I was at my locker, grabbing my books, when Jack and Monty walked up. "Dude, what are your plans after school?" Pressed Monty. "Uhh.... same as always" I said. "Get home, watch My Little Pony off the recorder, and sleep" I gave him a look like, 'you should know that.' "Well, Mike's scored a little booze if you're up for it" Stated Jack. Monty and Jack were only two of my five friends Jack was way smart, the dude zooomed through all his math classes, science classes, and reading classes like he was running through paper. As for Monty, he was way into track, he came in first place in every track race this season, he was a speed demon.
My last three pals are Micheal, Truman, and James. Mike was kinda in-kept, shy, and didn't talk much, but when he did talk, everone listened. Truman's father was a tailor, and was teaching him what he knew, so he was adept at making clothes. And James was just...... nuts. He once jumped from a fifteen foot cliff into a lake that we couldn't calculate the deepness in, in hindsight, he was overall bubbly and boicy, like he was always on a sugar rush. And last but not least, me. I am the biggest of all my friends, a whole foot taller than most of them. I had large, gorilla-like arms, and massive hands, I could bench press my teahcers, but i wasn't one of those chisled, god-like people, I was just strong.
Anyways, I nodded at them and turned back to my locker, grabbing the books for my first few classes, and the first bell rang. I headed to class. As i walked down the hallway, the principal stopped me. "A little late, arent we, Mr. Banoy?" He questioned. "Yeah" I replied slowly "had to grab books, and class is on the other side of the school" I excused. "That won't be accepted, now i'll let you off with a warning. Now get to class." I started to walk off to class, urning te corner. The hallways were empty, and i had it to myself. I started to whistle the My Little Pony theme song, my work boots clacking on the tiles. I turned into the class room, Mike sat next to me, and James sat behind me, I had the best luck.
As I took my eat a leaned back to James. "Hey, what'd i miss?" But before he could respond, the teacher cut in. "You're late, Bruce." "Yes ma'am, I was grabbing my books, this class is across the school." I said "That will not be excused" she replied. "Yes Ms. Finchley" I said. I once again turned to James, and asked "What'd I miss?" "well, she's going over pathagorean theorems again..." he whispered back "she's about to give us a quiz, but that's sooo boring" he was on a roll now. "So you heard about mike right? How he got the stuff? Where we're supposed to meet?" I put a large hand on his mouth, which pretty much took up his entire face. "Where are we meeting" I stated, it wasnt really a question, I was more or less demanding it. "Under the old wood soccer bleachers" he mumbled past my hand.
The second-hour bell rang, and I walked out of the class with James and Mike. "Alright so if i'm right it's under the bleachers?" "Yep that's right" said Mike. "Just be sure to be there, it'll be good." "You got it" I replied. Mike broke off for his second hour, and i was left with James. "AREN'T YOU JUST SO EXCITED!?!?!!?!?!??!" He almost screamed. The entire hallway turned to look at us. "Sorry!" I excused "he's just excited!" And we continued down the hall, meeting with Monty and Truman. "Sup" they said in unision.
Around the end of the day, I was wriggling in my seat, no longer able to hold my want for the alcahol Mike had. I stared at the clock. TICK TOCK TICK TOCK. I felt like it was taunting me, but then the ring of the end-day bell sounded, and a charged out of the class, ignoring the page numbers my teahcer called out to me. I made my way for the back entrance of the bulding, and pressed the steel door open, looking toward the soccer field. I was walking all casual-like, looking like i was just wlking through a short cut, as the hundreds of other students filed onto the buses. I sped up my pace a bit when i saw James waving both hands at me like a crazy person.
When I finally reached the bleachers James said "hi" and escorted me under. I walked toward Mike, Monty, Truman, and Jack. James almost bouncing next to me. "So, where is it?" I asked, and Mike pulled out a brown baggie, he removed two six packs. Two beers each. "Don't expect a good buzz" said Jack in that 'prove a point' tone. "Only four percent alcahol" "I don't care if it's one percent, beer is beer!" I argued. "I call first crack!" Said Monty, excitedly. None of us really wanted to argue, so silently, Monty threw him a beer, then threw the rest to us, taking the last one for himself. After monty cacked his beer, the rest of us did. "Cheers!" He called. Really? There wasn't even anything to cheer to but, hell, what'd I have to argue with? "Cheers i repeated, although no one else did, so me and Monty clanked beers.
In about twenty minutes, I was halfway through my second beer, when I heard a creaking above. No one was on the bleachers, but the support beam looked a little bent, as far as I knew, though, it could've been like that for fifty years. These things were ancient. I slammed the rest of my beer and crushed it, throwing it down. So, guys, what's the weekend plans?" I asked. Another creak, but I was being stubborn and ignored it. "Well" started James, when instead of a creak, there was a loud SNAP. I looked at the support beam, and it was broken. "RUN!!!" I screamed. But it was too late, the thing collapsed, and there was a white flash. I couldn't see or hear, I was sure I was dead.
My eyes shot open. I was staring at the sun, and I heard shuffling next to me. I was lieing in some grass, and sat up, looking around. My friends were around me, each one passed out. I looked down at the grass below us. It was green, but wied green. It seemed almost cartoony. I staggered to my feet, and tooe a long look around. And was suprised to see Twilight's library looming in front of me. My mouth dropped in suprise, a knocked on the front door. Awaiting the response, when Twilight's voice rang out. "Coming! Just a second!" I stood there... utterly dumbstruck at everything I was seeing. Which was so far, just the library, but, I was sure the rest of ponyville was behind me.
Twilight wrote to the princess as soon as she saw me, the rushed me in, running off to get het friends. I took the time while she was out to wake up my frinds for her, trying to figure this all out, we sat on her lawn, talking. "This isn't scientifically possible!" Yelled Jack, freaking out. "We have to calm down and figure this out" I stated, trying to keep them all under control. "I can't believe it!!!!!" Said James. "We're actually here! Here! In Equestria!!!" "Please" I pleaded. "Calm down, and think clear."
Rainbow Dash was the first one here, taking only five minutes. She stared at us confusingly, like we were bengs from another planet... forget I said that. "Hi" I started. I think everone else was just to mindblown to speak. "What..... are you?" She asked "well.... i'm... a human.... and... these are my friends. James, Monty, Jack, Mike, Truman, and i'm Bruce." I stated, pointing to each of us as I spoke. "H-h-holy cow.... you can speak our language" said Rainbow, shocked. "Yes, we can, but my friends and I didn't think you all exsisted..." I was trying to make this sound simple, but it only got worse. "What do you mean, you know who -and what- we are?" She asked, astonished. "Well, yeah.... you're Rainbow Dash, and your frinds are all Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, and Rarity." Rainbow's muzzle lay wide open, and i saw the other five approaching in the distance.
It took about three hours for my friends to snap back to reality, and for us all to explain how we knew who they all were. "So... let me get this straight" said Twilight, "on your world, we are like, a cartoon?" She cocked her head in confusion, like a dog. "Yep, pretty much it." I answered. The whole lot of them were still staring at us. I turned to Applejack. "It's so very nice to meet my favorite pony." I stated, looking at her admirably, and she blushed accordingly. I turned to my friends. Guys.... please..... get to know your ponified equals. "Wait a MINUTE" said Rainboe Dash. "No pony, or human, is MY equal." She protested. Mike walked up to her. "I've never lost a single track race in my entire life" he said.
All the talking and getting to know each other went on for hours, and I offered to help Applejack at the Acres. Which was a bit odd, to let a completely new form of living theng go to your place of buisness and be trusted. I chuckled at the fact that i refered to Sweet Apple Acres as "place of buisness." "Somethin' funny?" Asked Applejack, looking over to me. "A little personal thought" I said, continuing on the walk. When we stood at the opening of the Acres, she told me she needed the west field all done by sundown. I told her i'd do my best.
This apple-bucking buisness was easy, all I had to do was pick up a good loose branch, then give each tree a hard WHACK. And down fell the apples. "Yer' pretty good at this" she said "almost s' good as Big Macintosh." "I might as well be better" I said. "And why is that?" She asked. "Because these trees are only about four feet taller than me, I can climb them and get the top apples from the tree, instead of letting them rot." She realized this, and gave me a good look up and down. "By golly you're right, you could do it better, ohh, Big Mac'll be sorry to hear that one." She said, and we both shared a laugh.
By the end of the day, all the apples were down, and Applejack offered to let me stay in the barn for the night. "Thanks" I said, headed toward. "Applebloom'll be right out with a blanket!" She called after me. "Alright!" I replied. I guess that was my rent. Labor in order for a place to stay, seemed fair, although i was now quite sore from the repetitive slamming of the trees, I placed my branch against a bale of hay, awaiting the blankets. And surely enough, in a few minutes, Applebloom had brough me a blanket. "Here you go, mister" she said "sleep well" "I will, thanks" I said, patting her head, and taking the blanket. Even with my size in accout, my fists were even bigger than a full grown mare's skull. Anyway, I lie down on top of a hay bale and covered up with the blanket, drifting off to a comfortable snooze.
