It was 8:46 in the morning. As she climbed out of bed she gave out a yawn and proceeded downstairs slowly. She saw Spike sleeping in the basket and notified herself to be silent. Then there was a knock on the door. Quietly, Twilight opened the door. "Um...hi Twilight" said the shy, yellow Pegasus. "Oh, hi Fluttershy, what brings you here," asked Twilight. "Oh, I was wondering if you happened to have a book about wild plants. You see, there is this wild flower growing in my yard and I was wondering if it is edible for my animals." "Sure I do. SPIIIIKE!" Spike slowly came to Twilight, sleepily. "Yes, Twilight?" asked the tired dragon. "I need a book about wild flowers." Spike immediately handed a book to the purple alicorn. "I heard it in my sleep." "Fair enough, Here you go Fluttershy." "Um...Thanks Twilight." said Fluttershy, as she walked back home. "By the way, don't you have to attend to Pinkie's for something?" Spike remarked. "Oh my gosh, you're right Spike! I need to be there for breakfast but I'm not sure if sweets and confections are good for an early meal." "Don't worry, it will be fine." "I guess you're right Spike." As Twilight Sparkle reaches Sugarcube Corner, a pink fuzz shoots out of the front entrance and lands on her. "Hiya Twilight," said the pink party pony, "glad ya made it". "Don't mention it Pinkie, I would do most of the things with my friends." replied Twilight. "Oohh I just remembered, I found this cool looking watch, I'm wearing it on my hoof right now!" exclaimed Pinkie Pie, "Ya like?" The watch was glowing in a rainbow aurora with white rings beaming out from its edges. The watch had the time and in the clock was a spiral green and white pattern that almost looks like it would put you in trances. "I found it in some cave," said Pinkie. "It's...very nice...but, isn't it a bit too...weird to be a watch?" asked Twilight. "Yeah, it kinda does but it matches my personality." replied Pinkie. Twilight began to feel light headed after seeing the watch. She had never seen something like it before. After Twilight ate at the bakery, she started off to Sweet Apple Acres. There she met Applejack and Rainbow Dash having what appears to be another Iron Pony competition. "Hiya Twilight," greeted Applejack, "Would you like to be our scorekeeper? Fluttershy seems to be busy reading and tending a flower." "I would love to," Twilight replied, "I have nothing else to do, so why not?" as the competition went on, the sun started to sink in to the horizon and taking its daylight with it. Applejack won the Iron Pony by 2 points, leaving a shameful Pegasus to be congratulated by Twilight and Applejack by being a good sport (sort of). Twilight started off home and was stopped by Fluttershy who was holding a book. "Here you go Twilight, It was actually just a wild flower, edible to all herbivores," stated Fluttershy. "you're welcome." After Twilight finished her late night studying, she went off to bed. A trace of headaches followed by light headiness made her feel a little sick on the inside. It's probably because I'm exhausted and need some rest. It will go away soon, she thought. While sleeping, she felt even worse than before. She was struggling with the pain and trying to get some sleep. In her sleep see saw a clock with its hands going backwards, speeding up, and then stop suddenly with a chime. Without taking it anymore she woke up realizing it was morning. The pain inside her went away as the sun and the sky came up brightly from the horizon. Wow, that was really fast for night to go across, or maybe I slept a little too late. She looked at the clock and found out it was 8:46 in the morning. Moments later, Twilight was alarmed by a knock on the front door. Carefully, Twilight walked up to the front door and opened it slightly to find out that Fluttershy is behind the door. "Um...hi Twilight" greeted Fluttershy with her usual soft voice. "I was wondering if you happened to have a book about wild plants. You see-" "Wait," interrupted Twilight, didn't you come here yesterday for a book about wild plants?" questioned Twilight. "Oh dear, I-I don't recall." responded Fluttershy. "It's okay, I'll get it for you." Twilight found the book and returned to Fluttershy. "Thanks Twilight." Twilight slammed the door when Fluttershy left the premises, thus waking up Spike. Spike gave out a yawn asked Twilight what's wrong. "Spike, something wierd is going on. Didn't you give the Wild Plants book to Fluttershy yeserday morning?" Spike gave a shrug "No, did you?" "No, I did not. She just came right now and asked me for it, and I remember her yesterday" "Either way," Spike interupted, "I don't think she was here yesterday. Besides, don't you have to attend to Pinkie's for something?" Twilight looked over to Spike with a menacing glare mixed with fear in her eyes. "I went there yesterday too!" Twilight raced around the room, panically. "No, no, don't worry, it's going to be fine. Everything's going to be just fine." Then there was a knock on the door. Twilight opened the door and peered outside to see who it was. It was Pinkie Pie. "Hi Twilight," greeted Pinkie, waving her hoof. Oh good, Pinkie coming here never happened yesterday. "I still have my cool looking watch from yesterday." As Twilight looked at the watch again another series of lightheadiness came. "uh, Pinkie that's a very nice watch you got there but it's making me dizzy." "Yeah me too," replied Pinkie Pie. "Then why are you still wearing it?" asked Twilight." I don't know, It's looks so cool!" "I guess you're right. I'll see you later Pinkie." I have to make sure everything alright. The last thing I did was scorekeep an Iron Pony competition between AJ and RD. When Twilight reached Sweet Apple Acres, She saw Applejack and Rainbow Dash doing a hoof wrestle. Another Iron Pony Competition?! "Hiya Twilight," greeted Applejack, "Would you like to be our scorekeeper-" Applejack continued on as Twilight's eyes widened and a slight heart-stopping moment. "Are you alright, sugarcube?" asked a concerned Applejack. Twilight shook her head to awaken. "Uh, yeah sure. It's just that I remembered that I need to study for an important test tomorrow." Twilight quickly left the scene before Applejack could talk. Twilight Sparkle read books all day long to find a solution to her problem. Nightime quickly approached and no answer was found. Sleepyness overcame her and decided it was time for bed. While in bed, Twilight experienced the same pain from last night but more painful though. She saw the vision of the clock's hands rotating in reverse and stop while making a chime. Once again Twilight woke up from the chime and the pain and found out it was morning. She took one small glance at the clock to see it was 8:46 in the morning. "No...NNOOOO!" Twilight cried out and waking up Spike. "Twilight, what's wrong?" Spike asked alerted but tired. "Spike," she responded in short deep breaths, " I'm trapped, in TIME!" "I must talk to the Princess, she may know what to do. Spike, send a message to Princess Celestia that I need to meet with her." Twilight travels to Canterlot Castle as fast as she could. Inside, Princess Celestia was waiting. "Hello my faithful student, is there something important?" asked the Princess. "Yes, I belive I'm trapped in time, is there any way I can get out?" Princess Celestia looked at Twilight with a scared look. "You didn't happen to look at a watch with a rainbow aurora and a green and white spiral pattern, have you?" "Well, yes, but what's wrong with that?" asked Twilight. "There's a story behind that watch." "500 years ago, a time wizard came by and struck peril on my sujects. He came up with a device that when somepony looks at it, they will be 'lost in time'. It was later called 'Stopwatch.' He would make everypony see the device. The only symptoms they dealt with after seeing the Stopwatch was dizzyness and headaches. At the end of each day, anypony that laid their eyes on it would dissappear and never come back. He was later captured and was brought towards me. He tried to make me look at it, but I stand my ground and sentenced him to the dungeon for life. Rumors went around that he looked at the Stopwatch and took it off. The next morning, we checked his cell and found nothing but the Stopwatch itself. Disposing it was hard because one stare in the watch was the last thing we want to do." Twilight looked up to Princess Celestia with amazement. "Is there anything the time wizard said, possibly about reversing the spell?" She asked. "We tried to get information from him but he refused." Celestia responded, "I'm afraid I can't get you out of your time loop you're stuck in. I'm guessing in the present, we're looking for you right now." Twilight thanked the Princess for her time and left the castle with a gloomy face. Then, she rembered that Pinkie Pie is not following a daily routine like the others. maybe, just maybe... When Twilight reached Ponyville, she races to the pink pony. "Hi Twilight." said Pinkie. "Pinkie, I need to see that Stopwatch of yours" Pinkie takes off the magical watch "Here you go, and it's a watch not a stopwatch, silly!" "Pinkie, you and me are trapped in a time loop and this 'watch' is causing it, I don't know how to stop it but I may have an idea." Twilight slams the Stopwatch down to the ground, causing it to spark. She then stomp on the watch with brute force. Electricity ran from her hoof to her head, and more sparks sputter out of the watch. Every second when Twilight adds more force, the sky starts to flash between blue and black. Twilight gave one last sheer force and the Stopwatch finally breaks. As Twilight stands victorious, massive waves of dizzyness and headaches overcame her. It was all too much for her and collapes. As she fades away, all she hears left was Pinkie celebrating. "Wow Twilight, you were really awesome there! Twilight? You doonn't lloooookkk tooooo grreeaaaat..." "Look she's waking up!" Twilight opens her eyes slowly and sees all of her friends there smiling. "Where am I? Am I dead yet?" Twilight questioned "No, and you're at the hospital. replied Celestia. "Pinkie Pie told me what happened and I'm amazed about what you did. You sacrified you're own life to see if you can get out of your imprisonment. We performed a couple of tests and found out you are traumatized of watches." "The past few days, we were looking for you and Pinkie Pie." Rainbow dash said, "and we're happy to find you two." added Fluttershy. The only thing Twilight said before her friends leave to give her rest was "Thanks." She then looked at the clock on the wall and saw it was 8:46 in the morning.
