since I left, and they are getting a little to close for comfort. I fire an entire clip at the Covenant forces, killing four elites, seventeen grunts, and five jackals. That cut their numbers down a decent bit, but I know it won't be enough because I see two my boarding parties heading directly for us.

We end up finishing all of the forces on the bridge before the two additional boarding parties arrive, so I take this time to replenish my ammo and to radio in on the Admiral to check his progress.

"Admiral, are you close to prepping that pod for launch yet?" I say over the com

"Miles, this will take me quiet a bit, can you hold them off for another twenty minutes?" He asks

"Not a problem, hurry, I don't know what's coming on those boarding parties, but I'm sure nothing good."

"Will do, Admiral out."

I turn to the surviving marines, our numbers have been cut in half because of these bastards. I see some marines dragging the bodies of the wounded or dead to safety. While others are replenishing their ammo, or reading for the next wave.

"Marines, we need to hold this bridge for just a little bit longer, so everyone get some ammo for these turrets as well as yourselves, this fight isn't over till the fat lady starts singing!" I yell to them

"OH - RAH!" They yell and response and begin to ready for the fight.

Those two boarding parties are less than five hundred meters away and are closing fast, I already know this fight is going to be hairy because of the size of these boarding ships, they're nearly twice the size of the other ones.

They finally latch onto the glass and break it down, causing the air to rush out and the glass to be replaced with the shield.

"Alright marines, here we go! Fight!" I yell

The first wave of Covenant forces jump out of the ship and are immediately mowed down by gunfire. The survivors quickly get behind cover and begin to fire at us. I quickly get behind cover to avoid a spray of a plasma rifle from a nearby elite. He continues to fire at my cover until his plasma rifle needs to cool down, I take this time to jump up from the cover and spray my assault rifle at him, ripping his body to shreds. Blue blood and flesh splattered Across the walls and floor. I look back to see that the boarding ship has dropped two hunters...

"..."

"SON OF A BITCH!"

BOOM

Two of their plasma cannon rounds explode beside me, causing me to fly back around ten meters and hit the wall. Hard. I grunt and get up to face the two of them, They are both charging up their Plasma Cannons once again so I quickly dodge behind a large supply create.

BOOM

The rounds explode, sending the create flying back a little, but keeping me behind cover. I decide that I'm going to flank these two, so I can get their weak spots. I begin to move towards them at a very high speed, they're looking around trying to see where my body is. While they are distracted, I toss a grenade over to them and dodge away from it. Perfect. I quickly make my way to the edge of the supply crate to see the two hunters charge for where I formally was. I run out from behind cover and spray them in their back weak spots, killing them. I look at my handiwork before turning back to the marines and watch them fight. They are doing well enough holding them back but they still are slowly working their way closer and closer.

"Commander, I got the pod working, get up here quickly so we can get out of here." The Admiral says through the com

"Negative Admiral, my orders were to get you out of here, and I'm not leaving these marines behind."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, completely. Go Admiral, we'll hold them off."

"Vale usque nos obvium iterum, meum amice." he says before shutting of the com

I turn back to the marines and begin make my way up to the marines, but am stopped by a marine yelling at me.

"COMMANDER WATCH OUT!" Yells the marine, I turn back to see two additional hunter finishing charging up their plasma cannons and firing.

BOOM

A sharp pain erupts from my side and causes me to fall over and a bright, white light appears, blinding me for a moment. I feel my eyes become heavy, I need to sleep. I think my fight is finally over, I finally get to rest.

Hello everyone, this is my very first fanfiction, I was inspired to create this after reading Man of War, totally badass story by the way, you should read it and Halo because Halo was my childhood game. Anyway I used a mixture of Tallestbrony's and my writing style for this fanfiction. Note that I will not copy the content of Man of War, I'm only going to make the story completely on my own without any planning! I hate planed writing -.-, Any who, here's the first chapter.

Chapter 2 - The landing

Chapter Two - The Landing

Perspective: Miles

I open my eyes to find that I'm in some sort of forest. The trees are darker than most trees and the forest is giving off an eerie feeling to it. I want to leave here. Now. I try to get up but am greeted with the sharp pain from before.

"Oh yeah, forgot about that."

I look behind me to see that the supply crate is behind me, it has falling on it's side and ammo has fallen out of it. I hear something moving in the bush, whatever it is, its big and something tells me that this thing is going to be a problem. I grab my pistol and take aim at the bush. Its coming out fast, so I ready myself to take aim.

*hop* *hop*

Its a bunny. Its a god damn bunny. How in the hell does a bunny make that much movement in a fucking bush?! I sigh and lower my pistol and so it begins to hope off back into the bush. I can already tell that today is going to be a long day. I need to get something to cover that wound. Maybe there are some medical supplies in the crate. I craw my way inside the crate. Finding it a bit warmer than outside, but I press on.

After about ten minutes of searching, taking longer than normally due to crawling, I finally find some medical supplies. I find something to cover the wound as well as a med pack. After applying the med pack my health rises back to yellow on my visor and I can stand. I'm limping, so I must have hit my leg during the crash. Whatever, I'll deal with that later.

I walk/limp out of the crate and take a look around, nothing has changed. I take this moment to look around the area. The trees are sporting different dark colors, blues, greens and some blacks. There are vines growing everywhere and patches of plant life everywhere. The air around here feels....untouched. Its like this place has never seen any pollution. Ever. Which feels very strange because most of the forests back on Harvest are covered with pollution. I then come to a realization. I'm not on Harvest....

"WHERE THE FUCK AM I?!" I yell

*growl*

Oh that can't be good, I turn to the bush to my right and see a large wolf like creature emerge from it, the strange thing is that its made of wood. It eyes are a glowing a energized green. It is about two meters long and stands around half a meter. It's wooden body parts are covered in different symbols and marks. I raise my pistol and take aim at it's head, I bet that's where the control to the AI is. I slowly back up against the crate as the wooden wolf moves towards me. It stops and looks at me for a moment, inspecting me to see which way I will try to attack.

"AROOOOOOOOOOO!" it howls into the forest

Seven more of the wooden wolves appear from the forest, and begin to circle around me. I know this tactic, this is how wolves kill bigger prey, they try to distract it. I decide to go along with their little game and make them think that I have turned my full attention to the biggest one. I wait for one to make its move and try to jump on my back.

"RAAAAH"

KER - PUNCH

I turned around just in time to prevent the attacking wolf from biting into me. The punch sends the wolf flying back into a tree, shattering the wolf to bits. One of the wolfs to my left begins to charge at me, so I aim my pistol up and get ready to fire.

PAT PAT PAT

I fire three rounds into it's head, dropping it. They all begin to lunge at me so I quickly drop to the ground and dodge their attack. I grab the energy sword I looted from one of the elites and turn it on. This gets me confused stares from the wooden wolfs, but they quickly ignore it and lunge at me again.

CRUNCH

I cut into four of them and block all of their attacks. The wolves that were hit have fallen to pieces and the last one starts to back away. I begin to walk towards it but am stopped when the fallen wolves' parts begin to bounce around. They then begin to gather into one big pile, forming up into something big. I take a fighting stances and ready for their or its attack. It has now formed into one massive wolf, it stands nearly seven times what the one wolf did before and it stares down at me with it's big green eyes.

"OH SON OF A BITCH!"

KER - PUNCH

I'm sent flying ten meters, hitting the ground hard. I look back up to see the beast charging at me again, I take a grenade out and throw it under the beast. It stops to look at the grenade, sniffing it.

KRA - BOOM

The blast sends me flying back into another tree, and the beast into tiny bits once again. I let out a sigh of relief and walk over to the crate. I see the wolf from earlier there, growling at me. I simply raise my pistol and fire five rounds into it's head, dropping it. Finally, I killed all of those motherfuckers

"AROOOOOOOOOOO!"

Are you fucking kidding me? I look back to see that they have all reformed into individual wolfs and begin to circle around me again. How the fuck are these things still alive?! I used a fucking frag grenade, that fucking kills hunters and not these assholes?!

"DIE YOU GOD DAMNED PIECES OF SHIT!" I yell at them

I tackle the nearest wolf and fire the rest of the pistol's clip into it's head. I am so god damn done with these motherfucking wolves. A wolf jumps at me from behind and I try to block it, but the wolf is stopped by a rope being rapped around it's stomach and dragged to the ground.

"GET OUTTA HERE YA GOSH DARN WOLVES!" I female voice with a southern accent yells from the bushes.

I look for who caught the wolf and see a... horse. She's standing there with a rope in her mouth dragging the wolf towards her, the rest of the wolves begin to run off as more five more horses run out from the bushes. She pulls the wolf up close to her and looks it dead in the eyes.

"Don't you ever attack another pony, you hear me?"

The wolf nods and she let's it go, making the wolf run off with it's tail between it's legs. The rest of the horses.. or ponies gather around to inspect me, and I do the same. The pony that saved me has a orange coat with a cowboy hat on her head as well as a blond mane and tail, she has bright green eyes that seem... earthly. She also has three apples tattooed to her flank. The two to my left are ponies with wings, one of which is watching me very closely with a large smile on her face, she has a yellow coat with a pink mane, pink eyes and tail and three pink butterflies on her flank. The other one is a cyan blue with a rainbow mane and tail, she also has red or magenta eye color, that is sick as fuck. She seems to be flying around really impatiently, acting like she has to be somewhere and is not interested, but I've seen her take a few looks at me and the two to my right both have horns coming out of their heads. Unicorn ponies? The unicorn pony on the right has a purple mane with a pink stripe going through it, what I also notice is that she also has a pair of wings. Maybe a hybrid between a unicorn pony and a winged pony? The other has white coat and with a purple mane and tail and blue eyes, she has her mane well styled and seems to be trying to stay away from anything dirty around her. The Purple Unicorn hybrid pony approaches me, she seems a bit nervous but mostly curious and excited.

"What are you?" She asks as she begins to reach for my armor. That's when I notice that the bandage for my side wound has been ripped off by a nearby tree branch and blood begins to pool everywhere. I feel my consciousness fading. I think it's time to sleep again.

"....."

"...."

"..."

Perspective: Twilight Sparkle
One hour earlier

I make my way to the door of the library, with my saddle bags on my hips, full of food for the picnic. I take this moment to make sure I have everything.

"Spike, I'm going out for a picnic with the girls at Fluttershy's, Make sure you keep an eye on the library for me." I call out to him

"Will do, later Twi." He says as he walks down the stairway, giving me a mock solute. I laugh a little at his antics and nod my head as I walk out the door.

Its a nice day in Ponyville, the sun is shinning and not a single cloud to be seen in the sky, Rainbow must have been working hard today. Ponies go around town doing their business, buying groceries, eating at restaurants, foals playing, etc. The trees are bright green, and the atmosphere is just so alive. I love these days, I'm glad that Princess Celestia let me stay here rather than some palace in Canterlot. While Canterlot may be my home, I would have to leave my friends behind, something I'm not doing. I begin walking towards the Everfree and take a right on the path to Fluttershy's house. I make my way to the door and give a knock, to which Applejack answers it.

"Hey Sugarcube, ya'll ready for the picnic?"

"Yep, I'm all ready to go, I've been waiting for my schedule to clear up so I can spend time with you girls, we haven't been able to talk much after I became Princess."

"Ah know Twi, come on in, we're just about to leave."

I walk inside to see all of the girls chatting with each other. Fluttershy is talking with Rarity, Rainbow is reading a Daring Doo book and Pinkie, well, she's being Pinkie because she went from side of the room to the other in less than a millisecond.

"Alright girls, Twi's here, let's start heading out for the lake."

So, we're going to the lake for the picnic today, I honestly thought that we were going to the park, but the lake's fine. The girls gather their things and begin to head for the door. We make it outside and the sun is blaring down us, I can see why we would go to the lake for the picnic now.

After a good few minutes of walking, we finally make it to the lake. Ponies are out having fun in the water or relaxing in the shade. The sky doesn't have a single cloud in it and the sun is reflecting off the water, giving a very peaceful summer feeling. The trees of the nearby Everfree and the trees in the park are moving softly in the summer breeze. I never get tired of seeing this, it gives me one more reason to stay in Ponyville with my friends.

We begin to chat about our day while Applejack, Rainbow Dash, and Pinkie play in the water, wrestling as of now. Rainbow Dash just tackled Applejack underwater and Pinkie goes in to knock Applejack off. I look back to Rarity and Fluttershy to see that they are looking up into the sky, I look up as well to see what got their attention.

KRA BOOM

A massive ball of fire has slammed into the Everfree. Causing ponies in the surrounding area to panic, they quickly run from the area, grabbing their foals, but some are to shocked to even move.

"Girls, we need to go. Now!" I yell to them

This breaks them of their shock and they nod to me. We quickly start running into the Everfree where the fireball hit. We are slowed down by the natural growth of the Everfree, tree branches, bushes and among other things are blocking our way, so we have to take alternate routes, taking around thirty minutes. We decide to take a break, exhausted from running non stop.

"What do you think that was Twi?" Applejack asks

"Maybe a meteor, but we need to make sure that a fire hasn't started."

"Well maybe it's a--"

Just then, we hear the sound of a stallion screaming and then more explosions.

"Somepony's in trouble!" Rainbow yells and starts to fly toward the scream.

We take this as our time to get moving, we all start sprinting towards the sounds of the screams and explosions. When we are about a hundred yards away, we make out two figures. One is a massive timberwolf, most likely a pack that was destroyed and reformed. And the other a massive,,,metal thing. It stands on two legs and has two arms. It has two devices in its hand, one is a metal mechanism, and the other looks like an oddly shaped sword made of... energy? Whatever they are, it must be using them to defend itself.

KRA - BOOM

A explosion sends the massive timberwolf into peices, it looks relieved to see that their is only a single wolf left. He walks toward the lone timberwolf and raises his arm with the metal thing and pulls a trigger.

PAT PAT PAT PAT PAT

Five small explosions come from the metal machine and the timberwolf's head is in pieces. I didn't even see anything come out of that thing! What the heck was that?! It must not know that the timberwolves reform themselves if they are destroyed because its attention is completely away from the pile of rumbling timberwolf parts.

"AROOOOOOOOOOO!"

Seven timberwolves have reformed, looking very angry at the metal thing. The metal thing turns back towards the timberwolves. The metal thing yells at the timberwolves, but I can't make it if it said anything at all. It lunges towards the nearest timberwolf, firing its device into its head. Applejack is ahead of us, with a rope in her mouth ready to catch a timberwolf. I look to see that a timberwolf has begun to lunge at the metal thing, but is caught by Applejack's rope. We begin to run out towards the rest of the timberwolves, causing them to scatter. Applejack pulls the timberwolf she caught towards her and stares it directly in the eyes.

"Don't you ever attack another pony, you hear me?" She says, getting the timberwolf to nod to her and run off. With it's tails between it's legs.

We turn back and gather around the metal thing that is now lying on the ground. It looks to be inspecting us as we inspect it. It stands at around 7 or 8 feet tall, it has various different metal plating going all along it's body, it has a knife by it's waist and both of it's weapons are now lying on the ground.

"What are you?" I ask as I reach towards the metal plating

"..."

I feel that I have stepped in a liquid. I look down to see that it's blood, leaking from the metal thing, or rather the creature wearing the metal plating. It then starts to fall back

THUD

It hits the ground, I intermediately begin to search for a pulse within the plating. I find one. Weak but still going.

"Girls, we need to get this thing to the hospital now, it's losing blood."

They nod and I raise it with my magic, and we take off back towards Ponyville. I hope this thing is ok.

Chapter 3 - Introductions

Chapter Three - Introductions

Perceptive: Miles

I open my eyes to find that I am in a hospital room of some sort. The room's walls are painted blue, but there is a section that looks to be brownish on the bottom. The room looks to be about ten meters long and fifteen wide with two windows to on the left side of the room. Looking out one of the window, I see that night has fallen across the land, and two beds have been moved to be able to support my entire body, I guess the population here isn't very tall.

That's when I notice two things.

The ponies that saved me from those wooden wolves are now sleeping to my right in hospital chairs and that this population is not human. I try to get up, but find that the pain in my side has returned with a vengeance. I look at the wound, it's been stitched up fairly well and is now covered with bandages. At least they didn't kill me while I was unconscious. I sit up with my back against the wall, that way I don't have to have the full pressure of my armor on me.

*yawn*

Oh shit. I look over to see that the purple hybrid pony has woken because of my fidgeting. Her eyes widen when she sees me sitting up, she looks somewhat relieved to see that I'm up. She stands up and begins to walk towards me.

"Hey, I'm not going to hurt you. What's your name?"

"..."

"Can you speak?"

"..."

"AHH!" I yell as I jump back, but this leads me to falling off of the beds and hitting my wound. I groan in pain as I lay there, god dammit that hurt. My yelling has caused the other ponies to awaken and they have all began to surround me. I have to get out of here, I don't know if these ponies are hostile or not. They could be working with the Covenant. I use the wall to get myself on my feet, and I tower of them.

"We're not gonna hurt ya'll, alright?" says the Cowpony

I begin to make a limp run towards the window, but am grabbed by an unknown force, and I'm placed back onto the beds. God dammit that's cheating! I see that the an energy field has locked my arms and legs to the bed frames. And the energy seems to be coming from the hybrid pony's horn. I have to get out of here, these ponies have some really freaky abilities and I don't want to find out what other tricks they can pull. They stand there awkwardly not knowing what to do with me, but the hybrid pony steps forward and begins to speak.

"My name is Princess Twilight Sparkle, and these are my friends, Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, and Rarity." She points to each of them, this could be of some value to me.

Really? I had to run into a Princess? Not a lower government official or a civilian? If she's a Princess, that means there must be an Elite Military Unit here guarding this place. I'm not going to escape, so I might as well just give up fighting. At least I didn't attack any of them.

"My name is Commander Ferrum Miles of the United Nations Space Core and I am the leader of the Spartan Twos." I say to them. They look surprised that I can actually speak, and I don't blame them, I was surprised that they could speak as well, being ponies and all.

"Well Commander, I don't mean to be rude, but what exactly are you?" Twilight asks

"I am human, but I am a lot bigger and stronger than most, due to being trained for war since age six."

"Age six?! How old are you now?!" asks Rarity

"Well, currently I am twenty one and have been in military service ever since I finished training."

"You're a soldier?" asks Rainbow Dash

"Yes, the leader of the Spartans on Harvest. My Spartans and I are tasked with defending the people of Harvest from the Covenant."

"The Covenant?" asks Twilight "Who are they?"

"They are a cruel and evil alien religious military, who's goal is to wipe out our species from the face of the Universe. We have been locked in a six year war with them on Harvest and they have killed millions." I say bitterly. I hate the Covenant and just talking about them sends cooled, dark strife into my heart. This makes them gasp in horror, they look on the verge of tears. What the hell?

"Millions?..."

"Millions. They slaughtered innocent men, women, and children without mercy. They have burnt cities to the ground and have ruined Harvest. I have lost many of my friends from the fighting. They don't feel mercy, nor regret, they just kill and move on without a second thought."

"But, why would anypony do that?" asks Fluttershy on the verge of tears

"They believe that we stand in the way of their 'Great Journey', their goal isn't just to wipe out humanity, they want to wipe out ALL life in the galaxy, including themselves. They think that they will become gods by killing everything." I say to them. "But enough of that, I have some questions of my own. Where am I and what exactly are you?"

"What do you mean by that?" asks Twilight

"Like what are you, I know that Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash are pegasi and Rarity's a Unicorn, but what exactly are you, Applejack, and Pinkie Pie?"

"Well, Applejack and Pinkie Pie are Earth ponies and I am a cross between all three races because of my ascension to Princess, I am an Alicorn."

"Wait, did you say Earth ponies?" I ask

"Yes, why?"

"What planet am I on?"

"YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT PLANET YOU'RE ON?!" They scream to me

"Hey! Before I landed here, I was on a UNSC frigate in the orbit of Harvest! Where exactly am I?!"

"EVERYPONY PLEASE!" A voice yells from the doorway, getting our attention. Standing in the door way is a white coated Earth pony, she has a medical cross on her flank, she must be a nurse here.

"We have patients here that need rest, could you please not yell?" She asks somewhat irritated

"Yes, sorry Nurse Redheart." Twilight says. Redheart nods and leaves the room, closing the door behind her. We sit there quietly for a few moments, awkwardly. But I decide that I'm going to break the silence, I have questions that need to be answered.

"What planet am I on?"

"You're on Earth." says Rainbow Dash bluntly

"No....That's impossible, Earth is the capital home world of humanity...." There's no way that this is Earth, last I checked, talking ponies didn't live here and run a monarchy. It doesn't make any sense! How could this be Earth? There are no remnants of any human activity. At all! The air here doesn't seem to have any pollution what so ever, it seems untouched. Earth had tons of air pollution going through every part of the planet. Sure the government was taking action to purify the air, but the air was still very polluted. Wait a minute...

"What is the year?"

"22531 as of now, why?"

"22531?!" I whisper/ yell "That's twenty thousand years into the future! There is no way that that is right! What calendar do you go by?!"

"Miles, calm down! We go by the Celestial Calendar." Twilight says

Everything I know is gone, all of my spartans, the admiral, the marines, Possibly even all of humanity. Am I the last one left? Did we win the war? Did humans have to leave Earth? Did the Covenant wipe us out? All of the questions are running through my head and I guess the others have noticed my silence.

"Miles?" asks Twilight

"Everything is gone, everything I have ever known is gone, Earth is gone, and the other colonies may be as well." I say on the verge of tears.

The others look like they're going to start crying again. They all get up and begin to walk towards me, what are they doing? I guess Twilight has released my restraints because the purple energy has dissipated. Then they all start to climb onto me and hug me once again, the armor makes it kind of awkward, but they're actually somewhat comforting towards this whole situation. That's when I get an idea.

"Guys, can you get off for a second? I want to take my helmet off." They look a bit surprised, but comply non the less. I reach bring my hands to the release switches on the back of the helmet and flip them. Allowing me to finally get the helmet off of my head. My blond hair falls down in front of my eyes, I really should have gotten that haircut. I move my hair from my eyes and look towards them. They stare at me in awe, and I can't blame them, I was in awe when I saw them for the first time.

"Miles, your eyes, why are the glowing green?"

I chuckle a little bit at that, "I have a rare condition in which my eyes glow, it happens because I was born with a few different elements in my eyes and they react with each other to produce the glow. It's actually comes at an advantage because it helps me see in the dark and it looks cool." I say to them

"Well as fun as this is, I would like to get up now." I say

"But Miles, you have stitches, you need to rest!" says Fluttershy

"Well, I have a little trick to deal with that." I say with a grin. I reach into the pouch that is on the back side of my armor. Finding what I'm looking for, I pull it out and hold it in my hand. I only save this stuff for emergencies, but right now I don't feel like being stuck in a hospital.

"Miles, what's that?"

"It's called bio foam, it is a very strong healing tool. Can basically heal any wound just like that." I say as I get ready to inject it.

When it the bio foam goes in, it immediately goes to the wound on my side and my leg. It stings a little bit, but it's working. The stitches begin to shoot out of my body and onto the floor. Almost completely healing the wound, now only a bit of red remains on my side.

"AH, that feels much better." I say as a stand up. They look at me with disbelief as I begin to stretch and move around, I love doing this to people.

"Miles, that's incredible." says Twilight looking up at me in awe, she must have a ton of questions for me, because she seems like the one to be into science and knowledge.

"Well, shall we leave then?" I ask Twilight

"Uh, sure I guess."

We begin to walk out of the room and down the hallway, with them leading the way. The staff and random ponies stare up at me in awe or fear, sometimes a little of both. I merely wave and they slowly wave back, somethings never change, not matter what race it is. We make it to the front lobby where we find nurse Redheart working. Twilight signs us out and we begin to head outside.

When I get outside, a cold breeze meets my face, I take this moment to take in my surroundings. From the hospital, houses are lined up side by side from one another, a massive building stands in the middle of the town, maybe that's a town hall? The lights of most of the houses are darkened, but some have their lights on. But what really captures my attention is the sky above me. Millions of stars shine brightly above me, but the moon shines even brighter. I could literally spend hours looking at this, never in my life have I ever seen something as beautiful as this sky, it almost seems unnatural. The others look to me and see that I am starring.

"What Miles? Never seen the night sky before?" asks Twilight jokingly

"This is the most beautiful night sky I have ever seen in my entire life." I say in awe.

"Well, you can thank Princess Luna for that." she says

Princess Luna? So there are more princesses here besides Twilight? And what does she mean by thank her for it?

"What do you mean by that?"

"What?"

"Thank Princess Luna for the night sky."

"Well, she is the Princess of the night. She's the one who raises the moon and arranges the stars in the sky."

"WAIT WHAT?!" I yell at them, startling them. "You mean to tell me that a pony can control the rise and fall of the moon and stars?!"

"Well how else are the sun and moon going to rise?"

"By the Earth's rotation on its axis and the revolution of the moon around the Earth!"

"OH! Miles, you're thinking about the time before the axis stopped moving, now Princess Celestia and Princess Luna control the rise and setting of the sun and moon. They also block out radiation coming from Celestia's sun by keeping the earth spinning." Twilight explains.

Ok, these ponies are over powered. They can spin the Earth and raise and lower both the sun and moon with their magic?! Note to self: Don't fuck with the Princesses. As we continue to walk, we make a little bit of small talk. Rainbow Dash is apparently is the fastest flyer in their nation. That is quite the feat. Fluttershy is apparently a very huge animal lover and she takes care of woodland creatures that wonder out of the Everfree. Considering the timberwolves, if she can take care of whatever else comes out of the forest. She is really strong, but what's weird is that she is very timid and shy. Rarity is a fashion designer and has made dresses for all of them, including Princess Celestia and Luna at one point, pretty impressive if you ask me. Pinkie Pie apparently is a huge party pony, because she is now apparently throwing me a 'Welcome to Ponyville, sorry about you crashing into the Everfree and finding out you've lost everything' party. The name she gives makes me laugh even thought it reminds me of everything I lost. Applejack works on her family's farm called Sweet Apple Acres. She says she has been 'bucking' apple trees ever since she was a filly, it's something she's pretty proud of I guess. And lastly is Twilight, apart from being a Princess she really likes to read and study magic. Called it. She says she wants to talk about human technology and science, which I gladly accept for a later date, being a huge knowledge fan myself. Over all these ponies are really nice, almost to nice, but I'm not complaining.

When we reach the center of town, the rest of the girls save for Twilight split up in different directions, heading to their respective homes. After saying our goodbyes, it's just me and Twilight.

"So, where am I going to be staying?" I ask

"Well, you can stay at the library with me and Spike if you want."

"Who's Spike?"

"Spike is my number one assistant, he's a dragon that I have raised ever since hatching, he's a very nice guy and I think he would really like to meet you."

"DRAGON?!" I yell

"Miles, calm down! He's not like the dragons you're probably thinking of, he's only a baby and he wouldn't hurt anyone." she explains.

*gulp*"Okay." I reply

We then begin to walk towards this library. She says she's lived in it ever since she moved to Ponyville from the capital city of Canterlot. After a few minutes of walking and idle chat we finally make it. The library itself has been carved into a tree, with various windows and other nick knacks showing from the outside of it. It stands at around three stories high and has a single balcony where a telescope currently sits, aiming at the sky. She levitates out a key and unlocks the door. We walk in and turn on the lights. The main room has bookshelves stacked around three meters high, that's a hell of a lot of books. There is also a stairway leading up to where the bedrooms must be and in the middle of the room, a small purple and green dragon is sleeping softly.

"Ugh, Spike you know you can't be sleeping out here."

She levitates him up into the air and begins to carry him up the stairs. He mumbles a little bit, but stays asleep. Good thing too, I'm still not sure about that dragon.

"Are you coming are not?" asks Twilight

I simply nod to her and follow up the stairs, the weight of my armor and myself makes the wooden stairs below me creak and groan. We make it to her bedroom and I take a look around. Her bed is at the right side of the room, towards the balcony and right beside her bed is a tiny pet bed, I guess that's where Spike sleeps. Twilight places Spike down into the bed and she turns to me.

"I have a few cots downstairs, you can sleep on those if you want."

"Thank you, Twilight." I say, we then head back downstairs. She pulls the two cots from out of the closet, and I help her set them up, once done setting them up. She turns back to me.

"Well, if you don't mind, I want to get some rest, I've had a long day today." She chuckles lightly

"Same," I reply "Good night, Twilight."

"Good night." She says as she starts to head back upstairs, but stops and turns back to me.

"What are you going to wear? You can't sleep in your armor all night, it's not comfy."

"Thanks for the concern Twilight, but I have nothing to wear and plus, I like sleeping in my armor it reminds me of home."

"You're sure?"

"Positive." and with that, she heads back upstairs. I lie down onto the cots and stair out the nearby window. Today has been the strangest day for me, but I feel somewhat content that I don't have to keep fighting anymore. I stare up at that beautiful moon and those stars before I finally let sleep take a hold on me.

Third chapter is finally done! Sorry for not updating on Saturday, I was busy and I didn't have a lot of time to work on the chapter. Well anyway I need to request something from all of you. Could you guys point out any grammar mistakes for me in the previous chapters? I don't really have time to go through them and if you could point them out, it would really help a lot. Chapter 4 - The First Awakening

Chapter Four - The First Awakening

Perspective: Miles
Twelve hours earlier

After losing consciousness, I quickly regain it. I look down to see that I'm hovering in the air, with all of the ponies running beside me... I need to brake free, they're probably going to put me in a prison cell. I leap forward, causing whatever field was holding me to waver and drop me. The ponies are stunned by my actions, so I quickly take off back into the forest. Soon enough, I hear them giving chase. I also notice that my side wound is bleeding heavily, I need to fix that. Now. Bandages aren't going to much, so I reach for my back pocket and pull out the bio foam. I immediately inject it into me, it goes straight for the wound and begins to heal it. I'm going to need another shot of it, but I can't waste any right now. I also feel less weak due to the bio foam restoring my blood. I love these things. My attention is turned back to the ponies who are chasing me. The cowpony has her rope again, oh no you don't.

She tries to throw the rope around me, but I sidestep, causing her to fall. The other ponies trip over her and also fall to the ground. Yes! I can lose them now!

Or not.

Flying in front of me is the rainbow pony from before, looking really pissed. She dives straight for my face, but I quickly dodge it, causing her to crash into a tree. That's gotta hurt. As a keep running, I notice a cave below me, I quickly jump down to it and get inside. The ponies stop directly above me, so I remain still and completely silent.

"Where did he go?!" yells one of them

"I think it took off that way, let's go!"

And with that, they all begin to run off, their steps getting more faint as they move away. I sigh in relief, glad that's over with. I take a look at the cave that I'm inside, it stands at around four meters in height, plenty space for me to stand. The cave looks like it goes down deeper underground, maybe it would be a good idea if I got a bit further underground. I turn on my flashlight and begin to descend deeper into the cave.

After about five minutes of walking, I find myself in a very large cavern. On the roof of the cavern, large glowing blue crystals hang down, they're easily seven meters thick and look pretty sharp. Those things look both valuable and dangerous. The floor is covered in a glowing blue slime, and in the center sits a massive snake. The snake is easily fifteen meters long, it's coiled up into a ball, sleeping. I take a glance at the head, it bares fangs that are a meter long, this is both fascinating and down right terrifying. I try to leave the room and head back up, but I slip and fall.

THUD

"What wasss that?"

Oh bloody hell, I woke it up and it talks too, IS THERE ANYTHING THAT DOESN'T TALK HERE?! The snake turns and looks at me, curiously. It smiles evilly and begins to slither over towards me. I try to get up and run, but its tail knocks me to the ground and coils around me, bringing me to face the snake.

"Well, I've never sssseen a creature like you before, but for waking me up, you'll make a good snack."

"GO TO HELL!" I yell as I activate the energy sword still in my hands

It screams in pain and releases me. It looks really fucking pissed. He lunges at me, but I side step causing him to smash his head into the wall. It growls before lunging at me again, I love stupid enemies. I easily move to the side, and slice the sword at his tail, causing it to fall off.

"ARAAAAAAAAAH!"

Oh you have got to be kidding me.

More snakes begin to pore out from holes in the walls, answering to the cry of their injured comrade. Now there's easily thirty of them, fucking hell man. Two of them lunge at me at the same time, only to be met by my energy sword. I drop both of them and lunge for the closest one. It tries to jump back, but I grab it by its neck and hold it in place. I throw it to the ground and stab my sword through its head, it gurgles a little bit before dying. The other snakes are now looking REALLY pissed. Five of them charge at me at an alarming speed, so I return the favor. I slice like a mad man at them, killing all, but one. He stands there, shocked and tries to retreat, so I quickly kill him and turn to the rest. They're all standing very close to one another, perfect. I reach for a grenade and toss it at them.

THUD

They look at the grenade, and begin to laugh.

BOOOM

Not anymore.

The blast kills ten of them and sends the rest of them flying back. They begin to get back up, I try to run at them, but a snake grabs my arm, causing me to stumble.

"DIE!" It screams as it lunges its fangs towards my head. I grab it by the head and kick its stomach repeatedly, causing it to stumble back and fall over. I decide I've had enough of this melee game, so I grab my pistol and take aim at its head. I fire a single round into its head, causing brain matter to splatter across the cave floor. I turn my attention back to the other snakes who are staring at me in fear.

"Anyone else?" I ask

They shake their heads.

"Then leave."

The surviving snakes begin to quickly slither back to the holes, bunch of fucking wimps if you ask me. I then proceed to leave the cave, and eventually make it back to the surface. The noise from that fight could have attracted the ponies, or some other predator that lurks in this forest, so I quickly begin to sprint away from the cave.

After around fifteen minutes of running, I find open patch of flowers and decide that I can rest here, I also take this time to check my surroundings. Although the color of the trees hasn't changed much, the color of the ground has changed drastically. Different colors of flowers spread out so lively here, the ground looks so green and healthy, while the rest of the forest looks very marshy. Why is there such a strong contrast here? Well, another weird thing to add about this place.

*yawn*

Man, I feel tired from all this weird shit, I'mma take a fucking nap, fuck you forest. And with that, I climb to the top of the strongest tree that I can find and lose consciousness once again.

Three hours later

I am awoken once again by falling out of the tree and landing flat on my face. Son of a bitch that hurt. I look up in the sky and see that its three hours past noon. Perfect, didn't lose much time. I stand up and reach for my pistol, I have a feeling that somethings going to come out and try to kill my ass.

"RAAAR!!!!!"

Fucking called it. A large creature jumps from the out of the forest and into the field of flowers. It looks like a lion, but it has bat like wings and a scorpion's tail. Thank you forest, you asshole. I decide that I have had enough of this bullshit for one day and simply raise my pistol and fire one round into its head. Brain matter goes flying and the creature falls limply to the ground with a loud thud. I begin to walk away, but sent flying back when another one of those things kicks me in the head. With a loud thud, I hit a nearby tree and am able to get a good glance at my attacker. It looks really pissed about me dropping its comrade. I raise my pistol and take aim.

*click* *click*

Oh fan-fucking-tastic, I just had to run out of ammo now. The creature charges at me, so I quickly dodge to the left. It turns to me again and swipes a claw towards me, just barely grazing my armor. I punch it straight in the jaw, causing a few teeth to fly out of its mouth, and a little bit of blood to splatter onto my hand. It lunges at me and tackles me to the ground. It begins to try and claw at my armor, but I grab both of its paws and hold it back, I kick my knee upwards, hitting him directly in the balls. Oh that's gotta hurt. It groans and pain and falls limply off of me. It holds its injured balls with its pawls and rolls around on the ground, what the actual hell?

"Now take a moment to think about what you done." I say as I begin to walk off.

Taking off back into the woods, I quickly begin to head northward, maybe I can find a way back to my supply crate. As I run along, I begin to hear loud crashing coming from my right. I look to see a massive new alien asshole there. It stands easily twenty meters tall and has long wings that stretch almost ten meters in diameter. IT'S A FUCKING DRAGON!
Are you fucking with me life? God? Please somebody tell me that this is just a sick dream.

"RAAAAAAAAAAAR!!!!!!!"

A plume of fire spreads over me and makes my shields waver, I can literally feel the heat from behind my shields. This fight is going to suck ass. I activate my energy sword and lunge at the dragon in front of me. It swings its tail at me, but I lunge to the left, evading its attack. I get close enough to slice at its belly, eliciting a screech of pain from the dragon. With a powerful flap of its wings, it sends me flying ten meters back. It then begins to suck in its breath and begins to aim at me.

Oh no you don't.

Just as it releases its fire, I make it out of the way from the blast. I quickly begin to sprint for it, and jump high into the air. I land on its left wing and I begin to climb towards its neck. It tries to kick me off, by bucking, slashing, and flapping its wings, but I hold on tight. I make it to its neck and slice my sword into it. It screams in pain and uses a claw to grab and throw me off. The dragon looks extremely pissed off now, It begins to charge up its fire once more, so I reach to my back pocket for my last grenade. I only have one shot at this.

Just as it opens its mouth, I tose the grenade down its throat, causing the fire to stop. It looks confused for a second before starting to charge at me.

"BOOM!"

The sound of the grenade erupts from the dragon, and its body explodes. Sending flesh and body parts all over the forest. A small fire has started, but it's nothing to worry about, I move over and stomp out the fire. Glad that's over with.

"Guys, Ah found 'em!" yells the cowpony from before. Great the ponies found me again, guess its time to run again. I begin to take off, but am met with a tree branch to the face. Sending me flying into the ground with a loud thud, which also causes the bandage for my side wound as opened once again, making blood to ouse out. Just great. The ponies begin to get closer and closer, and my consciousness is slipping. I give up, I'm just going to let them take me prisoner and get this over with. And with that, I fall into unconsciousness again. Perhaps for the final time.

Author's Note

Hey guys, sorry for the short chapter, but I didn't have a lot of time to right this today. I had to spend time with family and I have school in the morning. This chapter is for the events between Chapter two and three. It should also be known that I have no actual plan for this story, I'm just going with the flow. I don't like planning writing, its boring. Anywho, if you have any suggestions for the story, feel free to PM me, I could use some new ideas! Chapter 5 - Meet The Princesses

Chapter Five - Meet The Princesses

Perspective: Miles

I'm running down the corridor of the ship as gun and plasma fire roar behind me, at the end of the corridor I see a figure standing in the door way to the bridge. As I start to run, I make out the figure looks like me, but it isn't. Its eyes are glowing red and black and white energy is seeping from its arms and legs. It sees me and smiles evilly, I raise my pistol and try to take aim, but it snaps it fingers and my gun disappears. I try to charge at it, but it snaps its fingers again and transports me to a full black room. The room doesn't have a single feature, it's just pure black.

*flash*

I turn around to see the false me standing there, its eyes staring at me with a hunger and more energy begins to seep from it.

"WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU?!" I yell as I try to charge at it. It chuckles before shooting a beam of pure white energy towards me. The energy slams into me and sends me flying back towards the wall of the room. I wince in pain and look up to see that it's walking towards me, a blade of black energy in its arms. It reaches me and kneels down beside me and points the blade towards me.

"LET ME GO!" I yell as it chuckles again while standing up. It frowns and it kicks me in the face, knocking me down. The room suddenly goes white and on one of the walls a image begins to form. I see a picture of the Admiral, his eyes are a full black and blood is dripping from them. He stares at me, looking into the soul of who I am.

"Why did you leave?" he asks

"I couldn't control it, it wasn't my fault.."

"We fell to the Covenant, everyone is dead."

"No, that can't be..."

"Why did you leave?!" he yells

"I didn't want to, I'm sorry."

"WHY DID YOU LEAVE?!" he screams louder. I try to run away, but more Admirals begin to form and look at me.

"WHY DID YOU LEAVE?! They scream as the circle around me, I hold my ears, praying for them to stop.

"Miles..." I hear Twilight's voice

"Miles."

"MILES!"

I shoot upward with a scream, hitting Twilight in the face and knocking her on the floor.

"Twilight! Are you alright?" I ask as I grab her ha- I mean hoof.

"I'm fine, I was trying to wake you up, you were having a nightmare, are you alright?" She asks as she looks up to me.

"I'm fine, it was just a dream." I say as I quickly walk out of the room.

"You're sure, you can always talk about it..."

"Positive. I'm fine."

"Well, I made breakfast, Spike's already up and I want you to meet him." She says as we walk towards the kitchen. Spike is sitting in at the table, eating some gems while reading.. wait WHAT?!

"WHY ARE YOU EATING GEMS?!"

"AHH!" He shouts as he looks up at me, I can see the fear in his eyes, man I really shouldn't have done that.

"Twilight?! What is that thing!" he says as he backs away from me

"Spike, this is our new house guest, his name is Miles."

"Hi, nice to meet you. Now, more importantly, WHY ARE YOU EATING GEMS?!"

"Miles! He's a dragon, dragons eat gems."

Wat. Brain.exe has stopped working, please reboot.

"Do you have any idea the value of what you are eating?!"

"They're just gems that Rarity and I got on our gem hunt, there nothing special really." He says as he takes a bite out of a huge sapphire. I want to do something, but I can't. I turn to the wall and bang my head against it. This place is only going to get more weird isn't it? *sigh* of well, I can't really do much about it anyway.

"Miles, the pancakes are done." Twilight says as she places a plate of pancakes at my seat. Pancakes. Hunger.exe is eating 75% of CPU, would you like to stop it? No, go away. I sit down with a audible thud and dig into my food. These are the best pancakes I have ever tasted in my entire life, I quickly devour all of my food in around thirty seconds. Twilight and Spike are looking at me in awe and I chuckle.

"What? I was hungry and those were the best pancakes I've ever had in my entire life." I say, getting Twilight to blush.

"They're not that great."

"They beat the military rations that I lived off of."

"What was in the rations?" Spike asks

"Dried fruits, vegetables, anything that really kept us going. Though meat was a rarity to have."

"YOU EAT MEAT?!" They both yell in unison before backing away from me.

"Not always, it was a very rare thing, I've only had it a few times in my life."

"You're not going to eat us are you?" Spike asks nervously.

"Of course not, for one it's rude to eat your hosts and secondly it's considered taboo to eat reptile or equine in human society, but some cultures still do it." I say, getting them to sigh in relief. I look at the clock, it reads nine hundred hours, perfect. I walk back into the living room and retrieve my helmet. I put it back onto my head, getting the air lock to seal. My hud appears and shows that I have thirty seven rounds of pistol ammo and one hundred and sixty rounds of assault rifle ammo, this will do just nicely. I turn and begin to walk for the door, but Twilight stops me.

"Miles, where are you going?"

"I have to get back to my supply crate, I need to bring it back here so that ammo doesn't fall into the wrong hands, or in this case hoofs." I say as I begin moving for the door.

"But Miles, the Princesses are going to be here soon, they need to meet you."

"Well come get me when they get here." I say with a chuckle and open the door.

"Ah, Twilight nice to see you, we came here about the....woah."

Standing in the doorway are two alicorns, one stands about a foot under me and has a white coat. Her hair is divided into four different colors, pink, blue, purple, and green. It also flows with a some type of energy, but there's no wind around. That is sick as fuck. She stares up at me in awe, not sure of what to say. The other alicorn is slightly smaller than the white one, her hair flows with the same energy, but her hair is a single midnight blue. It also has what looks to be twinkling stars moving in her hair, that is really pretty looking. There are also two ponies clad in what looks to be gold plated armor. One of them is a Pegasus and the other is a Unicorn. But they both share the same white coat and eyes for whatever reason. Luna looks at me with the same look as her sister. The guards stare at me briefly in awe, but quickly turn their stares back to the blank stare they wore before. Twilight sees this and she moves to greet them.

"Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, this is the human that I crashed in the Everfree, His name is Miles, Miles say hi."

"Commander Ferrum Miles, Leader of the Spartans of Harvest." I say as I extend a hand.

"I am Princess Celestia, co ruler of Equestria and this is my sister, Princess Luna." She says as she shakes my hand with her hoof. How she grabbed my hand and shook it, I will never know.

"Hi..." she says nervously, avoiding eye contact with me. For a ruler, she's pretty shy. That is actually really cute for some reason. We walk into the living room, and take a seat at various places. I take my seat down on my cot while the others sit on the couch. The guards move and stand on both sides of the princesses.

"Commander, we need to ask you a few questions before we can determine if you are a threat or not." Celestia says

"Please, call me Miles, and I can answer some of your questions. If they are classified, then I can not tell you. I am bound by law not to give away UNSC secrets to anyone whatsoever for any reason." I say

"Ok, first off. What is the likely hood that your people will come and look for you?"

"Not likely at all, if they were still alive, they wouldn't come looking for a soldier that went MIA twenty thousand years ago." I say sadly. Luna's ears perk up and she looks at me with a sympathetic expression, like she's experienced the same pain I have. I also realize that I still have my helmet on.

"Oh, where are my manners, let me remove my helmet." I say as I remove the helmet. I take a look at them and this causes their expressions of awe to return. I chuckle and lean back.

"Miles, why are your eyes glowing green?" Luna asks as she stares into my eyes.

"Pretty cool huh? It's a rare condition that I was born with, a few elements are reacting with each other, giving my eyes their glowing green color. It serves as a advantage for me because for one, it helps me see better in the dark and two it looks really cool." I explain

"I want my eyes to do that...." Celestia says

"And I want hair like yours, you and Luna's hair are just absolutely amazing, I need hair like that." I say with a chuckle.

"Getting back on track, are there more of you that landed here?"

"Not that I know of, if there are, I need to find them. We could very well be the last of humanity left in existence."

"Why is that?" Luna asks

"Because we were at war with the Covenant. Their goal was to wipe humanity from the face of the universe, and they may have succeeded." I say with anger.

"I'm sorry to hear that.," Celestia says "Moving on to the third question, are you armed with any weapons as of now?"

"Yes, currently I am armed with my MA37 Assault Rifle, my Magnum, and my energy sword." This causes the guards to draw their swords, they really don't like the fact that their leaders are in the room with an alien that could be hostile, can't say I blame them.

"Relax, I have no intention of causing harm to anyone, I have no reason to." The guards re sheave their swords, but they still stand in a ready stance.

"Well then, do you mind turning in your weapons for examination?" Celestia asks

"I'm sorry, but these are property of the UNSC armed forces, any non UNSC personnel are forbidden to inspect these weapons."

"Did you just deny the Princess you disrespecting foal?" One of the guards says with anger, drawing his sword.

"Guard! Miles is a guest in our country, he is not a citizen of our country and therefore does not have to turn in his weapons to us. I wouldn't even force him to even if he was a citizen, it's his property, not ours." Celestia scolds

"Sorry Princess." The guard lowers his head and bows

"It's quite alright, just don't let it happen again."

Wow she is really nice, being this kind to a foreigner, to an alien for that matter.

"Is there anything else that needs to be gone ever?" I ask

"No, I believe that's all."

They sit there awkwardly, I know they want to ask me more questions. Probably about Harvest and humanity itself. Might as well get this over with.

"*sigh* Fine. Go ahead, you can ask more."

"Where are humans native from?" Celestia asks

"Well we come from Earth, but we expanded out to the galaxy and colonized planets."

"But this is Earth, and there are no humans here." Luna says

"Humanity may have been wiped out by the Covenant, but I'm not completely sure that this is the same Earth that home to humans." I say sadly

"I'm sorry for bringing that up." Celestia says, with her head lowered

"It's fine, you don't need to feel bad about my problems, you didn't cause them." I smile at her and she smiles back.

"Can you give us some history about humanity? Like what lead to human colonization?" Twilight asks as she holds a notebook and a quill with her magic. When did she get those? Deciding to ignore it, I start to explain the history of mankind. I tell them about how humans came out of continent of Africa, how we spread all across the world and made mighty civilizations that rose and fell. I talk about the various different diseases and plagues that nearly wiped out humanity, and how we over came them and built in the rubble of the nations that fell to them. I also tell them about the first and second world wars, seeing as these are a major turning point in human history and caused our technology to boom for over 600 years, continuing on. They stare at me in disbelief as I get into the nuclear age.

"You mean humans made a bomb that could destroy an entire city?!"

"Yep, sure that may sound bad, but it ended the second world war and gave humanity its first steps in providing to energy to everyone in the world."

We eventually get to space exploration, which really perks Luna's interests. I tell them about the first man who stepped on the moon and how we lunched missions to all of the different planets. I also get into the invention of slip space travel and how humanity had to search for a new planet to provide supplies. Which leads to the colonization and our finding of the Covenant. Because I gave them a brief overview of everything, we've only been sitting here for about an hour. I stand up in stretch, and move to get a drink. I come back to see that they are all chatting away. I walk back into the living room and see that they are staring out the window.

KRA-BOOM!

A fire ball strikes the middle of the street outside, causing the nearby ponies to scatter. I look for the source of the explosion to see that there is a massive dragon flying overhead, looking really hungry for blood.

"Oh you have got to be kidding me."

I run towards the door and reach for my assault rifle. I open the door to face the dragon, seeing that it's about to fire at one of the houses.

"HEY, DIP SHIT!" I yell, causing the dragon to turn and look at me.

"Hmm, what are you?" It says in a deep voice, looking down at me.

"I am Commander Ferrum Miles, and you are attacking innocent civilians." I say as I draw my sword.

"Is that so? Well, I'd like to see what you can do, little hairless ape in armor."

"Bring it bitch." I say as I charge at the dragon.

Hey guys, sorry for the poorly writing chapter, I'm having writer's block right now and it was so painful to write. I also put a lot more dialogue then I normally like, but next chapter won't be like this, I promise. I'm also really running with the flow with this story, I don't really have a plan. If you have any ideas or suggestions, please private message me. I really need some help with this. Anywho, I hope you enjoyed this chapter, even though it wasn't the best. I'll see you next chapter!
