When Rainbow Dash and her regiment find themselves fighting off an endless wave of Unicorns, led by Twilight Sparkle, they realise that the only way that victory is possible, is if they all love and tolerate. The frenzy of gunfire and spells, cast by the Unicorns leaves the ponies slain amongst the field of battle. A time of destruction and death, but to be remembered only as the First Equestrian War. This story will take you on a journey through Rainbow's time in the war, and how it subsided to a Unicorn defeat, the whole idea of trench warfare brought to life in the pony universe.
