Hi! I'm Pinkie Pie! Although you probably already knew that, you're the one that clicked on the story. Actually, what if you weren't? Maybe you went to get a sandwich or something, came back and saw this story on your screen and decided to read it anyway and now you're all like "Who is this crazy horse talking about swimming?" Which would be really weird, cause I'm not even talking about swimming. I was actually talking to Dashie earlier about swimming, she said she didn't like it because of-
Woah, slow down Pinkie. You're going too fast again. *Ahem*. Sorry about that. I'm here to tell you all a story. And this isn't just your average bedtime story. You may still want to grab some popcorn or something though.
Thinking back, it all started a few months ago. I woke up early to help the Cakes with the morning baking. I stepped out of bed quietly, and sneaked out of my room. I didn't want to wake up Gummi, trust me when I say you DON'T want to see a cranky alligator.
Once I was downstairs, I was greeted by the Cakes smiling faces. I could tell they weren't fully awake, so I just nodded and smiled. They didn't look like they were in the mood for a hug. Anyway, Mr. Cake handed me the order list for the day. I looked it over, it wasn't anything special. Scootaloo's Parents wanted a Birthday Cake, Derpy wanted a bunch of Blueberry Muffins, Lyra wanted some cupcakes. I did stop when I saw an order for Heart-Shaped Cookies. The pony who ordered them wanted to stay anonymous, but they did say they wanted "For Applejack" written on the cookies. I smiled, it's not everyday one of your bestest friends in the whole wide world got asked on a date. I decided to make those cookies extra special.
The morning went by in a blur, most of it was spent on perfecting Applejacks Cookies. I didn't bake cookies too much, I always found them kind of too hard. A lot of kind of too hard. I ended up coloring them red, and shaping them into big hearts. After many tries, I wrote "For Applejack" over all the cookies, one letter per treat. I was pretty proud of myself. I almost wanted to try one, but "For Applejak" just didn't look right for some reason. I was lost in thought, trying to figure out the best cookie to nom on, when I heard the bell over Sugarcube Corner door ring. I ran up to the counter, a smile on my face.
"Welcome to Sugarcube Corner! How can I help you?" I said out of instinct. The pony at the door was concealed in a cloak, and it's voice was deep when it spoke.
"I'm here to pick up my cookie order." It said.
"Okie Dokie Lokie!" I pulled the cookies out from under the counter. I wonder how they got there. The pony nodded when it saw the cookies, and took it in a white field of magic.
"Thank you very much Pinkie." The pony started to leave before I started to feel a tingling in my left hoof. And then my ears started to flop. My right eye started to blink uncontrollably, and I started to make chicken noises. It all stopped a few seconds later.
I smiled inside. I knew that combo well. It meant Twilight was here. Well, everything but the chicken noises. Come to think of it, I don't know why I did that. Whatever. I looked around the shop, and noticed a lack of a certain lavender unicorn. The gears in my head turning (Which is a really weird expression. I'm not a robot! Or am I...) I followed the pony outside. And through most of Ponyville. And to Sweet Apple Acres.
The pony knocked on Applejacks door, which she answered quickly. The pony took off her hood, and I wasn't too surprised to see it was Twilight. My Pinkie Sense is never wrong, after all. Although, the unicorn looked REALLY nervous for some reason. Applejack just stood there with her mouth hanging open in surprise. I couldn't make out what they were saying, but Twilight asked some question, and then started pawing at the ground. Applejack didn't say anything back, but she did (Very hesitantly) kiss Twilight. The unicorn looked surprised at first, and then relieved. Or something. I was too excited to think, and was already planning out an "Oh my god two of our friends are going out this is going to be awesome" party.
I turned back to the new couple. I watched them hug. I felt something snap inside. All of a sudden I just wanted to get home, and get to bed. It got really cold really fast. I ran off, tears of (what I thought was) happiness in my eyes.
