Snap is an intelligent, well organized unicorn. She is careful, methodical and desires to leave her mark on the world. In attempting to do so Snap runs across a magical force from the Crystal Empire that shows her images of an other reality.

Upon returning home Snap seems to have trouble getting her friends' names right. She begins referring to things that nopony has heard of and having flashbacks to a war with giants that nopony remembers.

Snap desperately tries to maintain her grip on reality but when she can no longer trust herself she will need to rely on her friends.
