The Secret Past Of Sunset Shimmer
The moon was big and bright. Princess Celestia looked to the sky in tears as she thought about her sister. Luna... As the Princess was bought back to reality, when Philomena flew through the window.
"Philomena? Where is Sunset Shimmer?" She asked the phoenix.
Shortly after Sunset Shimmer teleported into the room looking for Philomena. The orange unicorn paused when she saw Princess Celestia. Her eyes slowly and awkwardly drifted over to Philomena.
"There you are! Never do that again, you can't just bother the Princess whenever you want!" Sunset Shimmer shouted at her Phoenix.
Celestia looked to her student, "Its no trouble Sunset, please don't worry." She was trying to keep the sadness out of he voice but Sunset Shimmer knew what was going on.
The unicorn hugged the Princess, she knew about her sister and knew she loved her more than anything in Equestria. Princess Celestia smiled, and they laid down. The Princess felt that Sunset, was like her sister. She cheered her up when she was upset, they'd lay together, and sometimes they shared laughs. A tear came to her eye.
"Princess?"
Celestia realized she was crying and quickly wiped her tear. "Its, just. You might not think the same as I but I think that you remind me of my sister, Princess Luna." Another tear dripped down.
Sunset Shimmer smiled to her teacher and laid with her. They both looked to the stars lost in thought. Luna I miss you. I love you please forgive me...
Soon both of the mares fell asleep together. The room was silent, when Princess Celestia woke up. She froze, seeing a misty figure of her sister standing right in front of her. They stared at each other, face-to-face until Celestia gained the courage to speak to her lost sister.
"Sister.." She said under her breath.
"How come you don't love me?" The figure yelled at The Princess in shock.
Celestia couldn't speak. "I- I do.." she whispered.
"No you don't! You replaced me!" She looked at Sunset Shimmer who was still asleep.
"Luna, she just reminds me-"
"NO! I HATE YOU!!" The shadow-like figure of Luna screamed, before it fades into nothing.
Princess Celestia didn't know what to say, or do. She was paralyzed. How, could she tell me she *hates** me?* She then awoke in tears. Princess Celestia realized it was only a nightmare. She looked to Sunset Shimmer who was still asleep, peacefully. She smiled, and drifted back to sleep.
This time she woke up and Sunset Shimmer was wide-awake. She looked her and whispered something.
"What was that Sunset Shimmer?" Princess Celestia said.
She repeated it but it was still to faint to hear.
"I apologize, please speak up."
This time Sunset shouted at her "HOW COULD YOU?? YOU'RE A TRAITOR! I'M JUST NOTHING TO YOU, YOU JUST WANT YOUR SISTER!! I'M ONLY A REPLACEMENT AREN'T I!?" Tears dripped down both their cheeks.
Princess Celestia woke once more in the silent room. She couldn't stop thinking about Luna. It hurt inside her.
The Secret Past Of Sunset Shimmer
Dear Princess Celestia, I- I Sunset Shimmer was face to, er- paper, with a blank letter. She let out a sigh and put down her quill.
She looked to the majestic phoenix aside her, "Philomena, why can't I focus today!?" She asked the bird.
Philomena tilted her head and stared at the mare blankly. Sunset Shimmer extended a hoof and Philomena flew onto her arm. Sunset levitated her saddlebag onto her back, and stepped out of the door. The orange unicorn and her phoenix strolled into town.
"Hello, Sunset Shimmer!" Greeted one of the towns pony.
She smiled back to him, "Good day."
"Morning Sunset!" Said another.
Sunset Shimmer smiled and waved.
She was greeted by several other Canterlot citizens on her way to the Castle, to see her teacher. As she walked into the door Philomena flew off of her and went to accompany Princess Celestia, who was sitting on her throne. Sunset Shimmer shyly smiled to her teacher, as she trotted over to her throne.
Princess Celestia looked up to the orange unicorn, "Hello, Sunset Shimmer."
"Good morning, Princess!" Sunset Shimmer was always a loyal student. Out of everypony in Canterlot, Princess Celestia was who she looked forward to seeing the most.
"Have you been working on your magic studies?"
Sunset Shimmer blushed, "Of coarse!"
The unicorn ran up to her teacher and gave her a hug. Sunset Shimmer thought of Princess Celestia as almost a mother to her, she'd always be there to comfort her, and besides her pet Philomena, the Princess is who she grew closest to.As she hugged Princess Celestia, Sunset Shimmer felt like nothing else existed in the world. It was... nice.
"Princess!" Sunset and Princess Celestia looked up and saw Raven, the Princesses secretary, holding papers.
The Princess pulled away, "I apologize, but I have some duties to attend."
Sunset nodded to her, and called Philomena. The phoenix shortly joined her, and they left the castle. Princess Celestia, shes so *beautiful** and kind. Wait, do I- I love her! No! I can't be in love with her, she is my teacher! But, I do! Ugghh what do I do?* She couldn't shake her thoughts. As Sunset trotted through town she approached the spa.
"What can I do for you?" The mare at the counter asked.
"Mud bath please." Sunset replied handing her hoof full of bits.
"Right this way."
"Ahhh.."
Philomena stood on the side of the bath, next to Sunset Shimmer. She looked up and saw a young white unicorn filly with a purple mane, having a spa day with her mom. She smiled and laughed, which made Sunset smile. It's nice to see young fillies smile. It reminds me of- *Princess Celestia.*** She frowned knowing the idea of her crushing on the Princes was still in her head.
