Epilogue - They Should Keep You Away From Mirrors

Previous Chapter

The sound of hoof steps on the polished marble floor echoed clearly in the large foyer of the mansion. After taking off their winter coats for the servants to hang up, Night Light and Twilight Velvet were escorted through the extravagantly decadent halls of the large luxury home. After a short trip, the sharply dressed servant showed the married couple into a grand living room overlooking a portion of the city of Manehatten. At the far side of the room, the couple of the home were sitting together, quietly chatting on the posh sofa.

"Master Orange? Your guests have arrived." The servant called out.

Glancing up, the mare and the stallion rose up from the couch and made their way towards their esteemed visitors, the stallion with an overjoyed look on his face. "Night! Twilight! It's so good to see you again!" He and his wife gave both of them a warm hug in greeting. With a curt nod, the master dismissed his servant.

Night Light smiled warmly to his best friend. "It's great to see you, too, Mosely. It's been far been too long."

"Twilight..." Mosely turned to her. "...I heard you and Night had a foal since the last time we've met?"

"Two, actually." She grinned. "One is the Prince of the Crystal Empire, and the other is a Princess of Equestria. Both are national heroes, AND I managed to get back into shape after two foals! Night and I like to think that we got more than we invested for with those two."

"With hefty dividends in the financial forecast!" Night Light chimed in, winking.

Mosely did his best to keep that stupid smile off his face, but after a futile effort, he took them into another hug before they got the chance to see a small tear threatening to fall from his eye. Letting them go from the embrace, he placed a small kiss on each of their cheeks.

After a small chat about significant events in both families' lives, Mosely led the group to continue their catching-up over on the couch. Before Mosely took his seat, however, he excused himself for a moment. "Give me a second, there's something I need to show you..."

True to his word, he returned in no time at all, carrying something held against his chest with one hoof. Night was the first to recognize what it was as his face lit up. "I found it just the other day, covered in quite a bit of dust..." He set it down in front of the very large-screened television that occupied the room and turned back to the group with a wily look in his eyes.

"Would anyone like to play some N64?"
