//-------------------------------------------------------// Heaven's Hung in black (Working Tilte) -by The Drifting Bard- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue "That is why we pass judgement on you now!" The thundering voice of the Timeless tribune echoed throughout the kingdom. "have you anything to say before we cast thee out?" The dark winged angel kept silent, knowing that no matter what is said, it would not change a thing. "For your crimes against all that is holy, thy sentence is exile to a random location for the rest of your mortality" The angel blinked as the hand of god simply launched a sole finger, sending the angel flying through the walls. As the angel crashed down from the heavens He could only wonder what world he would end up, but then again... anything was better than what he had just left. His home-world was filled with bigots, racists and homophobes. Soon he hit terminal velocity, his wings engulfed in flame. His face contorted into a painful grimace. But this was only the beginning. The ashen colored wings soon returned to their original state as he entered the atmosphere of a blue planet. It had a sun and a moon, and it was good enough for him. A small jaunty little tune was being hummed by a somewhat small, somewhat scaled figure. "hey, Do we still have those emeralds I saved last week?" A slightly rough voice asked. He waited for a reply but there was no answer. As the strange figure scrambled his way up the stairs, He could only grumble. "Damn it Twilight... you better not be studying again" He carefully knocked on the door, hearing a small whimper and a quite "J-just a minute Spike" He then took notice of the small buzzing sound. "Relax, It's not like I'm a kid any more," He chuckled. "but seriously what did you do with those emeralds I was saving last week" There was no answer. "well?" Twilight, opened the door slightly as she looked at the young dragon. "I... used them in one of my experiments" She gave a very flustered, sheepish smile. Spike simply face palmed, before the smell of something pervaded the air. "I won't even ask what that smell is" He chuckled to himself. Having grown up a bit over the years, the young dragon was by no means, ignorant. Out of the corner of his eye, He could see what he thought was a shooting star. "Uh Twilight? is that normal?" He asked as he pointed it out to her. As she whips her head around to look, He could still hear the buzzing. However that was soon overlooked as what was thought as a shooting star soon hit the ground with a thunderous roar. Twilight turned to look at Spike with worry. "definitely not normal" "You might want to turn that off before getting into a rush" Spike deadpanned, noticing an embarrassed blush sweep across his Sister's face. Having Crash landed in an Unknown location, The angel tried to stand. Wincing as he did so. As he swore to himself in Latin, He started hearing voices. He attempted to fly, but to no avail. Mortality had set in. he looked at his wings, and within seconds of self-diagnosis... He confirmed that they were broken. He had only two options, but they were soon ruled down to one as a silhouette of a woman and significantly shorter male appeared in his already fading vision. The angel collapsed to the floor, lying face down on the dirt. With no other options, he summarized that he would be dissected for science. Either that or stuffed and put on display as a treasure for a fan of taxidermy. He felt himself being lifted onto something. hearing a muffled voice shout "Careful of it's wings". as he laid there on the stretcher, He could only think about where on earth he was, If this was even earth. Finding himself fading into unconsciousness, he let his head drop to the stretcher pillow. Twilight felt thankful that Spike had arrived at the hospital in time. She got into the back of the ambulance with the strange creature, and before long noticed that there was hardly any fur on his body save for his head. She took in the sight of dark red on black, but soon put the dark red down to dried blood. she took a few notes here and there on the creature's appearance, then took hold of a feather, surely one wouldn't go amiss she thought to herself. Plucking the feather and silently apologizing, she placed her notes and sample into her bag. Soon after, she began to wonder what exactly this creature was. It was clearly not of equine nature. Diamond dog perhaps? No, they weren't known to sprout wings and lose their fur. Twilight then sighed. "well, What ever you are, we'll soon have our answers". She glanced at the strange being she heard a grunt. "Ubi sum?" He uttered as he tried to get up. He then heard the voice. Twilight looked shocked, it spoke, but in an old, sort of dead, language. She proceed to try and communicate with the strange angel. "Tu in ambulance, wings...er... Fractis" she fumbles. "Scio, Pedicabo vita mea" He groans slightly, wincing in pain. He then raises his head to try and look at her... but fails. "What are you?" Twilight asks, not expecting an answer. "Lapsum angeli....It means Fallen angel" He speaks fluently now. Twilight's eyes widen in comprehension. "do you have a name?" The angel slowly shakes his head as a crispy burnt feather floats down. The angel slowly peers at it, grasping it in his cold, weathered, rough hands, and then finally settles on a name. "Ardens pluma.....thats my name...for now"
