The Mimic
The First Assault
Previous ChapterNext ChapterLoud music was blasted at an extremely loud volume as a concert blared on in the center of town. Ponies screamed and cheered with joy as their favorite DJ played their favorite dubstep. A white, blue-maned unicorn stood on stage with her hooves on the records, her dark purple goggles covering her magenta eyes and a black music note on her flank. The Mimic made her way to the concert and stood at the back of the crowd, carefully observing the peculiar moves of the DJ as she swayed from side to side happily in perfect synchronization with the music. The Mimic reached a hoof into her mane and pulled out a black marker. She placed it in her mouth and professionally drew a black music note on her flank. She smiled and put the marker back in her mane. She then pulled out a thin red metal rod which she proceeded to bend into the shape of the frame of the DJ’s goggles. She took out two circular, round pieces of dark red glass and slowly inserted them into the metal frame. She placed her homemade goggles over her red eyes. She then sat down and reached into her mane with two hooves, not to take something out, but to reshape it. She pushed her mane to the right and forced it to spike forward. She now looked almost exactly like the DJ. She trotted around the crowd and silently made her way backstage where she hid, waiting for her prey to return. Ten minutes later, the music came to a stop. The DJ waved a hoof to the audience and turned around, making her way backstage where she would take a short break and return soon after. DJ Pon-3 trotted toward her water bottle, which was conveniently placed on a table in front of her. She levitated it upward using her magic and emptied it into her mouth. Before she could swallow, a rag was pulled over her head and into her open mouth. She gasped, inhaling some of the water as the rag was tied around her head and she was hurled to the ground. She attempted to cry for help, but the blood red rag in her mouth prevented her from doing so. She choked on her water before finally vomiting, causing serious injury to her oesophagus as the pressure built up from the vomit filling her blocked mouth. Eventually enough vomit was released from her mouth for her to breathe again and she started coughing and breathing heavily. Before she could figure out what was happening, her hooves were tied together and she was unable to move or scream. The Mimic dragged the DJ by the tail to the corner and dropped her. She smiled, kissed DJ Pon-3 in the forehead and bowed. The DJ took one final look at what seemed like her parallel self when everything turned black for the unfortunate mare as she was covered by a large sheet of maroon material and was knocked out.
