It was the next day and Spike & Skyla were walking through the town trying to figure out what to do.

"Hey kid, want to go down to Sugarcube Corner? Your Auntie Pinkie Pie hasn't seen you yet, so I thought maybe we could have a welcome to Ponyville party for you kid!" Spike asked

"Ooh good idea!" She said, as she ran ahead, then came back. "Where's Sugarcube Corner?" She asked

Spike chucked bit, & led her to their location. As they walked towards their desired destination, the duo heard an enchanting tune, they were both drawn to it. They followed this beautiful sound till they were at a door. "Spike then knocked on the door. The door opened revealing Vinyl Scratch.

" 'Sup Spike! Hey, who's the kid?" She asked.

"This is Princess Skyla, I'm foalsitting just so you know! Anyway, we were on our way to Sugarcube Corner till we heard music from this direction! Who's playing that It's beautiful?" Spike asked

"Oh, that's just my roommate Tavi!"

"Can we see her miss Scratch?" Asked Skyla

"Sure, I don't see why not!"

Vinyl led Spike & Skyla to the room the song was coming from.

*Knock* *Knock*

"Who is it?" the receiving end of the door asked

"It's me Tavi! Your Cello playing attracted a dragon & a princess to our house and they want to meet yah!"

She then opened the door. Spike's heart beat wildly, because the mare before him was beautiful to his eyes! The mare in question had: Grayish Mulberry eyes, Her mane was a lighter tint of Dark Gray, and her coat was Goldish Grey, wore a pink bowtie with a white collar, even though he wasn't looking, her Cutiemark was a treble clef and finally she was an earth pony.

"Hi miss Tavi!" Greeted Skyla

"Well hello you 2, I'm Octavia Melody! Please don't call me Tavi, 2 ponies calling me that is quite enough!"

"Let me guess, the other pony calling you Tavi is Pinkie isn't it?" Spike asked

"Yes, now what is it that the both of you request? I have to practice for the Canterlot music appreciation festival next month."

"We want to compliment you on your music, it's amazing, no lie!" Spike replied

Octavia blushed, nopony has ever complimented Octavia on her music before besides Vinyl. Nopony except some citizens of Canterlot ever listen to classical music anymore! So this was a rare occurrence!

"Y-you really think my music is lovely?" She asked

"Yeah, and for a coincidence, I'll be joining the festival by Celestia's orders!"

"Really? What instrument will you be playing & what form of music?" She asked. She was kid of surprised hearing that Princess Celestia ordered him! Octavia just signed-up, no orders or anything, she willingly did it!

"All forms of piano music." Spike answered

"(He must be really talented to have all forms of music!)" She thought.

Octavia stared at Spike for about 3 minutes.

"Well, guess we better get going kid! Bye Octavia." said Spike

"Bye-bye miss Melody!" said Skyla!

"Wait, what's your name ?" She asked

"I'm Spike the Dragon, #1 assistant to Princess Twilight Sparkle."

"Your the assistant to a P-princess? (Amazing, he's important, & I just made an awkward 1st impression on him!)"

"Yep, now I'll see yah later!"

"Wait, would you like t-to come over tomorrow for a practice session with me?" She asked

"I don't know, I gotta watch Skyla! So kid, you want to comeback here tomorrow?"

"Yeah! I love listening to Miss Melody's wonderful music!" She answered.

"Alright, see yah girls tomorrow!" Said Spike, walking down the stairs

"Bye Spike!" Said Vinyl, who closed the door after they left.

Octavia looked out the window, she ha no idea what was going on with her, she silently stared out the window till Vinyl said...

"Woah, your crushing on Ponyville's only dragon?"

"How did you know?" Octavia asked in shock!

"Come-on, we've been BFF's since kindergarten, I know you!"

"Well, your right, I have fallen had over heels for him!"

"Don't worry, I'll help you out win his affections. After all, I signed up for the festival as well!"

"Thanks Vinyl, your always a good friend!"

"And don't you forget it pal!" Vinyl said, giving Octavia a hug.
