A Coronation is Shaken! 3 months after the defeat of Nightmare Moon by Celestia. 14th day of the new Calender "Sun Tyrant! Your end comes now!" The strange bi-pedal creature bellowed at Celestia as it charged towards her, each step shaking the ground from its foot falls. His mind was filled with levels of anger that could not hope to be matched by any. His mistress, his master, and at times, his lover, had been banished. His soldiers, hunted like foxes before the hounds of the Sun Tyrant. Now he was alone. Deep within the World's Edge Mountains he fled. He knew she would come for him. Knew she would finish what her now dead lover had started. He smiled, upon his hip slapped the head of Star Swirl The Bearded himself. The fool had challenged him during the last great battle, and he had beheaded the wizard. He took great pride in seeing the Sun Tyrant's face contort into sadness and anger each time the head slapped against his thigh plate. Celestia yelled and charged, the two meeting in the middle of the great chasm. All around, the decapitated, bloated, and slain bodies of the Solar Guard lay strewn across the one fervent forest. Which had been reduced to mere ashes. Its to be expected. That Nightmare Moon's greatest champion, born with pure darkness, would be so hard to put down. As the two of them separated, he noticed that her eyes were beginning to glow a deep white. His blood red eyes opened wide as a beam of pure sun energy impaled him to the wall on the adjacent mountain side. Blood pooled from under his helmet as the mutant of a claw clasped around the spear made of pure energy. She herself was in bad shape, one of her wings was bent at a haphazard angle and blood flowed from a plethora of cuts. His name was Nightmare, or as some knew him. The Azure Knight. Greatest of Nightmare Moon's Champions. Now he lay pinned to a mountain, by the very creature that had deprived him of his master. "NIGHTMARE! Its over! Your armies are routed. Your stronghold not but a pail now and as we speak it continues to be deconstructed by my little ponies. Even You master, Nightmare Moon has fallen. Why do you still resist me? Why do you still find the will to fight!" Celestia was standing right before Nightmare. His multiple mouths coughing up blood as he tried to break the spear of Light. His body was covered in a set of demonically possessed armor, a massive mouth across his left shoulder and his chest. Needle sharp teeth jutted out of the mouth as it hissed and snapped at anything. He himself had a long horn atop his head, almost like a unicorn if not that it was on his helmet. His legs were covered in the same azure plates as his chest and right arm as well as his head. Along the helmet there appeared to be a long frill of interlocking plates. His eyes glared down at Celestia, not answering her. "You leave me no choice. I will not give you the same pleasure as Nightmare Moon." Her necklase began to glow as it had in the battle between Nightmare Moon and her. Nightmare could feel himself growing weaker as he looked down, his eyes growing wide as he began to be encased in stone. Just like Discord which he had heard about. He growled as the stone now encased his head arms and chest. "Good by abomination. I hope you rot." Celestia spat her words with venom as Nightmare was no more. ~~~~~ "Day of Twilight Sparkle's Royal Coronation, One thousand and 5 years after the Banishing of Nightmare" The sound of breaking stone resounded thought a long forgotten valley, the long forgotten sight of a unknown battle. The skeletal remains of ponies scattered throughout the site began to shake as the mountain itself was shaking. On the side of the mountain, a massive claw burst through the rock, a bar of wavering light impaled through the rock. The three clawed hand reached down, gripping the bar and with just a snap of its wrist, shattered it easily. Within a few seconds, Nightmare burst forth from the wall. Landing on the skull of a pony he had butchered thousands of years ago, crushing it. "Free. Free at last. How long was I asleep? How long did I remain here? Had the Sun Tyrant's magic become so weak I was easily able to break it?" Nightmare stood there, not sure what had happened. Till the eastern sky lit up with a massive amount of lights. He began to make his way pasted the bone riddled clearing and up a large oak. The 7 ft 6 creature that was Nightmare gazed towards a majestic City on the side of a mountain. He growled, for the city flew the flag of the Sun Tyrant. With a roar, Nightmare began to sprint, Soul Edge still clutched within his claw as he darted between trees towards the castle. ~~~~~ Mean While at Canterlot Castle "We are gathered here today in celebration of a momentous occasion. My most faithful student, Twilight Sparkle, has done many extraordinary things since she's lived in Ponyville. She even helped reunite me with my sister, Princess Luna. But today, Twilight Sparkle did something extraordinary. She created new magic, proving without a doubt that she is ready to be crowned Equestria's newest princess. Fillies and gentle colts, may I present for the very first time, Princess Twilight Sparkle!" Celestia declared over the sounds of excited ponies, Twilight herself blushed as her crown was bequeathed to her head by Celestia. Shining in the background had a single stallionly tear fall down his eye at the sight. As the crown touched her head a choir began to play. "Thou Princess Twilight cometh." "Behold, behold." "A Princess here before us." "Behold, behold, behold." "Behold, behold (behold, behold)." "The Princess Twilight cometh." "Behold, behold (behold, behold)." "The Princess is." "The Princess is here!" As the choir finished, Celestia turned to a blushing Twilight, nudging her. "Say something, Princess." She smirked at her student turned Princess. Twilight coughed and turned towards the gathered ponies. "Oh. Um..." Twilight takes a moment to clear her throat. "A little while ago, my teacher and mentor Princess Celestia sent me to live in Ponyville. She sent me to study friendship, which is something I didn't really care much about. But now, on a day like today, I can honestly say I wouldn't be standing here if it weren't for the friendships I've made with all of you. Each one of you taught me something about friendship, and for that, I will always be grateful. Today, I consider myself the luckiest pony in Equestria. Thank you, friends. Thank you, everypony!" She finishes and the crowd goes wild.  Her brother as well as everypony else walks up to her right after. "Twilight! I'm so proud of you!" "Are you crying?" Twilight asked with a smirk. "Of course not, it's... it's liquid pride. Totally different thing." This statement causes Twilight to break into a fit of giggles, as well as the other mares, although Spike claw palms. Before the mares can resume talking, a loud crash comes from the train station. They watch is terror as the train, along with its screaming passangers topples off the edge and into the Everfree. A wounded guard pushes through the throng of panicking ponies and up to Celestia. "Noble Guardspony, what is going on?" "Its the Changelings isn't it?" "No wait! Its Discord again!" "I'm right here Pinkie, its not me." "O...Are you sure?" "Yes Pinkie. I am sure." "Okie Dokie Lokie" Finally the guards pony managed to speak. "A great beast comes for us all. It swats our best magic away like they were parasprites." The guard is extremely shaken up, and the sounds of battle begin to draw closer to all present. Celestia as well as the Mane 6, Luna, Discord, Shining Armor, and Cadance gathered behind of some 40 guards pony. Soon the reverberations as well as screams of terror filtered through the closed doors. Then nothing, just silence. Celestia began to grow uneasy, before the sound of a scream could be heard from behind the doors, till it was cut short. With a wet slop on the other side of the door, all was silent once more, till blood began to flow under the door, causing everypony present to scream or vomit, sometimes a combination of both. Then the pounding started. It started with a single pound on the door. Then another, and another. Slowly the door began to dent this way and that, till finally, with a cloud of smoke. All was silent once more before the sounds of metal scraping against tile was heard. The dust was blasted into the ponies faces with one single roar. "SUN TYRANT!" Standing before all of them was a very blooded Nightmare. Celestia could only stare in horror at the creature before her as with the others. She quickly looked to Luna, who was wearing a face of confusion. "O...no" was all Celestia could muster before Nightmare charged the guards with Soul Edge raised high.
