Screeech!
"Yah!"
I immediately opened my eyes to this loud strange noise. It sounded very absurd, and I propped myself up on my elbow to get a look at the time on my clock on-top of my bedside table.
8.17.AM.
Damnit! I hated being woke up at this time. So little point in it, especially since my buddies woke up later, and the internet has a terrible connection to my house somehow.Lazily, I flipped the covers and the cold air made me shiver. I slipped my housecoat on and made my way over to the window and curiously pulled the blinds.
At this age, I shouldn't of seen what I saw that day...
Hell had erupted. Instantly fear swept all over my body and I gagged. It was chaos, their was buildings set in flames, screams of death, blood and entrails everywhere, and most of all, fast moving things that had blood covered on them from mane to hoof and their entrails at places they shouldn't have been. I wanted to look away, run to my parents bedroom and jump into my mothers safe hooves, but I just had to look. My hooves were trembling, teeth chattering and my eyes kept blinking, just to check if this was reality.
This isn't happening!
My shaking head turned to the far side of the bloodied road, onto the pavement that was littered with entrails. I nearly hurled. What made me look their, is the fact I saw a small colt who looked familiar. He was standing their, his body in shock at what he had seen. He was staring at a mare who was rising from the ground with fresh blood dripping from her. They both looked the same as each other, relatives maybe? It hit me.
That's Torque, isn't it?
It was my best friend, who didn't live far from me, Torque. As the mare rose, he slowly recovered from his shock. He turned and begin to run, but fast was the "thing" behind him. It wasn't long, maybe a few seconds after the the mare gave chase in that she was ripping apart Torque's chest, whilst another thing pounded his face with his hooves. Foolishly, I thought he was still going. A colt can never overpower one of the things.
Run Torque! Run!
Standing around isn't the best thing to do in a apocalypse, it wasn't long before I was spotted by a pack of the things. I was dumb, I endangered my families life by standing next to clear window.
I looked down at the things and saw them look up to with their torn apart faces. They grinned.I froze Their must of been about five of them. One of them had a hoof torn off, another hand a body that looked like it had been dipped in acid. They shuffled towards my house, not sprinting like the other ones did.
No! Go away!
I had enough. I ran to my bedroom door and opened it, only to be greeted by a shriek that penetrated my ears and a loud sound of broken wood.
Their inside! No!
Before I knew it, they got inside with me standing upstairs. They knew we were here.
"Mommy!" I howled, i wanted to warn them, let them know that this was the beginning of the end. Immediately, I heard those things wreck the ground floor of the house, plates smashing and wood breaking.
We only had a few seconds before they got upstairs. No thinking. Think, and your dead. You have got to go by your instinct.
My mother opened the door and I was relieved. I small trickle of blood ran down her hoof. I ran over to her and gave her my last hug.
"Listen here little one, your mommy is hurt and what matters most is your safety," Tears were strolling down her eyes. She pointed to the bathroom, her hand trembling with fear."Get in their and lock the door!"
I was more concerned about her own safety, I couldn't live down abandoning my own mother whilst she gets attacked by those things and torn apart and mostly hearing her screams and not being able to do anything about it.
Yet I had to. I couldn't stay and fall prey. Instinct kicked in and ran across the hall to the bathroom. I slammed the door and my hoof hit the lock. Turning around, I slumped down to the white floor and slammed my hooves to my ears. I didn't want to hear their blood curdling screams. I thought any minute now they would take a whiff of my scent and barge through the door to see a crying defenseless colt.
Luckily, I was quiet. I stayed in the position, mostly froze in shock, until about an hour. I slowly began to stand up and study the surroundings, hoping to find a magical time bomb to revert all of this.
I had my heart sink even lower when I finally looked around. I was in the bathroom. One bath, a toilet and a sink. A cabinet. One door. No windows. That meant the only way out was through the door, down the hallway and then into the chaos filled, corrupted world.
That was a few days ago, maybe three or two? Yet, i'm thirsty an the taps aren't working. I'm thinking of opening the door to try and escape before I get to weak to move. It's my only shot. In case you didn't know, i'm writing on a piece of toilet paper. It skips time.
So thirsty, i'm to weak to move, to even get up. It burns every time I try to pee. My skin is like leather and I cant feel my hooves. It's getting hard to write, my magic can't levitate the pen to write I'm dying, and i'm running out of time.
