The name is Brandon, at least it was before I left and took on a new identity. Twenty years old, husky build, green eyes, blond hair.....Ok I'm even boring myself now what was I going to say....Oh yeah so people often wish they could escape from where they are. I'm like that sometimes but it's not like I'll give anything to go but sometimes things just happen. For me it was meeting someone, or should I say something....You know I'm actually not really sure what category he would be under....Anyway as I was saying, meeting someone/thing I only thought existed in my mind. After that meeting and making a deal everything became much more interesting.

"Ugh I hate people sometimes." I said just finishing a match in League of Legends with a loss that should not have happened "Some people just don't fuckin' listen. I told them not to go in and wait for the tank and they see one squishy move out of place and try to jump on them only to die before they do idiots." I heave a loud sigh. "Well I'm done with that for awhile. I exit out of League and open one of the stories that I try to write but never seem to be able to keep the momentum that most of my stories start with. "Let's see if anything comes to me." I sit there for a good hour before the writers block sets in. "Damn now I have to leave this story and hope I can come up with something." I look over to the clock and see it's eleven at night 'Well better sleep so I can wake up for work.' I thought to myself. I then checked everything around the house since I was there alone for a week while my family was on vacation and I was stuck here from a new job I got. 'It's a good job and I like it but why'd they always cut into vacations.' I thought "Whatever house to myself. Play my music as loud as I want. There are definitely perks to being alone, though being alone is a curse its self. Read a little bit to put myself to sleep.....and I need to stop talking to myself." so I read for a good half hour before I finally passed out on the couch, unknown to myself it would the last time I see it or anything else from this world.

Sometime later that night I managed to enter that weird semi-conscience that allowed people to control their dreams and at the time I was busy screwing with my house's layout. "Turn the stairs so that my room upstairs now spirals down to go to the upstairs room, the hallway spins but gravity is always correct to the floor. Man I love when I can control the fabric of reality." I said out loud. "Well then you are going to love me then." said a velvet smooth voice behind me I turn to see one of my favorite characters, who still didn't have a story, behind me. Dissonance my draconequus of luck, conflict, and humor. I looked him over taking in the details that I gave him. The green scaled snake head with the two opposing horns adorning his head, one small straight one on the left and one long lightning bolt shaped one on the right both smoothly arcing back. The torso was covered in blue fur with the left arm being a panthers paw and the right being humanoid but grey in color and the digits ending in black talons instead of normal fingernails. Taking in the rest of him I looked to where I added the wings, a pair of dragonfly wings on one side and a skeletal wing on the other for his legs he had one orange and white mottled crab leg and a sleek black spider leg on the other side. Following his form I took in his tail, which went back to being serpentine and had the red fin that ran down it to the scorpion stinger end. "Eyes up man." he said making me pull my eyes back up to look into his, which I took great pride in, in his right he had black where the whites should be and a red iris, while his left was similar but inverted, red where white was and a black iris and red pupil.
He walked around a little flipping his coin as he went and me just following his movements as he walked down the hallway I just twisted. "Wow I thought my mind was weird." He commented on his way back. I only stood there looking at him confused as to how he got there. "Uhh Dissonance right?" I asked still trying to figure out how he got here and giving up shortly later.
"The one and only." he said going into a bow. Not really questioning his presence anymore since I was aware of the dream I was in. Dissonance followed me for a bit before saying "So seeing as you are now comfortable with my presence I would like to ask you a question." That confused me since he was a fragment of my thoughts "Sure?" I said.
"If you could go to anyplace real or fictional where would you go?" That question stopped me and he continued. "I mean there are infinite possibilities but what one would you choose?" After what seemed like five minutes, kinda hard to tell since dream time is weird, I gave my thoughts.
"Well the three biggest ones are the Final Fantasy Tactics universe, Poke'mon, and My Little Pony."
"Ok you have it narrowed down now. But what one would you choose." he pressed. I had to ask a question of my own before I answered him. "Why do you want to know?"
"I want to make a deal."
"What kind of deal?"
"One very few get."
With that last statement my reality seeing side set in making the dream around me dissipate "I'm in a dream, you're not real, and I'm about to wake up and have to knock myself back out unless it's morning already." But the emptiness around me didn't give way to the couch I knew I was on. "What if I was real?" I turned to see Dissonance still with me in the emptiness.
"Ok how are you still here? You can't be real you are an idea I thought up one day when I was bored."
"But I am real. Draconequus are not limited to most physics and I am an idea just one brought to life on a different plane of existence." I was utterly confused but he continued anyway "Some draconequus can develop thoughts while they are still an idea and if we manage to figure out most of our powers on our own, a new draconequus is made."
"So basically one of my ideas came alive because it was that strong?"
"In a nutshell yes, though most ideas are not strong enough or in my case crafty enough to last."
"Ok my next question would be why do you want to know what other world I would go to if I could?"
"Ah now we are getting somewhere. A draconequus has great power but you thought me up with a few limitations something that you could help me with." he said with a smile revealing the double row of shark teeth in his mouth. I knew that smile it's the one he gets when he is very confident.
"I see now, your planar limitations. I gave you massive amounts of power but I limited you to only planes where a 'avatar' of yours existed. I also remember you needed to get heads ten times in a row on your coin before you could make a new avatar."
"I hate you for that by the way, do you know how bad it is that I actually need luck to go to new places," Dissonance said with a irritated look at me.
"Hey great amounts of power need limits or they become problems easily." I said casually back. Dissonance gave me a flat stare before saying "Killjoy." I only shook my head with a smile "Exactly what I would expect you to say since you are inherently good. I'm glad I didn't make you a villain."
"Me too, means I won't die at the end of any stories you come up with."
"I also remember you had to make a deal with the avatars you made." I said smiling now "And that you were generally desperate to get to new areas."
"Damn you know too much. The deal is going to be way too lopsided now."
"Well I know the place I would want to go. Equestria. As for the deal itself, don't worry I know you won't cause too much trouble."
"Wait you are going to make a deal but your not going to abuse the leverage that you have against me?" Dissonance asked a curious look on his face.
"Nope. Nothing's fun unless there is a little challenge to it. Ok I know where I'm going so lets get to deal making." Dissonance and I sat down at a table that we conjured up and since I was still in a dream technically I would mess with reality a little while we were making the deal. After what felt like several hours we came to an agreement.
"Ok read back to me what we have." I said to Dissonance who picked up the paper we wrote the deal on and he listed off what we agreed on. "First off you are going to be a dragon when you get to Equestria. You will appear randomly there out of four locations the Everfree, Ponyville, Whitetail Woods, or in the middle of a plain somewhere in Equestria. Are you sure about that last one?"
"Yeah. I mean the rest of them are safe or at least relatively safe and if I run into trouble I'm pretty sure I can get out unscathed."
"Alright well continuing on, You will have access to chaos magic as well as regular magic although the regular magic will be limited to mostly cantrips so you can't magic out of everything and the chaos magic derives from my luck aspect meaning it won't always work and only happens when you need it." I nod and motion for him to continue "You want no memory of this deal, what your name was, or of myself or the power I wield but you do want want to remember that you had a family even though you won't remember much about them and also most about your world but not all. Why?"
I sighed then explained to him "If I knew where the ponies came from they would find out since I am a terrible liar also if I know where I'm from paranoia would set in and lastly jokes, jokes would be good to know even if they don't get it." I said with a smile plastered on my face. "Ok I see what you mean there." He said with a smile of his own
"Lastly you want a double to take your place so family won't worry about you and if you have to come back you will retain all memories of Equestria for yourself."
"That about sums it up. This is going to take effect when I wake up right?
"Yes and don't worry about the double I won't make it crazy or anything."
"Ok thanks now time to forget and have some fun." I said as I felt the familiar floating feeling of being shocked awake.

"Aaaaaaahhhhh" I grunted as I stretched out from where I was laying opening my eyes to see the sky above me 'Wait where am I?' I thought to myself looking around to see nothing but rolling hills and grasslands around me 'Ok weird.' I then noticed my body felt different too and found myself looking down what looked like a snout to me "What the?" I went to go feel and saw that my hand looked different instead of skin I had bright white scales and my fingernails were replaced with ivory talons. I then thought to myself 'Is this what I originally looked like? I feel like it's not but I can't remember what I looked like before now so.....I guess so?" I looked myself over more and found I had a pair of wings on my back and I tried to move them and found it was just a few extra muscles in the shoulders and I opened and closed them a few times before I continued. I had a tail. Again something where only a few extra muscles were needed to be found to move it. I stood up and looked around and found a bag lying on the ground and a river nearby. I open the bag first to find only a coin inside. The coin had a face that looked familiar. It was a snake head with two rows of shark teeth in the mouth. and on the other side was the image of the sun on the right side and the moon on the left with what looked like a scorpion stinger splitting he two. I then moved to the river and I looked down and finally saw my face. I was definitely some kind of drake. My snout looked similar to a canines and my eyes were a ruby red. I also had a pair of horns that swooped back. After I was done looking at myself and with the pack on and no other options I started to go in a random direction since I had no better ideas. "For better or worse here we go."
*A few days later*
"Ugh hungry." I said feeling the growing pain in my gut as I continued to walk unable to figure out how to fly and heading towards the tree line of some forest, the only thing that seemed to break the endless plains. "Almost there." I said and right before I could enter the woods. I collapse.
A creamy yellow pegasus with a long pink flowing mane and three small pink butterflies adorning her flank was walking along the edge of the forest like she usually did with a few birds following her and softly singing to herself. "Thank you for the company." she said softly to the birds and they followed her a little longer before they scattered confusing her "Birds don't usually leave me until I ask them to." She looked ahead and saw why they scattered, a dragon was lying on the path ahead "Eep." she jumped into the nearest bush and slowly peaked out to see the dragon. He was just lying there not moving at all. She slowly moved closer trying to keep herself hidden as much as possible. When she got close enough she could hear it moaning fear taking a second seat to her caring nature she rushed to its side to check on it. "Are you ok?"
"mmmmggghhh"
"Hold on I'll get help" and she took off into the woods looking for her pet who should be nearby. "Marigold! Marigold where are you?" She said as loud as she could which wasn't very loud at all luckily her pet had very good hearing. Marigold came crashing through the forest all four hundred pounds of him revealing his orange fur red mane and his red scorpion tail. Marigold stopped in front of the pegasus wondering what was wrong "Someone needs our help." and the pegasus led him back to where the dragon was laying and the two of them picked it up and took it back to the pegasi's house.

I woke up but did not open my eyes feeling better than when I passed out and I immediately known I was no longer outside. I heard humming and I slowly opened one eye to see what was nearby and I found myself in a small home that had animal houses everywhere. My eyes drifted from place to place before my eyes settled on where the humming was coming from. A yellow pegasus that was tending a fire I moved slowly so didn't scare her but when I moved my arm she heard the rustling of the blanket that was over me. Her head snapped to the side looking at me and saying "Oh your awake." she came over to me and checked me over saying "I managed to get you here before you suffered any problems from malnutrition." I managed to sit up and when I did she cowered slightly but I looked her in her teal eyes and said "Don't worry I'm not going to hurt you Fluttershy."
"How do you know my name?" I had to think about that one but came up with nothing "I have no idea I just do. I don't really know much right now. I woke up in the middle of a field a few days ago and I had no idea where I was."
"Oh." she said still sitting away from me.
"Um. Thanks for helping me but seeing as I make you uncomfortable I can go now." Fluttershy didn't give any objections so I started to get up but before I could do anything I heard someone else coming from outside and apparently so could Fluttershy since her ears perked to the doorway.
"Fluttershy I came as fast as I could when I heard about what happened." said a violet unicorn with a dark purple mane with a lighter purple and a pink stripe in it. "Is everything ok?"
"Yes he just woke up." Fluttershy said softly. The violet unicorn looked at me and I looked back and simply said "Hi." she continued to look at me, studying me. It went on for a few mintues and was starting to get a little weird so I had to say something "Uh Twilight it's starting to get weird with you staring at me like that." her face got very serious and asked "How do you know my name?"
The serious face didn't faze me and I replied "No idea."
"How could you not know how you know my name?"
"Same answer, no idea."
"Aaahh why don't you just answer truthfully?"
"I am." I said starting to get a little ticked I did not like being called a liar when I'm not lying
"Um Twilight he knew my name too." Fluttershy said from where she was sitting. "And he says he doesn't remember much except from a few days ago when he woke up in a field." That caught her attention "Where did you find him?" Twilight asked Fluttershy "Out near Whitetail Woods. Why?" Twilight gave a cold stare at me and I only looked back bored at her.
"There was a spike in chaos magic near Whitetail Woods a few days ago. I think he is the source of that spike."
"Ok if I am the cause what does that mean?" I ask curious now.
"It means you could be a huge problem."
"How?"
"I don't know but chaos magic is-"
"Chaotic." I had to interrupt her.
She gave me another cold stare before she continued "Yes and we have no idea what that can cause."
"Well when a problem occurs let me know if I was the cause and I'll help fix it if I can." and I got up to my full height and I stood over twilight she coming up to just below my rib cage.
"Nuh uh you are not going anywhere until I know for sure if you're a problem." Twilight said
"You gunna stop me?"
"Yes."
"Go ahead and try." I said as I pushed my way past her. After I left the small cottage I was in I could see there was a forest nearby and before I could take in anything else a purple bolt of energy sizzled past me. "You should stop before I'm forced to make you." I knew she was trying to intimidate me and I knew somehow she missed on purpose but I wasn't afraid of fighting her I was afraid of hurting her but I wasn't going to let her boss me around with no reason "Um no." She shot another ball of magic at me but much weaker I noticed and I just reacted. Deflecting it with my hand.
"How did you deflect that spell it was supposed to numb your entire body if it made contact!"
"Don't know. Don't care but please stop."
"No I can't have you endanger other ponies." she said throwing several more balls of energy at me to many to deflect alone and again I only reacted putting my forearms together producing a silver magic shield in front of me. All of the magical projectiles disappearing on contact and when that happened Twilight got a scared look on her face "H-h-how did y-y-you do that?" she asked shaking.
"I have no idea, I just did. Now are you going to leave me alone?" I asked hiding the exhaustion I felt from pulling off that trick. She only nodded and I decided the forest would be a good place to set up a camp and I walked into the forest.
Twilight sat there scared and confused. Fluttershy came up next to Twilight "Twilight what's wrong?"
"That dragon. He made a magic negation field."
"Is that bad?"
"My brother can't make that shield and he's the best shield mage there is. What worries me is that he doesn't know how he did it." Fluttershy looked the where I had left and thought to herself 'He didn't seem to want to hurt us he just wanted to leave.'

"Better set some shelter up. Now where to start." I look around at the clearing I found and started constructing a rough home. Half way through I found I couldn't reach a point that needed to be secured "Great I'm going to have to start over now." I said still holding on to the unstable shelter. I took one hand off and reached for the loose point but it was out of reach "Damn it why can't I just reach it?" I suddenly had an idea. Focusing on the branch that would secure the shelter a silver sheen enveloped it and it moved into place. I slowly moved away from the shelter and it stayed. "Good to know that I have some control over my magic." I heard a snap and looked behind me to see a manticore staring me down "Oh fuck. AAAAHHHHH!!!" I tried to run but it moved so fast it pinned me before I even had a chance. I struggled against the beast but it didn't budge an inch. After a few seconds of struggling I gave up "Well I didn't last long."
"Marigold down." a familiar soft voice said. The manticore removed the paw that was holing me down and moved to Fluttershy's side. "Uh is that a normal pet?"
"No but ever since I helped him when he was hurt he decided to stay by me."
"Ok just don't let him pounce on me again. It kinda hurt. Now what are you doing here?"
"Oh. Um. Y-you left your pack at my cottage." she said motioning to the pack that was across her back.
"Oh I completely forgot about that. Thank you." I said as I took the pack back and opened it to find that same strange coin inside. I took it out and looked at it again nothing was different with it. I put it on my hand and flicked it and as is spun through the air it gave a satisfying chime as it rose and fell and I caught it with the sun and moon side showing. I put the coin away and looked to Fluttershy "Again thank you."
"Will you be ok out here?"
"Don't know. Got a shelter now so that will help. I could use some help identifying what is eatable." She smiled and helped me find some eatable food in the immediate area. With the manticore following us and keeping an eye on me.
"Um I don't mean to be rude but could you tell me your name? That is if you want to." Fluttershy said her mane covering part of her face as she said the last part.
""Yeah it's......." I stopped. she looked at me waiting for an answer. "I don't remember." I said starting to panic "How could I forget my own name? I mean it's my name how can you forget it." I went on like that for several minutes before I finally rested my back against a tree and slumped "How do you forget your own name?"
"Well maybe you can just have a new one?" Fluttershy said innocently.
"Maybe that would be best. I mean I have to have a name." I thought about it for awhile before I looked at Fluttershy and asked "How 'bout Canus? I don't know where it comes from but I know it means white."
"I think it suits you and sorry about Twilight. She can be a little..."
"Aggressive, accusative , paranoid?"
"Yes, but she means well."
"I kinda got that but if she really wants to say sorry you can bring her here. But promise me only to bring her if she is sorry."
"Ok. Um are you sure you'll be ok?
"Maybe I don't know." Fluttershy looked down for a second before she looked to Marigold and said "What if Marigold stayed with you."
"Um will he maim and or kill me? I said unsure.
"No he's really just a big fluffy kitty." she said hugging the giant cat monster.
"Um if you're sure he won't hurt me I guess it couldn't hurt then."
"Ok Marigold keep him safe for awhile so he can get set in." The manticore purred and licked Fluttershy and after a few minutes she left and it was just me and the giant cat that could easily kill me.
"Sooooo what's up?" Marigold then turned and moved over to a shaded area and sat down. "Ok I get the feeling it's going to be tense for a little while." and Marigold growled in response. "Yep definitely going to be tense."
Chapter 3: Getting Noticed

"Oh princess please answer my letter." Twilight said to herself as she walked around waiting for a response to the letter Twilight quickly wrote to Celestia. She continued to pace for several minutes before Spike her young purple dragon assistant walked in.
"Twilight don't you think you're over reacting?" he asked.
"No Spike I don't think I'm over reacting he was able to pull off a extremely high level barrier spell the even Shiny can't do."
"But aren't barrier spells the easiest spell?"
"Yes but its what he did. He nullified the magic with the shield."
"That's bad right?"
"I've only seen Celestia and Luna do it."
"Oh." Spike said with a worried look on his face now.
"Exactly. Now we just have to wait for them to reply." Right after Twilight said that Spike burped up a swirling green smoke at formed into a letter with a sun and moon seal on it. "Finally." Twilight said as she opened it and read it out loud.
"Dear Twilight, we have received the letter you sent us and as soon as we are done with a few minor things we will come to see if we can find this dragon who you said could conjure a magic negation field. This could be very bad and we will be bringing the elements with us just in case so you should get your friends together." Twilight looked up from the letter "I need to get the others." and she left going to find her friends.

"So what 'r' we doin' again sugercube? An orange earth pony asked Twilight.
"We're meeting the princesses to see if this dragon I told you about already Applejack, will be a problem or not." Twilight said
"So what's up with this dragon anyway?" A light blue pegasus asked as she hovered just above Twilight.
"He was near a spike of chaos magic a few days ago and if he was the source he could be a problem Rainbow."
"Oh."
"Rainbow darling you should really pay attention more Twilight did tell us this earlier." A white unicorn with a deep purple corkscrew mane said.
"Thank you Rarity."
"But what if he is actually was from another world but forgot his memories and doesn't even know the extent of his powers yet and he could possibly be a really good friend, I mean did we ever really talk to him without being mean to him?" a pink earth pony with a mane that looked like cotton candy asked in one breath. Twilight looked to the pink pony and said "Pinkie please try to take this seriously it could be a huge problem."
"Ok." Pinkie said bouncing along with the group.
Fluttershy was lost in thought still thinking about Canus. She didn't believe he would be a problem he was only defending himself against Twilight yesterday. She hoped he was ok he was only up for a few minutes before he entered the everfree. A flash of bright light brought her out of her thoughts and Celestia and Luna stood before her and her friends. Celestia with her ivory coat and her mane of the early morning colors moving on a unseen breeze and Luna with her dark blue coat and her mane that had spots of light in it like a clear sky at night also blowing on a unseen breeze like her sister's.
"Twilight my faithful student I'm glad you brought this to my attention now where is this dragon you spoke of." Twilight's ears drooped as she said "I don't know where he is he went into the Everfree and I'm not sure if we can find him in there."
"Oh come now Twilight you forget some important things sometimes." A voice said from no where. Twilight and her friends looked around before Twilight said "Discord come out so we can see you. You know we don't like talking to thin air."
A zipper appeared in mid air and opened to let Discord, the being of chaos, pull himself out. Discord stretched his mismatched body out raising his eagle talons and lion paw above his head while extending his dragon leg and deer leg down "Come on Twilight you forget you know a being of chaos now. I can easily track this source of chaos down if that is truly what it is."
Twilight only gave a disgruntled look at Discord still getting used to him out and about after Celestia let him out of his stone prison. "Thank you for your assistance Discord." Celestia said to Discord giving him a friendly smile.
"No problem Tia." Discord looked around before he saw Fluttershy and said "Fluttershy my dear how have you been?" Fluttershy gave him a small smile saying "I've been good Discord how about you?"
"Little bit of mischief here and there but nothing to big. A chocolate rain over Manehatten one day. A abandoned house turned upside down unexpectedly. Nothing really harmful."
"Good." Fluttershy said.
Celestia cleared her throat to get Discords attention "Yes now that that is done could you please led us to this dragon Discord?" she asked
"Sure thing onwards to the Everfree!" he shouted with a cowboy hat and whip appearing on his person as he started leading them to the forest. He led them for almost a half hour through the forest before the group came to a clearing and found a single story stone house very nice arched windows there with Marigold out front resting under a decent sized hut for him.
"Does anyone else see the really nice house and Fluttershy's pet manticore in a hut out front?" Rainbow asked. Everyone at the same time said "Yep." The front door opened and Canus came out. Saw all the ponies. Turned around and shut the door and audible clicks could be heard as he locked the door. "How did he get a house like that in such a short amount of time?" Twilight asked baffled.
"Well one thing I can say for sure is that there is chaos magic at work." Discord said looking at the house. "Have to admit though that house looks pretty cool." Discord moved towards the house then simply walked up to the door and opened it for the others. They all entered unconcerned with how Discord was able to open the door and found Canus Sitting in a nice wooden chair. Canus looked to where the door opened and got a scared look on his face when he looked at Celestia and Luna and simply said "Oh shit." and tried to jump out a window to be caught in a purple aura. He noticed he wasn't moving and tried to swim through the air which made Pinkie and Rainbow laugh. While Canus was struggling Discord looked to Celestia and Luna and asked "Can I try something?"
"Is it dangerous?" Celestia asked
"Not to either of you two and not to any of your ponies if my hunch is correct. But it could blow up in my face."
"Go ahead then." Luna said with a smirk "We would love to see something blow up in your face for a change." Discord only stuck his tongue out at Luna then moved towards Canus who had given up and crossed his arms still floating. "Can I help you?" Discord looked him over then poked him a few times. "Again can I help you?" Discord ignored him then looked at the pack nearby opened it and pulled out the strange coin. "So that where it's coming from. Lets see." He flipped the coin a few times and it started glowing before he handed it to Canus saying "Hold this." Canus rolled his eyes and took the coin. Discord then snapped his taloned hand and Canus got a distant look in his eyes for a moment before they refocused.
"Um I know I'm not in any position to ask this but Celestia, Luna can I ask you have Twilight put me down and her friends to go outside for a moment?" Celestia was confused about the sudden change in behavior but knew Discord well enough that anything could have happened and it could have been much worse. "Twilight please go outside."
"But princess? what if he tries to run?"
"I'm not going to run I'm going to talk." Canus said. Twilight looked to Celestia and Celestia nodded. Twilight slowly put Canus down and said "Come on girls lets wait outside." And with that Twilight led the others out.

'Glad they left now to deal with Discord.' I looked to Discord who had a wicked smile on his face. I remembered everything but my original name. The deal I made with Dissonance. Even the powers I now have. I gave Discord and evil glare "You."
"Me?" He said innocently.
"What. The. Fuck. Did. You. DO!" I shouted the last word.
"I modified your deal."
"Why the HELL did you do that!"
"Because it would stir up some interesting chaos."
"Fuck you Discord. Fuck you"
"Um are we missing something?" Luna asked. And with that I remembered that both of the princesses were in my company and either one of them could easily kill me if needed.
"I'm sorry but Discord here just gave me access to the immense amount of power I had given myself when I entered your world."
"What do you mean by 'entered' our world?" Celestia asked. I knew there was no more reason to hide the truth since Discord had given me back my memories. I told them everything, well almost everything I left out the fact I could see into there world trough a show I felt that would cause some problems. The explanation took just over five minutes since I had not been in Equestria too long and there wasn't too much that has happened yet.
"So let me see if I heard you right?" Luna asked "You basically made a draconequus and he offered you a deal to go to one place and you chose Equestria?"
"Yeah." I said rubbing the back of my head. Luna looked to Celestia who asked me "Is there anyway you can contact Dissonance?"
I heave a heavy sigh "He probably has been listening since Discord showed up. Haven't you?" I said holding the coin that had the likeness of Dissonance.
"Yes. Yes I have." Dissonance said as he came from behind Discord startling the two princesses with his appearance. "And Discord more than gave you back your memories he also gave your powers a modification." Dissonance said flipping a second coin.
"Celestia, Luna this is Dissonance scary looking but mostly harmless."
"Mostly?" Celestia asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Yeah. He has insane amounts of power but he can't access it at all times and most of the time he can access it he uses it for pranks."
"Why's that?" Luna asked.
"Because when I thought him up if he had full access he would be mostly unstoppable and unstable too."
"Oh." Luna said and Celestia was doing her poker face thing which unnerved me.
"Now Dissonance what did Discord do?" I asked.
"like I said he modified your magic."
"What did he do?"
"He added himself to the deal for starters" I glared at Discord again "You will access his magic for cantrips, low level, and utility spells but some may not work the way you want them to."
"Wonderful." I said sarcastically "What else changed. I take it I still have access to your powers then?"
"Yes but." Dissonance said his face showing he wasn't going to like what he said next.
"But what?" I asked not liking the way dissonance was looking at me.
"It will require a blood price." I stood there silent for exactly five seconds before I asked "Blood as in from my body?" Dissonance nodded. I stood there thinking over the implications of that. "Does the blood have to be self drawn?"
"No just outside the body and fresh."
"Good that means I won't have to stab myself to defend myself."
"Anything else?" I asked and Dissonance shook his head "Well the blood price is a little unfortunate but not unworkable." I look to the coin I was still holding "Mind explaining why I have your coin?" I said holding it up.
"At first it was just for the heck of it but now there is a five percent chance of getting heads and summoning me for help but you only get two attempts per day and they do not stack."
"So the first two flips?"
"No the first two attempts you have to word it like that or if you just flip it for fun you could waste them."
"Thanks." I said putting it away. "Now I know you have some questions Celestia so please ask them." Celestia looked to Dissonance who opened a hole in the floor and fell through and then looked to me and asked.
"So what now?"
I thought for a minute before I said "I have NO idea. I could continue to live here so I don't cause trouble because now I can freely access my magic."
"Or you could live in Ponyville Canus." she said finally breaking her poker face. I stared straight at her my brain broken and unable to comprehend what she just said. "Twilight you and your friends can come back in." Twilight entered saw my face that was stuck somewhere between happiness and stupefied shock and giggled to herself feeling as she won since Celestia was able to do that to me. Rarity and Applejack came in next they also giggled at my stupid face. When Pinkie and Rainbow came in they didn't giggle they completely broke out laughing at me and Fluttershy entered quietly like she usually does. After they entered I finally snapped out of my shock.
"My little ponies this dragon's name is Canus and he will be moving into Ponyville."

"Are you serious?" Canus asked.
"Yes. I see no real reason for you not to live in Ponyville." Celestia said. "You may be a chaos mage but you are not evil. That much I can tell just with the few minutes of talking with you."
"Ok then time to head to Ponyville."
"You don't even have a house there yet where will you stay?" Twilight asked
"He could stay at the boutique with me while it is constructed." Rarity offered.
"That won't be necessary everyone outside and I will show you what I mean. I have an idea." Everyone exited the house and Canus looked at it thinking about what he wanted to do. He snapped his fingers on both his hands simultaneously and his house glowed and shrank down to the size of a small doll house. "good to know that worked." he said surprised.
"You mean you had no idea if your magic would work or not?" Twilight asked.
"Hey magic is a new concept to me and to successfully pull of my first spell consciously is a big thing for me."
"Oh."
Canus picked up his house and said "So lets head out and find a place for me to set this up." before they could go though Marigold went up to Canus and nuzzled him and looked to the little hut he made for the manticore. "You can keep that. I don't really have a use for it and I made it for you too."
The Princesses said their good byes and teleported back to their castle. The group of ponies and Discord led Canus out of the woods and after some searching Canus found a spot in between Fluttershy's cottage and Applejack's farm and set his house up there. It was a good distance away from the town and pretty close to the
"Ok now that that is done it's time for a formal introduction. Discord get lost you already know enough."
"Fine if you need me shout something random." Discord said then popped leaving confetti in his wake.
"Ok well lets get started I know all of you but you don't know me except for Fluttershy that is. My name is Canus now and don't ask what my original name was I don't remember. Anyway it's nice to meet you all."
"What do you mean you know us?" asked Rarity.
"Ok you, Rarity are a dress designer and by the way I would like to ask you if tomorrow you could help make a couple things for me to wear sometime."
"Why certainly just let me know when you can come for sizing."
"Will do. You are Rainbow Dash" Canus said pointing to Rainbow "only pony to pull off the sonic rainboom and a master flyer and I would like to ask if you could help me learn to fly. I have wings but no idea how to use them."
"So that's why you weren't flying. Sure I could help with that. I'll turn you into the best flyer there is. Right after me of course." Rainbow said rubbing a hoof on her chest.
"You're Applejack, owner of Sweet Apple Acres" Canus said turning to face Applejack "Most honest pony there is, and also one of the best athletes I know of." Applejack smiled and asked "Got some'n you want to ask me too?"
"Yeah make sure you have apples ready for me to buy when I get some money."
"Sure thing sugarcube."
"Do me next!" Pinkie said popping in front of Canus.
"Ok ok Pinkie settle down. You are Pinkamina Diane Pie best party thrower, awesome baker, and a prankster."
"Are you psychic?"
"No I'm just really well informed." Canus said with a laugh and looked to Twilight and gave a sheepish smile "Hey Twilight sorry about that first encounter we had. I know you were only looking out for everyone but sometimes the direct approach is not the best ok? And. I would like if. Maybe. You could help me understand magic a little more if you can?"
"Celestia seems to trust you for some reason so I guess I can try and trust you too." Twilight said.
"Thanks now if you will excuse me I would like to get my home in order and Rarity I'll be by at around one tomorrow is that ok?"
"Sure darling I'll keep an hour open just in case we need it."
"Thanks." with that all the ponies present left and Canus looked at the house before snapping his fingers and Making the door leading in grow large enough to let Marigold in "Come on boy lets get inside."

Canus entered his home and set it up while he had time and it soon came close to one and Canus left to go see Rarity about some clothes. As Canus walked around he noticed a few ponies giving him scared looks and thought to himself 'I'd be more surprised if they weren't scared of me I am taller than them can probably kill this entire town before anyone noticed and also I'm a predator while they are pray. Not that I would actually harm any of them. I'm not usually hostile to people unless they're hostile to me and most of the ponies here a nice.' Canus waved to a few ponies who didn't look completely scared of him and they waved nervously back. After a few minutes of walking around Canus found the boutique and walked inside making the bell ring and Rarity come to the front "Welcome to Carousel Boutique where everything is sleek, chic, and magnific." Rarity then noticed it was Canus who entered and said "Oh Canus hello. So what is it you were looking for me to help you make?"
"Can you do jackets?" Canus asked.
"Yes let's get your measurements and I'll see what I can do." Rarity then put Canus on a platform an floated several measuring tapes to get his measurements. "Now what kind of jacket are you looking for?" Rarity asked.
"Something like a duster, needs a few pockets for convenience, and don't forget to leave some openings for the wings too."
"What is a duster?" Rairty asked. Canus looked dumbfounded at Rarity 'she doesn't know what a duster is?' he thought to himself 'Wait that would kinda make sense there are not of bipedal creatures and very few would ask for clothes.' Canus then decided to explain what a duster was while she drew what he was talking about on a sketch pad and then Canus decided to ask for custom order 'She'll probably give me the first set for free since she is the element of generosity so it couldn't hurt to ask for a custom order.'
"Ok so want three of these 'dusters' all black with red and gold trim correct?" Rariy asked.
"Yep."
"Come back tomorrow and these will be done. But I must ask why black I think a solid blue would look much better on you then black, red, and gold."
"Trust me on this Rarity." Canus said with a smirk 'I'm going to look so bad ass with these dusters.' he thought to himself. "Hey Rarity can you teach me that gem detection spell you know?"
"I sure can but why do you ask?"
"Two reasons actually one is because I can make a profit off of finding gems and selling them and two I'm a dragon so being able to find gems to eat will be really handy."
"Very well when your order is done in a few days come back and I'll teach you the spell."
"Thanks Rarity and you will get a huge discount off my gems when i start selling them. Well better find out where everything is around here if I'm going to be here awhile. See ya later Rarity." Canus said as he walked out the door. Rarity waited for the door to close before looking at the drawings with the 'dusters' on them she had no idea why they were named after a cleaning implement but she liked the way the design was and she had to admit Canus had a good eye for colors.

Canus walked around Ponyville taking in the layout since this would be his hometown now. 'Man I love this place haven't even been her two days and I have no regrets.' Canus stumbled upon SugarCube Corner after awhile and he looked at the giant gingerbread house and could only think 'I just know I'm going to get diabetes if I walk in those doors.' he stood there for a second more before shrugging and saying "I'll get diabetes if I go in but hey what self respecting brony wouldn't go in." and entered. As Canus entered he picked up on two things. The place had the sweetest aroma he had ever smelled and that the place was a mess. Pinkie came running out of a room chasing after a little pegasus colt and unicorn filly saying "Time for a nap you two. Your parents will be so mad if you aren't asleep when they come home and I still have to clean too." the cake twins then turned two separate ways forcing pinkie to choose one to follow and she chose the unicorn thinking she could catch her easier. she was wrong as the filly coated herself in magic and then ran up a wall. 'Well those two will be even more of a problem now that Pound is a natural flyer AND Pumpkin has gotten better at magic.' Canus thought to himself. After Pumpkin had gotten away from Pinkie the pink mare had fallen to the floor panting. "Need help?" Canus asked moving to stand over Pinkie. "Oh hi Canus I couldn't ask you to help the cakes asked me-"
"To watch the twins while they either went to drop off an order or to have a night to themselves though I'm assuming the latter since the place has to be clean." Canus said helping Pinkie up.
"Yeah how did you know?" Pinkie asked.
"I know things remember."
"Oh yeah. But how can you help? Pound flies and Pumpkin can walk on walls and you can't." Pinkie said turning her head and giving Canus a confused look. Canus smiled "But you forget I can use magic." he said snapping his fingers 'I love snapping my fingers for magic gives just the right amount of flair.' he thought to himself as he moved towards a wall then proceeded to wall up the wall much the same way Pumpkin had "Look I'm Spiderman" Canus laughed moving to get the twins. After a few minutes and some coordination Pinkie and Canus managed to catch the twins and put them down for their nap. "Thanks Canny." Pinkie said looking at the white dragon.
"Heh. No problem it was honestly kinda fun walking on the ceiling." Canus said with a chuckle laughing at the nickname Pinkie had just given him. "Ok now that is done you can clean this place up and then set up the surprise party you are planning for me."
"Who told you about the party?" Pinkie asked wondering how he had found out about the party she was planning.
"You just did." Canus laughed he knew she would have been planning one since she found out about him and he loved messing with people so he used that against her. "Well anyway I'll be walking around Ponyville for awhile so set it up while I'm out ok." Pinkie gave him a salute and Canus laughed some more at the salute 'That's why I love Pinkie everything seems to just slide right off her.'
After leaving SugarCube Corner Canus decided to head to Twilight's since it was also in town. It didn't take long for him to find the iconic library that housed the most powerful unicorn. 'I really should get some books to read so I can know more about Equestria.' Canus knocked on the door which was answered by spike who had to look up to look Canus in the eyes "Can I help you?" the little purple dragon asked.
"Hey Spike. Twilight home?"
"Yeah but how do you know my name?" Spike asked surprised
"I can read minds." Canus said opening his eyes wide and staring at Spike. Spike backed up scared of this mind reading dragon. Canus burst out laughing "I'm just mess'n with ya I can't read minds I just know a lot of things." Twilight came down from upstairs and saw Canus at the door "Canus what are you doing here?" she asked.
"Oh I was just walking around town and I decided to stop here.Maybe check out a few books to read."
"Oh well what kinds of books were you looking for?"
"Some magic books, history, culture, and anything else that might help me with understanding Equestria better." Twilight's horn glowed and brought down about twenty books and put them down in front of Canus. "Well that's a lot of books." Canus looked them over and found three that looked interesting 'Types of magic, Animals of Equestria, and Basic Dragon Biology.' "Twilight these three should be good for now I'll come back for the others if I need to." Canus said picking up the three books Twilight smiled and Canus couldn't help but smile to himself 'she has such a nice smile.' he thought.
"Ok well Talk to ya later Twi. Need to get back to figuring out the towns layout for myself." Canus said walking out the door. After Canus shut the door Spike looked to Twilight and asked "Is he the dragon that you were worried about?"
Twilight sighed "Yeah I guess he's not a bad guy after all." Looking out the window Twilight could see Canus walking around and saying hi to a few ponies who didn't shy away from him immediately. 'I just hope he doesn't become a problem.'
Canus left town after a little while wanting to say thank you to Fluttershy for being the first to warm up to him 'she is the element of kindness but still it would be good to be nice to her.....and the fact she's one of my favorite ponies may have something to do with that too.' Canus thought to himself with a smile. He made it to the little cottage on the edge of the Everfree and found Fluttershy singing to her birds. Canus quietly walked up behind her and sat down under a tree nearby closed his eyes and listened 'I always liked her singing. so calm. so peaceful.' Canus didn't know how long he sat there but he knew he was found when he heard a quiet 'eep' he opened his crimson eyes and looked to Fluttershy who was shivering on the ground covering her head in fear. Canus then facepalmed the smack loud and clear 'Oh how can I be so stupid she's scared of dragons.'
Canus moved over to Fluttershy and said "Sorry Fluttershy shouldn't have snuck up on you. That's a bad habit of mine I tend to be quiet and enter places unnoticed." Fluttershy slowly looked up at Canus who gave a warm smile to her and offered a taloned hand to help her up. She looked to the offered hand before taking it and getting up. "Why were you just sitting there?" Fluttershy asked.
"I was listening to your singing. It's very calming by the way. Beautiful too." Fluttershy looked around and noticed the animals at the edges of where she and Canus were. Canus noticed this and slowly walked towards the animals. they quickly bolted as he got close "Guess it would have been to easy if they stayed." Canus said to himself. he felt a light tap on the side of his leg and looked down to see none other than Angel kicking his leg. "Well that's to be expected you are Fluttershy's pet and not as scared as the other animals." Canus bent down and petted Angel who only gave him a glare. "You can't hurt me and I'm not scared of you soooo yeah. Deal with it." Fluttershy was out of earshot for the conversation Canus had with Angel and didn't hear the exchange Canus said his thank you that he wanted to say to Fluttershy and then since the day was almost over he decided to head back into his house.

Canus walked back while thinking about what he should do next and after he had made it back He noticed Pinkie hadn't set up a party in his house and decided that she planed on doing it later to actually make it a suprize party. He got his things together he had decided to call the only one who would know anything about chaos magic and the last person Canus wanted to call at the moment. Discord. 'How did he say to call him? Oh that right yell something random.' Canus thought for a moment then knew exactly what to yell to get the draconequu's attention. Canus took a deep breath before shouting "Turtle harmonica!" A few seconds later the draconequu's in question appeared.
"I knew you would call me. I've just been waiting for you to." Discord said reclining on air.
"Ok that is like the epitome of being a creeper." Canus said.
"Oh that's not nice. But anyway how can I help you?"
"Well my magic is chaos based and I know none of the books Twilight could loan me would have anything for that so I figured might as well ask the only one who knows anything about it."
"That's a good point but what can you offer me?"
"How about I cause some better chaos? I mean more control over it will allow me to do crazier things right?"
Discord thought about this for a moment before saying "You have yourself a deal. Now I made your magic like mine but not like mine you will have control but you can fail while I can't."
"Why did you set it up that way?" Canus had to ask.
"Do I need a reason to be random?"
"Good point but anyway, You added that blood price to it too. Why did you have to add that and don't say I'm being random."
"Alright, alright, I put the blood price on Dissonance's powers because they are more violent than mine. So a tax seemed like a good idea and you don't seem to like the idea of hurting yourself."
"Self mutilation is something that unsettles me to no end. Seeing something like that tends to make me feel really weak and sometimes sick to my stomach as well."
"What I did was not intended to cause pain but only keep you in check. That's why you can use blood that pours from a open wound not from a self inflicted wound. I meant it for self defense nothing more."
Canus took that in and mulled it over for a few seconds before saying "Ok thanks for that info Discord you can go back to causing your chaos now."
"What not going to invite me in?"
"No not yet. maybe in a week or two when I settle in a little more." Discord then shrugged and faded away. "Well nothing is wrong yet. Probably won't stay that way the whole time I'm here better get the house all sorted and in order." Canus then opened the front door and entered and smiled to himself knowing he was going to like it here.
Chapter 5: The Second Day

Canus wasn't tired from the days events which was weird since a lot happened that day he looked to the clock he got as a gift and it said the time was ten fourty seven and since he wasn't tired he decided to pull out one of the books and start reading. He pulled out a random book and it turned out to be the one on dragon biology 'wow this might answer why I can't sleep.' He opened the book and checked the table of contents and found a chapter on sleeping habits and found out why he couldn't sleep "Ahhh dragons sleep in cycles. For me I can stay awake for twenty four hours and sleep for four and be fine. Heh sounds like that time I went to that lock in." Canus read more 'So I'm a kakiri dragon the dragon equivalent of a pegasus. Can walk on clouds, cool. Can manipulate clouds too, useful. Can't breath fire though man that sucks. Well I can just magic some fire if I really want to breath fire.' he continued to read well into the night then finally Canus got bored of that book and moved on to the Animals of Equestria and after skimming through that he looked at the time and saw it was getting close to two 'At least I killed most of that time.'
Canus then got up and stretched a little bit before he moved to a window and looked outside. The sky was still dark and he had no idea when sunrise was and he couldn't even make a guess because he didn't know what season it was either. "It's not too cold so I could go for a little walk." Canus said to himself. He left out the front door and walked out towards a hill that was near his place. he took a seat at the top of the hill and looked up into the sky "So many stars. Seems like there are so many more here than at home." Canus continued to look at the sky only thinking about things before a soft rustling of grass caught his attention. He looked to where he heard the sound to see Luna walking towards him. "Hey Luna what's up?" Canus said nonchalantly. Luna didn't seem phased by Canus's remark and asked "Why are you not sleeping?"
"Can't sleep. Probably won't get to until tomorrow night either since my body's natural sleep cycle is a six to one ratio. I don't really sleep unless I feel tired."
Luna took a seat next to him and the two looked up at the sky. they both sat there for a while before Canus asked "No royal duties to attend to?"
"No. Most ponies are asleep this early and my guards are not much of the conversation types."
"Well when I'm awake you're welcome to stop by if you need someone to talk to, I'm not much of a conversation starter though."
"I have a few questions about you if you will indulge me." Luna asked looking over to Canus.
"Only if you answer two of my questions first." Canus said as he made eye contact.
"What questions?" Luna asked raising a brow.
"What time of year is it and what is the date?"
"It's mid spring and the date is the twenty second of Greenleaf."
"I guess that means I need to learn a new calender then."
"Will you answer my questions now?" Luna asked.
"Yeah go ahead and ask I'll answer to the best I can."
Luna looked back up to the sky seeming to think about how to ask her question "I won't bite Luna, just ask." Canus said drawing her attention to him and a friendly smile on his face. Luna looked to the night sky one more time before asking "What is a blood price?" The question caught Canus off guard a little because he thought if anyone from this world would know what that was it would be Celestia or Luna.
"Well it's the offering of ones own blood for magical power or focus. It's a dark form of magic to me and the idea of causing yourself pain sickens me which is a good thing, I won't be so tempted to use it very often if at all."
"I see." Luna said deep in thought.
"Let me guess you asked Celestia and she dodged the question."
"Yes." Luna said surprised "How did you know?"
"I can we make it easy and say I just know things and not explain how. Besides I don't know everything and I'm learning new things as well. I didn't know there were different kind of dragons kinda like ponies as well and I'm a kakiri dragon which is a pegasus like dragon." Luna took that in 'Seems Celestia was right to consider him.' Since luna seemed to be deep in thought again Canus looked up at the sky and only thought about what possibilities lay ahead.

Luna left shortly after she and Canus had finished talking and Canus just sat on the hill waiting for sunrise to come. When it did rise the colors were beautiful the deep red that formed into a light pink then into the dark blue of the early morning and when he saw all those colors he knew that this particular day was going to be great. 'Mornings always decide how my day goes and today looks like it's going to be great.'
About fourty five minutes later Canus got up and stretched his stiff legs and headed back to his house 'Gotta pick up that little stash of bits the girls gave me so I can get breakfast.' After getting the very small pouch of bits he went into town to see what diners were around. 'Probably not going to get bacon for breakfast.' he thought to himself. When he got to town a few ponies who were early risers were up tending to their gardens or starting to get their shops ready and Canus gave a "Good morning" to a few of them and smiling to all of them. After ten minutes of searching the town had started to fill up 'I guess most ponies are the early riser type.' he thought to himself. Canus found a little stand that was selling a variety of fresh baked muffins and he looked over what kinds were being sold before reaching over to grab a chocolate chip one felling the heat of the oven still present on it and as he picked it up a grey pegasus mare with golden yellow eyes that focused in two separate directions flew down and asked the mare attending the stand "Do you have any chocolate chip muffins ready?"
Canus looked to the grey mare and immediately knew who she was before the mare attending the stand even said "I'm sorry miss Doo he just grabbed the last one." She said pointing at Canus "But we will have fresh ones ready in about an hour if you come back then."
"No I can't wait that long Dinky has school in and hour."
"Um Ditzy?" Canus asked hoping that was the correct name. The grey pegasus turned to him and saw he was holding the muffin out to her "Here you can have this one there's other muffins I can eat right here. Besides it's for your daughter so I'll gladly give it to you." Canus said Ditzy quickly took the muffin saying a quick 'thank you' as she flew off. 'Like I thought today is going to be a good day.' Canus thought to himself as he picked out a couple of lemon poppy seed muffins and as he started to pull out his bits the mare at the stall said "Don't worry about that you can have those two muffins I'm not going to lose much profit off that." Canus thanked the mare and started to think about what he was going to do today as he took a bite of one of his muffins 'Gotta talk to AJ about work. Need some sort of income. Probably should get a geology book too to figure out where to look for gems so when I get the gem detection spell from rarity I can find them.' Canus's thoughts fell along those lines while he walked around town before he headed out to the Apple's farm to find Applejack 'she's probably up and working in the fields already.'
As Canus approached the farms outskirts around seven and he could see the unmistakable shape Big Mac in front of the barn. As he got closer Canus could see Big Mac was getting a cart that he assumes was to carry apples out from the orchard and as Canus approached Big Mac looked over at the white dragon. Canus stopped in front of Big Mac not sure if he should say anything or not. After a few moments of looking him over Big Mac spoke "You Canus?"
"Eeyup." Canus said unable to stop himself from doing Big Mac's signature yes.
"Applejack talked about you. Said you weren't so bad. What are you here for?"
"Looking for some work. No job right now need an income all I have to my name is what's in my house and this." Canus said raising the little pouch of bits.
"Ever work on a farm?"
"Not an orchard but I do have a little experience."
Big Mac looked him over again and said "If Applejack says yes then you can work here. Tell her I say you look like a strong worker."
"Ok but where is she?"
"Out in the eastern orchard." Big Mac said pointing "Just head out that way and you should be able to find her. Just listen for the sound of hooves hitting a tree."
"Thanks, see ya later Big Mac." Canus said as he walked towards where Big Mac pointed. Big Mac's Followed Canus as he left and after Canus was out of sight he thought to himself 'Interesting guy.' and continued on his chores
Canus found AJ rather easily since like Big Mac said just listen for the sound of trees being hit. Canus found Applejack in mid buck knocking apples out of the tree right into the baskets that she had set up at the base of the tree. He walked up unnoticed and said "I never understood how you were able to knock the apples into the baskets every time."
"What the!?" Applejack shouted turning around to find Canus behind her. "Oh Canus it's you." Applejack sighed "How can i help ya?"
"Sorry didn't mean to surprise you did that to Fluttershy yesterday. I have a bad habit of being so quiet most people don't notice me." Canus said with a sheepish smile. "Anyway I came to ask if you have any work you need help with. Big Mac said i should talk to you and he said to say he thinks I look like a good worker and I could use the work to make a few bits too."
"Sure there are a few things you can help with. For starters how about you help me take these baskets up to the house."
"Sure thing." Canus said as he picked up three of the baskets, two in his arms and one balanced on top of them leaving one left for Applejack. Canus talked with Applejack a little bit on the way back just as they got to the house three fillies came out one yellow earth pony with a red mane and a pink bow holding it together, a white unicorn with a two tone pink and lavender mane and a orange pegasus with a purple mane. The three of them stopped and stared at Canus when they saw him. Canus and Applejack put the baskets of apples away in the house and the three fillies followed them looking at Canus the whole time. "You know to some people staring is rude." Canus said looking to see what kind of reaction he would get from them both Applebloom and Sweetie shied away a little while Scootaloo just continued to look at him. Canus shrugged and looked to Applejack and asked "What's next on the chore list?"
"Well there's more trees that need buck'n." Applejack said but Applebloom ran up to her and said "But sis ya said ya would help with fix'n up the tree house with us after ya finished bringing in those apples." pointing to where Canus and Applejack had dropped off the apples. "Aww shucks sorry sugarcube I would but I ain't done yet." Applebloom started to give Applejack the puppy dog eyes and unfortunately Canus caught the look. He could not say no to the cuteness.
"You know I could help them with that. I used to tinker from time to time I could probably help them out while you finish up." Canus said. Applejack's face scrunched up in thought before saying "Sounds like a good idea but be careful." She said to her little sister and her friends and all three of the fillies cheered and left out the door. Canus was about to follow them when Applejack ct him off and said in a very serious voice "If anything happens to her or her friends the demons of tartarus won't stop me from getting you." The amount of venom in Applejack's voice scared Canus he didn't know ponies could even show that much malice but then again Applejack was Appleblooms older sister so she would be protective. Canus collected himself then answered "Don't worry AJ I had a brother. I know you would come after me. If she was my sister I would probably be the same way."
Canus left and followed the three fillies who had gotten over their initial fear of him and started asking him questions. Most he was able to answer with no problem and after a while he started asking his own. "So any of you know what your cutie marks might be?" The topic had come up between them and he decided to see if he could lead them in the right direction.
"Not really." All three said in unison a small frown on their faces.
"Heh all of you already did what your cutie marks are and you don't even notice." Canus said chuckling to himself.
"What do ya mean?" Applebloom asked looking confused.
"I mean all of you could easily figure out what your cutie marks are if you were to figure out what you love doing most."
"I don't get it. Oh we're here." Scootaloo said pointing to a clearing that had the tree house Canus recognized from the episode that had it.
"So what was it you wanted to do?" Canus asked still looking over the tree house.
"Well we just wanted some help painting it a different color." Sweetie said. Canus got a cocky smile as he said "You sure you don't want a few upgrades?" The three fillies looked at him confused an then Scootaloo asked "Wouldn't we need supplies to do that?" Canus only looked at them with that same smile as he asked back "Don't worry about that but what would you want to add if you could add it?"
"Well I would want a lookout with a working lift system on top of the tree house. Somewhere I could see all of the trees on the farm." Applebloom said first.
"Would want a bigger crafting area so I could try more things at once." Sweetie said looking at the tree house.
"And I would want a half pipe so I could do some tricks on my scooter while were here." was Scootaloo's response.
'Wow these three are thick sometimes. Appleboom's is a basic thing that any budding mechanist would want, sweetie doesn't realize but hers sounds like it could be a stage for her singing, and Scoot's natural stuntman side would want a half pipe above ground for a more extreme experience.' Canus thought to himself as he looked over the tree house 'Wonder if I can use magic to make that happen. Heh can't hurt to try.' Canus's eyes slowly closed and he raised his hands towards the tree house. The fillies caught this and Scootaloo asked "Canus what are you doing?" Canus didn't answer since he was focusing on his magic at the time. Canus wasn't doing as well as he hoped he was making progress but he was having trouble focusing it to do what he wanted 'Holy shit. Working magic is like trying to grab water.' he thought to himself as the spell he was trying to form kept shifting and changing. 'Damn almost there.' Canus's hands and the tree house started to glow silver before the tree house changed. The main room expanded, a tower with a pulley system to form a crows nest sprouted from the top and stairs formed so anyone can access it, and finally the half pipe formed along the side with a safety net of vines quickly grew in place. The Three fillies watched in awe as their tree house grew the new additions and then all three in unison said "Thank you Canus." Canus didn't respond though and Scootaloo went up to him "Canus you all right?" She touched him with a hoof and he fell over landing hard, unconscious.

Canus opened his eyes to find black emptiness around him. "Uuuuh where the hell am I?"
"In your subconscious." A familiar voice said. Canus turned to see Dissonance behind him.
"Ok why are we in my subconscious?"
"Because your an idiot and tried to control chaos magic." Dissonance said absentmindedly flipping his coin.
"But I thought magic was something that you could control through intentions and it seemed to be working even though it was really hard to pull off. So are the rules different here or something?"
"No the rules are not different here but the magic is. You were lucky. Chaos magic can be controlled but only when certain requirements are met. Such as if it is funny, artistic, random, inspired." Dissonance stopped and looked to Canus who was giving Dissonance a flat stare.
"You knew about this but forgot to mention it."
"No I didn't forget but you never asked how magic could vary now did you." At that Canus face palmed at his own very obvious mistake now.
"You're and asshole you know that right."
"True but now you won't make the same mistake again right?"
"No because now I know a little more." Canus looked at Dissonance "I'm going to assume you won't give me a tutorial are you?"
"Nope." Dissonance said that confident smile of mischief on his face.
"So now what I just wait here to wake up?"
"Now I do this." Dissonance said walking up to Canus and slapping him across the face and making Canus's head snap to the side and blacking out from the unnatural amount of pain the simple hit had caused.

Canus's eyes snapped open and immediately sat up and wished he hadn't. his head felt like it was going to split open and he felt the sting from where Dissonance had slapped him AND his body felt sore all over. 'Note to self punch Dissonance across his face next time I see him.' After the wave of pain passed Canus regained his senses and found all of the mane six and the CMC looking at him with looks of relief. "You're ok!" the CMC said jumping up onto the bed and making Canus flinch from pain. He looked around and figured he was in the apple homestead in a guest room or something. "Are you ok?" Canus looked to Twilight who had asked the question.
"I'll be ok now but what happened?" He knew what had happened but he wanted to know how.
"You suffered from magical backlash. You've been unconscious for twelve hours." Canus was silent for several seconds before he asked "Twelve hours?" Twilight nodded "Holy shit." The girls flinched at the foul language "Note to self; never force chaos magic again. It will bitch slap you into next week." Canus moved to get up despite his aches but Twilight pushed him back down "No you're not going anywhere yet."
"Why not?"
"Do you know what magical backlash does to you?"
"Nope never had magic before. Remember?"
"Right. Well magical backlash can cause severe physical problems. You were lucky. the amount of magic that backlashed probably would have killed a pony but if you were to move too much after that you could hurt yourself more."
"So what? I'm fragile right now since the backlash didn't kill me?" Canus sarcastically remarked.
"Exactly." Twilight simply said not catching the sarcasm. That made Canus think for a moment before saying "Thanks for helping me."
Twilight abnd the girls gave a smile before Pinkie Pie came up "Well that's what friends do silly." Canus chuckled before replying back "I know but if any of you need a favor go ahead and ask I owe you that much at least. I probably owe you a few more Applejack since Twilight is probably going to keep me here for a night." everyone got a little laugh from that and Canus thought to himself 'If this is the second day what will the rest of them will be like.'

"The dragon is a unforeseen variable. Do we continue with the plan as normal?" A cloaked figure asked looking over a glass orb that had a image of Canus in it. The only thing noticeable about the cloaked figure being a horn from the way the hood rose off the forehead.
"No not as planed. Wait and watch for now. He may be useful. keep good tabs on him." A disembodied voice said.
"As you say." the cloaked figure faded away into the shadows.
A clawed hand picked up the glass orb 'If you join you will be spared.' The voice thought 'If not you will die.' and it crushed the orb and the image of Canus into oblivion.
