On the 37'th coronation of the Student, Princess Luna has taken on her first student, a surprise to all attendees at Coronation. Not even Star Swirl knew how his life would change that day.

Oak Sapling and Star Swirl, bitter rivals and top of Princess Celestia's Academy for Gifted Unicorn class that decade. Every 10 years, there was not only fierce, and brutal competition for every single seat available at graduation on Coronation years, but on other years, the entire academy was full. Everypony wanted to attend the academy and win that ever coveted spot tutoring, and learning everything about magic directly from Princess Celestia. This competition was so fierce, that graduating years that eren't a coronation usually consisted only of those that had given up that dream, or never had it in the first place.
