Beep! Beep! Beep! Spike McDougan woke up and looked around his three-room cabin at the edge of Camp Half-blood on Long Island New York. "Why do I set my alarm clock for so early?" Spike said slowly as he awoke from his Dragon-like slumber. He lived by himself, in a cabin he won in a bet against Dionysus. Well at least I don't  have to get shoved into the Hermes cabin like everyone else." Spike proclaimed as he slowly crawled to the bathroom to comb back his died green hair and prepare to feed his pet snakes and other reptilian animals. "I may have no friends but at least I have my pets." Spike said. Well, that wasn't entirely true. Spike used to have friends. Very good ones, in fact. Then that boy Perseus came along and everyone swooned at him. "Even Annabeth." Spike said gloomily. She used to be his mother figure, well, more like big sister but as close as he ever got to a mother. He never knew either of his parents, living in an orphanage his whole life, that is until one day he was attacked by a hellhound, and then taken to camp. Shaking it off, Spike wandered outside his cabin towards the archery range were he began his morning lessons. As the day wore on Spike grew more and more reclusive to everyone around him and merely enjoyed his own company. After his classes were done and he had some free time Spike continued on and went back to his cabin to enjoy the company of his reptiles. "If there is one thing I am good at, it is caring for reptiles." He thought as walked sluggishly up to his cabin.

Meanwhile in Ponyville

      "Spike, Wake up! We only have 20 minutes to get to the train station! The princess said she wanted us at the Crystal Empire as soon as possible this morning! We can't stand up the princess, can we?

"Twilight, you are a princess as well, does that not mean you are equals with her?" "That may be true, Spike, but I am still her student. Plus this is to discuss my new duties as a princess. Oh, I hope it isn't something too hard." "Relax,

Twilight, you'll do fine. Plus, we are going to the Crystal Empire. Emphasis on Crystals and you know what that means. Gems. To the train station!"

A fifteen minute wait and one long and boring train ride later

"Weeuuuuuwwwweeee! Your very first Princess Summit. You must be over the moon, Twiligh'." "Oh, I'm so excited, but, to be honest, I'm a little nervous, too." Twilight said as she and her friends, (and Spike, duh) wked from the train station to the Crystal Empire's large castle. Made entirely out of crystals, of course.

"You're nervousited! You just want to jump up and down and go Yay! Yay! Yay! But you also want to curl up in a teenie tiny ball and hide at the same time. We've all been there!" Pinkie proclaimed while rubbing the top of Twilight's head like she was a young schoolfilly. "I'm there almost every day." Flutershy whispered quietly from the back of the group, and, as usual, not a single pony heard and/or registered her input.

Don't you worry about a thing, darlin'. Everything is going to be just-" "Twilight! I apologize, Darling, but where in Equestria is your crown! You haven't left it back in Ponyville, have you?" Rarity proclaimed, interupting Applejack. "It's in my bag." Twilight said, while Spike patted Twilight's luggage to emphasize her point. "I just feel a little self conscious about wearing it." "Yes, but you are a princess now Twilight. Why if I had a crown like that, Why I'd never take it off, I would sleep in the thing!"

One long and boring walk later

As, they entered the thrown room, the Element Bearers, (and Spike, can't forget about him, now can we?) we're greeted by several guards blowing into trumpets. As she walked down the hall, stricken with awe like it was lightning, Twilight accidentally bumped into the new Captain of the Guard, commonly known as Flash Sentry. " Presenting, Princess Twilight Sparkle." The new Captain proclaimed as the group of ponies, (and dragon) walked down the aile. "Twilight!" Cadence, who was Twilight's former babysitter, exclaimed while embracing her old friend," I haven't seen you since the coronation!" "We have much to discuss, Twilight, but it appears that you and your friends are tired from your journey. We can save your duties until tommorow. For now, you need to rest."

Back on the planet commonly known as 'Earth'

As Spike was finishing cleaning up the terrariums in which he kept his beloved pets, a sound coming from his closet came to capture his attention. Afraid that one of his "hots" had escaped, Spike grabed his snake hook and slowly opened the door. As he looked within the door, he was prepared to be facing any number of dangerous reptiles. But what was before him, however, was a beast of which he had never bore witness to before. It was a very tall, thin bein with a bird-like claw, a lion paw, a donkey hoof, a reptilian foot and tail, as well as a horse head. "Hello!" The beast said. "Sup," Spike replied. He probably should have been freaking out, but hey, he was a demigod, he had seen weirder. "Oooohhh, the weird monkey thing can talk! And it doesn't even freak out. Oh, yes, I like you! How would you like to go to another dimension! You can bring all this stuff with you if you like. Yea, alright. Then the strange being prepared to snap his finger, but then he said," Oh, yea, Spike, if anypony asks, say Discord, the god of chaos sent you." " God of chaos, that's so aweso-" Spike was cut of as the strange creature, know clearly identified as 'Discord' teleported him, his cabin, and his snakes to this unknown dimension.
