Chapters The Elements of Nightmare Moon?
(A/N This is my first fanfic so i hope you enjoy... I am always looking for constructive criticism so comment and I'm looking for at least 2 editors so hit me up)
A black colt unicorn stood guard on the edge of a camp. The air nipping at his ears the dead sound of winter all around.
" Well looks clear I think Celestia was wrong about Lunar troops coming this wa-" His sentenced was cut shot by a bright flash.
"Where am I?" asked a Pegasus that came out of no where.
"Who are you?" Asked the unicorn spear levitated in the air.
"..." The Pegasus just stared at the unicorn. "What year is it?"
The unicorn raised the spear to the Pegasus' neck and demanded to know his name. The Pegasus in total fear then replied "My name is Star Blazer... I'm here to help, I'm looking for Shine Bright. I'm from the future."
The unicorn was in utter disbelief by what he said...Star Blazer. Was from the future. The unicorn trying to say something but his mouth wouldn't allow it. After quiet some time the unicorn finally spoke up. "I'm Shine Bright."

There was a Pegasus trotting around a track waiting for his time to be over. He was purple with blue and white hiar. His cutie mark was a yellow star encased in a yellow circle.
"Very good citizen. Strength is required for citizenship . Your country salutes you for you effort Star Blazer" The speakers sounded. Star Blazer then stopped trotting allowing for the mare next in line to take his place.
The speakers sounded again "Very good citizen. Strength is required for citizenship . Your country salutes you for you effort Lyra Heartstrings."
Star left the work out station to meet up with his mare friend who was waiting at the entrance. She was standing at the a vendor reading yesterdays news.
"Wow yesterdays news must seem pretty interesting." Star said heading up to Shine Bright. She was a dark blue unicorn her cutie mark was a pile of books. She always wanted to be a librarian but it dint pay enough so she now works at the Sun Maker factory with Star Blazer.
"O tisk-tisk you know i never have enough time to read today's news so I'm always behind." Said Stary Night in her defense.
"Well come on lets go to the facto-" His sentence was cut short by the speakers saying something.
"Know you neighbor as you would know yourself. Knowledge is strength and strength is required for citizenship."
"Does it have to be so repetitive?" Asked Star Blazer turning his head to Stary Night.
"You know how much the Night Queen loves repetition." Star Blazer only slightly chuckled at her joke. 'God i hate the Queen' Star Blazer thought. Stary Night took the lead and started for the Sun Maker factory.
The Sun Maker factory is the place where it all happens. Without it everypony would starve. Unicorns magically enchant the crystals pegasi and Earth ponies take them to the near by farms. "You know it didn't always used to be like this." Star Blazer said.
"What do you mean?" Stary night looked at him in confusion.
"The sun didn't only hangover the Zebra Nations. Before the Sun and the Moon would trade places." Star said looking out the window to the Moon.
"The history books don't say that." Stary Night said moving to the window to gaze with him.
"Come on i gotta take the crystals out. I'll meet you at the Factory entrance" He didn't wait for a response he then took off to deliver the crystals..

Star returned to find Stary still reading yesterdays paper. "Wow still reading."
"O shut up im reading whats for sale. And come on its late its 22:00"
The two started down the road to Star Blazer's apartment until they were stopped by a mare dressed in black. She did not say anything but Stary Night could see what was going on. There were to much older ponies being dragged off into a prison carriage
Stary Night was stepping forward before Star Blazer yanked her back and whispered. "Are you insane!? Do you want to go back to God Citizenship School again?"
Then before the older colt was shoved into the Carriage he said. "Remember us."
Once put into the carriage Stay Night asked the mare in front of them to know what they have done wrong. The mare in black was abut to speak but the Speakers cut her off.
"Working is strength and strength is required for citizenship"
The mare then nodded and walked away.
"Are you crazy" Star Blazer asked grabbing a hold of her fore hoof.
"Its not right Star... You know its not right."
With a pep talk to calm Stary Night soon the two made it back to Star Blazer's apartment. Reaching the door to his apartment the speakers sounded again.
"The state appreciates you service. Service is strength and strength is required for citizenship."
Once inside the two proceeded to the bed and began to kiss. Stary Night then pushed Star Blazer on the bed and jumped on top of him.

The two laid in bed exhausted cuddling. Until Stary Night spoke up. "What if you could go back in time. Do you think we would still meet, Fall in love? Would the future be different if the world was... Happy?"
Star mulled the words over in his head again and again until he spoke up. "What do you mean we are all happy right, happy and strong." Star sighed and thought to himself 'I hate it here'
"Nothing in this world would make me happier than changing it. Nothing..." Star the got up and started for the bath room.
"Hate it? How Do you know it would be so different... In the past? You never read a real history book... No pony has."
Star Blazer stopped at the bathroom entrance and said "Because it was different."
Once Star blazer was in the bathroom Stary Night started to look around his room. "How do you know that" She the reached under the bed and found an old book. "What is this." She whispered as she put the book into her saddle bags.
Star Blazer then returned from the bath room to find Stary Night putting on her saddle bags. "I have to go. Come with me." Said Stary Night.
"But what about curfew?" Star Blazer asked.

As the too were walking done the streets sticking close to the shadows the speakers sounded again.
"A clean mind is a clean city.... Your city is part of you, your country is made from you... And yes you are responsible."
The two turned into an ally way. It seemed like a dead end until Stary Night casted a spell. "Run." she said as the bolted to the wall opening up.
The was a long row of stars. Almost seemed endless. The two started their hike down.
"What are we doing here?" Star Blazer asked.
"You'll see, we almost missed it! It only comes to surface once a day on a rotating schedule..." She said looking back at the the door they were just at.
once they reached the bottom the wall opened up again. Behind it was a unicorn guard dressed in royal guard armor.
"Hey Dark Side." Stary Night said as his horn then light up and scanned the two of them for weapons.
"You're clean." said the guard allowing them to pass.
Stary Night the whispered to Star Blazer. "This is the only place in New Canterlot where the heat and magical signatures can be hidden from above.... It took almost two decades to build piece by piece."
"Build what!?" Star Blazer said. But Stary Night ignored him and continued.
The two continued down a long hall until reaching a room with a long desk and papers littered all over it with 3 ponies behind it.
"Stary Night! What is he doing here!" Asked a colt approaching us.
"He's safe there's a reason. Call a meeting now" Stary Night said.
"Impossible!! We have a test scheduled in twenty minutes. I asked you what is he doing here?"
"Hey, man im right here what's the problem?" Asked Star approaching the colt before Stary Night held up a hoof to stop him.
"Just call a meeting Octavian. I'll explain later." Stary night said levitating the book she stole from Star Blazer and handing it to Octavian.
Octavian's magic engulfed the book. He brought it closer ho his face to study it. "Is that...? MEETING!!!! "

(A/N In the first few hours of this story being up i got 3 likes and 0 dislikes woo-hoo. Well im not gonna keep you any longer. Hope you enjoy!)
"That wasn't yours to takes! I cant believe you! Do you have any idea what that book is!?" Star Blazer was scolding Stary Night as they walked down yet another set of stairs.
"Do you?" Asked Stary Night turning around to face him. "I know it's old, I know it's illegal for you to own it... And i know it might help the cause... What is it?" She asked continuing to walk.
"I thought so." As he followed behind her.
"You're not going to tell me?" She asked in a hurt voice.
"You stole it!" He yelled at her in his defense.
The group entered a room. It had metal tubes standing out of the ground. Electricity and magic danced in between the tubes. "What is that?" Asked Star Blazer.
"You have no idea whats going on, Star; how serious this is." Stary Night said in a dark voice. One that made a small shiver go up Star Blazer's back.
"That is the greatest achievement of science and magic put together... That is a time machine, and we are going to use it to save the world." The was an older looking colt with grey hair who answered Star Blazer's question.
"And we have possibly history." Said Octavian. He then opened the book to read it contents but there was something wrong. " Can you read this? What language is it?" He asked Star Blazer.
"Its ancient Griffon. I can read it." Replied Star.
"What does it say?" Octavian asked.
"It was given to me by my father. It's a journal of a war. A big war. A war with the queen... Before she came to power." Explained Star.
"Do you know what this is? How valuable this is?... How dangerous?"
"Yes I do." Star was staring at a timer of the wall. It said 7 minutes 12 seconds.
There was a eerie few moments of silence before Octavian spoke again. "Can you tell us more? Please..."
"Okay... It was written generations ago by a colt named Shine Bright my relative. He was a partisan just like you all... He fought against the Queen in Griffon Kingdom. A small country in the north... It talks mostly about the hardships and how they tried to destroy a Lunar base that the Queen thought was important. It was a base that protected something called the 'the elements"
"That's Amazing! He was your relative!?" Said the Octavian obviously giddy with joy.
Then the grey haired colt jumped in. "This is the key! If the Queen holds onto the elements... With those she will take power!"
Everypony in the group started to talk. Separating into smaller groups hugging and saying thing like. "Future generations will thanks us." and "Down with he Queen."
Ben tried to draw their attention. "Excuse me? Hello?" But his attempts were in vian until. "EXCUSE ME! What is this about? What are you doing down here?
The same unicorn colt spoke up again. "We are excited Star. As you know; we have been limited in what accurate historical facts are available to us."
"The Queen erased them...So?" Said Star Blazer still trying to figure out the obvious.
"So we built this." Octavian said gesturing his hoof to the machine.
The machine then let off a terrible screeching sound. "Are you sure they can't hear that?" Star Blazer asked looking up to the ceiling.
A new Earth pony figure stepped into the scene. He had a brown coat and a black mane with an hour glass as a cutie mark. "We're totally shielded. By 500 feet of solid rock. Hides the resonant harmonics."
The timer hit 0.00 and a loud boom sounded. Then Star Blazer fell onto his haunches when a cat chased past him into the hooves of Octavian.
"Is that...?" Star Blazer sentence was interrupted by Octavian picking the cat up in his fore hooves.
"Yes, she is real. And very very expensive... Star. We need access to the past in order to determine how... And when we can change it." He finished by handing the cat to Star Blazer. "The enemy is too strong now. We are fighting somthing that can only be harmed in the past. Not in the present.... And this could be the key we were waiting for. We are fighting a war, here, Star,. All by ourselves. All alone."
"What is this? What are you doing here?" Star asked.
"We are fighting to change something that ponies no longer know even happened.. We are fighting a war that has been erased by the victor's. Peace by piece... We are going back in time Star. We are going back in time to stop the Queen."
Stary Night the walked up to Star Blazer. He turned to face her and said. "Are you serious?"
Stary night and him went to take a seat on the opposite side of the room. "How do you know that you haven't just created some sort... Some tele-portation device? Or something? How do you know you are going back in time?" Star Blazer asked the group with Stary Night siting to his left.
The same brow colt with a black mane stepped in front of the group. "We know, because we did the match. We know because we carbon date the dirt that comes back underneath the animals skin... We know ... Star you can read this journal? All of it?"
"I've read or heard some of it every single day of my life My mom and dad read it, my dad... They told me that it was important. It's a family heirloom. Our dark piece of forbidden history..." Star was waved over to follow Octavian. They walked out of the room.
"Star, I need you to tell us every-thing. Every little thing. The Queen has destroyed all the books, pictures, everything. You know this... It's all been re-written. We're blind... Leading the blinded. We thought we had some-thing a few times... But the leads went cold."
"How long have you been doing this? Down here?" Star Blazer asked.
"Too long, and they're starting to smell us. They know that something is happening."
They walked into what looked like a wreck room. "We recruited some ponies from the educated class. Myself, Stary Night... Finding ponies is hard Star. Most believe the system work... They think nothing is wrong buy the Lunar Guards watch everything... The machine has taken years to eighteen years to build." He then levitated a coffee jar and pored a cup. "Since January... Vanilla, Twilight, and Derpy have all disappeared. the only reason we are still here is this." He said holding out a pill in his hoof. "Its called cyanide. We all have one... We've been chasing a needle in the haystack of history... Your journal could be that needle."
"So why is my journal so important? To this Octavian? I don't get it."
"Because it could potentially provide a time and place to destroy all of this before it starts. That's why. There are very few records of strategic victories, Star."

"Okay... Shine Bright was a family man. He was married, he had two children." Said Star.
"Star, We need to know about the war, what did he do?" Asked Octavian sitting in a chair to his left.
"Shine Bright led the resistance efforts against the Queen in the Griffon Kingdom."
Many hours pasted as Star Blazer was explaining what Shine Bright did and now he was on the subject of where the elements were. "According to the journal the Queen kept the Element in a base on the northern border of Equestria The allied kingdoms were unable to obtain the elements before they were moved... The Elements were important. It allowed the Queen to make some very important victories against the Griffon Kingdom and Equestria."
The Grey haired colt shouted " The Queen took our history and smashed it. We know nothing! Nothing !"
The brown colt now know as Dr. Hooves spoke. "What does the journal say, Star... What happened?"
"The last words of the journal are 'That Canterlot has been captured today'" Star Blazer looked down in grimace.
Been then put is fore hooves to his head in total pain. As a Blue mane colt ran to his aid. "Whoa there citizen! You okay? You've been talking for hours."
"Yah i'm fine. Just tired" Star said.
Octavian then walked up and introduce the two. " Star, This is Shinning Armor... You should help him understand Shine Bright. The stuff you didn't tell us is going to be very important to him. He is the colt who will meet Shine Bright face to face."
"I cant believe im going to meet your ancient grandfather." Explained Shinning.
Then Stary Night went to Star Blazer's side. "Not now... You need to rest." She said.
"Im fine." He replied
"No she's right you need the rest Star. Ill see you in the morning." Octavian said as Star Blazer and his sister Stary Night walked off.
Once alone Shinning and Octavian started talking. "Infiltrated... A few fighters?" Asked Octavian.
" He's missing..."

~~Days Later~~
"Salve est nomen meum armatura nitida..." Said Shinning trying to learn ancient Griffon as Star Blazer as his teacher.
"You need to figure this out you've only got three days." Said Star pointing to the Griffon words and their translation. Shinning was so confused about the language. And it was visible through the deep sigh and messy mane from hours of trying.

"What do you mean?" Asked Octavian listening to one of the guards.
"I mean. i am worried! We are sending somepony back in time who doesn't understand the language, the customs, the ponies. A stranger in a strange land! We've trained him all wrong for this!? Explained the guard.
"He's been working with us for nine months... Its too late for this. He's strong and smart; we need him. Star is doing a good job of teaching him."

" Shinning if the elements get aboard the train we'll never see them again. You have to convince Shine Bright to destroy them at the base; not after ." Said Star.
"How i cant speak their damned language."
"He'll probably speak Equestrian... Probably... Lets pick this back up tomorrow."

"Wake up! Shinning is gone!" Shouted Octavian running into the room of Star and Stary Night.
"WHAT!? WHERE!?" Asked Stary Night.
"He went up this morning... To say his goodbyes. But he didnt come back. We got word from a friend that the entire block is on white-lock down. He's hone. He' not coming back. FUCKING DAMNIT!!!" Octavian then left the room.
"It has to be you." Said Stary Night as Star blazer stood. "Star it has to be you, you live in the past already. In your head, so you might as well go there. And you're the only pony in the world that we know can speak ancient Griffon."
"Our mothers, fathers, sisters, daughters, and sons. Will all cease to exist. I... We won't exist. You get that, right?" Said Star Blazer.
"Remember what i asked you in your apartment right? You said 'Nothing in this world would make me happier than changing it' remember? This is for us, Star for our children,for our parents... For history... We are destined to be. The universe made us and set us on the path toward each other and time has nothing to do with it."
Star turned around and kissed her.

"No time and no training!? That's suicide !" Said Octavian standing next to the time machine.
"I'll go. I'll do it." Said Star Blazer entering the room.
"We don't even know who he is! What he's capable of! We are going to trust 20 years on him? Crazy!" Said one of the female guards.
"We wouldn't be here without Star. We would still be searching around the darkness of time, Blind. There is no one better suited to do this than Star. It must be him." Said Octavian.

"So how long do i have?" Asked Star.
"6 hours... We cant wait Star. Shinning knew to much. We cant trust this situation... There are some rules we need to discuss. Things you dont know yet." replied Octavian
"You haven't sent a pony in yet. Have you? Not even for a second?"
"I thought Shinning was gonna be the first. We... Were afraid of screwing up time... What if. Well, what if its a one shot deal? Time get wore rather than better. Chaos theory..."
"Well i guess were gonna find out."

"So far all the animals came back just fine. Dont worry so much. You'll be famous." Said Octavian.
"With who...? What if i dont find him?"
"Just destroy the element. Barring that. Stop the train."
"Sound simple." Star Blazer turned around and was getting ready to enter the machine.
"Star many ponies lost thier lives to get this chance. They know about us. The Lunar guards, you only have one, maybe two chances to get this right... So get it right." Star then ran back and kissed Stary night.
"Ill see you soon. Okay?" Star then ran back into the machine.
