Late to school. Again.
I was rushing to find my Math text book, when the bus came to my house and I missed it. I was running after like a mad hound chasing a runaway cat down the street from my house, and the bus was the cat. But like normal, the bus won again. "Shit! And I was so close too", I said to my self "Brandon, you really need to start getting up earlier!". I don't know how I was able to get a ride to school with one of my friends, but it was the luck of the draw. The sun was shinning like any other day, but on a day like in September it wouldn't be this hot out. What sucks is that I never thought of bringing my hat to school, and my water bottle was still in my room.
How stupid of me.
I put my textbook in my locker, and make it to Health 5 minutes late. Luckily I didn't get yelled at this time. High School is a big challenge. It's hard as hell, and you don't know what to expect from it. If you're late to class, then you get a Pink Slip. And when you get 3 Pink Slips, then you get a Saturday Detention. Isn't High School grand? After class I go to my locker, get out my phone, and call my brother Matthew. "I already have 2 Pink Slips", I say while on the phone "High School isn't going to get better if I get at least one Saturday". "Calm down Brandon", he says back to me "At least it's not like back at Deer Path where you got random detentions 24/7". He is right, and I can't believe it. Deer Path Middle School was dreadful for all of the students. The teachers were rude, the students were unhappy, and our idiot assistant principal gave us the most outrageous excuses for getting detentions. Overall, it was awful. Those were the dark ages though, and thank god they are over. "So are we going to Kerndel's house after I am done with my duties?", I ask my brother. "I'm afraid not", he says sadly "Pkern's mom is out of town tonight, and she would get pissed if we trash his house".
Trash. I am NOT that kind of party animal.
"Well anyway, I have to get to class", I say kindly. "Alright Mr. Hotshot", he says back to me as a joke "Have fun with the dead octopus in a jar!". He hangs up, and I put my phone back into my backpack.
I get to Bio on time, and I make it there before the teacher even unlocks the door. It's nice that you got two of your friends in the same Bio class, but it is worse when you have the hardest homework that the two friends don't know. So with homework I am basically screwed. I remember a good time back at Deer Path, where our teacher Mr. Gruber blew something up while I was in my LRC class, and the fire alarms went off. Everyone from our class was laughing, even Mr. Gruber himself! Those were good times in the dark ages, and that rarely happened back then. Reading and Writing are the most boring classes this year. We have to read a book about a pilot, which sounds promising because she has dark skin and she can't get into the WASP. But when you read the book, it makes no sense what so ever. I am on chapter 4, and I am so confused that I just fall asleep during the class periods. LRC is a class where I can finally get a break. The only problem though, is that I have to finish my hard Bio homework from this morning. Like I said, isn't High School grand? Lunch is great, and hanging out with my friends is very fun. But then comes Math. I freaking hate Math. Math is one of my most hated classes, but for some reason I am really good at it. It's lucky that I have two LRC periods during the day, because after Math is the second LRC. It is also nice because it is the last period of the day, and after that you can go home. But guess what? More homework. I guess it's one of those days that you get tired of High School.
I always wanted to be a hero, but I never expected it to be so hard...
Machine parts were everywhere, rain was poring, and my heart was beating at a very face pace. The battlefield was intense, and I wasn't going to let my guard down. Not today.
Two days ago, a message was sent to our school from an evil robot organization called The Cogs. The Cogs always wanted to make the Toon world suffer since they day I became a toon. But what they couldn't take was a little joke. So thats when us toons got the idea, to make the cogs laugh, and watch them explode to death!
But this battle was different.
I would beat the Vice President of Cogs and save my school, or except defeat in my bare hands. I chose to fight, and I fought a very hard battle. The VP stood there in a fright of shock, as I gave him his K.O punch. He was done for, and the school honored me and my hero friends.
After that, I went on other amazing adventures. Exploring the shadows, awakening legendary dragons, and fighting a horde of monsters.
But. Those other adventures were 2 years ago, before I lost my powers.
But today, a new story will happen in my life....
Hands, Hearts, and Hoofs.
