This morning was different then the others. Thunder Shock woke up when Lyra jumped on top of him in the morning. There was no food in the fridge. The TV wouldn't turn on, and worst of all, Celestia never came, only a note. When Thunder Shock found it, he read it.

"Dear Thunder Shock." it began. "I regret to inform you but I pulled a muscle while testing your shield the other day. I am too weak to do much of anything, and Luna has to use her healing spells to assist the nurses. We will resume lessons as soon as possible. Keep practicing though."

Thunder Shock put the note down. He thought for a few seconds then used his magic to grab it, crumple it up, and toss it in the trash.

"Ehh whatever. She'll be ok soon enough." he said and he sat back on the couch.

Lyra walked into the room. "Morning Thunder. How are you today?"

"We already discussed this Lyra."

"Yeah I know, just making conversation."

"Why won't the TV turn on?"

"Bills too high, they had to cut our TV. I tried to get them to give us a royal reduction, but you weren't here when they needed proof."

"A royal reduction?"

"Any royalty or ponies who are spending a lot of time with the princesses get half off bills."

"Oh, well lets head down to the TV company and get our money back."

"But don't you have training today?"

"No, Celestia and Luna are both unable to teach today."

"Oh no, that sucks."

"So, we going to the TV company or what?"

"Oh yeah sure, just let me get my purse."

"Since when did you carry a purse?"

"Good point."

Then the two left the house and went to the TV company. When they arrived, there was one dark gray male pegasus at the front desk doing some paperwork.

"Oh hello." he said when Thunder Shock stepped on a creaky floorboard.

"Hello sir, whats your name?" Thunder Shock asked.

"I am Techno Flash. What do you need sir?"

"Well, Techno, I'm Thunder Shock. My umm, friend, Lyra here lives with me and she had to pay full price for her bills." he said putting emphasis on the word friend.

"Oh, my mistake sir. When she said she lived with you I didn't believe her."

"Its ok, just give us our money back and we'll pretend this never happened."

"Right away sir. Give me a minute." Techno Flash ran off to a backroom with a large glass window. Thunder Shock and Lyra watched what he did through the window. Techno went to a file cabinet and looked around in some files. After a while he went over to a vault and entered a combo. He looked at the file again and reached into the vault. he pulled out an arm full of bits and Techno Flash went back to the front desk.

"Here you go, this should be about it." he said putting the bits on the table.

"You should've brought your purse." Thunder Shock whispered to Lyra.

Lyra glared at him.

"Ok ok, I got this." then Thunder Shock levitated the pile of bits. "Well, shall we go now?" he asked Lyra.

"Yes, lets." she replied.

Then the two left the building. They headed down the road back to Lyra's house. And on the way, Thunder Shock asked a question that stopped Lyra in her tracks.

"So, hows the portal to the human world coming along?"

"Oh, umm, good so far."

"Your not telling me something." he said looking at Lyra intently.

"No, no I'm not. I'm telling you everything." she said a little sheepishly.

"Don't tell me, you lost the spell book."

"No, I found the spell yesterday."

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"I wanted to ask you something. Something important."

"And that is?"

"I can't ask you in public." she said blushing.

"Fine, ask me when we get back."

The two walked in silence the rest of the way back. When they got home, Bon Bon was sitting on the couch watching TV.

"Hey guys, the telies fixed!" Bon Bon said.

Then Thunder Shock levitated the bit stack into the house. Bon Bon's jaw dropped.

"Oh my go, with this many bits, we'll never go hungry!"

"Bon Bon, don't you have something to do. In your room."

"No, are you all right?"

Lyra quickly elbowed, or kneed I guess, no clue what it is really, Bon Bon in the side and she got the memo.

"Oh yeah thats right. I have to go, check on my, Turkey." she said thinking of an excuse. And with that, Bon Bon left the room shut her door, and looked through a crack in the door to watch what happened.

"So umm Thunder Shock."

"Yeah?"

"The reason I didn't tell you about the spell working is."

"Go on."

"Is."

"Yes?"

"I have a crush on you! I didn't want you to leave me. I'm sorry, I know your going to hate me forever now." tears started welling up in Lyra's eyes.

"Lyra." Thunder Shock said a little softer than usual.

"No, don't look at me, I'm so sorry." she said started to cry.

"No Lyra, its ok."

Lyra looked at him and sniffled. "Really?" she asked.

"Really. I think its sweet that you'd do that."

Lyra stopped crying now, but the tear streams still shined on her face.

Thunder Shock wiped the tears from her face and looked into Lyra's eyes. Then Lyra blushed. They stared into each other's eyes. Lyra's still shining with tears.

"Thunder Shock, what are you...." she was ct off by a yellow hoof silencing her.

"Shhh." Thunder Shock said then leaned in and kissed Lyra on the lips. When he released. He looked into Lyra's eyes.

"Lyra, I love you too."

"So, will you go out with me?" she asked trying to contain her excitement and barely doing so.

"Lyra, we practically were already. Plus, I didn't think you'd really have to ask." After he said this, Lyra had to try so hard to hold in her excitement that she practically exploded.

Bon Bon screeched with joy in her room and jumped back from the door and started doing a victory dance. Don't ask why SHES doing it.

When things calmed down and it went back to normal, Bon Bon went into the living room and hugged Lyra. Then she went over to Thunder Shock and stopped just short of hugging him.

"Oh sorry, I was just so excited, took me a bit to realize how awkward it would be." Bon Bon apologized.

"Its ok." Thunder Shock said and hugged Bon Bon.

They all sat down next to each other on the couch in a row with Lyra in the middle.

"Lyra."

"Yes?"

"Can you make the portal to the human world?"

"Oh, sure, I guess, if you really want to leave me." she said getting up and heading to her spell book.

"You know, you could always become a human with me."

Lyra paused as if the thought just occurred to her, which it did. She said one thing in response. "Ok."

Lyra then began casting the spell.

When the portal was up she asked Thunder Shock one thing. "Thunder, give me your power. If you give me enough, I can open the portal and keep it open forever."

"Ok, how?"

"Just focus on me and mimic my every move."

Lyra did some cuckoo version of the chicken dance and Thunder Shock copied her. Bon Bon laughed at them. And eventually, the glow on Lyra's horn grew twice as bright and she stopped the bizarre dance. She focused on the portal again. After a few seconds, it flashed red and the rim of it became more solid and less wobbly.

"It is ready." Lyra said.

"Ok, I'll just test it." Thunder Shock stepped through the portal and he appeared in a closet, classic. He opened the door and went up to a mirror. He was human. He went back to the portal and stuck his arms through. He grabbed Lyra's shoulders and pulled her through.

"LYRA, we made it, back to the human world!" Tim said.

"Yay!" she shouted.

"But you'll need a new name, Lyra isn't so human."

"Well, I've been studying humans for a while now, and I think I can name myself. I'll be Ruby."

"Ok, good." the two hugged each other then kissed when a third voice came from the closet. It was Bon Bon.

"Great, so now that we're here, what do we do?" Bon Bon asked.

"You go back and hide the portal. And guard it with your life." Lyra said. I mean Ruby. God, this is going to be hard.

"Why do you get all the fun?"

"Because we have to have someone make sure the portal is safe and Thunder Shock and I are staying here!"

"All right." Bon Bon muttered and went back into the pony world.

"So Ruby, whats our story?" Tim asked.

"We'll figure it out." she said. "Oh, and whats your human name?"

"Tim."

They hugged when a familiar female voice came from below. It was Tim's mom.

"Oh crap." Tim dashed downstairs and started talking to his mom. Lyr...RUBY crept down the stairs behind him.

"Tim, you weren't napping very long." his mom said.

"What do you mean?" he asked. Just then, the last pinkie clone was destroyed on the TV.

"About half an hour. Oh, is that your girlfriend? I didn't notice her come in."

Tim looked back to see Ruby standing at the bottom of the stairs holding her arm for no reason.

"Thats because shes very sneaky." Tim said.

"Oh ok."

"We were about to go out for a while."

"Oh, well, have fun you two." she said with a smile.

Tim motioned for Ruby to follow him and they both got in his car. They drove around town and had their first official date. The two had a fun time. And their relationship never faltered. They stayed together. Every once in a while they visited Ponyville again. They were a happy couple. But little did they now what was going to happen to them next!
