Chapter 4 Awoken

Previous Chapter

"Ow my head hurts like hell!" I yelled.

I opened my eyes to see a white room with a few beds and the only light was the sunlight coming out of the peaks of the curtain. 'I'm in a hospital? Man hospitals are creepy if video games taught me anything it would be hospitals are creepy. Why am I alone in this room, a hospital is a public place so why am I in a room alone?' It would be best to check around for anyone. Plus I feel fine to walk around so I need to stretch my legs. I got off my comfy bed a started to walk around but I almost fell on my face, that's what I get for being bed-ridden for a few days.

A few more steps and I got used to walking which means for people that didn't know I can move places. "Hello, anyone here...patient here that needs help." I asked to anyone who heard me. No one answered or came.

'Well this means something went down or the service sucks here or both.' I started to look around the hospital, the only light being from the peaks of the door, peaking through some of the doors, most of the rooms were a mess, pills everywhere, drawers opened and medical equipment everywhere. It looks like it was raided...weird. That's when I heard some shuffling coming from upstairs. I reached the stairwell, the stairs were by the main door. 'I could just exit and find out what's going on or I could go upstairs and could be possible murdered...ah damn it.' My curiosity got the best of me so I went upstairs. Each step I took my heart raced and as the creak of the final step my heart was as fast as it could.

I stood at the top of the stairs for awhile trying to calm my heart but when I heard a creak coming from a room close to me, I had to check it out before what ever it was sees me. I took my way over to the sound as quietly as I could. I eventually made it to the door of the sound but I didn't enter I looked through the window to be safe. What I was looking for shocked me, I was looking at a undead, skin-rotted, zombie. The zombie had one of his eyes popped out, he's clothes all cut and clawed out, and there was a clever in his right shoulder.

'No, this can't be possible! They took my world but I won't let them take this world! Okay, first things first find a weapon.' I started looking through rooms, most of them were empty rooms, until a room with most of the medical supplies gone except a small needle. I opened the door quietly so I don't lead any zombies right to me and quietly walked to the needle. I picked it up 'Not the best kind of weapon but it'll do.' I held the needle in my right hand and took a attack-stance. I quietly walked to the door where I saw the zombie, peeked through the window to show if he was still there, he was so I opened the door quietly and enough so I could fit in, just in-case it creaked because we don't want that do we.

I crawled in and quietly stepped over to him, too bad I stepped on a rubber duck... don't look at me how it got there. I looked at the zombie but he wasn't there 'Where did he go?' I looked to my right and there he is and he was looking at me. I didn't let it have a chance to come over as I stabbed him in his only eye. It growled at me and I kicked him in the stomach and knocked him down. I was going to stomp his face but it looks like he had different plans. He jumped at me but I dodged him at the last second. I ran over, kicked him before he got up, and took the bloody cleaver and place it in his head. The blade cut nicely, cutting right through the skull to the brain, his blood gushed out immediately.

I had to look away. Even though he was a undead killer but he was still human before, he had a family just like me. No matter how many I killed it still gets to me. 'Anyways, the needle is broken but the cleaver is okay but it won't stay like that forever, best to get to Twilight's house... oh no I was so caught up trying to kill him that I forgot about them...maybe they'll be okay...I just have to get there and figure up a plan later.' I looked over to a random room for no reason but I found a nurse with her throat slit. 'The bite didn't kill her but something sure did.' I thought while exiting the hospital.

Author's Note

Well that was a short chapter but I didn't want to go any further. I'm thinking about putting another character in here to tell some back-story about somethings David encounters. I'll get started on the next chapter. May take while though.
