The annoying alarm clock blared in Tim's ear. BEEP BEEP. The persistent alarm clock would not shut up until Tim woke up and told it to. It is it's job after all to wake him up every day at precisely 6 AM so Tim can get ready for school, it takes a while to get ready for a day in college you know. Every day the same routine, the alarm clock goes off Tim wakes up and slaps the snooze button and half an hour later it odes it again and he decides to wake up and go to school. But today is, different. Tim is going home for Spring Break. He hasn't seen his family in quite some time, being a college student, the most he hears of his family is his mother's voice over the phone when he begs for more money. BEEP BEEP BEEP. The alarm clock screamed in his ear again. Tim got up and ripped the cord of the clock out of the wall. "Its Spring Break." he said. "Don't wake me up!" "Morning sleeping beauty." Tim's roommate, Chad, said from the laptop fully awake and playing League of Legends. "Hey Chad." Tim said with a yawn. "I'm going home for Spring Break, so I can't play League." "All right bro. I'll just, be here." "Ok, whatever." Tim stifled a yawn. "Hey man, where's the coffee?" "Oh, I put on a fresh pot." "Ok thanks." Tim grabbed the pot and poured a cup. He drank it all and instantly woke up. "Wow, dude, did you mix it right today? It actually woke me up!" "Yeah, I know, I put some Dan Ger in it. It said caution: makes it difficult to sleep." "Aww man dude, did you break into the science lab again?" "Maybe." "You really are an idiot you know that?" "Yeah, but your League team needs me." "Would've settled for anyone else, but you are pretty good with cho gath." "I know. Well, I guess I'll see you later man." "Yeah, see ya Chad." Tim said as he stepped out of his dormitory and headed to the front doors. When he arrived at his white Monte Carlo he adjusted the seat, sat in it, started it up and drove home. After a while he got bored so he turned on the radio and was surprised to hear a Katy Perry playlist. "Good old Chad." he said laughing. When he arrived home his parents and little sister, barely able to walk ran out to him and hugged him. "Oh Tim we missed you so much!" his dad said. "Need more money this time? More than I can put in an envelope?" his mom asked. They laughed. "Not this time, just wanted to spend some quality time with my family." Tim replied wiping a tear from his eye. "Tim Tim I drawed this for you!" his little sister said. Holding up a paper with a crude drawing of him hugging her in a big heart. "Aww thank you Julie, that's why your my favorite." he said messing up the little girl's hair. "Wait, I thought I had a little brother too, I'm not imagining things again am I?" "Oh no, Junior is inside watching his favorite show on TV." his mom said. "All right, I'm gonna scare the little scamp. Come on Julie, follow me but be really quiet." he said putting a finger to his lips and motioning toward the door to emphasize his point. The little girl nodded and the two crept up to the house, through the open door and behind the couch. "Now?" Julie whispered as quiet as she could. "Now." Time mouthed, and the two jumped up shouting "BOO" and scared Frank Hiatus Junior witless. "What was that for?" Junior asked. "For not coming and saying hi to me." Tim answered. "Boo!" Julie said again. "Good job Julie, high five." Time congratulated the little girl and shooed her back toward her parents. Tim jumped over the back of the couch and sat next to Junior. "Whatcha watching?" "My Little Pony." "Sounds a little girly, please tell me its got a bad guy or something." "It does, it has many, there's this one dragon guy named Discord, and he spreads chaos by changing things into more evil versions." "Sounds cool I guess." Tim said as he readjusted his posture to be more comfortable and started watching the show. After a few hours of Tim asking questions every 5 minutes, often the same question already asked, Tim decided he didn't like the show. "Well little bro, the show sounds more interesting than it really is, and whats up with that Pink pony, is she on a never ending acid trip or something?" "No, shes just really hyper." "Oh, well anyways, I'm tired after that drive, so I'm gonna go take a nap now. See you in a few hours" Tim said heading into the attic. He left when Pinkie was walking into the cloning pool. He went to his bed lied down, pulled up his covers, and fell asleep *** When he woke up, Tim felt different, he couldn't quite tell what felt different, everything felt natural, but he knew something was wrong. He looked around and everything was bright and vivid and very cartoonish. He got up and stretched. Then he pushed him self up onto his hind legs. He felt very dizzy. "God dang it Chad, I'm gonna kill you for being such a retard." he said as he fell onto all fours again. "I'd be careful talking like that around here, and who is Chad?" a voice behind him asked. "AHHH," he shouted and turned around, "you know its very rude to sneak up on people right? And hey, where are you? Heck, where am I?" "Oh sorry, forgot I was flying." Tim could tell this voice was feminine, and familiar, so familiar he should be able to pin a name to it. It wasn't family, not that familiar, but not a good friend, more familiar than that, someone he just met and spent a lot of time with. Wait, flying? "You didn't answer my question, who are you and where am I?" he demanded as a purple alicorn gently flew down into sight. He was taken aback by this sight. "An alicorn? But those things aren't real, they're myths!" "I'm Twilight Sparkle, and you're in Ponyville, and by the way, alicorns are the most ancient race of pony ever." "Wait, Twilight Sparkle, Ponyville?" Tim burst out laughing and fell onto his stomach and started banging the ground with his hoof. Hoof? He didn't care, he was too busy busting his gut laughing like a mad man. "Yes, and why are you laughing?" "Oh wow, Chad is a complete retard, this 'Dan Ger' stuff he put in the coffee must be like hallucination juice or something." "Who is Chad and whats this Dan Ger stuff, whats coffee?" "Ok, so Chad is my college roommate." "So your friend?" "Well, I'm not quite sure friend is the word but sure, lets go with that, anyways, he wakes up way before me and makes coffee, its this brown stuff that gives you energy, and he broke into the science lab and stole something that said danger and he thought it was Dan Ger." "Wow, I can't believe I've missed two ponies entering Ponyville. I have to inform Pinkie Pie right away!" Twilight spread her wings and was about to take flight when Tim grabbed her ankle. "Wait, so this is real? This is seriously happening?" "Yes." "Oh man, I'm going in the looney bin after this for sure. Twilight, kick me right now." "Are you crazy? Why would you want me to do that?" "Just do it!" "All right, but you asked for it, literally." Twilight took her rear hoof and smashed it at full speed into Tim's face. "OW, that really hurt!" "Yeah, I know." "This isn't a dream, its really happening, oh God, what have I done for this cruel and unusual punishment?" "Who's God? Did I miss 3 new ponies entering the city? Aww man Pinkie, shes going to go berserk!" "No, Twilight, Chad is a human, just like me, only hes in the human world. And God, hes a god, you can't really explain him any other way." "I hate to inform you, but all of those statements can't be true, humans are extinct, your a unicorn, the human world is this world's past, and Celestia and Luna are the only 'gods' in Equestria." "What, no way? Oh and before you go talk to Pinkie, can you take me to the hospital? You kicked me so hard my blood is coming out of every hole in my head, even my ears." Twilight inspected Tim's face closely. "Yes, your injured badly, I shall drop you off at the hospital, but you must learn how to transport!" And with that Twilight lifted Tim onto her back and flew off to the hospital. When she arrived, she dropped him in the waiting room, demanded he be looked at instantly, explained what happened and went off to meet Pinkie Pie. Tim went unconscious during the flight due to blood loss. When he woke up he had a bright light burning out his retinas. "GAH, make it stop make it stop!" he shouted holding his eyes. "He is awake and well, I shall leave you with him Nurse Redheart." Said a very masculine voice. "Ok sir." replied a much lighter female voice and Tim heard a switch being flipped and the light power down. "Who are you?" Tim asked. "I'm Nurse Redheart, whats your name?" the nurse replied "I'm Tim. I just appeared here earlier today with no clue as to whats happening." "Well, your in the hospital now, your completely fine, but a little shaky from your loss of blood, the princess has your bill covered, and sir, Tim is not a name that has ever been used here for trillions of years, I know its not your real name." "Well, then I don't know my name." "A case of amnesia I see, completely normal sir, I'm just going to have to give you a check up. Now open your mouth please." Tim did as he was told and the doctor went through the check up. "Now, for the last part, I have to remove your blanket sir." "But, I'm not wearing anything under there." he complained. "I'm only wearing this hat sir, hardly anypony in Ponyville wears clothes." "So, this is a town full of whores?" "No sir, this world does not have one whore, the closest to one is the twins at the spa." "So, its normal to see people's junk here?" "People's? Oh dear, not again, your suffering from humitis." "Humitis?" "Yes, humitis, its a very severe disease in which the victim believes he is a human!" "You must be mistaken, I'm clearly a human." Tim said holding out his arm as if to demonstrate his human hand and was surprised to see a yellow hoof. "What the hell?" he was confused as he checked himself over and realized for the first time that he was a yellow pony with black stripes. What did Twilight say he was? A unicorn? Yeah, that's right, so that means he has a horn and can do magic. "Sir, don't use that word ever again. You can get arrested for saying 'hell'." "Sorry, uh nurse, whats your name ma'am?" "Nurse Redheart." "Ok, Redheart, is there a mirror I can use anywhere?" "Yes sure, here you go." she said as she handed Tim a hand mirror, or a hoof mirror as the ponies would call it. He looked at himself in the mirror in disbelief. "I'm a yellow pony, with black stripes, and a white mane and tail tipped with red?" "Yes sir, and your cutie mark is a lightning bolt." "My cutie whatsit?" "Your cutie mark, the thing that tells you your special talent." He panicked to think of what to say to get out of this conversation. "Oh, its all flooding back to me now." he lied. "I'm a pony, I flunked magic school." he said to explain the lack of magic ability he had when he tried to levitate a cup of water to him. "And my special talent is controlling the weather." "Good, now do you remember your name sir?" Tim quickly thought through what to say. "My name is, Thunder Shock!" he announced triumphantly as if he was so satisfied with his lie like it meant he'd won the lottery many times over. "Well Thunder Shock, all we could find where you appeared was this blue watch, we aren't sure who owns it, but we figured it was yours." Nurse Redheart slipped him a fairly cheap watch with a blue strap. "Thank you." he said as he strapped it onto his hoof and set it according to the time on the clock on the wall. "So, is there anything to do here or can I go now?" "Well we have to keep you here at least one night while you regain blood, but in the meantime you can read some books from this shelf." the nurse said guesting toward a large bookcase with a few books missing. "Well, this will be fun." he said obviously unamused. "I have to go check on some other patients, if you need anything just hit the buzzer he said as she walked out the door and shut it behind her. "Time to test my magic" he said to himself as he attempted to levitate the lightest book over to him. To do so, he focused all of his energy on the base of his horn. He barely got it halfway to him when he ran out of energy and dropped it. "Phew, I need that nurse." he thought out loud and he reached for the buzzer which was just out of reach a couple inches. "Oh come on!" he complained. He thought for a second. "Maybe I'm using the wrong muscles?" he said to himself. He tried to levitate the buzzer to him focusing his energy a little further up his horn. This time the levitation was easier, of course the buzzer was much lighter than the book. When the buzzer got to him, Tim, I mean Thunder Shock, hit the button to get a nurse. A pegasus nurse he didn't know almost instantly walked in. "What do you need?" she asked sweetly "Yeah, uh, I'm not so good with magic, so I was wondering if I could get a unicorn nurse to teach me magic." Thunder Shock asked. Or was it Tim? "Sure, just give me a second." the nurse said as she walked out the room. A minute or two passed and a new nurse walked into the room. "Hello Thunder Shock, I heard you need a magic lesson?" "Yes, I could only get that book there." he said pointing to the book. "Well, I'm not really a magic teacher, but I guess I could try, maybe It'll count as overtime." she quietly added the last part. "All right, so lets start with something small. Like that flower. Focus your energy on the tip of your horn and just imagine what you want the flower to do." Tim, I mean Thunder Shock, did as he was told and got the flower to him almost effortlessly. "Wow, you're a natural!" the nurse said. "Most ponies fail even that test!" "Really? That was so easy." "Yes, really, then again, most ponies who need that are children." "Oh, well next time don't add that part." "Is that all for now?" "Yes, thank you." "Your welcome." she said then trotted out the room and shut the door gingerly. Thunder Shock looked at the bookshelf, picked the most interesting looking book and tried to levitate it to him. The effort left him with nearly no energy, so he decided to take a nap. He'd read Daring Do in the morning. It didn't take him long to fall asleep, it was a long and dream filled sleep. He dreamed of his family back in the human world, would he ever see them again? Is it just his subconscious here and his body is still on the bed? Would he get used to his new name? There are many other questions he had, but lets not get into that. //-------------------------------------------------------// Sunday //-------------------------------------------------------// Sunday Tim woke up when the unknown pegasus nurse walked in and gave him a quick check up. "Good morning Thunder Shock, just checking up on you." "Morning." he said with a yawn. "Say, whats your name?" "Nurse Redcross." "Oh god," he thought to himself, "does everyone here have a cheesy name?" "Well, you're looking good, according to this you can leave whenever you want." "Wow, really?" "Yes, you've got an unnaturally fast recovery rate. You still have a terrible bloody nose, he could even still be broken, just keep this on at all times." she said as she fastened a bandage on Thunder Shock's nose. "Ok then, I think I'll check out." he said as he got up and headed toward the front desk, the nurse by his side. "If anything happens just come back and tell us ok?" "All right." he said as he signed his name on one last form and walked out the door. Thunder shock looked around. Where was he going to go? "Uh, excuse me." said a quiet voice behind him. Thunder Shock turned around and looked for anything alive, but could only find grass and a bush. "Hello?" he asked. "Uh, yes, I was there when you appeared here." "Twilight? You sound different." "No, not Twilight, I was scared of you so I hid in the bushed like I am now, see?" the voice said as a yellow pony with a pink mane parted some bush strands to make a hole. "Oh, and who are you?" he said starting to walk toward the bush. "EEP." she screamed and dashed into town. "What was that?" Thunder Shock asked to no one in particular. "That was Fluttershy, shes very shy, but shes a good friend when you get to know her." Twilight said. "GAH, where the hell did you come from?" Twilight glared at Thunder Shock. "Do NOT use that word here in Equestria." "Sheesh ok. Just tell me, where did you come from?" "I was watching you the whole time, did you know you sleep talk?" "Wait, so now your a stalker?" "Sort of." "Well, can you tell me what to do next?" "Go down the road a block take a right, first building on your left is Sugarcube Corner, talk to Pinkie Pie, she will take you from there." "Umm ok then, thank you." Thunder Shock said as he proceeded to follow Twilight's instructions. When he arrived at Sugarcube Corner, nobody was there so he looked around at the wares. After a couple minutes a blue pony with an odd pink mane went up to the counter. "Hello sir, how may I help you?" "Twilight told me to come here and talk to Pinkie Pie." "Ok hun, one second. PINKIIIIIIIIIE PIIIIIIIIE. GET DOWN HERE, SOMEPONY'S HERE FOR YOU." "Who is it?" someone upstairs responded a little muffled from the ceiling, or floor, depending on what floor your on. "I DON'T KNOW, BUT ITS A BOY!" A pink land pony fell down the stairs obviously in a rush. "A boy, for me, no way!" she said excitedly as she dashed over to Thunder Shock and gave him a head to tail inspection. "Uhh, I came here because I just showed up yesterday and Twilight told me to come here." "Oh." the pink pony said looking a little disappointed. "They never come here for me. Wait, did you say you showed up YESTERDAY?" "Yes?" he replied a little confused. "OH GOODIE, come back in two hours!" she replied disappearing upstairs. "Who was that and why was she so, so, so." "Energetic?" the pony behind the counter asked. "Yes, energetic." "That was Pinkie Pie, shes always on a sugar high." "I see. And whats she doing?" "I'm not allowed to tell you, last time I did she went berserk." "Oh great. Should I come back?" "Yes. It's totally worth it. Trust me." "Oh, ok, what all can I do while I'm here?" "Well, there are other pony's houses, you could walk around and meet somepony. Or you can use the spa. The train station has a list of help wanted adds so you can earn some bits." "Bits?" "The currency in Equestria is little chunks of gold called bits, but don't feel ripped off when you work for 3 hours and only get 6 bits. Stuff here doesn't cost many bits." "Oh, ok thanks." he said as he checked his watch. 9:03. 1 hour 57 minutes left. He had lots of time, so he headed over to the spa to see the prices. "Lets see, spa spa spa." he said quietly to himself as he looked for the spa sign. He gave up after a while and went into the nearest open shop looking building. When he walked in, a bell rang. "Hello sir." A white filly smiled up at him. "Welcome to the Boutique, my name is Sweetie Belle, how may I help you?" "Oh, hello there, what do you sell here?" "Clothes." "How much money do you earn here?" "A lot!" "If you earn a lot then how come almost nobody wears clothes?" "Nobody?" "I'm sorry, noPONY." "Oh, that makes sense, and I have no clue." "Umm, do you need any help here?" "Well, my sister rarity does need help running the counter while she sews." "Oh, what good luck, I used to be a store clerk." "Really?" "Yeah." "Would you run the register please sir?" "How much will I get payed?" "A fourth of the sales you make and any tips you get." "All right. I'll do it then." Thunder Shock said as he went behind the counter. "If you need anything I'll just be wandering around." "Ok then Sweetie." Then Sweetie Belle wandered off and started talking to a classy looking stallion wearing fancy clothes. Then a greyish white pony with a blue mane and red eyes walked up to the counter and put a party dress on the counter. "I'd like to buy this please." she said not paying attention and started texting. Thunder Shock checked the price tag. "12 bits please." he said. "Here." said the pony placing the money on the counter, grabbed the dress, and dropped a bit in the tip can. "Wow, 4 bits in 10 seconds, I'm doing good." Time passed fairly quickly as Thunder Shock sat at the register, he kept track of the total money earned. Eventually he checked his watch again. 10:48. "Oh man, I have to get going. SWEETIE BELLE!" "Hello sir, I understand that Sweetie set you as the register guy?" "Yes, who are you?" "I'm Rarity, the owner of this store." "Oh, ok then. Well, I have to go, Pinkie Pie told me to meet her at Sugarcube Corner at 11." "Ok, how much did you earn while running the register?" "I earned 40 bits total so that's 10 bits for me and I got a 10 bit tip." "Ok, here." Rarity said as she pulled 20 bits out of an invisible pocket on her thigh and handed them to Thunder Shock. "Thank you." "No, thank you for running register." "Anytime." "Well, see you in a bit." "Umm ok then." Thunder Shock said as he headed back to Sugarcube corner. When he arrived, the lights were off and the door shut, but not locked. He checked his watch. 10:59. She won't care if hes a minute early right? He slowly opened the door, poked his head in and opened the door completely. Then he switched the lights on. "SURPRISE!!" about 20 ponies shouted. "Whats happening?" Thunder Shock asked as Pinkie Pie bounded up. "It's a party, I always throw a party for new ponies in Ponyville." She answered. "Awesome, hey, is that Rarity? How did she beat me here?" "She's a unicorn, she can teleport." "Oh, I see." "Well, what are you waiting for, its a PARTY WOOO!!!" Pinkie shouted as she dashed into the mess of ponies. Thunder Shock decided to wander in the crowd and meet some new ponies, still not quite sure if he likes Ponyville yet. "Oh, hello there, who are you?" a blue pony with a blue mane and a white stripe down the center asked. "I'm Thunder Shock, the new guy." "No way, you're the guy?" "Yeah, sure I guess." "Hey man, I'm Colgate." Colgate help up a hoof for a hoof bump. Thunder Shock hesitated then bumped Colgate's hoof with his. "Here, let me show you around." Colgate said grabbing Thunder Shock's leg and pulling him toward the center of the group. "This here, is Octavia, you don't see her at parties like this much, shes more for stuff like orchestra music." "Hello Octavia. I'm Thunder Shock." Thunder Shock waved friendly. "Hello." she said and she went back to her lonesome small very boring dance. "This mare, is my mane gal Vinyl Scratch." Colgate took Thunder Shock over to the pony that bought a party dress earlier, which she was wearing. "Hey Vinyl Scratch." "Yo bro, wassup, you godda try this stuff." she said, her speech slurred and looking a bit drunk as she held a cup of some green liquid up to Thunder Shock's face. "Umm, no thank you." he said as he pushed it away.. "This gal here." Colgate said and stumbled over some cords. "Is awesome. She is about the only pony you can really trust to stand behind you no matter what." she said with a hiccup. "And dude, whatever you do, don't drink what Vinyl offers, I feel like I'm gonna die." Colgate fainted randomly and hit the yellow pegasus's leg. The yellow pegasus turned around confused and saw Thunder Shock. "EEP." she screamed and turned around only to be cut off by a group of ponies. "Uhh, hi." Thunder Shock said. "I don't believe we've met properly yet." "Oh yeah, I'm Fluttershy." she said shying away. "I'm sorry what did you say?" "I said, I'm Fluttershy." "What? This musics too loud." "I'm Fluttershy!" she said as loud as she dared. "I still can't hear you." "I'm Fluttershy," the song ended abruptly, "and I think you're cute!" Thunder Shock stared at her in shock. Fluttershy stood completely still and the color faded from her face. "Bad timing." Colgate managed to say while on the ground. Thunder Shock and Fluttershy stood there staring at each other and all nearby ponies stared at them also. Eventually Vinyl Scratch got up at the turntable. "YO PEEPS, who stole the disc?" she asked the crowd as she went to the disc rack and grabbed another one to put it. "Nobody eh? Oh well, they're a bit a dozen anyways. Now, lets get this party started back up!" Another song the exact same as the last one started up and Vinyl went back into the crowd. Everypony around them went back to dancing or talking, but Thunder Shock and Fluttershy still had eyes locked. As soon as a hole opened in the crowd, Fluttershy ran away towards the exit crying. Thunder Shock didn't know what to do, but decided to go after her. When he got to the exit, Fluttershy was sitting on the stairs to Sugarcube Corner. Thunder Shock sat down next to her. "So, you think I'm cute huh?" Thunder Shock asked "Yeah, don't remind me." she said refusing to make eye contact. "You know, I think you're kinda cute too." he lied to make her feel better. Fluttershy wiped a tear from her face. "Really?" "Yeah. You know, everyone in there probably forgot about you saying that." "You think so?" "Yeah, if I know party people, and I do, most of them are drunk and they'll forget things quickly. " "How do you know?" "Hey, when you live in college you learn a thing or two about parties. Anyways, I'm going back in there, you can too if you want." "Ok." And with that, Thunder Shock got up and went back into the party. He trotted around the crowd talking to random ponies and making a few friends. Eventually a turquoise unicorn bumped into him. "Oh, I'm sorry about that." she said. "No, its ok, this is a party after all, it happens." "Well, true." Their eyes met and their gazes locked. "My names Lyra." she said. "I'm Thunder Shock." he replied. They stared at each other awkwardly. "So, how are you liking the party?" Thunder Shock asked "I think its one of Pinkie's best." Lyra replied. "Really? Why?" "Because your here." "That's, so sweet." The two smiled awkwardly. They stood there in the most silent of awkwardness anyone could with dubstep at full volume in the background until a cream colored land pony ran up to Lyra. "Lyra," she shouted, "we have to go NOW!" "Why, what happened?" Lyra asked. "I just stole every disc besides the one that's playing and Vinyl is after me!" "Bon Bon, can you go 10 minutes without stealing something?" "Yes, its been 3 hours, that's why I took all the discs!" "Ugg, fine." Lyra said being dragged away by Bon Bon as she dropped a paper. Thunder Shock picked up the paper and unfolded it. Then he read it. The note said "Go down hoof lane, third house on right, see you there Thunder. From, Lyra." "Whatcha reading?" Fluttershy asked appearing from nowhere. "Nothing important." Thunder Shock replied trying to tuck it in the secret pony pocket. "Where's the pocket?" "Right here." Fluttershy said as she opened Thunder Shock's pocket up a bit. "Oh thanks." he said as he stuffed the paper in it. "Hey, what time is it?" Fluttershy asked. "It is two fifteen." Thunder Shock said checking his watch. "Oh my, I have to go feed Angel." Fluttershy said as she ran out the building. "What was that about?" Thunder Shock asked himself. "Oh, Fluttershy has a bunch of animals, her favorite, though she won't admit it, is her bunny Angel." Octavia replied. "Where did you come from?" Thunder Shock asked. "Technically, my mom." she replied "That's not what I meant." "It's never what anypony means." she said staring at the wall Thunder Shock slowly crept back to Colgate. "Whats her problem?" "She's all alone. She has nothing to do but practice being super smart and crap." Colgate said who then collapsed again. "Where is some of that? I need to forget tonight." "Oh relax and party." Colgate replied. "Dude, I'm so tired already, and it feels like I haven't been here for even 10 minutes! But, it's actually been four hours." "Here man, take this." she handed Thunder Shock some acid. Thunder Shock grabbed it, not knowing what it was and took a sip. Instantly he lost all sense of decency. He looked into the crowd. all of them melted into a huge rainbow puddle. He then grabbed the nearest thing he could and threw it randomly and grabbed another and continued throwing causing complete chaos. He went berserk. He destroyed everything. He only stopped when he was tackled by a grey pegasus with a yellow mane. "Woah, I never knew someone else in this town was like me!" she said "But green antelope pickle train." "What?" "Darf jibble wabble." "Dude, your worse than me." she said staying on top of him and slowly went into a sitting position on him. "Whats that feeling?" she said not noticing what she did to herself. "Plipur cheese wumbarfal." he said slurred obviously enjoying what was happening. "I, uhh." she said totally embarrassed as she realized what was happening. "NO, I'm not going to do that until I'm married!" she said as she flew off and smashed through a wall. Thunder Shock was laying on the ground completely wasted. Eventually he woke up sober in a different room and his hair messed up. "Aww crap. I hope that didn't happen." he said. Then he remembered the note in his pocket and he took it out. He checked his watch. 7:13. He made a mental decision to go to Lyra's house. When he arrived, he knocked on the door. It opened up and Lyra stuck her head out. She looked a little drowsy. "Thunder Shock?" she asked looking a little perked up. "Yeah, I saw your note and decided to come by, also, I don't have a place to sleep." "Oh, well come on in!" Lyra said opening the door completely and gesturing inside. "Thanks." he said walking in. "That way is Bon Bon's room, she should stay in there, just don't go in, shes completely wasted. The fridge is that way and the bathroom is over there. My room is that door, the guest room is that door." she said pointing to each item as she said them. "You can sleep on the couch there or in the guest room, your choice. I'm tired so I'm going to go to sleep. See you in the morning." '"See ya." Thunder Shock said as Lyra shut the door to her room. Then he looked around thinking, guest room or couch? Eventually he decided on guest room, so he went in, lied on the bed, and fell asleep. Tonight, he had a new question. How did he get sober and heal so fast? //-------------------------------------------------------// Monday //-------------------------------------------------------// Monday When he woke up, Thunder Shock went over to the fridge and grabbed an apple then ate it. The first food he ever ate on Ponyville. Maybe it was the pony in him, but he liked the apple more than he would in the human world. After the apple, he went to the bathroom and used the mirror. He licked his hoof and tried to smooth down his mane, but one lock of hair refused to cooperate and he kept patting it down and failing every time. He eventually gave up and walked out into the living room. He sat on the couch in the living room and looked at the TV. He looked for the remote in the usual places, you know, on the table, by the TV, on the coffee table, between couch cushions, behind the couch, in the bathroom, in his mythical pony pocket. When he found the remote he hit power but the TV didn't turn on. "What the hell?" he asked himself. "Aww man, why does she have to have a DVR?" he said the second he saw two more remotes by the TV. He set all three remotes next to each other and hit random buttons on all three hoping to turn it on. He eventually got it on and figured out how to change channels. He turned the channel to some random cartoon channel, after all, who doesn't love watching some cartoons after being trapped into a new world randomly, being in a hospital for a while, meeting someone your tempted to mate with, having a wild party late into the night, getting drunk, and waking up at said party after possibly getting laid several times over while unconscious? He was watching TV for a couple minutes when Lyra walked out. "Morning Thunder." she said with a yawn as she made herself some toast. "Morning Lyra." he responded. "You want some toast?" "No, I had an apple already." "Oh, ok, want another?" "Sure, why not." "Here, catch." Lyra said as she threw an apple to him. Thunder Shock caught it with a little difficulty, he was still getting used to his hooves. "Thanks." he said after he got a good hold of it. Lyra trotted over and sat next to him on the couch and started watching TV while the toast levitated next to her. The two sat on the couch, ate breakfast, and watched TV together. After a while, Bon Bon walked in. "Morning Bon Bon." Lyra said. "Will eh doot murnang to yuh too." she replied slurring her words together. "Still on the hangover I see." "Who can yuh toll?" "Well, almost nothing you say is a word and your slurring your words." "Ten who ken yuh endurstund muh?" "I'm a unicorn remember?" "Eh." Bon Bon stumbled to the fridge grabbed a few apples and wandered back to her room and shut her door. Lyra and Thunder Shock sat in silence. Not awkward. Ok, a little awkward, not very awkward, not as awkward as awkward silence but more awkward than normal silence. So the two sat in semi-awkward silence. "So, hows it going?" Thunder Shock said to break the silence. "Pretty good." Lyra replied. Then they were quiet again. This silence was just a tad more awkward that the last silence. Not really enough to effect anything, but enough to tell. And after a while, Lyra said something that started a whole conversation that would change someone's life. "Thunder Shock, I sense something about you is different than other ponies." "What?" "Well, its just, you seem not used to being a pony as much as the others." "Because I'm not." "You aren't a pony are you?" "No, I'm not, well technically I am, but I was born a human and lived my life as a human, I showed up here as a pony a few days ago." "Wait, you're a human?" "Yes." "So, my spell worked!" "What?" "Well, I cast a spell so I could meet a human, I've been interested in them you know." "Seriously?" "Yes, and it obviously worked." "So, you cast a spell so you could meet a human, and it worked?" "More or less, you are a pony after all." "And you cast it just to learn more about humans." "Yeah." "Can you send me back?" "Not now." "Why not?" "I don't have the reverse spell." "WHAT? So you just cast spells without preparing a fail safe backup in case they go wrong or the being you get wants to go back?" "Pretty much." Thunder Shock was about to say something, but paused. He didn't really know how to respond to that. He started thinking of how to respond. "But, I'm kind of glad you have to stay here." Lyra said interrupting his thoughts. He looked at Lyra. Why would she say that? Did she like him? "What? Why?" Thunder Shock said hoping for a response. "Because, I kind of like you." she answered with a smile. He stopped to think again. So he was right, now what? "Well, you should go off, find something to do, maybe find a permanent job, it may take a while for me to find the reverse spell." Lyra said with and awkward smile. "Uh, yeah sure." Thunder Shock said as he walked out the door. "Bye." *** When he arrived at the boutique, Thunder Shock walked in. "Hello, Sweetie Belle, Rarity? Anyone, er uh, pony home?" he asked. Rarity walked up to him. "Hello sir, do you need anything?" she asked. "Oh, well I'm short on umm, what were they called, bots? No bits, yeah bits. I'm short on bits and was wondering if you needed any help today again." "Not today hun, but you could always go to Sugar Cube Corner, they always appreciate help, especially after a wild party like last night." "Oh, thanks. Umm bye." "Bye, please come again!" a certain white filly said with a smile when she appeared out of nowhere to see Thunder Shock leave. He chuckled, that little girl reminded him of a certain toddler back home. Julie. When Thunder Shock got to Sugar Cube Corner, Pinkie Pie was going in and out of the building carrying sacks of trash on her back. "Hello Pinkie." he said. "Do you need any help here?" "Oh yes yes yes! Lots of help, we have to clean up and make cupcakes and other sweets, then we have to sell all of them and it would be so helpful if we had someone to help us!" she said faster than anyone could possibly speak. "I'm sorry what?" "We need help, and lots of it!" "Oh, ok, so, I can work register if you want. I don't really have experience anywhere else." "Sure ok the register is over there." she said gesturing to the register bouncing up and down. Thunder Shock walked over to the register and stood there for a while. A little bobble head of some white alicorn was sitting next to one of a black alicorn. He hit one on the head so it nodded and the other so it shook its head in an everlasting 'no'. Thunder Shock watched the two heads bobble and started placing mental bets that the white one would end first when the bell on the desk rang. "Oh, sorry to keep you waiting ma'am." "Naw its ok sugarcube." and tangerine earth pony said in a western accent. Thunder Shock cleared his throat. "Welcome to Sugar Cube Corner, my name is Thunder Shock, how may I help you?" "I'm here to pick up my monthly sugar." "How much sugar is it?" "50 pounds." "FIFTY?! Wow, ok one minute please." he wandered off into the backroom to grab a huge bag of sugar. He came back 2 minutes later and slumped the bag into the counter sweating heavily. "Here." he said with a pant. "That will be 100 bits." "Here you go sir." she said as she put a sack of bits on the counter. "The bag is awfully heavy, do you need any help carrying it?" "I'm ok, wear I live, I lift more than this constantly." "Ok ma'am, goodbye, come back again." He worked the whole day watching Pinkie Pie slave away cleaning up the party and every once in a while helped her clean up. Eventually the sun went done and Pinkie flipped the open sign to closed. "Thank you so much for your help sir. Here's your pay." Pinkie said at normal speed and gave 60 bits to Thunder Shock thus bringing his bit total to 100. Then he went to Lyra's house, where else was he supposed to go? So he headed down the street until he got to her house. He knocked. Then knocked again. He waited a few seconds before knocking again when Lyra opened the door. "Oh, hello Thunder Shock." she said. "Hey Lyra, can I stay here again?" "Sure, you can stay as long as you want." "Thanks, did you make any progress on the reversal spell?" "Well, I did rule out the whole first three pages of the reversal spell book." "Good, good. I'm tired, so I think I'll go straight to bed tonight." "Ok, good night Thunder Shock, see you in the morning." "Good night Lyra." he said with a yawn as he walked into the guest room and fell asleep on the bed. When he left, Lyra thought to herself. How long can I keep lying about the reversal spell? Hopefully at least until we're going steady. //-------------------------------------------------------// Wednesday //-------------------------------------------------------// Wednesday When he woke up, Thunder Shock went through his normal morning routine. Eating breakfast, watching TV for a while, talking to Lyra, looking for a job in the newspaper while doing all this, and waiting for Celestia to take him to the castle for magic lessons. After some time, he heard some rapping on the door. He got up to see who it was. "Well Lyra, guess it's time for me to go for the day. See you later tonight." "Bye. Good luck." Thunder Shock opened the door to find a black alicorn waiting for him. "ARE YOU THUNDER SHOCK?" she asked. "Yes, can you quiet down a bit please?" he responded "Oh, sorry. So Thunder Shock, I am princess Luna. I am here to take you to the castle in place of Celestia." "Oh, umm, ok." "Climb upon my back." Luna said as she lowered her wing so Thunder Shock could get on her back. When he was up Luna asked "Are you ready to fly?" "I guess." he answered. Luna jumped into the air and flapped her wings. She flew to the castle at a much slower and more comfortable pace than Celestia did. "We have arrived, Thunder Shock." she said when she landed. Thunder Shock climbed down. "Ok, so what am I learning today?" "Some more combat training. You have learned an attack and a shield spell. So today we will work on self levitation and invisibility." "I'm gonna learn how to be invisible? AWESOME!" "First, self levitation. I've heard that Celestia tried to teach you already?" "Yes." "Ok, so, show me how good you can do the way she taught you." Thunder Shock took a deep breath and shut his eyes. He focused on his horn and imagined him flying. He felt himself lift off the ground. He closed his eyes tighter and clenched his teeth. He strained and used every ounce of energy he had to go higher. Then he saw a faint glow through his eyelids and he felt his spell did nothing now. So he stopped casting and just floated. He didn't feel like he was falling. He didn't feel the ground. Thunder Shock dared to peek. He opened one eye halfway and then opened both completely. He looked around. He saw that he was just below the ceiling. The faint glow was slightly black. He looked around and saw Luna's horn glowing the same color. "Luna, did I get up here by myself?" "Yes, but I stopped you for you were about to crash into the ceiling." she said slowly letting him down. "So did I pass?" "Yes, but work on doing it with your eyes open." "Oh, heh, ok." "Now, you will learn, or attempt to learn, how to turn invisible." "Great, bring it on!" "This spell is hard to master. You must focus your energy, not on your horn, but on your whole being. Spread your energy throughout your body. Imagine you are a panther in the shadows. A mouse in the woods. A cheetah in the bushes. Now imagine these creatures being combined into one being, you." Thunder Shock focused hard. His main focus points were his horn, hooves, tail, and back. He tried hard. He could feel his power pulsing. "Good, good, you are now translucent, just a little more." He focused harder. He clenched his teeth. His eye started twitching. "More, you are almost there, I'm starting to see through you." He focused as hard as he could. His teeth at the point of nearly breaking. Both eyes twitching now. He was trying to keep them open, but was losing the battle. "Just a little more." He focused so hard that he could feel his eyelids about to rip and his eyes pop out of his head. His eyes closed to slits. "Good, if I didn't now any better I'd say you left the room." He breathed out quickly. He took a deep breath and resumed normal breathing patterns. When he let his breath go he just appeared. "Good job Thunder Shock, you know, most ponies take weeks to learn that spell." He was panting too hard to say anything. "Well, we have a little more time. Do you think you could try to learn one more spell?" "Depends on how hard it is for most ponies to learn it." he said with a breath between each word. "It takes 3 days for average ponies." Luna said. "I guess I could try." Thunder Shock replied gasping at the end. "Ok, this is transportation. It does not take much energy at all." "You sure?" "Yes." "All right, why not?" Luna grabbed Thunder Shock's face, a cheek in each hoof. Then she turned him so he was looking at a chair. "What are you doing?" he said, his words muffled through the fish lips he was forced to have. "That chair, you must see yourself sitting on it. Imagine you vanish, like the invisibility spell then you reappear on that chair." "Can you let go of my face?" he asked. "Oh, sorry, forgot I was holding it." Luna said releasing Thunder Shock from her grasp blushing a little. Thunder Shock didn't give a second thought about this. He looked at the chair and imagined what Luna told him to. When nothing happened, he tried harder, and harder. Eventually he was back to practically killing himself when he gave up. "Why did you stop?" "I'm too tired, I can't do it." "All right, Celestia will pick you up again tomorrow, would you like anything to eat while your here?" "Do you have some tacos?" "Sure, how many would you like?" "Three please." "Ok, here." Luna conjured up three tacos in a sack. Thunder Shock grabbed the sack and asked Luna a question. "Can you take me back to Lyra's house please?" "Sure, climb up." Luna said lowering a wing so he could get on. When he got on, Thunder Shock nodded at Luna and she nodded back then flew off at the same comfortable speed. This is a nice thing you got going on here. He thought to himself. I can just bring the food and Lyra should not make me pay for my chunk of the bills. When they arrived, he got off and walked in. He waved goodbye to Luna and shut the door when she flew off. Thunder Shock turned around and went up to the couch. It was difficult walking on three legs, so he decided to levitate the bag with him. He flew it right in front of Lyra and Bon Bon's faces. They watched as he put the bag on the table and took out three tacos. The two mares ran up and asked who the tacos were for. "They're for you two." he said. "One for each." Everyone took one taco and ate it. "Hey Lyra, I was wondering." "Yes." she said, her heart pumping. This is it, hes asking me out, I just know it! "If I bring food from the castle every night for dinner, can I skip out on my chunk of the bills?" Damn she thought then looked at Bon Bon. She just shrugged and continued eating her taco. "Sure." Lyra said. "But only if you bring is whatever we want." "Deal. What do you want tomorrow?" "Well, Bon Bon and I were discussing ordering pizza before you arrived. So maybe we could have pizza tomorrow." "Ok, what kind?" "Cheese, Bon Bon is kind of against meat." Lyra said pointing to Bon Bon as she picked out the taco meat from her taco. The three finished their tacos with uninteresting conversation, trust me, you don't want to hear it. When they were done, Bon Bon went to her bedroom and Thunder Shock started heading to his. "Wait Thunder." Lyra said. "Yeah?" he asked. She hesitated, she was originally going to ask him out, but now she lost almost all of her nerves. "Uhh, sweet dreams." she said quickly and darted into her room then slammed the door. Thunder Shock shrugged and went into his room and tried to fall asleep, but he couldn't. He heard some talking from the room on the other side of his wall. It was Lyra. "Oh stupid. I'm n idiot. I should've just asked him out. I'll do it tomorrow, and I won't wuss out. Whats the worst that could happen? I mean really, all he could really do is say no." her voice lowered. "Then he could move out and then into some other mare's house." then she started growling. "Then he'd go out with her. Or worse, he asks out Bon Bon and she says yes." She continued to list very bad things that Thunder Shock could do. But he decided to stop listening and go to sleep. He found some ear plugs and put them in so he couldn't hear Lyra. "Guess we'll see what tomorrow brings." he said with a yawn to himself as he fell asleep. //-------------------------------------------------------// Thursday //-------------------------------------------------------// Thursday This morning was different then the others. Thunder Shock woke up when Lyra jumped on top of him in the morning. There was no food in the fridge. The TV wouldn't turn on, and worst of all, Celestia never came, only a note. When Thunder Shock found it, he read it. "Dear Thunder Shock." it began. "I regret to inform you but I pulled a muscle while testing your shield the other day. I am too weak to do much of anything, and Luna has to use her healing spells to assist the nurses. We will resume lessons as soon as possible. Keep practicing though." Thunder Shock put the note down. He thought for a few seconds then used his magic to grab it, crumple it up, and toss it in the trash. "Ehh whatever. She'll be ok soon enough." he said and he sat back on the couch. Lyra walked into the room. "Morning Thunder. How are you today?" "We already discussed this Lyra." "Yeah I know, just making conversation." "Why won't the TV turn on?" "Bills too high, they had to cut our TV. I tried to get them to give us a royal reduction, but you weren't here when they needed proof." "A royal reduction?" "Any royalty or ponies who are spending a lot of time with the princesses get half off bills." "Oh, well lets head down to the TV company and get our money back." "But don't you have training today?" "No, Celestia and Luna are both unable to teach today." "Oh no, that sucks." "So, we going to the TV company or what?" "Oh yeah sure, just let me get my purse." "Since when did you carry a purse?" "Good point." Then the two left the house and went to the TV company. When they arrived, there was one dark gray male pegasus at the front desk doing some paperwork. "Oh hello." he said when Thunder Shock stepped on a creaky floorboard. "Hello sir, whats your name?" Thunder Shock asked. "I am Techno Flash. What do you need sir?" "Well, Techno, I'm Thunder Shock. My umm, friend, Lyra here lives with me and she had to pay full price for her bills." he said putting emphasis on the word friend. "Oh, my mistake sir. When she said she lived with you I didn't believe her." "Its ok, just give us our money back and we'll pretend this never happened." "Right away sir. Give me a minute." Techno Flash ran off to a backroom with a large glass window. Thunder Shock and Lyra watched what he did through the window. Techno went to a file cabinet and looked around in some files. After a while he went over to a vault and entered a combo. He looked at the file again and reached into the vault. he pulled out an arm full of bits and Techno Flash went back to the front desk. "Here you go, this should be about it." he said putting the bits on the table. "You should've brought your purse." Thunder Shock whispered to Lyra. Lyra glared at him. "Ok ok, I got this." then Thunder Shock levitated the pile of bits. "Well, shall we go now?" he asked Lyra. "Yes, lets." she replied. Then the two left the building. They headed down the road back to Lyra's house. And on the way, Thunder Shock asked a question that stopped Lyra in her tracks. "So, hows the portal to the human world coming along?" "Oh, umm, good so far." "Your not telling me something." he said looking at Lyra intently. "No, no I'm not. I'm telling you everything." she said a little sheepishly. "Don't tell me, you lost the spell book." "No, I found the spell yesterday." "Why didn't you tell me?" "I wanted to ask you something. Something important." "And that is?" "I can't ask you in public." she said blushing. "Fine, ask me when we get back." The two walked in silence the rest of the way back. When they got home, Bon Bon was sitting on the couch watching TV. "Hey guys, the telies fixed!" Bon Bon said. Then Thunder Shock levitated the bit stack into the house. Bon Bon's jaw dropped. "Oh my go, with this many bits, we'll never go hungry!" "Bon Bon, don't you have something to do. In your room." "No, are you all right?" Lyra quickly elbowed, or kneed I guess, no clue what it is really, Bon Bon in the side and she got the memo. "Oh yeah thats right. I have to go, check on my, Turkey." she said thinking of an excuse. And with that, Bon Bon left the room shut her door, and looked through a crack in the door to watch what happened. "So umm Thunder Shock." "Yeah?" "The reason I didn't tell you about the spell working is." "Go on." "Is." "Yes?" "I have a crush on you! I didn't want you to leave me. I'm sorry, I know your going to hate me forever now." tears started welling up in Lyra's eyes. "Lyra." Thunder Shock said a little softer than usual. "No, don't look at me, I'm so sorry." she said started to cry. "No Lyra, its ok." Lyra looked at him and sniffled. "Really?" she asked. "Really. I think its sweet that you'd do that." Lyra stopped crying now, but the tear streams still shined on her face. Thunder Shock wiped the tears from her face and looked into Lyra's eyes. Then Lyra blushed. They stared into each other's eyes. Lyra's still shining with tears. "Thunder Shock, what are you...." she was ct off by a yellow hoof silencing her. "Shhh." Thunder Shock said then leaned in and kissed Lyra on the lips. When he released. He looked into Lyra's eyes. "Lyra, I love you too." "So, will you go out with me?" she asked trying to contain her excitement and barely doing so. "Lyra, we practically were already. Plus, I didn't think you'd really have to ask." After he said this, Lyra had to try so hard to hold in her excitement that she practically exploded. Bon Bon screeched with joy in her room and jumped back from the door and started doing a victory dance. Don't ask why SHES doing it. When things calmed down and it went back to normal, Bon Bon went into the living room and hugged Lyra. Then she went over to Thunder Shock and stopped just short of hugging him. "Oh sorry, I was just so excited, took me a bit to realize how awkward it would be." Bon Bon apologized. "Its ok." Thunder Shock said and hugged Bon Bon. They all sat down next to each other on the couch in a row with Lyra in the middle. "Lyra." "Yes?" "Can you make the portal to the human world?" "Oh, sure, I guess, if you really want to leave me." she said getting up and heading to her spell book. "You know, you could always become a human with me." Lyra paused as if the thought just occurred to her, which it did. She said one thing in response. "Ok." Lyra then began casting the spell. When the portal was up she asked Thunder Shock one thing. "Thunder, give me your power. If you give me enough, I can open the portal and keep it open forever." "Ok, how?" "Just focus on me and mimic my every move." Lyra did some cuckoo version of the chicken dance and Thunder Shock copied her. Bon Bon laughed at them. And eventually, the glow on Lyra's horn grew twice as bright and she stopped the bizarre dance. She focused on the portal again. After a few seconds, it flashed red and the rim of it became more solid and less wobbly. "It is ready." Lyra said. "Ok, I'll just test it." Thunder Shock stepped through the portal and he appeared in a closet, classic. He opened the door and went up to a mirror. He was human. He went back to the portal and stuck his arms through. He grabbed Lyra's shoulders and pulled her through. "LYRA, we made it, back to the human world!" Tim said. "Yay!" she shouted. "But you'll need a new name, Lyra isn't so human." "Well, I've been studying humans for a while now, and I think I can name myself. I'll be Ruby." "Ok, good." the two hugged each other then kissed when a third voice came from the closet. It was Bon Bon. "Great, so now that we're here, what do we do?" Bon Bon asked. "You go back and hide the portal. And guard it with your life." Lyra said. I mean Ruby. God, this is going to be hard. "Why do you get all the fun?" "Because we have to have someone make sure the portal is safe and Thunder Shock and I are staying here!" "All right." Bon Bon muttered and went back into the pony world. "So Ruby, whats our story?" Tim asked. "We'll figure it out." she said. "Oh, and whats your human name?" "Tim." They hugged when a familiar female voice came from below. It was Tim's mom. "Oh crap." Tim dashed downstairs and started talking to his mom. Lyr...RUBY crept down the stairs behind him. "Tim, you weren't napping very long." his mom said. "What do you mean?" he asked. Just then, the last pinkie clone was destroyed on the TV. "About half an hour. Oh, is that your girlfriend? I didn't notice her come in." Tim looked back to see Ruby standing at the bottom of the stairs holding her arm for no reason. "Thats because shes very sneaky." Tim said. "Oh ok." "We were about to go out for a while." "Oh, well, have fun you two." she said with a smile. Tim motioned for Ruby to follow him and they both got in his car. They drove around town and had their first official date. The two had a fun time. And their relationship never faltered. They stayed together. Every once in a while they visited Ponyville again. They were a happy couple. But little did they now what was going to happen to them next! It was nearly noon. He went into the kitchen for brunch, there was a box of donuts on it and a sticky note on top that said, "Go ahead Thunder Shock, you can have one. Love Lyra." So he decided to grab a doughnut and eat it. Mmm powdered sugar. Thunder Shock decided not to watch TV now, it was late and he should probably start a job. He opened the door and paused with the remaining doughnut halfway in his mouth. A white alicorn was standing outside. "Thunder Shock, I have heard from my most faithful student. Celestia demanded as she started heading down a seemingly endless hallway. After a couple minutes, they arrived in a room with a bunch of stuffed dummies and targets set up. "Show me what you can do with magic so far." she said as she made a chair appear and sat on it. "Um, ok then." he said and looked around. He focused on the chair Celestia was sitting on and started levitating it as high as he could. Thunder Shock made Celestia, chair and all, rise about 20 feet before he ran out of energy and let her drop. She saved herself at the last second and set herself down so it looked as if Celestia never moved. "Is that all?" she asked. "Yeah, that's it." he said panting. "Oh dear, this is going to be hard. He focused all his strength and imagined the target having a hole ripped through it. After a few seconds. A disc of pure purple energy launched from his horn and ripped the target in half. "WOAH, did I do that? It wasn't like that before right?" "No sir, you did that. And that was not the spell I was expecting. You cast a more advanced battle spell, razor disc." "What? After a few seconds a bright light blinded Thunder Shock through his closed eyes. After a few seconds, he opened his eyes and looked. His spell succeeded. "Ok Thunder, now I'm going to test your shield's strength." Celestia said as she shot a bolt of energy at the shield. When it hit, the shield jiggled a bit but held firm. "This time a bit more powerful." she said as she struck again. The shield rippled at the contact point but didn't rip. "Now I'm going to try a horn attack." Celestia backed up a bit and lowered her head. She charged at the bubble at full speed. She struggled a bit but eventually her horn ripped through the bubble. "How was that?" "That was amazing. I gave you one of my most powerful spells and an all out assault with my horn. You would be an amazing guard." She stood for a few seconds looking down at Thunder Shock when she collapsed. Thunder Shock caught the monarch. "Are you ok?" "Yes, yes. Just tired, that shield was powerful." "Now, a self levitation spell." "Oh no." "Focus on yourself as you would focus on that book in the hospital. Imagine your body tied to some balloons lifting you into the sky. don't be amazed if you can't do this, it takes tons of energy." Thunder Shock slowly breathed out. Then took a deep breath. He did as he was told and shut his eyes. The more he focused, the tighter his eyes shut. After a while, he felt his hooves lift off the ground. When he was off for about 10 seconds he dared to look. He was about 5 feet in the air, then his magic cut off and he fell. "Thank you Celestia." he said with a slight bow of respect. "Eat up and I'll take you back to your girlfriend's house." Thunder Shock spit out the milk in his mouth. "Shes not my girlfriend." "Oh, sorry, I just assumed, you live there after all. She has feelings for you and I sense you have feelings for her." He took a bite of his sandwich to avoid further conversation. he finished after a couple minutes. "Want me to take you to Lyra's house now?" "Yes please, thank you." Celestia let him onto her back and flew off to Lyra's house. When she arrived, she let Thunder Shock down. "Good bye Thunder Shock, I wish you good tidings until we meet again." Celestia said as she flew back to her castle. "Bye Celestia, thanks for the lessons." he shouted at her disappearing figure and waved. Then the front door opened and Lyra stuck her head out. "Hello Thunder Shock." she said with a smile. "Hello Lyra." he replied with a grimace. "Come in, come in." Thunder Shock stepped in and looked around. Bon Bon was sitting on the couch watching TV. "Who is it Lyra?" she asked. "Its Thunder Shock." Lyra replied watching as Thunder Shock walked up to Bon Bon and sat next to her on the couch. "Oh, I see, I'll just leave you two alone." Bon Bon said as she went into her room. Lyra went over to the couch and sat next to Thunder Shock. "I heard that Celestia was training you in magic today." Lyra said. "Yeah, I think she wants me to be her personal guard or something, she kept saying I was better than her guards." Thunder Shock replied. "Thunder, this is serious. If the princess wants you to be a guard, she will have you as a guard." "What?" "Yes, she will stop an nothing if she thinks your good enough, and by the sounds of it, she will destroy Ponyville if she has to." "No, there has to be something we can do, I don't want to be a guard working all day every day and never getting to see you for long enough to be sent back to my world."
