The New Guy

chapter one

-----crystal empire-----

Twilight had just returned from the alternate world after her crown, the element of magic, was stolen from her by sunset shimmer but she was able to meet alternate versions of her friends as well and bring them back together after sunset broke them apart. twilight was also able to defeat her when she turned into that... THING... she meet a guy named flash sentry whom she ended up really liking...

Anyway back on track Twilight had just returned from the other world in success of having defeated sunset shimmer’s attempt to take over Equestria. she was heading back to room with her friends, whose rooms also were near there, when she accidentally bumped into that royal guard again

“we got to stop bumping into each like this” the orange Pegasus with royal amour said. after her walked away a little bit Twilight asked

“who is that”

“oh he’s a new member of the castle guard, Flash Sentry i think. why do you know him?” princess cadence said and asked

“not exactly” she said quick to answer

“ooo Twilight’s got a crush on the new guy” Applejack clearly saw

“no, no i don’t”

“uuh she does she absolutely does” Rarity also said clearly noticing

“don't be ridiculous i don't even know him, he just-” she said getting cut off by pinkie pie

“totally reminds you of a guy you meet in the other world, who played guitar, was in a band, and helped prove you didn't destroy all the decorations for a big dance so you could still run for princess of the big dance and asked you to dance at that dance”

“how did you know that?” Twilight asked confused on how pinkie does what she does

“just a hunch” pinkie said with a large smile

“ok well i am beat so I'm going to bed goodnight girls” twilight said quickly and she closed the door to her room so her friends would stop pestering her about this guy of whom she did in fact have a crush on

“phew... now i can sleep”

“you know Twilight no sense in trying to hide who you like from your friends besides they can clearly tell” spike stated

“well then what should i do go talk to him? because you know i have never been with anypony” Twilight said. spike narrowed his eyes and smiled

“oh no why did i ask”

“come on Twilight just go and talk to him get to know him or tell him about what happened in the other world because it is still the Flash you know from the other world just here... in Equestria... as a pony”

“i suppose you're right spike but i just want to go to sleep right now”

“fair enough goodnight Twilight”

So they both went off to sleep... at least spike did anyway Twilight however could not. you guessed it she couldn't stop thinking about that guy Flash sentry and the one she met in the other world she really liked but she couldn't go back because it was closed but again she had some new feelings she had never experienced before like a new type of happiness that the two shared when they were close, a new kind of... no did she truly more than like she was dying to find out so she got up put on her crown and walked around hoping to bump into him again but first she wanted to see cadence for any advice.

-----Meanwhile patrolling the halls-----

"so you and the princess eh?"

"what are you talking about Blade"

"you know exactly what i’m talking about"

"no actually i don't" Flash said seriously

"Flash come on i know you like the princess"

"Blade i bumped into her so i helped her up, nothing more"

"oh well, shame you don't like her"

"what no i do... damn it, you win i do like her but don't tell nopony alright i'm new here and i would like to keep my reputation" Flash stated being serious

"you have my word lets just finish up our route and switch up shifts so i can sleep"

"agreed"

-----At Cadences bedroom-----

*knock *knock

Twilight now waited to see who would answer but surprisingly it was both of them

"hey Twily"

"hey Twilight"

"you both are still up?"

"yes i knew what was going on between you and your crush so i had a feeling you might come to me seeking guidance" Cadence said honestly

"she told me and convinced me to stay up" shining added

"wow thank you guys but can i come in just so no one hears"

"of course" the couple back up to let Twilight in

-----Meanwhile at the castle guard living quarters-----

"finally sleepy time" blade started

"i think im gonna take someponies shift, hey swift?"

"what?"

"you can go back to sleep i will take your shift"

"oh, much obliged my friend, Flash right?"

"yup you're welcome and thank you for not insisting i uh just can't sleep right now, still adjusting to new times i guess"

"no problem i lost some hours of sleep but thank you again"

"anytime"

"flash you serious-" Blade was cuff off with a hoof to the mouth

"don't say anything remember" he simply nodded in agreement

"ok im gonna go patrol now see ya later"

with that him the other guard taking Blade's shift went on their patrol routes only Flash was going to take a little detour

-----back at Cadences room-----

"so i guess i just have feelings for him"

"wait so let me get this straight there was a guy the same as him in this other world and you got feelings for him wow he must be a gentlemen"

"he is, he really is a really sweet guy" she started to blush at the thought of him"

"well i gave you my advice tell him how you feel unless he has something to say first" cadence finished

"oh thank you cadence and shining for you help i think i can sleep now" with that they all went into a group hug, Twilight said her good nights and headed back to her room for some sleep little did she know about the stallion waiting at her door
