It was evening in Ponyville and a snow storm raged in the streets , everypony was in their home and tried to warm up themselves with a hot chocolate or next to a fireplace. Big Macintosh and Fluttershy were also trying to warm up in her cottage.
The two ponies cuddled under a blanket next to the fireplace. The snowstorm became stronger and Fluttershy began to shiver although she was next to a fireplace under a blanket with her special somepony.
Big Mac had noticed it while he was holding her tight in his grip (but not too tight to squash her) and he worried about her.
"Ya cold?" she looked up to him with a depressed expression on her face. "Um... maybe a little bit, but I'm alright."
Big Mac wanted to help her. "Ah can make a hot chocolate if ya want to." "Oh I don't want bothering you." she replied with a fake smile. "It's not a bother anyway." he said
while he looked at her with a gentle smile.
He kissed her forehead, stood up and went in the kitchen to make two cups of hot chocolate.
Fluttershy was lost in her thoughts. "How could I ask him if he has an affair with Twilight. He is often in the libary lately and spending a lot of time with her and I see him often with her in the town but I don't want to begin an awkward discussion... No. I must ask him, I need the knowledge if he is cheating on me. Perhaps he is not so trustworthy how I initially thought."
*sigh*
Big Mac came back with two cups of hot chocolate and laid next to Fluttershy. "Here is it." "Thank you." she said barely to hear.
Big Mac was wondering why she had a dreamy expression. "Are ya alright?" she looked sad on the floor. "Ah think ya aren't cold, somthin' other is botherin' ya." he said in a worried voice.
"Well... actually... um... DO YOU THINK I WOULDN'T NOTICE IT YOU DAMN ASSHOLE, AND NOW GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE!!!!" she jumped up and yelled at him.
Big Mac was shocked and confused and didn't what he should say.
Seconds later she realized that she had yelled at him. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to yell at you. Please don't be mad at me." she said while she had transformed into a small yellow ball who cried. Not just because she yelled at him, but she was afraid he could have an affair with one of her best friends. Big Mac began to brush her mane. "Ah'm not mad at you but what do ya wanted to say with that?" Fluttershy continued crying.
Big Mac left the room to bring some hankies and so that she an calm down. "What did she mean by that? Made I something wrong?" he thought while he took some hankies.
As he came back with the hankies in his mouth, he saw Fluttershy with a very wet mane and a face which was overflowded with tears.
He went slowly to her, step by step he became more and more unwell.
Finally he reached her and he gave her the hankies.
"Thank *sniff* you."
"Fluttershy, ya can tell me everythin', maybe Ah can help ya. Ah'm just a little bit confused." Big Mac said in a very gentle and quiet tone.
These words calmed her down and looked up to him. "It's just... um... maybe I'm wrong... but... do you have an affair with Twilight?" Big Mac was suprised to hear something like this.
"If yes, I would it understand. She is smart, nice and..." she was interrupted by Big Mac.
"Wait wait wait. Ya think Ah'm cheatin' on you with Twilight? Twilight Sparkle?"
"Yes." she responded, afraid that he would admit it. He couldn't help but giggle.
"Why should Ah do smethin' like this? Ah am a very honest pony and ya know that so why do ya think so?"
Fluttershy was confused. "But you were so often in the libary and every time when I see you in the town, you are with together Twilight. So tell me why you spend so much time with her." she confronted him.
Big Mac sighed. "Actually it was supposed to be a suprise, but Ah spent time in the libary because Ah searched books about romantic dinners. Ah wanted to suprise ya that Ah can be also romantic like everypony else. And Ah spent time with Twilight because Ah thought she could help me. She has as her coltfriend after all, so she should know somethin' about romantic stuff."
Fluttershy sighed in relief. "This sounds... plausible. But I don' know if I can trust you. I know you are honest and I want trust but a little voice in my head always say that you are dubious." she looked at the floor with a depressed expression.
Big Mac looked at her with compassion for some seconds. "Fluttershy, look in my eyes." he finally said.
Fluttershy looked up at him slowly while he had crouched to be on one eye level with her.
He looked deep in her eyes and took her face in his hooves.
"Close your eyes now." Big Mac said.
Fluttershy closed her eyes and awaited what would happening. She felt something is touching her lips and then something moist was entering her mouth and played with her tounge. It tasted like fresh apples.
Her heart raced very fast and she understood that he was kissing her. She took his face in her hooves and they kissed for perhaps one minute but the kiss had so much passion that it felt like hours. Fluttershy couldn't hear the voice anymore. Finally they broke up the kiss and looked into each others eyes.
"Ah love ya Fluttershy an Ah would never do somethin' that is hurtin' ya. Ah will protect ya, no matter what happens." Big Mac said with a gentle smile.
"I love you too Big Macintosh and I know that I can count on you if I need help or just somepony to be with, no matter what happens."
she responded and hugged him while tears of happiness had been forming in her eyes.
They layed down under the blanket together and had drunk their hot chocolate. It was already night and Fluttershy looked at Big Mac. "Maybe we can have this romantic dinner one day." she said to him. "Eeyup. Ah have time next week sugarcube." he responded. "Sounds good." she yawned. And with these words they fell asleep.
