Chapters 1: Nightmare Moon Returns
Celestia awoke to the cackle of laughter. She got out of bed and looked at the sky.
"Oh sweet Luna, why does it have to be today of all days?" Celestia ground her teeth and walked out of her room.
Celestia made her way to her sisters' chambers, then kicked the door down.
"Can this not wait until after my conference?!" Celestia yelled at her sister.
"No, she keeps bugging me and I promised." Luna looked up at her sister with the puppy dog eyes.
"Luna, wait until tomorrow."
"No,"
"Luna, I think you have forgotten what I can do." Celestia fired up a spell, and her horn glowed bright yellow.
"You wouldn't dare!" Luna glared at Celestia.
"No Nightmare Moon until Monday."
"No!"
"Do you want there to be a No Luna, No Nightmare Moon until Monday?"
Luna rubbed her chin, considering her chances. On one hoof, she could run and pray that she got Nighty out soon enough, and hope Celestia didn't find them. On the other hoof, she could stall Nighty and stay on Equestria for the next four days.
"I'll just tell Nighty of what you'd do if I let her out, so I'm just, heh, gonna go back to bed, heh heh..." In a poof of dust, Luna was in her bed and Celestia was in her room.
As Celestia shrugged it off, a soft solid hit her nose.
"Dear Celestia,
Don't send me to the moon with her, I beg you.
Your sister,
Luna loves you."
Celestia sighed. "We'll see, little sister, we'll see."
In the morning, Celestia awoke to havoc. Pure chaos. Chaos.
"DISCOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRDDDD!" Celestia yelled as her books flew around the room and her sheets pecked at the floor.
Celestia walked out of the room, making seemingly random spells that returned things to normal. She walked down the hall and into Discord's room. She smiled coldly at him.
"Oh hello, Celestia! Just enjoying some fine chaos!"
"You know very well that your chaos is only allowed in this room, no where else in MY castle. Want the punishment?"
"Oh, do I get a time out?" Discord sputtered and laughed.
Luna appeared behind Celestia and motioned with her hoof to cut it out. This just made the draconequus laugh even more. Celestia looked at Luna.
"*Sigh* To the moon?"
"Send it to the moon!" Celestia roard as a large yellow bolt of magic shot at Discord, and the mix-matched pony-like disappeared. "Oh, and so no pony does anything to disrupt me..."
Luna tried to escape, but it was futile. She got caught in a yellow aura and transported to the moon. Celestia teleported to her throne room and smiled.
"Celestia, didn't you have a meeting today?" Twilight asked as she came by the door frame.
"Oh, I just told them that so I could be alone for a bit. Which reminds me,"
Twilight's eyes went wide and she cowered, then set up a magic shield. The spell bounced off the bubble and hit its caster.
"Well, I guess I should try to get them out," Twi thought, then another thought came through her mind: would she be mad?
Twilight decided to run to the balcony and fly back to Ponyville.
--On the Moon--
Nightmare sat drawing pictures in the dirt. In a flash, Discord landed on top of the alicorn.
"You too, huh?"
"Yup."
"Wanna go make chaos for the humans? It's pretty fun to destroy their rovers."
"That would be excellent," Discord snapped his talons and a bucket of water dumped on the mare.
"You know, you may not be able to die," Nighty glared at him. "But I will make you wish you could."
Nighty charged up her biggest spell, which made the chaos god catch on fire. Worst of all, her spell cancelled his magic. Just as he started rolling around, Luna appeared next to him.
"Put me out! For the love of Celestia! Put me out!" Discord held onto her hooves.
Luna glared down at him and bucked him in the face. She cantered over to Nighty.
"So, I'm thinking we should make a catapult and send Celestia to the sun for 1000 years."
"I made some approximate sketches over there in the dust." The two crazy alicorns walked over the the drawing and started thinking.
In a last flash of magic, Celestia fell down on top of them.
"I already have to deal with ponies who hate me, now I have to deal with you guys, even you, Luna, plotting my downfall!?" Celestia bucked the three immortals on the heads.
"Celly! Why'd you do that?!" Luna rubbed her throbbing head.
"You were plotting to send me to the sun for a thousand years."
"Oh, uh, yeah, I'll just, uh, go do something over there." Luna trotted over to a crater and started making a mosaic in the dust.
Celestia glared at Nighty. Nighty glared back.
"What'd you do to Discord?"
"I set him on fire and cancelled his magic."
"We may just get along slightly well then,"
"Oh, watch this," Nighty charged another spell and a thunder cloud flew over to Discord.
On her command, the lightning bolt hit Discord, singeing his fur.
"Why do you do this to me?!" Discord continued to roll in the dirt.
"Because you're annoying. Maybe I'll put you out if you shut up."
"NEVER!" Discord cackled.
In another puff of magic, the Changeling Queen appeared next to them.
"Uhh... what?" Luna rose her head from the crater.
"I came to Twilight's to borrow some milk. She thought I was Celestia, said don't be mad, then sent me to the moon."
"Oh... wait, why were you borrowing milk?" Nighty asked.
"It helps me create more goo to make those pods, like the one I put Celestia in. Oh, by the way, you may want to have a brain surgeon take a look at your brain, there may still be goop in there."
"Does it have to be a brain surgeon?" Celestia shivered after thinking of the goo in her ear.
"I could lick it out."
"Well... uh... I, uh, I-" Before the Sun Goddess could give an answer, Nightmare had knocked her out.
"Just get it over with, she won't remember what you said. If she heard that, then in four days, she'd still be freaking out."
Chrysalis licked the inside of the Goddess' ears and cleaned the goop out. In another flash of magic, Chrysalis disappeared off the moon.
"I guess Twilight only made it a 2 hour trip." Luna thought out loud.
"Will you please put me out?!" Luna and Nightmare Moon looked at each other.
"No," They said in unison.
2: Solar Flare's Reapearance
Luna stirred from her slumber after hearing waves of sound. She got up and looked out the window. The Night Goddess sighed. Luna walked out of her room and down the halls. There were tons of pony skeletons from each race, excluding Alicorns. She walked to Discord's room and knocked.
"Who is it?" Discord asked in a sing song voice.
"Guess what Celestia did!" Luna sang back.
"Again? Seriously?" Discord asked as he walked out of his chaotic room.
The duo walked down to Nightmare's new room and knocked.
"Celestia did it again, huh?"
"Yep. Let's go get Twilight." Luna and Discord walked down the halls with Nightmare in tow.
Twilight Sparkle had moved in recently, as well as her friends. They were required to stay in Canterlot for at least a year, so they could get used to the royal duties. Twilight opened her door as she heard the knock. Her friends were inside as well, but hadn't died since Twilight always had a barrier around the room just in case.
"Celestia did it. Again."
"Did what?"
"She messed up moving the sun and sent a solar flare down to earth and wiped out all life except alicorns and ponies behind a magical bubble."
"Wow, uh, okay." The six other ponies followed the trio to Celestia's room.
"Sister, come on, let's go fix everything."
"You'll laugh at me!" Celestia decided to stay hidden.
"I promise that if Discord or Nightmare do, I will kick them to the moon." Luna glared at the God of Chaos and the Goddess of Darkness.
Nightmare accepted the fact that she should be quiet; she definitely did NOT want to go back to the lonely moon. Discord thought about it and decided being on fire for over 48 hours would not be worth it at all. He zipped his mouth shut and threw away the key.
"Okay, come on sister. No pony will laugh at you."
"Okay... We need to call Chrysalis though. Probably Cadence too. I think we may need to let her out."
"Who's her?"
"'Her' is Celestia's evil half; Solar Flare. Did she-"
"Yes. She decided it'd be funny to blind me while trying to raise the sun, and it was NOT funny at all!" After her sentence, cackling could be heard from the direction of the sun.
"Okay, I'll teleport them over." Luna sighed as she revved up a spell that wasn't needed.
"Yeah, you kind of killed all my Changelings. And we were just about to come over and conquer you- I mean uh, I..." Chrysalis tried to cover her tracks.
"Okay, you get to live at the castle a bit, or you can just live on the moon and let your Changelings die, then you'll stay here. Then we can make an agreement."
"But... I, uh, fine. I hate you all so much." Chrysalis sighed.
"I can't believe you did it... again." Cadence growled.
"Cadence!"
"Twilight! I haven't seen you since your coronation!" The two hugged.
"Ahem, can we just get this done with?" Celestia growled.
The god and goddesses united powers and reset Equestria. It was also a good thing that Solar Flare didn't re-destroy it; at least... not yet. Solar Flare flew down and smiled a cartoon-y pointy smile. She stretched.
"You know being on the sun for a thousand years is boring. And hot, even for me." Solar walked over to Nighty and they hoof-five-d.
"It was not supposed to be enjoyable. I thought I made that clear when I sent you there."
"Hmm, I suppose you are correct. Anyways... where is my room?"
"Who wants to show her to her room?"
"You guys have fun with that, I have to go back to the Crystal Empire so, yeah." In a flash of blue, Cadence was gone.
"Who is going to take care of my subject though?" Chrysalis thought she would be home free.
"I'll send one of my family members over, don't worry! Hey! Sonic Boom! Come here!" Celestia called to a seemingly random point of emptiness.
"What?! You don't have to yell! I'll go now." A black alicorn with a rainbow mane and tail came out of a rip in space.
Rainbow Dash looked at her. Sonic Boom looked back.
"Yeah, this is weird, I'm gonna go to the Changeling Empire now, bye." In a rainbow flash, the mare looked like Chrysalis and spoke like her, then vanished.
"That... was... AWESOME!" Rainbow smiled. "It's like I have my own alicorn clone!"
"Yeah, that's great." Luna sighed.
"Luna, would you show the 'guests' to their rooms?"
"Fine, come on, let's go."
Luna, Solly, Chrysalis, Twilight, Celestia, Discord, Nighty, and the Elements of Harmony walked down to Nighty's room.
"Solly you-"
"Why are you calling me Solly?" Solar Flare asked.
"I don't feel like calling you 'Solar Flare'. It's too long."
They went past Nighty's room and came to a wall. Luna charged a spell and a red door appeared.
"Here is your room."
Solly entered the room and sighed. "Needs more fire."
"Well, keep the fire and chaos in there, and you won't be a problem. If you cause trouble, I'll send you back to the sun for a week."
"Oh, yes, well, I'll just keep the fire in here then," Solly cast a spell so the fire she would create couldn't leave the room without dying out.
The Goddess of Light started making fire all over her room, then sat on the bed. "Perfect!"
Nighty sighed and rubbed her hooves. "I'm gonna go to the kitchen and get something to eat; Solly, you in?"
"Count me in!" Solly appeared in a flash next to Nighty.
"I'll go with you!" Discord sang.
The trio of chaos skipped down the hall and into the kitchen.
"Okay Chrysalis, your room is in the basement. And before you get your holes in a twist, you can make it as much of a home as you want. But, you'll have to do regular duties of coming to me so we can work out a Peace Accord. Anyway, I would like to make an experiment later on. I'll give you the details later." Celestia and the others walked down the halls and into the basement.
"Okay, I need someone to love me so I can survive. Weird saying it, trust me."
"I've always thought you were kinda cool. I guess I'll help feed you." Rainbow sighed.
"Now, now, y'all, I think we should all do our best to uh, feed our new friend. You are a friend, right?"
"*Sigh* I suppose so, friends." Chrysalis muttered.
"Okay, then, it's settled we ALL do our best to care about Chrysalis."
"Twilight?"
"Yes?"
"You taste like sugar."
"Eww-kayy. Thanks?"
"Rainbow tastes like Skittles, Applejack tastes like sweat and applesauce, Rarity tastes like lemons, Fluttershy tastes like fruit, and Pinkie Pie, you taste like cake."
"Aww man! I wish I was a Changeling, then I could taste myself and I'd taste like cake so I'd just eat and eat and eat and-"
"We get it, sugar cube."
"Celestiaaaa! I'm not feeling the looooveee! Luna, you too."
"I don't want to love you just yet; when we have a Peace Treaty, then I'll love you like there was no tomorrow."
"If you drop the sun or something there won't be a tomorrow."
"Luna! I'm your sister!"
"Just kidding, just kidding. I'm going to go check on the Trio of Chaos. Chrysalis, I... ugh, I love you." Luna muttered.
"Luna! You taste like blueberries and milkshakes! You are very delicious!"

"Chrysalis~!" Celestia called down the stairs. She flew up and over the railing, then down to the bedroom door. She knocked hard with her hoof and then found herself kicking it open. She walked in and leaned over her. "Wake up!"
Chrysalis basically died of a heart attack and looked up at Celestia after falling off of her bed. "Why would you do that?!"
"I called you about a thousand times before, so I just yelled in your ear. Now, come with me, we have work to do."
The pair walked up the stairs and through the halls then into one of the various rooms. They sat down and looked at each other across from the table. Celestia pulled out a paper and started writing.
"Okay so, I'm starting, and we'll negotiate as we go. So, the ponies and citizens of Equestria will do their best to tolerate and love the Changelings. We will first have a select bunch of ponies who tolerate Changelings care for the and possibly let them into their home. Then, once the other ponies see they are truly okay, they'll love them too. In exchange you and your minions cannot commit any crimes, just as any other citizen of Equestria. If they do, they'll be sent back to the Wastelands. We will have guards on the border to protect them. Is that fair enough?"
"Yes, I suppose it is." Chrysalis sighed and shook hooves with Celestia. "Shall I send a signal to them telling them the rules f living here?"
"Go ahead, I'll be in the throne room taking petitions. Please do not bug me. And thank you very much Chrysalis. I really do kind of love you." Celestia smiled sweetly.
Chrysalis smiled as she tasted the love from Celestia. She tasted of chocolate cake and the sweetest sugar. She started a mental signal to her minions. Chrysalis told them of the rules and how they could stay in the Wastelands if they wanted. She told them that they had to wait until they found candidates to take care of them.
5: Agitation
Twilight and her friends sat at the Royal Dining Hall table. They stared in confusion as the chaos unfolded before them. Chrysalis was throwing a fit about how no pony was showing her any affection whatsoever. Discord started a war between the teacups and silverware to, as he put it, 'spice things up.' Solar Flare decided to set fire to Celestia's cup of water, even if that was impossible, it happened. Luna and Nightmare Moon were doodling on a napkin with a quill, sometimes mentioning that something was too stupid to work or saying that this wouldn't work if that did this. Cadence sat next to Shining Armor, and the two stared blankly as the chaos continued. Celestia was busy yelling at Discord about his behavior.
Having enough of the chaos, Twilight slammed her hooves down on the table, rattling the delicate teacups. "E-nough! Why can't you all act your age?!"
"Oh, act my age? All right-y then, your highness," Discord spat and immediately his skin wrinkled up. "What's that, Dawn? You want me to act out my page? What page?"
After hearing this, Nighty and Luna giggled, but seeing Twilight's unamused expression quickly made them quiet down.
"Just be quiet so we can have a nice, QUIET dinner. Please!" Twilight's words were laced with venom and anger.
The royalty quickly stopped their shenanigans in response to the cruel sounds of her voice. Solly put out the fire that had somehow started on water, and Discord's chaos immediately ceased. Luna and Nighty ate the napkin which probably held notes on how to overthrow Celestia. After all, Celestia might need to take a few sick days and they would be in charge. Chrysalis glared at Twilight with agitation.
"I still need my lovely sustenance," Chrysalis' doubled voice was laced with the same, if not more venom than Twilight's words.
Twilight sighed. "I'm sorry, Chrysalis. You were actually one of the better behaving ones of the bunch."
Chrysalis nodded in appreciation. Cadence and Shining stared at Twilight Sparkle, the Princess of Friendship; how could she have so much venom in her voice? Celestia sat down and gave a disapproving glance in Twilight's direction, but let it go after a moment.
"Anyhow, let's take our orders, okay?" Celestia tried to ease the tension.
"Can I go to my room now? I don't exactly eat food." Chrysalis purred in a cat like tone.
Twilight looked to Celestia who looked to Luna who looked to Twilight. They nodded their heads in an agreement of sorts.
"I shall allow it," Celestia stated bluntly.
Chrysalis stood from the pillow she sat on and walked out of the room politely. Soon after, a stallion quickly ran in the room.
"Princess Cadence, Prince Shining Armor, there are problems back in the Crystal Empire! You must come right away!"
The two looked at each other and quickly ran out the door after excusing themselves.
"What is the matter?"
"I can't really tell you, it must be handled by the Princess."
Just as he stated, Cadence reentered. "Twilight, I need you and your friends to come with us, we need your help."
"Why?"
"Sombra is back."
After the eight ponies left, Nighty spoke up. "I've been calling him Sombrero this whole time. Why didn't you guys correct me?!"
The train chugged along the tracks and gradually slowed down. It came to a stop at the tracks and the eight ponies galloped out, pushing their way through. The entered the Crystal Empire and ran to the Crystal Heart. They arrived to a strange sight. Sombra was tapping at it, seemingly trying to get it out of the crystal hold.
"What are you doing, Sombra?"
"Oh holy sh- Ahem. I hath returned to take back mine throne!" He yelled in a deep and scary voice.
"What are you- How did you- What?!" Rainbow Dash yelled in confusion.
"I am here to take back my throne! Don't yell at me, Celestia wrote- I mean-"
"Celestia told you to do this? Why?!"
"Uh, I think I hear my laundry calling, bye!" In a flash of black magic, the unicorn was gone.
"Twilight. I think we've been duped."
-Back At The Castle-
"Your niece is there and confused. But, I uh- I kinda- they figured it out."
"Thanks anyway, Sombra. They wouldn't leave and we have some 'business' to attend to, if you catch my drift. Would you care to join us?"
"Sure, what is it?"
"We want you and Solly and Nighty to terrorize Equestria!"
"Why?"
"Because peace is so boring! That's why!" Luna yelled, waving her arms around frantically.
"But no killing any pony. And I wasn't apart of this. If I hear of even one death, you all are to the moon. Got it?"
"Yes Celestia, stop being such a party pooper."
The pyromaniac, the super strange, and the crazy ponies teleported out of the castle, and out to Canterlot. They spread chaos and panic all through out the town, not holding back even a bit.
-Later-
"Celestia?"
"Yes, what is it? I'm going over some important documents."
"We kinda, uh, we kinda killed some pony..." Sombra admitted.
"You did what?! To who?!" Celestia yelled in anger.
Solly pushed the door open with her flank and pulled the victim in. Celestia looked at the body and then back at the killers. She sighed and fired up a bolt of magic.
"So every pony forgot about our rampage?"
"Yes, it's been erased from their minds."
"What about the 'victim'. Are you going to revive him?"
"Luna no, he was so annoying. Being so snooty. We'll just lie to the reporters and make a fake story about it."
-Even Later-
Luna giggled as she read the newspaper aloud.
"Okay, okay. Here it is. Prince Blueblood was found in his tub, dead. He has seemed to have overdosed on some unknown Neigh-Cotics. He will be deeply missed. Princess Celestia has said a few words about this tragic loss. She says, 'It truly troubles Luna and I that we have lost out dear nephew. He is in a better place. And citizens, we have a new guest in the palace, and there is no reason to fear him. Sombra has returned, and is staying with us for a while.' This is all the news we have gathered so far."

Celestia laid on her bed, sleeping peacefully. Luna was watching from her balcony, as well as Nightmare Moon, the two still plotting to be the Rulers of Equestria someday. They looked at the moon and stars, admiring their own hoof work. Luna checked the clock and sighed. Celestia was going to be late for raising the sun. Nighty disagreed with the idea saying-
"Eternal Night?"
"But that'd be such a cheap shot. We'd have to win it fair and square. Even then, Tia is my big sister. Maybe she was right. You're a bad influence on me." Luna stated bluntly and trotted away, leaving Nighty in awe.
Luna started to gallop as the time for the sun to rise came closer and closer. She was at a full run when she got to Celestia's room, panting heavily, worried that Nightmare would get ideas.
"Tia! Tia Tia Tia! Tia Tia!" Luna yelled into her ear, booping her on the nose as well. "Get up, get up, get up! Get! Up!"
"Sister, why don't you handle the sun today? I'm a bit tired still." Celestia murmured as her sister continued booping her on the nose.
"But Tia- Fine! I will!" Luna shouted, a little angry that Celestia was being so lazy.
Luna went out onto the balcony and cracked her neck and hooves. She was used to raising the moon, but the sun was a different story. She connected with the moon, like they were sisters. The sun was just so... different. Nevertheless Luna tried. She flew up and raised the sun, bringing it into the air, stopping the beauty of the night. But, as she raised the sun and saw some sad faces and happy faces, she realized something. Some ponies loved her moon and stars. And some disliked the sun! She realized the rewarding feeling of seeing ponies smile at the sun and at her, especially.
"You should stop being so lazy, Tia!" Luna said as she trotted out of the room and back to hers to relax; the sun was bigger and thus required more magic and energy.
From her bed, Celestia smiled. She loved seeing Luna raise the sun; she raised it in such a way that made her jealous of her and her moon. She felt the jealousy in her heart and quickly banished the feeling, knowing that Solly would soon appear to annoy her for it.
"So, Tia! I felt that you were jealous!" Solar Flare cackled from around the corner.
"Yes, I suppose I was. Maybe... Maybe that's how Luna felt when I... when I sent her to that prison. I was such a horrid pony. I hope she knows I'm sorry."
"Then maybe you should know she is very sorry for how she acted, as well as Nighty. You didn't hear it from me." Solar Flare said, a feeling of tears developing in her eyes. "I'm going to my room."
Celestia walked down the halls slowly, thinking every step of the way. She finally reached the door she was searching for, the one as dark as the night, but as warm as the light on a summer day. She knocked on the door, then entered upon the door opening for her.
"Yes, Tia?"
"Sister, do you-" Celestia held her mouth to stop her voice from cracking. "Do you remember my Lullaby? And... and how sorry I was?"
Luna stared at her for some time, a hard expression on her face. She thought a moment and realized what Celestia had done for her no more than ten minutes ago. "You know, sister? I think I may need to hear it once more... it's been so long."
Celestia smiled and wiped a tear away, then began to sing.
"Fate has been cruel and order unkind
But into the stillness I'll bring you a song
Once did a pony who shone like the sun
So great was her reign and so brilliant her glory
Lullay moon princess, goodnight sister mine
Carry the peace and the coolness of night
Soon did that pony take notice that others
But such is the way of the limelight, it sweetly
Lullay moon princess, goodnight sister mine

The years now before us
May these thousand winters
May all your dreams be sweet tonight
"Do you remember my reply?"
"I think I might... need a refresher, dear sister." Celestia smiled.
"How my deeds pain me as time stretches long
But into that stillness you brought me your song
Once did a pony who gleamed like the moon
So great was her pain, she rose in rebellion
Lullay, dear Tia, good night sister mine
Soon did her sister do what was demanded
Such is the weight of the crown that we wear, sister,

The space now before us, empty and forlorn
May all your dreams be sweet tonight
The two sisters sat in the blue alicorn's room, singing in harmony, happy and content.

8: Princess Celestia's Day Off
"Tia! Discord is being annoying!"
"Well, if she hadn't insulted my face I wouldn't be bugging her, now would I?"
"Celestia, make them stop fighting!"
"Celestia! Sombra is being annoying as well!"
"He ruined my plans! And just when I thought my dreams would become reality! Drat."
"What were your plans? Eternal Light? Ha! Been there, done that." Luna's voice echoed.
"Sh-Shut up, Luna. If there was Eternal Light, then ponies would never be cold! And I'd be a Goddess in their eyes!"
"You already are."
"Please, just let me have this."
"Okay, okay, you whiny foals. Why can't you be quiet?!" Celestia kicked down the kitchen door. "Can I have just one day of peace? One?!"
"Oh, but my dear Celestia, we are being quite fancy here," Discord commented after changing the chairs into fancy ones, and putting every pony in a monocle, top hat, and mustache.
"You wanna go to the moon?"
"Why-I-mean-but-I am going to be quiet now." Discord stuttered.
Celestia looked to the other ponies in the room; they had their heads on the table, looking up at her, frightened. Celestia then walked out of the room and to the Royal Spa; it was her day off after all.
"Luna's in charge!" Celestia called.
"Huzzah! Now, every pony listens to me, or I send you to the sun! Ha!" Luna cackled.
"Hold me, Nightmare, I'm scared!" Discord jumped into Nightmare's hooves, which she immediately dropped him on his bum.
"Don't touch me." Nightmare growled.
"Well then," Luna interuppted.
"I can see this'll turn out horribly. I think I'm going to go do my paperwork for today, Princess." Chrysalis spat.
Sombra, Discord, Nightmare, and Solly all looked at one another.
"I am going to go with Chrysalis, see if she needs any help, and maybe I'll do my paperwork too..." Sombra said before galloping after Chrysalis.
"I think we should make a Solar Eclipse!" Nighty said, waving her fore hooves frantically.
"No, one is not scheduled until next month." Princess Luna stated regally.
"What-but-and-then-and-but-what?!" Nighty yelled.
"I am the acting 'Queen' of this Kingdom for the day, so I shall follow the royal rules. And I will also enforce them. Let's see, list of Royal Duties to do today..." Luna stated flatly, examining a scroll. "Solar Flare, be a dear and make me some tea?"
Solar Flare growled but went and made some tea, making it extra hot. "Now throw it in Discord's face, please."
Solar Flare happily threw the liquid right into the draconeequs' eyes. He recoiled in pain and let out screams, only to be muffled by Nightmare Moon. She petted his mane and cooed in his ear.
"Shhh, it's okay. We'll take good care of you, Discord," Nighty said, staring off into space and giving a crazy smile, terrifying the poor creature.
"I feel so violated. I'm going to go to my room to... sulk for a few hours," Discord said, teleporting to his room. He sat in a giant orange chair, chaos scattered throughout the space, and his neck was bent over, as he looked like a fish hook upside down. He let out a sigh as he sipped his tea from the cup without gravity's consent.
"Okay, Nighty, Solly, we are going to show Celestia that we are mature Goddesses. Think you can handle to be good for three hours?" Luna asked in all seriousness.
Nighty and Solly sighed in unison and asked, "What are you going to make us do?"
Luna brought her hooves together and smiled devilishly. "Nothing humiliating."
[Twenty Minutes Later]
"How in Equestria is this not humiliating?!" Nightmare yelled to Luna.
"Just do it!" Luna yelled back from the audience of the darkened theater.
Nightmare Moon walked out from stage left in a frilly pink dress, spouting, "Oh, Solly, my Solly, where art thou, my Solly?" She spoke without meaning and mechanically, making Luna's brow furrow.
"Cut!" Discord said, appearing in a director's uniform. "Listen, Luna, baby, I'll get everything played out just the way you want."
"Get your paw off of me and you have a deal, sir." Luna spoke, deadpanning.
Discord disappeared and reappeared above the stage, magical strings attached to sticks. He magically tied them to Nighty and Solly, and in his best acting voice he yelled, "Solar Flare and Nightmare Moon in: Romeo and Juliet!"
Nightmare walked out, dressed in a gorgeous dark blue dress, her hair done up in braids. He winked down at her and she smiled her best smile, before saying in her most eloquent voice: "Oh, Solar Flare, my Solar Flare, where art thou, my Solar Flare?" Discord added a fore hoof to her forehead for affect.
"Why, my Princess of the Night, I am here! Solar Flare, Princess of Light is here!" Solar Flare yelled, rushing in stage right.
"Cut!" Luna yelled, holding her stomach as she laughed. "Ohoho, that was rich!"
"I do like this new gown, thank you, Discord, dear." Nightmare stated, flashing her dress around.
"I want one too! I have to have a look for when I become Queen of Lights Berg." Flare said, an identical dress in red appearing on her body. She made a squee noise and she and Nightmare bounced off to play in the Royal Gardens.
"Discord~!" Luna sing-song-ed.
"No." He responded.
"Oh Discord~!" She replied.
"Celestia, please, no, Luna." Discord face palmed.
"Discord likes Nightmare! Discord likes Nightmare!" Luna danced around the Chaotic God chanting the same thing over and over, laughing.
"I'm going to my room for some pleasant chaos." Discord pouted, teleporting away.
Luna jumped to her hooves and trotted to the throne room, smiling happily.
[Four and a Half Hours Later]
"Ah, nice and fresh. I hope they- Oh Luna, they did." Celestia face-hoofed.
Discord let chaos reign throughout the halls, Nightmare flooding some and Flare burning many blank scrolls just for fun, and in the middle Luna sat, staring at a piece of paper, ear and eye twitching. Chrysalis and Sombra looked to Celestia and sighed.
Celestia forced the Chaos out of the castle, repairing everything it had destroyed, and sending Discord to his room for Fifteen Minutes of No Discord. She emptied the halls of water and let the few scrolls burn, then sent Nightmare Moon and Solar Flare to their rooms like they were fillies. They took advantage of Luna's weakness, but her big sister ruled with an iron hoof, but kind heart. Most of the time. Chrysalis and Sombra chatted as they trotted back to the Dungeon, talking about getting things like crystals and an empire.
Celestia ignored them and continued to the throne room where Luna sat, crying and reading the paper over and over again. Celestia peeked over her shoulder and read the scroll.
'We want Sun Butt back, not Moon Butt!' It read.
"Sister, am I really that bad of a leader?" Luna asked, looking up at her big sister.
"No, Luna, you are a great leader," She stated, brushing her mane with her hoof. "In fact, the asshole who wrote this is going to the sun for a night."
"Who wrote it?" Luna asked, then face hoofed. "Damn you, Discord!"
Celestia suppressed a giggle and shot a bolt of magic down the halls, the yellow bolt springing from window to window, from glass to glass, eventually hitting Discord slap on the face. He cried as he was sent to the sun, yelling:
"I will be back, Sun Butt! And I'll get my revenge!" With that, and the shaking of a claw, Luna and Celestia went to bed.
Luna sighed as she gently awoke, putting on her horseshoes and chest plate, along with her tiara. Luna smiled in the mirror as she brushed her ethereal mane, using her magic to put it up in a braid. She opened her closet, filing her hoof against the clothes inside, searching for her perfect dress. She smiled happily as she found it, immediately putting it on.
Nightmare Moon yawned, opening her draconic eyes. She smiled as she thought of what day it was, and jumped into her standard armor, except she had it especially polished for this day. She thought of what she'd do with her mane and a dress, and immediately shot a bolt of magic at herself.
[Later That Day]
"Oh, Luna, you look so lovely tonight!" Celestia exclaimed from her gilded Throne, smiling at her dress.
"Thank you, dear sister, I'm glad you like it!" Luna replied happily.
"And Nightmare Moon, your look is very classical, I just adore it!" Solar Flare shouted from her smaller golden throne, giving her toothy grin.
"Thank you, dear friend!" Nightmare exclaimed.
Nightmare Moon and Princess Luna walked into the Court Yard for the Eclipse of the Season. The ponies in the crowd gathered quickly, as to get a good seat. Princess Celestia and Solar Flare walked out regally, their noses in the air. They stopped in the middle of the raised platform, and looked down on their ponies.
"You must all be wondering why the Sun is still in the air at such a late hour." Princess Celestia announced, before Nightmare Moon and Princess Luna strode out from the right side, muzzles in the air.
Four stations stood, one with a sun, one with a sun on the horizon, one with a moon, and one with a moon on the horizon. The royal ponies took their places, both dresses on the Night Goddesses shining beautifully. Luna's was a fabric softer than silk, with a diamond encrusted neck and hip, three bright midnight gems on each side. She wore the same Chest Plate, Tiara, and Horseshoes as she always did, her hair braided in the loveliest of ways.
Nightmare Moon had her usual armor on, and a midnight blue ethereal dress flew from her Chest Plate. It had three layers, each getting darker the further you looked down the gown. Her mane was no longer ethereal, and was a dark blue, tied loosely at the end, yet her mane still managed to wave in the non-existent wind.
Princess Celestia and the soon-to-be-Princess Solar Flare Rose up in the sky, using their magic to force the sun to go down for the night. Princess Luna and Nightmare Moon rose up as the sun gradually went down, and covered the sun with their moon for the Eclipse of the Season.
It lasted for five minutes, and finally, the moon stood high in the sky, and the sun shone on the other sides of Equestria. Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, and Solar Flare walked over to Nightmare Moon, and put their horns on each side of her shoulders, switching.
"I here by dub thee, Princess Nightmare Moon." Princess Celestia stated, smiling gently.
"I here by dub thee, Princess Nightmare Moon, Princess of the Night!" Princess Luna announced.
Solar Flare couldn't wait for Summer to come; then she'd be a Princess too! The four Royals walked back into the Castle after meeting and greeting the ponies, and a few cooks ran away from the kitchen, clearly in distress. They looked to each other and galloped to the kitchen, looking inside with disgust.
Sombra lay unconscious on the floor, seemingly beaten to death with an apple, the green fruit on his curved, red tinted horn. Chrysalis was fighting with Discord over a peanut butter jelly sandwich, Chrysalis' green magic holding on for dear life. Discord's claws and talons were dug into the sandwich, both pulling on each end.
"Give Frank back!" Discord yelled.
"Stop naming my sandwich Frank!" Chrysalis yelled.
"I'm the one who made the sandwich." Sombra said with his last breath before dying, waiting to come back from the pits of Hell.
"And then I beat you to death with an apple, see what happens? I saw the sandwich and I want it." Chrysalis stated.
"But you don't even eat food ! You eat love!" Discord whined.
"But no pony ever gives me enough love around here! Oh crap, it's Celestia, you can have it!" Chrysalis yelled suddenly, teleporting herself and Sombra's dead body to the Dungeon.
Discord sat and ate the sandwich, then had a lovely trip to see Grimm Reaper, after Celestia beat him to death with a pan.
Author's Note
Grimm Reaper is my own OC, who guards the Underworld and reaps Ponies lives. Unfortunately for her, she has to take the Royals' souls back every time they die, since they're immortal. So, every time they die, Grimm has the task to take their soul back with magic.
And no, I'm not copying Equestria's Crazies, but this story was inspired by that one. I try to make them as different and weird as I can, so I'm sorry if this seems like a copy, but really, it's not. It's just an excuse for me to write funny stuff and serious stuff in one chapter.... :)
Sombra trotted into the kitchen, ordering a crystal peanut butter jelly sandwich. He sat on the stool and waved to the passing ponies, coming off as very friendly. He eventually started to play with his hooves, still waiting for his sandwich. Sombra's ear perks up as he hears his name being called.
"King Sombra!" A chef called, holding out a plate with a crystal peanut butter jelly sandwich.
"That's me!" King Sombra uttered in a deep voice, galloping to the plate. He picked it up in his black magical hold, and trotted back to an open table, setting the plate down nicely.
He used his magic to make a tablecloth appear, along with two candles and his sandwich, along with a full set of forks, knives, and spoons. He dimmed the light above the table and looked at the sandwich in pure happiness. In pure happiness, the purest there was. Until Chrysalis' green magic surrounded it and she levitated it to her mouth, but Sombra fought back.
"I ordered! Get your own, Chrysalis!" King Sombra yelled, pulling the sandwich in his magic.
"Yes, but no pony is feeding me affection. You're the only one who really feeds me any affection and this serves as our bond. How about that?" Chrysalis asked is her melodic doubled voice. She batted her Changeling eye lashes for impact.
"But-but-but-but I made that sandwich! Chrissy!" King Sombra plead.
"But I'm starving to near death," Chrysalis argued. "I'll give you cuddles later in the Dungeon if I can have this sandwich."
"But it's special to me, it has crystals in it..." Sombra plead. "I guess I can get another one later. You can repay me in cuddles later tonight I suppose."
"I'm sorry, love, but just to be sure," Chrysalis said as she beat her colt friend violently with a green apple. She lifted the sandwich to her mouth, but was stopped by Discord's ugly face.
"Mine!" He yelled, swiping the sandwich and running away quickly.
"I killed my colt friend for that sandwich!" Chrissy yelled as she chased the mash.
"Another reason to take it, my dear!" Discord tripped and the green apple got impaled on his horn. "That's gonna be hard to explain."
"Give it here!" Chrissy swiped the sandwich in her magic.
"Give Frank back!" Discord yelled.
"Stop naming my sandwich Frank!" Chrysalis yelled.
"I'm the one who made the sandwich." Sombra said with his last breath before dying, waiting to come back from the pits of Hell.
"And then I beat you to death with an apple, see what happens? I saw the sandwich and I wanted it." Chrysalis stated. "Plus I'll give you extra extra cuddles."
"But you don't even eat food! You eat love!" Discord whined.
"But no pony ever gives me enough love around here! Oh crap, it's Celestia, you can have it!" Chrysalis yelled suddenly, teleporting herself and Sombra's dead body to the Dungeon.
Discord sat and ate the sandwich, then had a lovely trip to see Grimm Reaper, after Celestia beat him to death with a pan.
"And that, my dear Sombra, is what happened while you were dead." Chrissy said as Sombra ran a hoof through her mane, rubbing her carapace.
Chrissy purred in response, making clicks and chirps. "Oh, so my Chrissy likes her chitin rubbed?"
Chrysalis laid down, making more chirps. "Yeah, it feels like Changeling Heaven. I'd take you there with me, too."
"Those chirps are kinda cute." Sombra stated, still firmly rubbing her carapace.
"Well I'll be sure to give my Blackberry Smoothie some extra chirps tonight." Chrysalis replied as she magically blew out the candles in the room.
11: Discord's Reign of Failure
Princess Celestia sighed as she looked at Discord. Passed out in the hallway, blocking the hallway. The Princess of the Sun lifted up a hoof, then proceeded to prod at Discord's face. She made such an unprincess like face as she touched his skin with her Royal Hooves.
"Ugh." She muttered, wrinkling her nose in disgust. Celestia sighed as she spoke. "Discord, it's time to get up! Why are you in the hallway?"
Discord groaned and rubbed his head, looking up at the princess. "Because I felt like it. Because I am a FAILURE !"
"Oh, no, no, no! You're Discord! You're the God of Chaos! How can you be a failure?" Especially when you were born one? Princess Celestia thought.
In a snap of his talons, Celestia was sitting in a therapist's chair with a notebook and quill, Discord on a large lounge chair, laying down and sighing. "It all began earlier today."
[Fifteen Minutes Prior]
Discord laughed chaotically as the pony servants ran in fear. The blender and toaster were fighting, and the silverware was dancing to a nonexistent melody. The oven was singeing the manes and tails of those that got too close, and the fridge was eating up ponies who ran towards it.
"Discord!" Princess Luna yelled. She shot random bolts of magic at his chaos, making it cease, five of the chefs falling out of the fridge. "What on Equestria do you think you're doing ?!"
"Don't yell at me, yell at... um, what's your name again?" Discord asked a chef who shuddered under his touch.
"M-My n-n-name i-is Frozen Fresh, sir." She cowered as he picked her up in his paw and claws.
"Blame Frilly Fresh here, she got my order wrong and gave me Southern Style French Fries. I asked for Western . I decided to have a little rebellion." Discord said, tossing the earth pony aside.
"I'm so sorry!" She cried, running away to safety behind Princess Luna.
Luna sighed. "Do I need to get Nighty in here?"
"Oh good Celestia, I'm so scared."
Luna face hoofed and called. "Nightmare Moon~! Some pony is being annoying and wants to have 1000 years of nightmares!"
Instantly, Nightmare Moon appeared and cackled. "Who? Who who who?" She bounced in place, eager to give some pony nightmares.
Luna pointed her hoof at Discord and whispered into her ear. "Give him the full package of pain. Make him uncomfortable at all costs."
"That can be arranged," Nightmare flicked her forked tongue out and smiled.
"Oh, some nightmares, I'm so very scared!" Discord laughed.
Nightmare touched her horn to his antler and his eyes instantly closed.
[In Discord's Nightmare]
"Well this isn't so bad," A feminine voice said. "Wait a minute."
"Welcome to the first seconds of your thousand years of nightmares! Ahaha!" Nightmare Moon cackled from a storm cloud.
"What have you done to me?!" Discord yelled, looking at his feminine body. "What have you done?!"
"I've swapped your genders with another universe's you. You are no longer Discord, God of Chaos, you are Eris, Goddess of Chaos!" Nightmare yelled, gently flapping her wings, descending from her cloud.
"It's not too bad, I guess." 'Eris' said.
"Well, how about some snakes, scorpions, and spiders?" Nightmare asked, summoning the three animals by the hundreds.
"Ew, no, no! It stings! Why, Nightmare, why?" Discord yelled as he was swapped back to his own gender.
"Because Princess Luna asked me, Princess Nightmare Moon, to give you nightmares for a thousand years. Or you could apologize." Nightmare said, tapping her hoof on her lip.
"Never would I ever apologize for something as silly as that!" Discord yelled as the snakes and scorpions bit him, the spiders crawling all over his body.
"Then you'll have nightmares for another thousand years." Nightmare stated simply, stamping her hoof for effect.
[Five Minutes Later]
"Fine, ugh, I am sorry, Princess Nightmare Moon, Frozen Fresh, Princess Luna, and all other chefs and patrons in the castle." Discord apologized reluctantly.
"Good draqoneequs!" Nightmare Moon clapped her hooves. "Now, you have to listen carefully, okay?"
"Yes?" Discord sighed.
"You have to do the can-can upside down for two minutes straight." Nightmare smiled.
"I'll try," Discord said, starting the dance.
Discord danced into the hall as he was instructed by the princess. In a zap of dark blue magic, Discord passed out, returning to his time in his nightmares.
[Present]
"And that was my day, doc. Whaddaya say, will I live?" Discord asked.
"I'm afraid to say that you," Princess Celestia said, pulling down her therapist's glasses down her muzzle. "are an idiot."
Celestia teleported to her throne room to continue her day, while Nightmare Moon terrorized Discord's mind as he fell back asleep.
12: Nightmare Moon's Romantic Life
Discord sneered as he opened one of his favorite books: Princess Nightmare Moon's Diary. Few knew about its existence, those few being Luna, Celestia, Discord, and Nightmare herself. Discord licked his talon and flipped to the next page of the book. His eyes scanned across the pages quickly, catching every detail and every word. His features slowly began to change from a devilish smile to a confused frown.
He shook his head and quickly blinked his eyes quickly, re-scanning the page. He scribbled something down on the paper and folded the page. He frowned and took the book, re-locking it and taking the key with him. He walked around the castle, not paying any attention to where he was headed. His legs were on auto pilot while his mind flooded with questions. Why him? What did he do to deserve this? What was she going to think?
He kept on thinking until he hit her . He bumped into Princess Nightmare Moon . She smiled up sweetly at him until she noticed the book. Her happiness turned into anger, and she growled as she pulled him down to eye level by his horns. Discord flustered as he bumped muzzles with Nightmare, who just looked angry more than anything.
"What in Equestria are you doing with my Diary?!" Nightmare Moon demanded.
"I just..." Discord started, but couldn't force the words out of his throat. He tried to pull his head away, but her magic was keeping him glued eye level.
"Discord!" She yelled, swatting him on the head and swiping the diary.
She took the key from his talons and opened the book, to a folded page she hadn't remembered. She released him from her magic as she read on the paper, and started to blush. She looked up at Discord and smiled, tears coming to her eyes.
"You're an idiot." Nightmare Moon said flirtatiously, then procuring a wrought iron pan, proceeded to beat Discord to death with it. She dropped the bloodied pan on the ground and trotted away, tail and head in the air.
Nightmare Moon sat down on her bed and slid her Diary into its drawer, then sprawled out on the bed. She sighed and rolled off the bed, slowly getting up and trotting outside her midnight blue door. She walked to Discord's room and opened to see the God of Chaos crying in the middle of jumbles of chaos.
"Discord... are you okay?" Nightmare asked, the subtle chaos dying down at the sound of her voice.
"I never would'a guessed you liked me like that. Just... enjoying some lovely chaos." Discord said mechanically.
"Discord... I'm sorry for beating you to death with that pan. Would you like to have a chaotic tea party?" Nightmare asked, putting her hoof over Discord's talon.
"That'd be lovely." Discord said, the chaos stirring and a tea set floating on a non-existent table.
The couple sat and drank their chaotic tea in content, ending the date with a smooch on the cheek. Discord ran throughout the halls screaming as a blushing Princess Nightmare Moon chased after him with a wrought iron pan in her magic.
"Chrissy~~~!" King Sombra called from the plush, green bed. "What are you doing so early?"
"Sh!" Queen Chrysalis shushed him. "I'm going to play a prank on Princess Celestia."
"Won't she just send you to the moon?" Sombra asked, confused.
"I knew you'd get stuck there! Ha ha!" Chrysalis laughed. "See, I'm going to have to act stupid like Discord, and then he'll get in trouble! It's the perfect plan!"
"You're gonna have to get seriously stupid in a short amount of time." Sombra deadpanned.
The duo then burst out laughing. After rolling around in the dungeon floor, they slid over to Chrysalis' "Science-y Station". White lab coats and clear goggles suddenly on, they began picking up vile after vile of various fluids. They mixed them for some time, getting a little explosion each time. Suddenly, Sombra spoke up.
"What the buck are we doing?"
"Ha! See, if we make enough explosives with the right kind of these science fluids, we can prank Celestia!" Chrysalis laughed.
"But, if she finds this, won't she know it was you?" Sombra asked.
Chrysalis stopped laughing. She rubbed her chitin in thought. "Well... hmm. Aha!"
In a flash of green, Discord stood before Sombra, making him jump back. "What. The. Buck?!"
"See, I'll pretend to be Discord, and play the prank, and then I'll switch places with Discord by setting up a magical trap with cotton candy and chocolate milk and then I'll use magic!"
The duo walked up the many stairs, various explosive fluids in their magic and paw/claw. They trotted up the never ending stairs and then set up the trap: a cardboard box with cotton candy and chocolate milk with a stick and string.
"Discord!" Chrysalis yelled.
Discord appeared and looked left and right, they down. "Oh, what do we have here? Some pony left this for me!"
Discord reached for the food and drink, and Sombra pulled the string, Discord being sucked up into the box. "How is there that much space in that tiny thing?"
"I use magic, remember!"
"Oh yeah," Sombra pouted.
Chrysalis changed into Discord and ran to Celestia, Sombra behind her... him... yeah. She ran to Princess Celestia and threw a vial at her, but the Princess was unfazed and prepared.
"Chrysalis, how disappointing." Celestia spoke, puzzling the Changeling Queen. "Luna, get in here!"
Luna flew through the balcony and landed with the tink tank of her horseshoes on the stone. She looked at her elder sister and sighed. Luna looked at Chrysalis/Discord, and smiled, black flashing in her eyes.
"To the moon?" Luna asked in a doubled voice, that of Nightmare's and hers.
"Send it to the moon!" Celestia yelled, waving her hooves in the air and sending Chrysalis and Sombra to the moon.
On The Moon
"This was a stupid idea," Sombra pouted.
"I know it was a stupid idea, you told me that five hundred eighty times and fourteen hours ago! " Chrysalis roared. "It was a stupid idea.
In Canterlot Castle, Inside a Small and Large Box
"Hello? Any pony? Help a draqoneequs out? Hello?!" Discord yelled from his new prison.
3: What Happens In The Kitchen...
Nightmare, Solar, and Discord skipped down the halls in delight. They came to a stop at the Royal Kitchen and barged in, scaring every chef inside.
"Hungry~!" Discord sang out.
"I want some chocolate milk, and make it snappy!" Solly yelled at the chefs.
"You do not have to yell." A chef, Cuisine said angrily.
"Excuse me?!" Solly glared at the short comparison pony.
"Nothing, chocolate milk, coming up!"
"I want a cinnamon apple pie!" Nighty roared. A chef ran in response to the fridge and pantry and started baking.
"I want cotton candy, and make it full of extra chaos!"
"Yes sir!" Another chef saluted and ran for the cotton candy maker.
"We don't have to take orders from you. We take orders only from Celestia and Luna." The Head Chef, Creme Brûlée, yelled at the invaders.
"Is that so?"
"Yes, yes it is!" She yelled back.
"Discord, how about some chaos? And Nighty, how do you feel about Eternal Darkness In The Kitchen?"
Discord snapped his talons. "I just love some fresh chaos any time of the day!" He flew around on a cotton candy tornado and ate some of the pink fluff.
Nightmare Moon used her magic and put of the lights. "Ah, just so nice and dark! Ha ha ha ha!" She did her evil laugh.
"And, so no pony can escape this best room yet," Solly put up a magical barrier.
Solly squeezed a cotton candy cloud and drank the chocolate milk. She took a bite of the cotton candy and said, "Great job, Discord!"
"Why, thank you, my dear Solar Flare." Discord smiled.
"Can you make me an apple pie?" Nighty asked a chef angrily.
"Oh, let me!" Discord snapped his talons and a giant apple pie fell through the roof.
"Oh, Discord, you shouldn't have!"
"Oh, but I wanted to, darling!"
Nighty started to eat the pie and Solly joined in.
"What is going on in here?!" Luna yelled.
"Just eating some food..." Nighty said, her mouth stuffed full of pie.
Luna used her magic and the lights came back to life. The barrier fell and the ceiling was fixed. In another poof of blue violet magic, the food the Trio of Chaos was eating disappeared.
"Such a spoil sport!" Nighty yelled and vanished, most likely to her room.
"Clean it up."
"Okay, fine," Discord snapped his talons and the chefs clothes were fixed and machines repaired.
In a flash of red magic, Solly was gone, back to her burning room what was now dubbed The Room To Tartarus. With a snap of his talons, Discord disappeared and went to his room.
"I am sorry for all the trouble they caused. Now, could I get some apple pie?"
"Why of course, Princess Luna." Another chef said and ran off.
After a few minutes of waiting around, the chef brought Luna her pie.
"Thank you. And, Creme Brûlée?"
"Uh, yes, your highness?"
"Next time they cause trouble call me or Celestia, we'll handle it." Luna winked and trotted out of the kitchen.
13: Solar Flare's Initiation
"Ugh," Solar Flare said as she sat up. Rubble tumbled around her as she arose to her hooves. "Hello? Where am I? Any pony?"
"Hello, Solar Flare," Princess Celestia said, a spotlight shining on the Sun Goddess.
"Princess Celestia? Tia, what the buck?! Why does my head hurt?" Solar Flare asked as she rubbed her head.
"Welcome, Solar Flare," Princess Luna spoke, another spotlight shining on her from her perch beside her elder sister.
"Princess Luna?" Solar Flare asked.
"Happy to see you, Solar Flare." Princess Nightmare Moon laughed as the spotlight shown on her as well.
"What the buck is going on?!" Solar Flare yelled, flaring her wings.
"This is your initiation!" The three yelled, the lights revealing a Colosseum around her.
"W-What are you going to do to me?" Solar Flare asked.
"Isn't it obvious?" Nighty asked. "This is your... initiation!"
"What do I have to do?" Solar asked.
The three princesses looked to one another and laughed among themselves. "Survive ."
The three long horns, yellow, blue, and dark blue magic mingled and mixed together, shooting a yellow-green bolt of energy to the center of the room. It was then that Solar Flare was assured of her surroundings. There were four corners, three balconies, and an orb in the center that glowed so bright, it burned her feathers as she tried to block the rays.
It suddenly died out and she looked around, various growls escaping the darkened corners. "Which corner will our possibly newest princess choose?" Luna asked.
"Might even be our newest, deadest princess, too!" Celestia laughed.
"You mares are insane!" Solar Flare yelled.
The three looked at each other and spoke in unison. "Only a little."
Solar Flare looked around the room and listened. One corner held a Manticore, the second a Siren-Pony. The third corner had a Timber Wolf in it, and the last had a Windigo prowling in the darkness. She walked to the third corner, and light illuminated it, revealing a large Timber Wolf.
"Defeat it, and you shall become a princess, Solly!" Nighty yelled, laughing.
[Two Days Later]
"Oh my Celestia! What the hell happened to you?!" Discord asked, Princess Solar Flare wrapped in various bandages and in a wheelchair.
"Well, Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, and Princess Nightmare Moon gave me an initiation." Solar Flare ground her teeth.
"Oh, you mean the Manticore-Siren-Pony-Timber Wolf-Windigo room? That was you ?" Discord burst out laughing.
"Just because I look crippled, doesn't mean I won't tear your limbs off, Discord." Solar Flare yelled, shoot bolts of red magic at the Chaos God.
"B-But, it was s-so funny!" Discord laughed as he ran down the halls on fire.
Celestia, Luna, and Nightmare Moon, and Solar Flare narrowed their eyes and put on some sunglasses. "Looks like he... was hot on our track."
*Que the epic music*
"Down with the tyrant! Down with Celestia!" Sombra yelled outside of Princess Celestia's room.
A few guards looked at him sideways as he ranted.
"That colt is rather strange," A Pegasus mare commented.
"No argument there." A Unicorn stallion agreed.
"Should we do something about this?" The mare asked.
"I... don't know, to be honest." The stallion replied. "I think the Princess can handle him."
"20 bits says he goes to the moon."
"35 bits says he faces her head on."
"Deal," The duo said, spitting on their hooves and bumping them together.
In a matter of seconds, Princess Celestia threw the door open, growling. "Sombra, it's 4 in the morning! What in my name are you doing?!"
"Down with the... tyrant?" He ended up asking, ears splayed back.
Celestia threw her alarm clock at him and turned to her guards, who saluted her. "Princess?"
"Could you please have Doctor Whooves build me a new clock? That one's broken." The Sun Goddess said, yawning and walking back to bed.
"Pay up, Light Feather." The stallion grinned.
"Fine," Light Feather growled, handing him 25 bits as a compromise. "Next time you want to bet, you better watch your step, Night Light."
"Thanks,"
"I think we should get paid more."
"I agree."
Princess Celestia fell asleep in her room while Luna was being verbally assaulted by the same tyrannical overlord . She stood outside her room and looked at him lazily, as she was about to lower the moon for her sister to raise the sun. Two Bat Pony Guards, both female, watched on as the two exchanged words.
"What do you want, Sombra?" Luna asked.
"Down with the tyrants! Down with you!" Sombra yelled.
"That's not a good reason to be here at 4 a.m., Sombra." Luna replied.
"But... why... no fair! You get to raise the moon and Celestia raises the sun! I do absolutely nothing!" Sombra whined.
"15 bits says she sends him to the dungeon." Gleaming Glare whispered.
"15 bits says she knocks him unconscious." Whisper Tones replied.
They nodded and watched on as their Princess and the Dark King fought.
"You ruled the Crystal Empire for a thousand years!"
"I want more!"
"You always want more!"
"Of course I do!"
"You're greedy!"
"You're a cow!"
In a flash of blue magic, Sombra was unconscious and in the dungeon with Queen Chrysalis. Glare and Tone looked at each other, confused, as their Princess of the Night went back into her chambers.
"What just happened?"
"I think we both lost the bet."
"Oh... what? Wait... what?"
-In The Dungeon-
Chrysalis sat on her bed, rolling around, thinking of what to do, when Sombra landed on her. She kicked him off and put him on the bed, narrowing her eyes and watching him sleep. When Sombra came to, Chrysalis was still staring... after four hours.
"What are you doing?"
"Watching you sleep."
"Why?"
"Why not?"
