I'm Zach Butchfield, and I have finally come to my realization. I'm a closet brony and wish for it to remain that way. But, I tell you my story.
I was just talking with some of my friends when Troy had come up on us. My friends all had very convincing aliases...but that wasn't a skill I had.
"So, which one of you dumbasses stole my stuff, huh?" Troy said lumbering over us.
"I was in Ms.Firna's, in detention yesterday so I didn't take it. I swear." Mark said. It was actually true.
"I went home early. Had an appointment. So lay off me Troy." Jeff said. It was partly true. He just wanted to go home though.
"I was getting mugged outside yesterday after school. Damn bastards stole almost everything." Dean said.He obviously lied ,but Troy seemed to take it with a laugh.
"It wasn't me so don't get all in my face, Troy." I instantly regretted my words and got a punch to the face in the now empty halls. My friends had all ran fast towards the principal's office. I was still getting my ass whooped at the time. I fell on the ground hard and rolled to the side, moving out of the way of his punch. I was useless without some kind of melee weapon. Until I got my hands on one I would be screwed. And the Principal's office was all the way on the other side of the school. I got a knee in my gut which released all my breath. I saw that the Janitor still had his stuff out of the cleaning closet so I started to crawl over there slowly. It was about five feet off when Troy grabbed my leg and tried hauling me up. I acted fast using my arms I managed to kick him in his face. That made him drop me. I scrambled to my feet grabbed the metal mop and broke the mop part off. Now it was just a hollow pipe. As he ran toward me blood coming down his face from the kick, I moved to the right when he was about to tackle me. Using the mop as a sword I brought it down on his neck.It hit the major artery their, making him stunned. I didn't know what drove me to hit there, it was like I knew where to direct my blows. I then proceeded to knock the hell out of him until the mop broke. By then I got in a couple swings. I then began running like hell to the principal's office. I ran into my friends along the way.
"You look horrible dude. Your nose is bleeding like hell." Dean said.
"Young man what is going on!?" the principal shouted at Troy.
"This guy here stole my stuff." Troy said pointing to me.He had bruises all over his back and one on the back of his neck. None of them could be seen.
"I didn't you assumed such. Then you proceeded to try to whip the shit out of me!" I shouted back at him.
"Troy let me speak with you for a moment in my office. You boys can go on ahead. Zach, you have a warning for suspension or expellation." the principal said.
It was already the end of the day and as we were all walking home I spoke up.
"Guys...I realize something." I said in a dreadful voice.
"What?"Mark inquired.
"Why do we struggle?All of us is going to die one day.Everything will be gone.So why the hell do we try to survive?" I said loudly.
"Dude, chill." Jeff said patting me on the back, but I shrugged him off.
"I was staring Death in the eyes...I could have well died from a good uppercut. I know Troy was planning it." I said.
"He might of. But, still there is a reason we struggle. To be with the ones we love. Our friends and family." Dean responded saying it like a sage.
"Yea...But, one day that won't be there...I'm not gonna see you all for a very long time." I said as I bolted from the group to my house.
I was always faster than them. I was fastest in my school no one could keep up with me. I was fast at everything, had smarts but, lacked most physical strength. They called to me, but I ignored them. All I could focus on was being alone.
I arrived at my house. I went in and ran up to my room and pulled my laptop up onto my lap. I pulled up Microsoft Word. I began to record my thoughts down of this ugly truth. When I finished, I saved the document, closed it, then put my laptop into sleep mode. I decided to go to bed early. I woke up had breakfast and got the sword. I started to train in my open living room. I did nothing else that day.
The third day in a row I stayed home I had visitors. I was training with the sword and had the armor on. It surprisingly fit me perfect. I felt compelled to keep training with it, but I didn't know why. I heard a window upstairs break. I walked quietly upstairs and pushed open my door. I saw nothing. I did the same with the bathroom as well. I opened my parent's room up. Before I laid my hand on it, it opened. I froze and gripped the sword tight. I was staring down the barrel of a pistol. I bolted down the hall way, the armor making a lot of clashing noise. I ran down the stairs and heard someone following me. I decided enough running. I turned to see...
"TROY! What the hell!?" I shouted.
"Miss me? I am going to get you back now for what you did...so hold still." Troy said with a smile as he pointed the pistol to my head while I had the helmet on.
He fired and to me it seemed things went slower. For some reason, my body told me the bullet was an arrow that I could easily cut with the sword. I don't know where I got the idea, but I positioned the blade in the middle of the bullet and charged forth. The bullet was cut in two and bent their direction. They made two half circle holes in the wall behind me. I saw Troy look scared as he started to climb the staircase. I kept running and grabbed his leg as it was on a higher step. I pulled with all my might and he fell and came tumbling down the short climb he made. He created a thud as he landed on his back. He then pointed the pistol to my forehead. I froze once more.
"How the hell did you do that!?" Troy yelled at me,"Doesn't matter because now...you're dead." He squeezed the trigger but as he did so I moved my arm fast and swatted it away.
He then had a look of fear rather than malice. I brought down the sword gripping it in both my hands as I pierced his chest and punctured his heart. I knew where his was exactly, this stunned me. He died out a moment later. I heard a knock on the door. I looked in to see who it was. It was as I thought Mark, Dean, and Jeff. I let them in. I had the bloodied sword in my hand and they saw it then Troy as they walked in.
"What the hell, man?! Why would you kill him!?" Dean snapped.
"He was trying to kill me...at gun-point." I responded and they all knew that it sounded like Troy," We should get him to the lake and dump him before someone finds out, I do not feel like dealing with legal stuff right now."
" Alright...Jeff could you ge-"Mark was about to ask Jeff.
" Get my pickup? sure" He then ran off down the street towards his house. I let the others in.
" So, where is this gun?" Dean asked as he and Mark looked over Troy.
" I swatted it from his hand before he shot." I pointed at the wall that was sitting between the couch and TV.
" I guess we're good since you are alive...and that bastard is dead." Mark said and poked troy with his foot.
" Yea, he won't be back anytime soon....I pierced his heart." I said as I heard Jeff pull up. We all went to the door and opened it. Right there was his pickup, the back end facing us.
" Load him up." Jeff said,"fast."
We didn't talk at all and just picked up Troy and threw him in the back along with a powerful water sprayer. We also placed the gun back there. Jeff went to dump him in the lake and clean the blood off from his truck while we stayed and started to clean the blood stains. I had already cleaned the sword and my armor off and set it back and joined cleaning the blood off the floor. We finished early and said our goodbyes since my parents would probably be home. Just before I started up the stairs after they all left I heard a crack of lightning in the back yard. The sky was clear which was very unordinary. I went into the backyard and there I saw the best thing that had ever happened to me.
I was closet brony, so no one knew I watched Friendship is Magic. But right there....in my backyard was. A lavender unicorn..Laying unconscious...I took her inside and laid her on my bed putting my blanket over her. I returned downstairs to figure out what to do. My phone rang as I was at the bottom of the stairs..it was Mark.
"Dude, I can't believe you killed him. We all know you must be still depressed after what you realized.... So, cheer up man."He said.
"I just did about a minute ago. I'll come back to school tomorrow. You didn't tell anyone what I did, correct?"
"Yea we didn't tell a soul. When you get back to school though prepare for homework. And tell us why you are so happy all of a sudden when you get back, kay."
"Of course. Thanks, man.I owe you one.See ya."
"Bye."
I heard shuffling upstairs and headed into my room. Twilight was up, but I didn't dare say her name without her friends to hold her back.
"Hey..." I said calmly and in a low volume. I was half scared for my life at the moment. I think she saw my fear when she turned around.
"Who are you, what are you, and where am I!?"she yelled.
I entered the room slowly and closed the door I crouched so I was at her eye level,"I'm Zach Butchfield. I'm seventeen years old and I'm a human. You are on Earth, a planet in our Solar System able to sustain life." I said calm still fearing she will zap me with a magic bolt.
"Okay." she responded.
"I'm not going to hurt you. You have my word. But don't yell. I don't need my neighbors thinking I'm crazy. And you can't let anyone see you. You aren't natural to this world and could get sent off to be tested upon if other people were to discover you."
"I'll keep it down then,"she replied,"And I understand not to go outside or be seen."
"Now, can you tell me about you?" I said without fear.
"Yes. I'm a unicorn. My name is Twilight Sparkle. I come from Equestria."
"I guess I'll have to take care of you till we can figure out how to get you home." I said.
"Oh, I arrived here by using a magic spell that turned terribly wrong. I guess I used too much of a long distance teleportation to a place I didn't know."
"Its okay," I moved closer to her a bit and sat down instead of crouching,"I'll keep you safe here. I'm sure someone will come for you. And how old are you? I told you my age."
"I'm fifteen years old." she replied.
"And this magic that you use. We don't have it here so don't let anyone see you use it, okay? Now if you need something just let me know. The bathroom is the door right across from this room. Which this is my room."
"Okay." she said and I continued.
"I will be here tomorrow all day. But Sunday my parents will be back from their third honeymoon. Monday through Friday I won't be here unless my school cancels."
"Alright. Don't worry nothing bad will happen." Twilight said.
"Anyways you are free to go anywhere around the house unless someone is here or there is a knock on the door. If so then hide in my bedroom. I will let you know if someone is here. Right now, no one is so you can feel free to look around." I said
She didn't respond but just rather opened the door with her magic and walked outside my room to check the bathroom first. After she saw it was your ordinary bathroom she checked downstairs where the living room, kitchen, and dining room was. She then went back upstairs into my parents room and saw nothing of particular interest she then went back into my room. She spoke up as she sat down on my bed with me.
"So, do you have any books?" I knew that question was coming.
"Only a dictionary and thesaurus,"I replied and her head went down I spoke quickly,"But we can watch some information TV channels."
"What's a TV?" she asked
"Lemme show you." I grabbed my laptop on which had my thoughts and ideas. I headed downstairs to our living room.
I turned on the TV and flipped off the food network and flipped to the history channel,"This is a TV or television if you fancy. It picks up signals and shows us what is going on and being said on the screen at that area. It can also play games and movies if you have the equipment for it."I said,"Anything you need.
"Nope." Twilight responded listening to every word from the television which was talking about occurrences with unnatural creatures.
"You know you are welcome to sit on the couch, right?"
"Oh, I can?"
"Of course, you are like a guest anyways." I said and with that she hopped on the couched and laid down watching the TV like it was the most interesting thing ever. I opened my laptop and begin typing down my thoughts trying to sort out each emotion I had using Microsoft Word.
"What's that?" Twilight asked quizzically.
"Its a laptop. You can browse many things with it, shop, play games, and even record stuff. Which is what I am doing now."I replied. She looked back at the TV.
There was a knock on the door after about forty minutes,"Quick, go up to my bedroom and hide."
She did as I said running up the stairs. Thankfully we had carpet and she wasn't heard too much. I heard my door close. I got up and answered the door. Mark was there.
"Oh thank god. You had me scared for a minute."
"Why would I scare you? Anyways, what made you so damn happy?"
"First you will need to know something that I have hidden from everyone. Don't tell anyone, but the others."Mark nodded his head as I continued my story,"I am a brony."
"So? Doesn't make it any different. Now what is it that made you happy?"
"I will show you, come on." I said then led him upstairs,"You gotta trust me on this Mark. Don't tell the other guys they don't know how to keep their traps shut." he nodded knowing too well. I opened the door and called.
"Twilight?"
She stepped out from under the bed and asked,"Is he one of your friends?"
"I-I am...."Mark was completely shocked.
"Well, in that case, I'm Twilight Sparkle and you are?"
"Mark." he calmed down.
"Don't worry, Twilight, he won't tell a soul."Mark nodded completely calm,"Anyways, I was also hoping you would help me hide her so she doesn't get sent off to a lab and you know.."I drifted off.
"I would help you through anything, man. You know I would." Mark responded
"So do you have any idea's on how to keep me hidden, Mark." Twilight inquired.
"Well, if we needed a place to fall back on you could stay in my basement. No one goes down there,but me." he replied.
"That's not that bad. Except for how would we get her over there?"I asked.
"Zach, did you forget I had a pickup truck given to me for my last birthday."
"Nope...didn't forget."it was obvious I was lieing.
"Anyways, I'll be going now my mom is probably worrying her head about me. You know how she is." with that Mark left through the front door and I locked it behind him. Twilight headed back down stairs and laid on the couch watching the TV again.
I finished my thoughts on my laptop and closed it then went back upstairs to put it on the charger. I heard Twilight call from downstairs.
"Hey, Zach."
"Yea?" I answered as I went back down the stairs.
"I'm getting hungry...and thirsty."
"On it." I said and went into the kitchen. I grabbed two apples and a glas of water. She floated the items using her magic to her and started to eat and drink, but stopped and said.
"Thank you." she blushed forgetting her manners and I sat down with her watching the TV with her. It soon got late and I looked over at the family sword, remembering what I had done. I spoke up and looked to Twilight.
"We should probably get some sleep."
"I can sleep with you then.I don't want to be seen right?"
"Right."
As we walked up the stairs everything being turned off downstairs I remembered.I have no place for her to sleep. In my mind i was thinking exactly 'fuck me'.
When we reached my room I opened the door and walked in. Twilight used her magic and closed the door after us.Then asked me.
"So, where will I sleep?" Twilight asked quizzically.
"Guess you'll have you sleep with me up on the bed." I answered and I saw a blush visible under her mane. I was fighting my own red cheeks off, I was always good at hiding my embarrassment. I got another blanket out from my closet and laid it out next to the one that was already on it. I laid down.
"Okay..." her voice drifted off as she climbed in and using her magic pulled the blanket over her. I turned to face the wall and she did the same to face the opposite wall from what I heard.
"Night." I said obviously embarrassed now.
"N-night."Twilight responded even more embarrassed than me.
I drifted to sleep fast, almost after I closed my eyes and she did the same assuming what I heard before I went to sleep was her snores.
Author's Note
So begins the story.I plan to have multiple endings.I may place them at different parts of the story so I will give fair warning.
I awoke right before dawn then remembered it was Sunday. I mentally scolded my body saying,'Damn you, internal clock'.
I opened my eyes looked down to my right sensing heat and saw that Twilight had snuggled me, her head in my chest and I had put an arm around her. I closed my eyes but didn't fall back asleep I just laid there. I heard her shuffle and wake after what seemed to be two hours. I spoke up.
"Morning, Twilight. Get comfy during your sleep?" her eyes shot open after what she heard from me.
"I, uh...."Twilight couldn't find the words.
"Don't worry bout' it. Your coat is quite soft though. Helped me sleep better."
Her cheeks went crimson as she blushed,"Sorry"she stammered out getting up off of me
"It's fine...now lets get you some food, alright." I stood up and grabbed a change of clothes laying them on the bathroom counter before returning to my room to say,"My parents aren't home yet but still stay in here and make yourself comfy. I bring up some breakfast."
I bolted downstairs and started to quickly make pancake batter without making a mess. I think cooked five pancakes and cleaned the pan having the pancake on two plates both with syrup and some butter. The door unlocked and I bolted upstairs quickly with the plates grabbing forks and knives on my way. The door opened as I closed my bedroom door.I let out a breath and saw Twilight looking out the window. She spoke up.
"What is that moving thing?"
"A car.It's how we get around.Now would you like three or two pancakes?"I asked.
"Um, two."
"If you want three you can just say so."
"No, I'm fine." with that she levitated the plate with the eating utensils and started eating with all three item having a purple aura around them. I sat down on my bed and began eating finishing a little after Twilight did.
I took both plates once we were done and headed outside my room. I heard heavy snores from my parents' room so I believed they were still asleep. I went downstairs rinsed the dishes I had used and put them in the dishwasher. I headed back upstairs opened the door and shut it. I was greeted by a random hug.
"I forgot to really thank you for taking care of me."
I thought in my head and knew this was an excuse to hug me. There were a few girls at my school who liked me since I could understand anyone's situation and had a sense of humor, I didn't like any of them since they weren't my type. I placed my arm around her neck,"Its nothing."
My parents were awake by that time and my blood felt like it froze through me and my mom had said,"Zach, you talking to someone?"
Twilight whispered in my ear,"Let them know who I am and why I am here..." I hesitantly nodded.
"Actually mom....I am..."I started to regret my words.
"You know you're not supposed to have anyone over while we are gone." she opened the door and was about to scream at the sight of Twilight.I quickly covered her mouth firmly with my hands.
"I know I have some explaining to do..."
We woke up dad and brought him into the living room where Twilight was waiting for us.
"What the hell...Was I so drunk I am seeing purple unicorns?"my dad had said. Twilight giggled at this.
"No, dad....We all see Twilight here...just stay calm ok." I said trying to remain calm myself.
"So, why is it here and what is it?" my mom asked. Twilight felt hurt from the expression here on my face. I walked over to her where she sat on the recliner.
"She isn't an it. She is very intelligent. In fact just as intelligent as I am..." I said as I petted her head and she looked up at me smiling.
"Ok...Haha. You can stop with the puppet prank,"my dad said.
"I'm not a puppet.I'm a unicorn. My name is Twilight Sparkle. Your son has been taking care of me ever since I accidently landed on your planet since my magic went out of control." Twilight said.
"WHAT!?" my dad yelled his eyes bugged out as well as my mom's.
"She just needs to stay here until someone from her place can come get her,"I said,"So let her stay.I don't want an innocent little unicorn being tested on in some lab."
"I say she can stay...It is quite obvious she needs our help." my mom said.
"I guess she can stay." my dad agreed.
Twilight and me both smiled at this and I spoke up,"Thanks mom, dad. Mark already knows about her so we don't have to hide her from him.He can keep a secret." my dad nodded and walked back upstairs to continue sleeping as did my mom.
"Well, that went better than I thought." I said then hugged Twilight out of joy.She blushed wildly at this.
"I agree." she responded and I let go of her.I turned on the good ole' big magic box(aka the television[if some people didn't know])and the Xbox.I picked up both the guitars and laid one next to Twilight. I began to speak as she opened her mouth.
"You just press the buttons here,"I pointed to the neck of the guitar and she nodded,"when the notes come on the screen you strum this,"I pointed to the strum bar,"and press the correct buttons at the same time to play.This is a game we that the whole family usually plays,"I pointed to a drum set for guitar hero and a mic laying on top of its seat,"You can use your magic though right?"
She nodded and her horn started to glow. A purple smoke clouded puffed out from her hooves in quickly cleared away.In the place of them were hands. I connected both the controllers and took the guitar in the right place. Twilight followed suit and stood holding it the same way I did. I had inserted Guitar Hero 2(copyright bla bla bla). I selected multiplayer and co-op obviously.I then selected Hangar 18.I just loved Megadeth. She chose medium and I was surprised. Most people choose easy on their first go. I chose Expert having beaten the game in all modes but easy. As the song started she picked up every trick and tip I knew fast.She was like a natural. She went up to hard, but couldn't go any higher.It was about noon when her hands dissappeared.
Chapter 3:Finding a Reason...
Its been a month. My friends and me have been hanging out and doing great. Me and Twilight still haven't gotten any contact from her world called Equestria. She explained her friends and Equestria to me in detail.We had become quite good friends. She would still have to sleep in my bed but I didn't mind. Sometimes she would wake up snuggling me, but after a few times it wouldn't be awkward at all.
Mark would come over once in a while.My parents had no problems with her after a while.
My life would forever change when she asked a question. But before I get to that my birthday was before.When I turned eighteen.
I walked into our house to see my parents, Mark, and Twilight waiting with a cake.
"No way!Three layer cake.In the shape of eighteen."I said not believing.
"You can thank Twilight. Without her smart mind we couldn't make this."my dad said smiling.
I ran up to Twilight, crouched, then pulled her into a hug,"Thank you so much, Twilight."
"Its your birthday! We have to celebrate."she said with a small blush.
My mom then spoke up."We have decided that as your gift...you get..."
Mark finished,"The armor and that fucking sweet sword!"my parents let him swear there.
"You're joking..."I said with a huge smile then let go of Twilight.
"Not only that, but Twilight looked up some jobs fitting for you."my mom said.
"Twilight.You are such a good friend." she blushed hard at that.
"Well what are we waiting for...lets PARTY!"Mark said as Jeff and Dean popped out from the kitchen counter
"EHHyooo!"They both said,"We know yo secret and we're here to keep it." I thought that was planned.
"You poured a lot into this...Thank you all." I said with a bigger smile on my face.
Dean and Jeff joined Mark.
"We pitched in..."Mark started.
"And got you..."Dean continued.
"A car! Now you have one just like the rest of us."Jeff finished,"even though it isn't in the best shape..."he whispered quietly.
"I love you guys!"I pulled the three into a big hug.
Twilight turned on a rented stereo using her magic. It played...a very familiar tune...Pump It by The Black Eyed Peas.
"Even my favorite dance song.You guys outdid yourself...."
"Wait till you see what I planned for later." My dad had said.
We partied, danced our asses off, and everyone even sat down to some Guitar Hero. After we were done with that and th clock struck midnight, my dad brought us all outside.
"Can't wait to see what it is...."
My dad laid out a lot of identical wooden swords big enough for each of us. Twilight used her limb copy spell so she could use hands. Once everyone took a sword my dad spoke once more.
"Now we had a good ole time sword fighting. "He said and beckoned us to come out into the yard with him.
"I hope Twilight isn't seen..." I whispered to myself.
"I'll be fine, Zach." she heard me since I didn't notice she was the closest near me and had great ears.
We eventually all spread out across the yard.
"Ready everyone?" Mark asked.
All of us nodded in agreement.
"Fight!" Jeff said as he charged me.
Twilight went towards Mark and they both were about equal. My mom went after Dean who just waited for people to come. My dad was waiting for someone to lose. The rules were that three hits and you are out. Jeff charged at me, his sword raised.
I met Jeff's blade with great force and we held. I started to speak while our faces were close.
"Not bad for your first time."
"I did shoot guns before...and the way Troy used to breathe down our necks I know how to fight."
I slid to the side suddenly catching him off guard. I sliced his back once they stabbed him with the wooden, blunt blade. He swore for a moment. We all had padded vests on so we felt it but didn't get hurt.We had full arm and leg protection with a helmet.
"Oh, I'll get you for that."he said and turned noticing I wasn't there.
"What the hell!?Don't be a ninja, man."
"Too late for that," I landed on his shoulders with my legs making him fall forward,"And for the Templars!" I then stabbed his head. I wondered where the hell I got the idea to say that.
"You got lucky..."
"Nope I got skills."I said as he went to sit down.
I looked over at Dean and he had won against my mom. Mark looked beat as he kept hitting Twilight's sword. The two exchanging blows and blocks. Dean then looked at me and smirked.
"I guess I'm good."he said as I approached him
"Not as good as me...."I said intimidating him
"Let's see then."
"Fine!" I brought my blade down to which he dodged to the left and went to stab me.
I flipped over him then stabbed him while I faced away. Before he turned I grabbed his legs and slid under him. I then slashed his stomach and he fell over from the surprise attack. I then stood over him and brought my blade down stabbing his chest. I still didn't get where this skill was coming from.
"You won..."He said and I offered him my hand up and he took it. I pulled him up.
"Don't sweat it."I said and he walked over and started talking to my mom and Jeff while they watched us fight. I looked over and saw Twilight hit right above the hand guard of Mark's.She spun her sword around making him drop it.She then slashed him three times. My dad started to walk towards me. He spoke up first.
"So we are down to three...."
"Yep, lets do this." I replied . We both engaged in heated combat.
Twilight had stood and watched us fight. Our swords were going at a super fast speed to keep up with each other. We would sometimes jump over, dodge, or try to disarm to win. As my dad brought down his sword I stabbed past it catching his blade with my hand guard but still hitting him.He had gotten a hit on me earlier when I least expected it. Once I stabbed him I quickly twisted to the left and instead of hitting him I hit his blade hard.It made him lose a lot of grip on it. I then slashed twice while he tried to wrap his fingers around the handle to gain grip again. The slashes made contact.
"You are quite good with the ways of our first generation family."
"Thanks, dad."
"It looks like you have one more fight to win though." he said and I nodded my head.
I gripped my sword tight slowly approaching Twilight in a battle stance. The others were watching me,"Are you ready?" I asked.
"Ready when you are." she responded.
I swung my blade across to start to which she blocked and we started exchanging blows. We were both already extremely exhausted. I had a little more energy. As we locked weapons for a moment I flipped over using Twilight's sword. I then stabbed three times. She began to speak.
"You are really good..."
"I know...but I can do better." I responded.
After the big battle all my friends had head home. The cake had been completely eaten and my friends took home the rest of the pizza we had ordered. Thankfully, we had all graduated by then so I could crash out. I walked up to my room the armor and sword already in it. I clunked out on my bed staring at the ceiling. I felt sleep coming and Twilight laying at my side. I started to speak.
"Thanks for everything, Twilight." I said as I hugged her.

Chapter 4:...To Not Leave
I woke up and Twilight was standing beside the bed looking at me with worry and intent on something in her eyes. She began to speak.
"I need to tell you something. But, you have to promise not to get mad." she said looking at me with all seriousness.
"What is it, Twi?" I rubbed my eyes and looked at her again.
"I had contact with Princess Celestia two days ago. She gave me until the end of today. Then, I would return
"I'm not mad...I'm actually happy for you." I was holding back some tears.I didn't want to become what I did
"I also need to tell you another thing..." She blushed leaving me with my emotion that I had mastered at hiding
"Yes?"
"I....I like you."
"Duh, who wouldn't." I was messing around with her, but she didn't seem to see it.
"No, I mean more than that. On a-a past best friend level." she said struggling to keep eye contact.
"Let me go back to Equestria with you." I said with a stern look.
"What?"
"You heard me. Let me go back to Equestria with you. I..the feeling is mutual here."
She beamed up,"You really mean it?!?"
"Yep...But, let me go out I have some things I must take care of really quick."
"O-okay. But, I will have to speak to the Princess about you coming."
"Alright." I said as I grabbed some paper with a pencil off the desk in the bedroom and walked out of the apartment without grabbing breakfast.
It had been a year and a half since my eighteenth birthday. I had gotten a place and lived in a one bedroom apartment. It was all I could afford. Before two months before my nineteenth birthday my parents had gotten into a car accident. The whole front side of the car was flattened inward making my parents get crushed and killed instantly. Twilight was at the funeral but had put up an illusion spell so she looked human. It was a very mournful day.
I got into my car and drove a little bit over the speed limit. I always did. I arrived at Mark's place which was about four miles away. I got out of the car leaving it parked on the quiet street, half way on the sidewalk.I then wrote down a note.The note read:'I may not be here any longer Mark. You have always been a good friend to me as well as the others. But, you stood with me no matter what. I hope you have a great life here.'. I left the note wedged between his front door and didn't knock since I noticed his car wasn't there. I went to my other friends places which weren't as close as marks. I left similar notes and never knocked if the car was there or not. It had taken me four hours to do. I started driving back to my apartment.
As I arrived back at my apartment and entered I was greeted by a white coated pony with a twice as long horn as Twilight's. I laid the paper and pencil on a stand next to the couch and continued to inspect her. She had a colorful waving mane that had a mix of stripes in pink green and blue. She had a sun on her flank and huge wings sprouting from her. I was wondering what exactly she was doing here. Twilight spoke up from behind me.
"I have to go back to Equestria. Princess Celestia needs me."she said remorsefully.
"So, then she is Princess Celestia then?"I asked just to make sure.
"Yes, that I am. Twilight said you needed to ask me something." the white alicorn said.
"Assuming that she already told you about me while I was out on errands."I said then continued,"I want to
Celestia was stunned at the request and made a conclusion quickly, saying,"No." just those two simple letters
Twilight then began to plead,"Please, Princess.Let him come he has become such a good friend to me."tears
I spoke up as well,"And maybe something more than just that," I said with a tint of red over my cheeks and resumed speaking,"I also came to realize.There is nothing left for me here.My friends all moved away. My parents had died in a car accident.I would hate to go on in this world with nothing to live for. If I came to Equestria I would have someone to struggle for, Twilight."I pleaded then walked over to Twilight, wrapped my arms around her and pulled her in for a tight embrace. It seemed to help stop her tears.
Celestia showed a distressed face then asked,"If I bring you to Equestria. Would you hurt any of my little ponies?"
"You have my eternal word.I would never harm any of them.That is IF I go."I responded then turned back to
Celestia then nodded,"If Twilight says you can be trusted then so be it.You may come to Equestria."I beamed
"Thank you.Thank you!THANK you!"I responded then let go of her and started to pack,"You don't mind if I

"Then we should leave at once.The other elements are probably worried sick of us."she said in a motherly tone.
Her horn then lit up golden and all three of us did as well. A portal had opened below us and we fell through it.Inside it was rainbow color streaked as we reached the end we came out and landed in some sort of castle. Celestia and Twilight had landed on their hooves.But, I landed on my stomach with a "Oof." Five other ponies were in front of me staring at me in shock."Um, hi."was all I muttered out.
"What in tarnation is that?!" a orange pony with a blond mane and tail that were tied at the ends said.
"This is Zach Butchfield, a human." Twilight spoke up for me as I stood up and stretched.
"And what is he doing here, darling?" a white coated pony with a curled mane and tail.
"Because....I...Well...er..To be honest,"I said knowing I couldn't find a way out,"Twilight here was the one who turned my life around.I had nothing to live for when I realized it.And I'll be damned to hell if I go back to that!"
Twilight blushed at that then began to speak,"Really!?You mean it?"
"Every.Single.Word." I responded
"Well, that's touching.But, he still doesn't belong here." a rainbow maned and tailed pegasus said with a cyan
"I allowed him here. So, long has he doesn't threaten the lives of my little ponies."Princess Celestia said tired of remaining quiet.The ponies all bowed before her except for me.
"Rise my little ponies."Princess Celestia responded.I just stood among them with a confused look.
"So, who are you all?"I asked relieved to get my question out.
Twilight answered,"This is Rainbow Dash,"she pointed to the cyan pegasus with a rainbow mane and tail,"This is Pinkie Pie,"she nodded towards a Pink pony with a huge grin on her face that was bouncing ecstatically,"She is Applejack,"she looked at the blonde man and tail orange pony who tipped her hat,"Rarity,"she turned her head and looked at the white unicorn with a purple curled mane and coiled tail,"And over there is Fluttershy," she pointed to a yellow pegasus with a pink mane and tail cowering behind a huge potted tree.
"It's a pleasure to meet you all," I said with a smile on my face.
"Oh, so he's a gentleman?" Rarity said looking at me with interest while Twilight shot her a look of anger. I could imagine myself with a sweat drop right about now.
"You could say that. But, I do know how to have some fun.Anyways, I would like to get to business.A place to call home and all that biz."I said with a little worry.
"You can stay h-"Princess Celestia started.
"Sorry, Princess.But he can stay with me.That is if he doesn't have a problem with it?"Twilight interrupted and Celestia only smiled.(She is kinda...almost all knowing with her very predictionary mind)
"I'm fine with it."I shrugged smiling at Twilight,"So, Can I get my things settled?"i asked Twilight still a little uncomfortable with all the eyes being on me.
"Of course.You should git all comfy' and stuff."Applejack said.
With that we talked about what went on during Twilight's visit while we moved toward the train station.
As soon as we left through the gates of the castle ponies stared at me. I was making me very uncomfortable.I wished I could go invisible for the moment.It didn't keep me from looking about and marveling everything though. As we approached the train station we were let on with no charge and Celestia flew off back towards the castle. We were on a separate car for privacy since Twilight and the other must have been of important position.
Author's Note
Anyone who gets the Soul Calibur V reference and names who said it gets a cookie.That idea came to me clearly.
In the middle of this chapter is where I will add an alternate ending.Just for a fair warning. It is a sad ending.
As the train arrived the ponies split off along the way to Twilight's library. Through the whole walk ponies stared at me, I understood why of course. We approached the library and opened the door, I had to bend down a little to fit through the door.
"What is that thing!?" a boy voice shouted and I turned to it. It was a purple dragon with a light green belly
Twilight was about to speak up but I interupted her,"I'll have you know, baby dragon, that I mean quite a lot
"Zach..." I looked down to see a blush over Twilight's face. I then realized what I had said and face palmed hard with a big blush.
"Um...uh...I'm Spike then....I'll just be going then..." Spike left at the awkward situation trying grasp hold of what had just happened.
"Sorry, I embarrassed you, Twi...I guess I just flipped out at that offensive question..."I said as I removed my hand from my face and looked down at her.
"It's fine he would have to know sometime." Twilight said with a smile,"Anyways, I don't have a guest room since this is a library, so you'll just have to sleep with me."she blushed knowing I would have to share her bed.
She showed me the room and I placed the grey cloth bag down and started to unpack. I brought out my laptop with my Xbox and guitar hero with two guitars and the games of the series. I had a small flatscreen TV that once occupied my bedroom. I then pulled out different sets of clothes along with the suit of armor and the Templar sword.
"Really, you brought all that?" Twilight asked.
"It may seem overkill, but I know you love Guitar Hero just as much as me and my laptop...well that was mandatory. It houses all my thoughts and ideas. "I said as I positioned the television on a dresser in the room that was away from the bed. I hooked up all the wires to it like a pro. I then put my folded clothes onto the floor stacked and arranged. I brought out the armor stand and set it next to the dresser. I then put the sword on a plaque I had bought for it. I put the plaque onto the wall with a simple nail and hammer I brought.
"I don't know how you plan to make it work..."
"You did say you have a lightning rod on the place right?"
"Yea...Oh, you plan to hook the Xbox up to it since that is electricity." she caught on while I started assembling the armor on the stand carefully.
"Yep. I'm sure I could figure something out. Or well, we can."I said with a slight blush, trying to get myself used to flirting with her a bit.
Twilight blushed as well,"We're practically dating right now aren't we?"
"Yep...you guys totally are.."Spike came in through the door while I was assembling the armor.
"You put two and two together, good. I'm sorry for yelling at you earlier. I just found your question highly offensive." I apologized and had half of the armor in place.
"It's fine. Now who are you?"
"He is Zach Butchfield. He isn't from Equestria at all and Princess Celestia allowed him to stay here."Twilight said for me.
"Yep.That is who I am,"I said as I finished putting the armor together and turned to face the dragon,"And you are Spike, Twilight's No. 1 assistant."I stated.
"Exactly. So you two are dating?"Spike asked
"Yes, we are." Twilight said before I responded. I just looked down at her and smiled.
"Ooooh, wait till the others hear about this!" Spike said with a mischievous smile and ran off fast.
Twilight was about to give chase, but I put my hand on her shoulder,"Let him...It's better they know now. Besides, they probably already guessed." I said and Twilight calmed down.
"You're right..." Twilight said smiling at me.
"Anyways, I am gonna figure this electricity biz out.."I said and went on,"Do you have any paper and pens?" I asked.
"I have parchment and quills. Will that work?" Twilight asked and floated in a stack of parchment with two quills and three ink pots.
"Yep. I need to start on this. Or we can if you want to help."I said and she placed the items over to the desk.
"I would, but I have some studying to catch up on." Twilight said happily.
I just smiled and then sat down on the awkward small chair. It didn't break under my weight which had surprised me. I began to start some simple ideas. The one that made most sense to me was using some spark plugs with a giant battery operation machine. I still kept going with more ideas then started to write down materials. I was going to need a lot of steel and other metals. I then estimated the number before I got up and scooted the papers to the side of the desk to clear some room.
I didn't see Twilight on the way outside. I assumed she was either running errands or studying in a different room. I looked up at the tree library the best I could. I couldn't see the lightning rod. A thought then hit me...webcam. My laptop has a webcam. I can do this. I walked inside again and came out with my laptop. Luckily, it has about one fourth of its battery. The webcam was built in so as hard as it would be to get a glimpse of the lightning rod I would still try. I turned on the webcam and made it record. I lowered the laptop still having it in my hands.I angled it the screen so it would go up straight and catch the top of the library. After a couple throws I finally caught a good enough picture in one of the frames. The battery had gotten down to twelve percent. I then ran inside fast and started to copy the image before my laptop lost power. It had just nine percent of battery left when I finished. I closed the program and the lid making it need my password to be required to access. The lightning rod was just a simple metal pipe with other sticking out of it. At the end of each pipe there was a metal ball. I assumed the lightning struck there most often.
As I was just about to look through my plans I heard a knock at the door. I assumed Twilight would answer, but the knock came again.
"Twilight!?" I called out a little concerned,"Someo-somepony is at the door." I said loudly, but not loud enough for the visitor to hear it. The knock came again, louder.
I decided to answer it. I walked down out of the room and to the window next to the front door. I peeked out the corner of it. Rarity was there.
I opened the door and looked down at the mare,"Good afternoon, Rarity. Anything you need?" I asked smiling. I knew Spike probably said something about Twilight and me to her.
"Is Twilight in, dear?" she asked. I mentally sighed predicting that she would lash out some words.
"Nope...she is probably out running errands or so. She didn't tell me where she was going though."I replied preparing for a string of hurtful words from Rarity.
"Then, I will just address this to you..."Rarity began calmly as she walked past me. I shut the door and instantly she began,"Have you done something to our Twilight!?" she yelled at me.
I began to grow a little fearful of Rarity being this way,"N-no...why would I do such a thing to her?" I said slowly, losing my cool as she shot daggers to me while I spoke. I couldn't even think of myself hurting her.
"I just found out that you and dear Twilight are in a relationship,"she said calmly," This is completely unlike her. I demand you tell me what you did to her this instant!" Rarity demanded.
"I didn't to a thing to her to make her be in a relationship with me. I swear to god, I didn't!" I said loud, but not in a stressed yelling voice. I wished Twilight was here.
"I know you must of done something to her. So, tell me before I do something unladylike!" Rarity threatened as she took an offensive posture and her horn started to glow blue.
"R-Rarity...please calm down. I didn't do a goddamn thing to Twilight, besides I love her and would never hurt her...Please, just put away that magic...." I begged, fearing for my life.
"Zach...you..." I heard a very familiar voice from the door followed by a sigh,"Rarity stop your magic. Don't hurt him."
I turned and saw Twilight standing there blushing with her saddlebags on. I, again, saw what I said and blushed. I smiled a nervous smile at her.
"Twilight, snap out of it. He has you in some kind of spell or brainwashed. You can't possibly like him. He's not even a pony. He is just dirty monstrous human!" Rarity said as she looked at Twilight concerned. Her horn still glowed.
I felt offended and angered at Rarity. I knew that I couldn't take my anger out on Rarity. She is Twilight's friend. My teeth were grinding and my hands were clenched tight into fists. I felt like punching that annoying unicorn deep into a month coma. I pulled back my fist about to rush forward and sock her upside the face. Before I ran I thought of what I was about to do. I dropped my arm still having my hand clenched in frustration and anger. I ran over to the door and out of it, bending down so I could pass through. I needed to relax and take a calming walk. Before I left entirely I heard Twilight scold Rarity.
"He doesn't have me under any spell and he didn't brainwash me, Rarity. He just loves me and I love him...You should think about what you almost did..." Twilight said as she left her friend in the library. Rarity put down her magic and slumped her head realizing she had judged too fast.
I was ran right out of town and through Sweet Apple Acres. I heard some hooves behind me as I ran into the forest next to the apple farm. They stopped after a moment of me entering it. I still kept running for a good while before I began to walk.
I enjoyed the dense forest. It reminded me of the times I explored the woods when I was young. The tree canopy was making it quite dark even if it was in the middle of the day. My mind began to drift to Twilight...then what Rarity had pulled on me.
"When I get back...hooo boy...it's gonna be awkward."I said aloud as I kept going deeper into the woods. I noticed no life forms in the forest. It suddenly hit me where I was. I was in the middle of the damned Everfree Forest. I mentally cursed my mind, knowing that my want to get some time to myself for the moment wound me up in here.
"What the hell to do now..." I said trying to formulate a plan while I stopped. I heard a crunch of something taking a step behind me. I whipped around and saw a lone timberwolf right there. He had been stalking me this whole time.
The timberwolf looked like it was about to pounce. As it did, I barely ducked. Its claws grazed my head making a series of small cuts that bleed at a steady rate. I stood fast and ran with adrenaline pumping through my body. My head hurt so bad right now, but I didn't care. All I cared about was getting the hell out of here alive. I looked behind me, the timberwolf was slowly gaining. This might be the end for me. I came to a steep hill and still looking back at the timberwolf being cautious, I failed to see the steep hill. I rolled down it while I hugged my head and torso by bringing in my arms and legs as tight as I could. My head hurt worse now but nothing else did. The timberwolf had stopped at the top of the cliff then continued seeing as I was still alive and running. I kept running and running, blood trailed the ground from my head. I heard the pant of the timberwolf behind me. 'Oh, dear god. If I make it out of this alive I will try harder to not sin' I quickly thought. I checked back fast. The timberwolf was almost on me. It jumped through the air but something had blasted it apart. I looked to where the explosion most likely came from. Standing, there was Applejack and Twilight. It was obvious who shot the blast.
"Oh thank the heavens, you guys came." I said relieved.
"Now, why in tarnation would you head towards the Everfree Forest when I was callin' out ta' ya?!"Applejack asked yelling.
Twilight was about to say something, but I intervened,"I was just too busy focusing on getting away to think....I needed some time to myself..."I responded. Applejack's expressions changed to one of confusion.
"So, you came out here for some time to think?"Applejack asked confused.
"I usually take a walk with nature and reflect on some things. I figure out what to do next when I am calm. I really didn't mean to come into the Everfree...I wasn't paying attention to where I was going and I ended up in here while I was thinking deeply. It is beautiful out here in a way." I responded,"But not as beautiful as somepony special I know."I flirted and glanced at Twilight and winked. She tried to pull a Fluttershy and hide behind her mane. Her head just ended up slumped low to the ground as a wild blush was on her face. I was just smiling at my beloved.
Applejack looked at Twilight once I made the motion,"Ah, I git it now. You two are in a relationship. Still, ya had no reason ta go into the Everfree."she said.
"Just ask Rarity once we meet up back at the library...oh and we should probably get the hell out of her before more timberwolves come."I said and turned around. There was a spot of deep red in my once brown shiny hair.I small streak went down in it and a spot was on the back of my shirt.
"Yea, we should get going back to Ponyville. You okay, Zach?" Twilight asked concerned.
We all started to walk fast out of the forest. Blood now slowly came from my head,"I'm fine just feeling some throbs of pain in the old noodle." I responded.
After what seemed forever we walked out of the forest without another word. We had arrived back at Twilight's. She was greeted by an apologetic unicorn.
"I'm so sorry, Twilight. I guess I didn't want to believe it, but it must be true. You are still with him right?" Rarity asked and saw me behind Twilight in an expression of some kind of constant pain. Spike was seen at the couch with a mischievous smile. She moved out of the way and walked beside Twilight as we entered she then saw AJ and said "Hi", she had gotten the same response from Applejack.
Once we were inside I took off my shirt not caring if the mares saw my bare chest. I was averagely built with barely any muscle obviously showing. All my muscle was in my legs and feet. I laid the shirt on the floor in front of me. Rarity and Spike saw the small blood spot on it. They both gasped.
"What happened to you?" Spike asked and the smile was gone.
I opened my mouth to speak, but the words that came weren't mine,"Timberwolf."Twilight answered for me.
"It seems us interrupting each other is becoming common..."I waved my hand between us,"Is there an invisible wire connecting our two brains or something?"I sarcastically asked and chuckled a bit. The others laughed not as much as me since they were worried about my injury. My head still throbbed in pain. I got up and headed to the bathroom realizing I had to dress the wound. I started to wash the blood out of my hair and clean the wound with it.
"Motherfucker! That stings like hell!" I shouted and Twilight came running to the bathroom. She saw me washing my hair and the wound.
"That must take a lot of restraint to not stop.." Twilight admired in a situation like this.
"You're damn right it does!" I finished cleaning the wound and wrapped a small hand towel over my head very tightly. It hurt a lot but it would allow the blood to stop pouring and seal up the wound more effectively. I walked back into the room with a hand on Twilight's back. I felt light headed.
"Are you alright, Darling?" Rarity asked me concerned which shocked me.
"Why would you care? You insisted that I did something to Twilight to make her like me..." I said with some anger and a tiny bit of hate in my tone.
"Because, I've seen my error. Now, are you okay?" Rarity asked again.
"Just...Peachy..." Twilight had walked over to the couch with my hand still on her back. I was wobbly and couldn't keep my coordination. I sat down falling into the couch cushion.
"You don't look that good, Zach. You should go to sleep." Twilight said concerned.
"I know...But, if I remember correctly, if I fall...asleep with anemia I have a chance of...dieing from lowered brain and heart activity." I said with a little trouble as I waved side by side.
"Well, we surely don't want you dead all over this." Spike said as he looked up at my with fear.
"Could one of you...get me a mixed green leafy vegetable salad...and some milk...."I asked and SPike jumped up from the couch and walked into the kitchen.
"How could that help?" Twilight asked not knowing my logic.
"If I recall...they help me produce...more red blood cells...so I can be stable again...Anemia is the loss of too much blood cells." I said feeling slightly better at the moment.
"Your medical knowledge must be far superior to ours." Twilight stated.
"It is...wish I had a textbook to show you that..."I said.
"Sorry for going off on you, dear." Rarity apologized,"I just care for my friends a lot."
"I can't blame you for being protective of them...I cared for mine a lot. Especially Mark."I said and Spike came back in and handed me a tall glass of milk and a big bowl of the vegetables I asked for,"Thanks, Spike."
"No prob." Spike said as he sat down next to me. I started to eat and finished fast wanting to get back to health fast. I then chugged down the milk as fast as my throat would allow.
"I thought you were a gentleman?" Rarity said quizzically to make it a question.
"I am...but come on I am faced..with death here." I responded feeling some energy from the vitamin and mineral rich food.
"Why don't you head upstairs and rest?" Twilight said.
"Good idea." I stood waving a bit as I walked to the staircase. I stumbled and landed on my knees and hands,"Guess I am not all that good..." I said as I tried to get on my feet and just fell back to my hands and knees.
"Here, Zach. Let me help." Rarity offered trying to get back on my good side. She was next to me,"Just lean on me."
Twilight opened her mouth about to speak out in jealous. She then saw she was trying to make up and be friends again with me.
"Thanks..." I placed a hand on her back then pushed down on her back as well as the floor with my legs. She went down under from my weight as I stood and replaced my hand on her shoulder in case I fell. I walked slowly to the stair case and held onto Rarity tightly as it had no rail. I made it upstairs to Twilight's bedroom.
"Get some rest, deary. Don't fall asleep though." Rarity said as she left.
"Thanks a bunch..." I closed the door and walked slowly to the bed where I then laid down. I felt better as I laid there not moving. I could hear Twilight speaking.
"You better not be crushing on him, Rarity..."she said with a furious tone.
"I wouldn't dream of it. Even if he is a gentleman, I would never steal my friend's coltfriend." Rarity said sounding honest.
"Actually, Rarity. It would be boyfriend according to his planet." Twilight corrected being the intelligent individual like me.
"Well, we better tell the others sometime soon about what you and him mean." Rarity said.
"Yes, but tomorrow...I'm quite tired..."
"See you tomorrow then, Twilight. And Spike?" Rarity called.
"Yes, Rarity?" Spike said dreamily, he obviously liked the mare from what I heard.
"Don't tell anyone about these two lovebirds~" Rarity teased as she left.
I heard Twilight coming up and she opened the door. I already had the towel off and laid it on the night stand. A scab had already formed over the claw marks. I scooted over allowing Twilight in.
"That was weird..." she said.
"More like awkward..." I chimed in then wrapped my arm around Twilight pulling her close. I could fall asleep knowing I must have gotten blood cells back by now. I blushed a bit while I saw Twilight blush wildy. We never fell asleep like this before. I decided to meet the expectations of the others once they found out. I gave her a quick peck on the lips and blushed deeply. Twilight smiled with a shocked expression while a darker blush then I had ever seen was very visible under her coat. That was the first time I had ever kissed Twilight on the lips. It didn't feel weird at all. I had my eyes closed while I thought this. I slowly drifted asleep.
Author's Note
This should be another d'awwww moment. I believe I did outstanding on constructing this chapter. That is my opinion though so it means nothing but crap if I say it.
I was still asleep until Twilight had woken me up.
"Zach..." she softly said which got my mind awake.
"Wake up, Zach." she said louder and I stirred a bit, groaning and stretching.
"Why did you wake me?" I asked her.
"Because you literally slept half the day away. It's two in the afternoon." I heard Spike say at the door.
I opened my eyes and looked out the window. It was bright and sunny out. "Guess I was really tired." I said and sat up tossing my legs over the bed and onto the floor. Twilight was already out of the way and I stood, stretching once more.
"Rarity, Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, and Rainbow Dash are all downstairs waiting for us." Twilight said.
"Dammit! I need to get a bath fast then." I said as I grabbed a decent set of clothes from next to the wall and ran out into the hall. I still had my socks on which made the wood floor slippery to my feet. I slid and placed my hand onto the wall as I ran out of the room. I sprinted down the hall making loud clapping noises with my feet as I did. I stopped myself by grabbing onto the bathroom's doorway before I slid again. I shut the door. Once I got in, I immediately turned on the water then locked the door. I undressed and waited for the bath water to fill since they didn't have any showers, or at least Twilight didn't. I got in once it reached room temperature. I started to scrub myself furiously.
After I cleaned myself, I quickly dried off and donned my clothes. I stopped in front of the mirror to make my wet mop I call hair. Once I was finished I walked down the hallway and to the living room. I was greeted by some questioning faces of all of Twilight's friends.
"I am dieing to know! What is so big that you guys had to get us all here!?" Pinkie said with an emotioned face full of irritation from not knowing yet.
"Yes, Darlings. Please tell us what is so important." Rarity said with a smile as she already knew it.
I sighed then walked over to the couch and stood in front of them all. I then turned to Twilight,"You want to start?" I asked her.
"No...I would rather you." Twilight said with a blush that wasn't visible to any of them but me. I was standing closest to her.
I sighed once more,"How do I begin..."
"Just git to the part where ya tell all of us!" Applejack said impatiently.
"Fine then...." I cleared my throat,"As you all know, I have been with Twilight for quite a while on Earth and in Equestria. But,
"Hurry up and tell them already!" I heard spike say from the next library room over.
"Twilight and me," I felt a harsh blush over my face and I glanced to Twilight. She had a blush as well,"are a package, so to speak."
"What are ya'll gittin at?" Applejack asked.
"I-I think he means they have been d-dating, Applejack....Am I right, Zach?" Fluttershy asked me turning to me hiding behind her mane.
"Nailed it..." I said with a crimson shade of red over my blazing cheeks. Twilight's face had a very noticeable blush under her lavender soft coat.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, hold it there for a second." Rainbow Dash said,"So, you, like an egghead?!" she asked surprised.
"As awesome as I am to you, Dash. Yes, and I don't like her, I love her. Plus, I've got an equal mind compared to her." I said.
Dash just had her mouth open like she had seen the Wonderbolts pull off her signature trick move.
Pinkie was just bouncing all over the room too excited to say a thing.
Fluttershy stayed quiet for the rest of it since she was the one who said it bluntly.
"Well, I'll be!" Applejack started," I thought you would never get a coltfriend, Twi" Applejack said punching Twilight softly in the arm.
Twilight was still madly blushing like me,"A-Actually, Applejack. It would be called boyfriend, according to Earth's language." She always had to be the studious intelligent pony at even the most awkward situations.
"Well, I for one, am very happy for you, Twilight." Rarity said pretending not to know,"How is your head, Zach?"
"Doesn't hurt unless something touches it and a scab formed so I'll be alright." I responded.
"Your head is hurt?" Rainbow asked.
"Yea, accidentally went into the Everfree Forest yesterday...Timberwolf almost got me." I responded the blush finally gone from my face.
"Oh my." Fluttershy responded.
"Let us take a look at it" Applejack asked.
I leaned my head over and everypony looked at the big claw marks except Twilight and Rarity,"Took forever for it to stop bleeding."
"You're lucky you came out, okay" Rainbow said.
"Well, if it wasn't for Applejack telling Twilight where I was. I would have been much worse." I said and Twilight blushed remembering she saved me.
"Girls, could we be alone now?" Twilight asked her friends.
"Why of course, Darlings." Rarity said as she stood,"Come on, we should give them some privacy."
They all left saying goodbye while Pinkie just bounced out and bounced higher once she was outside.
"I've been meaning to ask you, Twilight." I said as I stood,"Why did you leave without telling me?"
"Oh, I completely forgot." Twilight then had her horn glowing as well as her saddlebags. A scrap metal came out along with other materials.
"Why did you get those?"
"I saw your plans from the door and it would have taken forever for you to get the materials. So, I picked them up for you." Twilight answered.
I smiled and softly hugged her. She wrapped her hooves around me in response,"Thanks, Twi. Now I can finally get to building the hardware."
"It's nothing. I sort of did it for myself as well." She responded.
"Now I just need to find a welder and a...blacksmith." I had to remember their level of technology. I released her from the hug.
"There are some in Canterlot, but not here." Twilight said always offering information.
"Then I guess we go on a train someday soon."
The rest of the day went just fine. I was flirtatious with Twilight and she was back, when Spike wasn't around. I even gotten another kiss from her luscious lips. She was the one who initiated the lip lock, which surprised me at first. Things got to get just plain out freaky somewhere around seven in the afternoon once we had dinner.
I heard of voice,"Wake up, Zach..." It was deep and sounded like it was full of power.
"What the hell...did you hear that, Twilight, Spike?" I asked since all three of us were organizing the books.
"Hear what?" Twilight answered my question with a question.
"You have a destiny to face and no one escapes fate..." the same voice boomed again.
"There it was again..."
"Dude, you are going insane." Spike said putting up books on the low shelves.
"I swear I am not. Something is going on..." I said.
"Let me see if it really is anything..." Twilight said concerned as she came over to me her horn glowing. She stood up on her hind legs and put her fore hooves on my chest to balance herself. She hit my head with her horn lightly. I felt my mind being invaded by hers.
"You are the one who has my power, you shall see soon enough..." the same voice said loudly. Twilight jumped back her horn stopped glowing and she landed on her haunches. Spike was just laughing.
"See, you did hear it didn't you..." I said.
"Who is that?" Twilight asked trying to grip her sanity.
"I have no idea..." I answered and Spike just ignored us and put the last of the books up.
All three of us went into the bedroom. Spike just laid down in the basket and snoozed off right away. I climbed in bed after Twilight did. I held her in my arms and gave a fake smile. I was very concerned with whoever was in my mind. Twilight drifted to sleep after slowly closing her eyes and we shared a kiss before she did so. I pulled her up under my chest and fell asleep on my own.

Can anyone see where this voice came from? Maybe it has to do with something about Zach's great skills and knowledge as a bladesman even though he had only picked up a sword a year ago and already has the skill of training for two lifetimes. As always, please rate this chapter upon quality.
Chapter 7:Evil Abound
Two days had gone by after we told the other girls about Twilight and me being in a relationship. I had finished the finalization of the spark plug plan. I would have something that operated like a giant battery to store the electricity and when I needed to deploy it, I would simply hook up a cord to it and the electricity would zoom through. We were walking the streets of Canterlot, having ponies stare at us while we walked down.
"This is so unnerving." I said to Twilight without moving my lips except for cracking them open to let the sound out.
"Just stay calm we are almost to the blacksmith's shop." Twilight said.
Once we arrived the two customers that were in ignored us, I figured they didn't want trouble. We walked up to the counter past all the shelves of metal work and I pulled the diagram of the storing canister out of my pocket.
"We have a special order to place." Twilight said smiling cheerfully.
The blacksmith looked at the diagram and shook his head before taking it and setting it under the counter,"Come back in two weeks and this should be made with this substance in it. Don't know why you would want such an odd thing, it should be two hundred bits to make something this big." he said eyeing me suspiciously.
"We need it in order to operate some things and we will have the money.." I said not giving any information except for some brief explanation of why.
"Anyways, bye." Twilight said and I just waved to the pony who said bye to Twilight, but gave me no farewell.
"So, after the blacksmith finishes, we find a welder?" Twilight questioned once we left the shop.
"Yep. While we're here, why don't we pay the princesses a visit?"
"I thought you would never ask!" Twilight said happily as she started towards the castle with me behind her.
The guards at the gate nodded to her with a small smile before returning to their statue appearance. They allowed me to go in after her. We came upon the huge double doors to the throne room, the guards pushed them open and nodded to Twilight, but I wasn't allowed such friendly privilege.
" Twilight Sparkle, my faithful student!" I heard Princes Celestia say a little loud from the throne. I looked and saw a dark blue coated alicorn with a midnight colored mane that flowed with magic just like celestia's did. I assumed it was Luna.
Twilight walked ahead of me toward the sun goddess. She bowed and I just leaned over my upper body giving a half bow.
"It's so good to see you, Princesses." Twilight said as she stop bowing and smiled. I had a curved edges at the ends of my lips symbolizing a smile might come soon.
"Good evening, Princess Celestia. I take it that this is Princess Luna." I said calmly.
"And good evening to you to, Zach. Yes, she is my sister." Celestia responded. I gave a full bow to Luna then held out my hand to her.
She slowly took it and we shook,"Is this the bipedal creature of which you spoke of, sister?" Luna looked to her twin.
"Yep, I'm Zach Butchfield...the one and only." I let out a small laugh as I bowed my torso and put my left arm back straight with my right arm over my chest. I heard the others draw a giggle.
"You don't mind if I ask you some things about yourself, do you?"
"Not at all..shoot." I said smiling.
"Why exactly do you like Twilight Sparkle?" Luna asked with a pure curious emotion all over her face.
"Didn't expect this one...I don't like Twi-" I said, but Luna interrupted.
"But, Celestia told me different."
"I love her...She has an equal mind and can keep a pretty good conversation with me, no other girls could. She's beautiful, nice, and knows how to have fun like I do...and we can be kinda flirtatious around each other..." I said the last part with a blush and I knew Twilight must have been blushing as well.
"Okay...but, what if you would never meet Twilight?" Luna asked.
"Didn't see that coming...." I said and my blush faded fast,"Well, I might not have been able to find a girl for me on Earth and probably would have been drawn out from other people and become lonely and very independent." I responded, but then smiled to Twilight,"But, boy am I happy I met Twilight." I said.
"Interesting...." Luna said.
"Why did you ask?" Twilight spoke this time.
"I've been curious to see if there was magic in love just like there is in friendship. And if so, how it would work." Princess Luna responded.
"Anyways, what brings you two here?" Celestia asked.
"Well, we were in Canterlot..." Twilight started.
"And we decided to stop in and say hi." I finished smiling.
"Oh so this is a casual visit?" Celestia asked questioning since Twilight hasn't visited her much since I was here.
"Yep, and I have a question of mine own to ask." I responded.
"What is it, Zach?" Celestia asked.
"I have been hearing this deep voice in my head and Twilight can confirm that I'm am still very sane."
"Very interesting...." Luna said with a look of curiosity.
"Can you tell us more?" Celestia asked also intrigued.
"I feel like I know whatever it is very well and on the way here it said,"Corruption strikes at the day of passion", then it just left..." I said and both the princesses were confused.
"Why didn't you tell me!?" Twilight scowled.
"Because, I didn't want to see you worry. This is my problem and I won't drag you into it." I responded knowing she would always worry about me.
"But, we are a couple and we shouldn't stand alone, right?" Twilight asked. She had been reading books upon the subject.
"I...er...uh..." Luna had stopped thinking and was interested in our side conversation,"you know me seeing you worry makes me worry for you, Twi." I had crouched and looked her into the eyes deeply, smiling.
"Yes, but that isn't the point. We should always rely on each other." Twilight said.
"You're right..." I gave in knowing that she was correct, we shared a hug and turned back to the princesses.
"We'll...let you know if we come up with any reason..." Luna said, having seen our love first hand.
"I guess we take out leave then..." Twilight assumed and started walking back out.
"See you ladies later, and have a good rest of the day." I said with a small bow and followed Twilight.
"Goodbye, Zach." Celestia said with a smile.
Twilight and I kept a normal conversation with each other as we made our way to the welder she had pointed out. We entered and the store had been empty, a pegasus shot up from behind the counter.
"Welcome! What can I do for you two today?" he asked happily.
"Well, we need to have a special order welded once it is done being made by this blacksmith..." I handed him an address of the blacksmith we went to,"the connected areas must be welded very well and the side connecting pieces must also be attached by welding." I also handed him the other diagram of the canister.
"Very well, would you like to pay me in advance?" he asked with a smile. Anypony could see his welding wasn't needed that much.
"Of course, how much?" Twilight responded, she had read my mind.
"Considering all this fine tuning I will have to be very precise. Let's say.... one hundred twenty bits." he said.
"How about we say ninety bits?" I questioned.
"Nope, take it or leave it." he said in the nicest way possible.
"Or how about one hundred five?" Twilight butted in on the bartering.
"Fair enough..." the welder agreed. Twilight floated a bag of bits to the shopkeeper and he stored them under the counter.
"Good, we'll call you when it is ready, so you can head on down to the blacksmith." I said.
"Okay, have a nice evening." the welder said with a smile as he returned to whatever he was doing under the counter.
"Bye" Twilight said as we left. We headed to the train station which was close. We planned this out well, we would have thirty minutes left till the train would arrive. I planned myself to spend twenty minutes with the princesses. The clock said five minutes before the next train. It arrived early and stayed longer by a minute or two and we were first to board. Twilight sat down close to me and next to the window. I leaned back against the seat and looked to the roof. The train started to move.
"Hey, you okay, Zach? You are very quiet." Twilight sounded concerned as she looked towards me.
I looked to her,"It's just that this voice bothers me with what it said on the way to the princesses. It did speak when we entered the throne room."
"Don't think about it too much...okay?" Twilight said concerned.
We were halfway to Ponyville now,"Alright. Thanks, Twilight. You always know what to say." I pecked her on the lips to which she blushed a bit. The rest of the ride there was silent between us.
Twilight and I had the next two years ahead of us peacefully. I didn't hear that voice in my head anymore. Life could never be better. Well...it could be. On those days...

Chapter 8: Keeping a Secret
On that day, I had to make up an excuse to be gone from the library for a few hours.
"I'll be back late Twilight, I have a lot of errands to run." I said, trying to fool her.
"Oh, let me come with you!" Twilight said, looking up from her book. She wanted to go everywhere with me.
"It's a little too personal for you to come, Twi. Sorry." I said as I picked up my grey cloth bag. I had it empty today for a good reason. I put on my sneakers.
"Nonsense, nothing is too personal between us." Twilight said and stood walking to me over by the door.
I put my hand on the knob and turned,"Twilight, you can't come with me this time. I really mean it."
"But...but-" Twilight started. I had cut her off.
"Why don't you go upstairs and get on the xbox while I'm gone?" I said with a smile. We finally got electricity to run using the giant battery like canister plan.
"Okay..." Twilight gave in and started to go up the stairs. She had that depressing smile going on. It usually gets to me and caves me in.
"Twi, there are some things that a man has to do alone. But, I'll be back as soon as I can." I said, trying to reassure her. I exited the library. I always wanted to use that line.
It was 3:45 PM when I left. I immediately ran to Rarity's. I would bet it took me five minutes to get over there. I knocked on her door before I heard her call.
"Cooooome in!" Rarity called to me.
I opened the door and Rarity turned to me instantly.
"What brings you here, Zach?" she asked me.
"I just had a question. Where would I find a good jewelry store?" I inquired.
"In Canterlot, Bold Baubles. Why?" Rarity asked and turned back to a dress she was designing.
"Uh...no reason. Anyways, thanks. Bye." I slipped out the door fast before she could start the guessing game.
I paid for a ticket to Canterlot and went to the benches. The next train was due in twenty minutes. I realized I screwed up big.
"Damn...I don't even know where that store is..." I whispered to myself. I waited quietly until the train arrived. Nopony looked at me odd. I had been here for roughly two years. Everypony knew me and was completely comfortable around me once they knew I am courting Twilight. The moment the train arrived I handed in my ticket and boarded.
Once I arrived in Canterlot I asked a kind looking pegasus who pointed me down the street and to the right. I continued down the street and saw a big golden hued sign that stated Bold Baubles. There were many jeweled shining objects of gold and silver. I had four hundred bits from all the odd jobs that I took whenever back at Ponyville. I walked inside and saw three others that were browsing. One was a couple, I could tell from their actions any neanderthal could, the other was just a lone stallion probably here for the same reason as me. I started to browse on the left side of the store. I didn't see any store employee at the moment. All the jewelry behind its glass fortress walls were necklaces and bangles or anklets. They were separated by silver and gold, the latter being in front of me on the left side of the glass display case. The store was rectangular in shape. The main counter was connected to the wall opposite of the door. On the other two walls were the jewelry displays. It was, of course, small, but jewelry is small, so it wouldn't be like a walmart even if it was well known.
I started to think of what Twilight would like and what would look good on her. 'Something silver...perhaps with an amethyst...or something gold with a high styled diamond..', I thought while I had browsed. I heard the couple leave and someone else enter the store. I didn't look, I was deep in thought with the task at hand.
"Zach?" someone behind me called. I didn't hear due to the other voice in my head, my brain.
"Zach?" the mare behind me said and poked my back. I exited my thoughts and jumped. I spun around to see someone I really wished I didn't.
"R-rarity, what are you doing here?" I asked, panicking. I felt like jumping out the window and sprinting down the street.
"I should be asking you the same. You certainly aren't one for jewelry, so why are you here, Darling?" She asked.
"Uhhh...Well you see..I.." I must have looked pathetic trying to form a sentence. 'Kill me now', I thought.
"You don't mean...you're here for Twilight, do you?" Rarity asked. I sighed.
"Yes, I'm here for her." I gave in.
"How romantic! Sadly for you, Darling, I have no idea what Twilight likes in jewelry." Rarity said. The lone stallion was walking out of the store with a simple gold diamond necklace. He was staring at us oddly.
"I'm sure I'll find something she'll like." I said then walked over to the other side of the store.
I ignored Rarity as she talked about romance and the like. I browsed through the silver section of the long display case. Something very majestic stuck out to me. A silver bangle with decorative lines engraved like ocean waves and the Aurora Borealis. Two amethysts that were studded into a circle shape laid embedded on the sides of a six pointed star shaped diamond. The bangle looked to be three inches in width. I looked at the number below it, bangle forty-three. All jewelry here had a number, I guessed it was to make a purchase. Rarity had finally stopped her rambling as I walked up to the main counter. A red maned and tailed gold coated unicorn smiled at me.
"You must be Zach the human. I'm Gold For Cash. How may I help you?" she greeted me warmly.
"I would like to purchase bangle forty-three." I said with a smile.
The lock on the display case glowed a deep bronze color as well as her horn, a click noise followed and the glass slide door opened,"That'll be for hundred and thirty bits." Gold For Cash said as she levitated the exact bangle with its stand onto the counter.
"It seems I don't have enough." I said as I reached into my dull grey cloth bag and pulled out four packed bags of bits each having thread that said '1H' on it. I placed them on the counter and Gold For Cash's smile disappeared. She just opened her mouth.
"'No need to worry, dear. I'll cover the rest." Rarity interrupted her and took out thirty bits from her saddle bag with her magic and laid them next to the bags. I hadn't noticed her bag until now.
"Rarity, why would you spend your hard earned money on me?" I asked while Gold For Cash put the money and bangle stand behind the counter and gave me the piece of jewelry. I placed it into my bag along with the black felt box it came with.
"Anything for a friend and for romance." Rarity said, smiling.
"So he has a special somepony. She must be lucky." Gold For Cash said with a smile. I saw no reason to stay since I got what I needed. I had a tint of red over my cheeks. I walked to the door quickly.
"Have a nice day!" I heard her call after me with a chuckle.
Rarity walked after me and we made our way to the train station with a lot of chatting. Once we arrived the station clock said 7:01 PM. The train was there and about to leave. We handed in our tickets and boarded. Right before the train took off I heard something I haven't since I went to get the lightning battery made.
"Evil is almost upon you and this land, Zach." the deep voice boomed. I thought it was gone.
The train ride to Ponyville was quiet, most of the riders were sleepy or they were snoozing . The Ponyville station clock stated silently, 10:32 PM. Rarity went to the boutique fast, worried about it and her cat.
I ran to Fluttershy's before I went home. I knocked on the door in a rush.
"Hi, Zach." Fluttershy answered,"Why ar-"
"No time. Keep this hidden and don't let anypony see it." I said and pulled out the black box which secured the high priced bangle. I handed it to her,"Don't look inside it and don't lose it." I said then closed the cottage door and ran to the library.
Nopony was outside and the moon hung over head. I could hear the drowning timer from Sonic the Hedgehog(that belongs to SEGA ) play in my mind as I got close to the door. I opened it.
"Where the hay have you been!? It's almost eleven o'clock !" I was greeted by a furious Twilight. The timer stopped in my head and the words GAME OVER came to my thinking vessel.
"I said I was going to be home late..." I said apologetically.
"Your dinner is in the kitchen. I'll see you upstairs." Twilight said, holding back all of her anger. She walked upstairs and into our bedroom.
I went into the kitchen and ate the salad with a tall glass of water before I headed upstairs. I opened the door to the bedroom and took off my shoes then silently slipped under the blanket and into the bed. Moonlight poured into the room and revealed Twilight's face. I wrapped my arms around her and pulled her close, she was facing the same direction as me due to pulling her into my loving embrace.
"What were you even doing while you were gone?" Twilight asked me. I knew this was coming.
"Shopping..." I stuck to short answers.
"How could shopping take that long? What were you even shopping for?" I knew this was coming as well.
"I was shopping in Canterlot. For something special." I answered. Twilight turned her head to see me.
"What is it?" Twilight once again asked a question I knew was coming .
"I can't say. Now, shhh, go to sleep." I said and gave her a quick peck on the lips, closing my eyes.
"But-" Twilight was about to talk again.
"Can't hear you when I'm sleeping." I said with my eyes closed. I heard her grunt before snuggling into me with her heavenly soft coat.Twilight always loved the feel of my skin. Sadly for her, I was too tired to get comfy and take the time to remove my apparel. All I thought about last night was when to pop that question. When to do that...

This is where things start to boil into the good part. For those who got the password, you could start to paste things together. Just don't try to give a guess. This is where Zach having the sword skills of a dozen heroes and the voice in his head start to make a little sense.
Chapter 9:The Extremes: Part 1
I awoke to a crash from one of the library wings. My eyes shot open and I was greeted by a blinding orb of raging flames to wake me more. I groaned and sat upright. I really didn't feel like getting up from last night's run. I looked to the clock on my nightstand.
"11:21 AM..." I stated to no one in particular.
I then looked at the wall across from the bed. I stared at the calendar. It was the 3rd of March, a Saturday according to Earth time. I was halfway to my laying down, wanting sleep position when I remembered something. Today was my 21st birthday. I was so content and busy in Equestria I forgot my own birthday. I also forgot Twilight wasn't next to me.
I hopped out of bed and quickly got a change of clothes with a towel. I headed down the hall and into the bathroom. I swiftly undressed, bathed, and dried myself before dressing. I started downstairs and noticed all the blinds were closed and the room was pitch black. Once I stepped off the stairs I felt my way around the wall. I closed my fingers around the switch then flipped it on.
"Say Jeff,"
I slowly turned around. I knew that voice.
"What happens when a guy forgets his friends?" I heard Dean say as I finished turning around to see my three friends.
"They beat some sense into him." Jeff replied with a mischievous smile. The pair then looked to Mark. I was stunned to see them all.
"Makes sense..." Mark said then walked to me. He banged my head on the wall.
"What the hell?" I said as I came to my senses.
"Did you forget us?" Jeff asked me.
"Never!" I countered with a chuckle.
"Happy birthday, Zach!" I heard six voices come from a door to another library wing.
"So, do you like it?" I was greeted with a very excited Pinkie Pie, who wore a huge smile. She was right in my face, her nose pressed against mine.
"I love it, Pinkie." I answered ecstatically. I hugged her tightly and she responded the same.
"All this wasn't my idea. It was hers!" Pinkie said and pointed to the door. Celestia stood there.
"So, you did all this for me, Princess?" I asked while bowing for a brief moment.
"Yes, I did. My student told me how much your species 21st birthday means." Celestia said smiling at me then Twilight. Twilight had that tiny blush I knew all to well.
"Well, thanks. I don't plan to get drunk and I think Twilight wouldn't like it if I came home drunk." I said.
"Then why the hell did we go here!?" Jeff yelled and Fluttershy flinched at the sound.
"Wait...I have an idea." Dean said.
"Eh?" I responded with a lot of curiosity.
"Extremes..." Dean spoke softly.
"Hell yeah!" Jeff said with a boom.
"I'm game." Mark agreed.
I nodded in agreement.
"What are extremes?" Twilight asked, full of curiosity. That is the Twilight Sparkle I know.
"Let us show you instead of just telling you." I said.
"I'll start us off." Dean said.
"Why should you go first!?" Jeff argued.
"He did come up with the idea." Mark proved a point.
"I got it." Dean said then whispered in my ear as well as the others.
"Hell nah! I am NOT doing that!" I refused.
"You have to." Mark said and then left to go do what he needed.
"I'll go get those books taken care of." Jeff said.
"Oh great..." I really didn't want to do my extreme.
Jeff walked up to Celestia and whispered in her ear. She smiled before lighting her horn and teleporting all of us out of the library except Jeff and herself.
"What happened?! Where are we!?" Rarity panicked.
"The outskirts of Ponyville from the looks of it. But why did Princess Celestia teleport us out?" Twilight questioned aloud.
"We can't say. Zach, you better get started on your extreme." Dean responded.
"Ugh, must I?" I complained.
"Yes, you have to!" Dean boomed.
"What is your 'extreme' anyways?" Twilight asked.
"Can't say." I responded quickly and simply.
"Darling, we are all dying to know." Rarity said with eye flutter.
"It's...Twilight can tell you all about it," I sighed,"almost forgot." I remembered Fluttershy was carrying the bangle. I walked to her.
"What is it, Zach?" She asked me and the others were looking at us oddly.
"The box...do you have it with you?" I asked.
"Yes, right here." Fluttershy said and dug it out of her pink flowing mane and handed it to me with her wing. I quickly buried it into my pocket.
"Thanks, Fluttershy. I can count on you." I said with a hug. I turned back to the group.
"I have to get my extreme done. Soooo...bye." I said then sprinted back to the library. I opened the door and what I saw surprised me.
Books were all over the floor and Celestia was looking out the window while Jeff was rearranging books and hiding them.
"What the hell?" I asked with a dumbfounded look that I involuntarily had and knew it.
"Hey, Zach. Just doing some remodeling fo ya. The Princess is helping me." Jeff said while he ran around the library constantly.
"I have my fun once in a while as well. I need to relax after a week full of royal duties." Celestia said while still staring out the window.
"Well, I'll be back so I can get mine over with." Isaid.
"What is your extreme anyway?" Jeff asked.
"Twilight can tell you all about it..." I said as I headed up stairs, "when she gets here send her into the room and don't let anyone else in." I said.
"Aye Aye, Capn'." Jeff said with a ridiculous salute manuever that was for comedy rather than emphasis and returned to rearranging the books. I entered Twilight's and my bedroom. I saw Spike napping. I shook him a little with intense need to rush.
"Huh? What do you want, today is my day off?" He asked irritably.
"I need you to nap somewhere else. I have something important to do...alone." I replied.
"Fine..." He moved his basket out of the room.
I then went to work by moving everything not aesthetic and attractive to the eyes under the bed or behind a piece of furniture. I exited and put a note that read 'Do NOT Disturb' on the door in red letters before I walked down stairs.
"Hey, Zach. Where ya off to?" Jeff asked.
"To go get some roses and scented candles...for my extreme." I answered and he froze and looked at me. Celestia did the same. They both had the same look of shock.
"So...your extreme is to be in a very," she coughed for a moment," sexual pose that will affect my faithful student's emotions?" Celestia asked.
"Nailed it..." I said and ran out the door and through Ponyville.
I kept running until I reached the outskirts of town and started coming up to the exotic flower shop. I quickly entered.
A pony with a deep velvet mane and tail with a pure white coat rose from behind the counter. She was just a normal earth pony which was fitting.
"Hello, Zach. I haven't seen you ever come near my store. So, what's got you in a hurry and what can I do to help?" She asked with a smile.
"I...just need some...roses..." I said during my fit of panting.
" I am guessing they are for Twilight. How many, four, eight, a dozen, two dozen?" She asked.
"A dozen and a half." I said and she grabbed nine red and nine purple roses.
"Two hundred bits..." She said as she wrapped them in a bouquet.
"Here you are." I dug through my pocket and pulled out two bags(enchanting, eh?) that held the label '1H' on them," you don't have to give me the more rare purple roses." I said and she shook her head.
"Consider it a gift. That and a lot of ponies like the idea that Twilight is finally getting out and meeting some stallions." She said while I took them.
"Thanks, and while I'm at it, do you know any good candle shops, also could I borrow three vases?" I asked.
"Yes, I do. It is a little ways into town and the owner is Flicker Flame." She said and handed me the vases in a bag.
"Thanks!" I said as I started to run out the door.
"Come back soon!" She yelled after me.
I quickly ran back to the library without damaging the vases. I ran by Twilight and the others fast on the way back.
"Zach! Wait!" I heard Twilight shout behind me, I felt the need to go back, but knew she would like the surprise and decided to keep going on, speeding up.
I opened and slammed the library door.
"What's the rush, bud?" Jeff asked as he was about to leave the library. I saw Celestia sitting on the couch, reading a Daring Do book.
"Twilight and the others are almost here. Could you guys hold them off while I get some candles." I said and ran up the stairs.
"No problem." Jeff said and went to the window.
"Happy to help a friend." Celestia said joyfully while reading.
I ran into the bedroom and scattered rose petals over the floor and the bed as well as other flat surfaces. I placed petals in front of the door and then put the purple roses in the vases. I placed one vase on the floor next to the bed. The next I put on the nightstand, and the last I put in front of the door. I kept a single purple rose on me and sprinted down and out of the library.
I passed Twilight and the group, but Rainbow Dash was missing for some reason. I was tackled a moment later. I hid the rose inside my shirt.
"I got him!" Rainbow Dash said.
"Good job, Rainbow." Applejack praised as they ran up to me. I started struggling.
"Only natural." Rainbow boasted.
"Don't git a big head on your shoulders." Applejack responded.
"Let me go!" I yelled drawing attention back to me.
"Not until you tell us why you ran past us." Rarity said.
"Because..." I really didn't want to say a thing about it.
"Because why?" Rainbow demanded.
I sighed and gave in,"Because...only Twilight should see it and should experience it. It isn't appropriate to speak about it to you all. Now let me go so I can finish it." I said and Rainbow was nudged off of me by Twilight. I rolled, stood, and blasted off into a sprint down some Ponyville streets.
I saw a shop with candles in it and quickly ran through the door, thinking it was owned by Flicker Flame which it was when I looked at the sign. I surprised a customer and alerted the owner as I ran right up to the front counter.
"I need lavender scented candles that are short and tall normal candles, six each." I blurted out in one breath and Flicker Flame quickly got the candles and from the shelves using his magic to get it over to us. I noticed that the customer left when I ran in, he must of been one of the ponies that didn't like me being a human and all.
"Sixty bits..." He said still shocked from my ~~graceful~~ entrance. I handed him a bag of bit that was marked '50' with ten loose bits. I grabbed the candles that he put in a bag and sprinted out.
I was sweating hard as I entered the library. Twilight wasn't here yet and Jeff was staring out the window.
"Send Twilight up when she gets here, only her." I said to him running up the stairs.
"I feel her presence getting closer." Celestia said and finished reading.
I quickly put three scented candles on the floor, one on the nightstand, and one on the dresser. I placed four tall candles on the floor and one on the nightstand with its pal on the dresser.
I heard the library door open and then quickly undressed completely and put the clothes away[I'm quite a vivid writer, aren't I?]. I then got a red sheet and took off the 'Do Not Disturb' sign. I put the blinds down and lit all the candles. I then laid on the bed and covered my crotch with the sheet. I heard Twilight outside the door.
"Zach..." Twilight said as she opened the door and her jaw dropped when she saw me twiddling the single purple rose in my left hand.
"Hi...Twilight. Come over here and have a seat." I said smiling at her while she closed her jaws, shut the door, and walked over. She sat on the other side of me with small pupils.
"W-w-what are you...doing?" Twilight asked, her eyes darting over my body.
"My extreme. This is something humans rarely do with the person they love." I said and noticed crimson reds under her fur. I pulled her close to me, hugging her. She sniffed the air.
"I-is that l-lavender?" Twilight stuttered out. I had my leg over hers.
"Yep.." I said softly," Do you like it?"
"I-I-I really don't know what t-to say." Twilight responded.
"You don't have to say a thing." I whispered in her ear with a love-filled tone then tenderly kissed her passionately upon the lips.
She relaxed and closed her eyes melting into the kiss. I felt my heart swarming with love and felt hers doing the same. We held that kiss for a long moment that seemed to never end. I wished it didn't end, but all great things must come to an end. We parted and Twilight still held a small blush.and me the same as we had huge smiles on our faces and stared intently into each other's eyes.

"I love you, Twi." I said my voice filled with immense passion for her.
"I love you, too, Zachy." Twilight said with the same affection.
"Let's go downstairs..." I said and she nodded. I stood and let the sheet drop from my hips as I dressed in boxers, jeans, and a normal T-shirt. We both wore a small blush on our cheeks that accompanied a dopey smile.
I quickly retrieved the black box that held the bangle in it and put it in my back pocket, not letting Twilight se it. I blew out all the candles and left the room with my hand on Twilight's shoulder and her head leaning on my side. We still kept that position and smiles as we went downstairs and greeted the princesses with our friends.
"So...What was it!? What was it!?" Pinkie bounced up and down in front of us with a huge smile.
"Special...something very special..." Twilight said dreamily.
"Just look in the bedroom if you really want to know...just don't ask about it." I said and everypony rushed up the stairs followed by the princesses, which I noticed Luna had arrived to see what Celestia was up to. They all gasped, excluding the royalty, when one opened the door.

A/N: This takes place after Celestia says no to Zach's request to come to Equestria...This isn't the true ending remember that.

On with the story
The minute Celestia said no, my heart shattered. I felt a massive heart ache.I began to plead.
"Please let me go to Equestria. I must...."I felt tears well in up my eyes.
"You are not native to Equestria and therefore shall stay here." Princess Celestia said with a stern voice. I collapsed to me knees, tears falling as I hung my head in depression.
Twilight had tears freely flowing down my eyes as she came up to me,"Zach...we must part now. I don't want to, but I have to. Just never forget me...That's all I ask of you.."Twilight said softly sniffling.
I shot up and hugged her tight. I felt as that as long as I had a hold on her she would never leave me. She wrapped her hooves around me tight. Our tears were falling upon each others shoulders.
"Twilight, we must be going now. The elements are waiting."Celestia called.
"Okay..." she answered then put her hooves upon my face and pointed it to her,"I won't forget you, Zach. I know you won't forget me either. And for what it's worth, I l-love..."Twilight choked up as her tears fell a little faster and she had trouble breathing because of the sniffling. Instead she just leaned in and gave me a peck on my tear soaked cheek. She walked next to Celestia staring back at me.
"I'm sorry..."she apologized. Her horn glowed a bright gold and a portal formed below them. The two fell in.
I scrambled over, tears still streaming. I looked down the portal before it closed. At the end of the long, rainbow streaked, bright tunnel I saw Princess Celestia and Twilight with five other ponies. Twilight still had tears flowing down her face as she stared up at me through the portal. Five other ponies looked very concerned as they looked up at the portal and saw me crying. Just before the portal closed, three tears from me fell into it. One had made contact with the floor in front of Twilight. The other two had landed on Twilight, one in her mane and the other on her nose. The portal closed and that was the last time I saw Twilight, the only being keeping me from complete breakdown.
I stayed there curled up on the floor beating it with my fist shouting,"Damn, Damn, Damn! Why?! Why did she have to leave me?"while I sobbed.
I heard a neighbor in the apartment complex knock on my door and speak up in a guy voice,"Hey, you alright in there?You don't sound so goo-"I cut him off.
"Go away!"I shouted as I sobbed. I didn't hear any knocks after that.
I cried for a whole hour remembering all the fun times I had with Twilight. I stood and wiped away my tears.I went to the phone and dialed my work place.
"This is Cheesy Camp, delivery or pickup?" a familiar voice of one of my co-workers answered. I worked at a pizza place as a server for half of the small business.
"This is Zach Butchfield. Give me to our boss, Greg" I answered with a dead emotion and my voice filled with dread and despair.
"Zach, you don't sound too good.But, fine." Greg replied.
"What is your reason for calling, Zach?" my boss answered.
"Can I have sometime off for a month or two?" I asked with the same voice.
"For what?" he asked.
"I lost someone important to me and I need some time..." I answered.
"Understandable...You can take the month off. You deserve it anyway after working so hard the past few with all the overtime." my boss was always understanding. He did sound worried for me.
"Thank you..."I hung up then called Mark.
"What's up, dude?"he asked.
"She's gone..."I answered feeling tears start in the corner of my eyes.
"Who is?" Mark asked.
"Twilight...." I answered in the same manner of voice that I had been using.
"What do you mean?Did she die?Did she run away or get lost?Did she go back to Equestria?"Mark sounded extremely concerned.
"She went back to...Equestria....without me." I answered and the tears broke over and flowed down my face.
"Sorry, for the loss man.I know she meant a lot to you."Mark said.
"She meant more than a lot....She meant everything...." I said and Mark was dead quiet after a silence,"I loved her....I knew she loved me as well....but...why did she have to leave..."
"She was important to Equestria you know...so she had to."Mark answered.
"Bye, Mark..."I hung up before he finished saying goodbye.
I stood there for the next two hours slowly crying thinking of nothing, but Twilight. A knock on the door came.I walked over to it and opened it up. Standing in front of me was Mark, Jeff, and Dean. My tears had still kept falling.
"Mark...you were right...He took this horribly."Dean said as they all came in and I shut the door.
We all walked into the living room. Jeff was first to speak.
"Damn, man. What happened?" Jeff asked.
"And where's Twilight?" Dean asked.
Tears flew down my face in a higher quantity as I heard her name and remembered when she left.."You..d-didn't tell them...."I asked mark as I sniffled and choked on words.
"Nope..."Mark answered and then continued,"Guys, Twilight is gone....She went back to Equestria."
"Sorry for you loss, Zach." Dean said.
"Yea...it must of been hard saying goodbye." Jeff chimed in.
"How the hell would you know?!You didn't lose someone you loved like I loved Twilight..."I broke out to Jeff glaring at him while tears slowly ran down my cheeks.
"You have to get over it and move on, Zach. You can't stop now." Dean offered advice.
"To hell with you!You don't know how hard it is...and you still have your girlfriend..."I shouted at him.
"Calm down, man.We'll be going now." Mark said and stood.
"But we ne-" Jeff was cut off.
"Come on, guys." Mark said firmly. He always knew the best for me.
They didn't argue but just left. I locked the door after they left. I went to my bedroom and laid down.
Two weeks went by and all I would do is eat, drink, use the bathroom if needed, and sleep. I wouldn't do a damn thing but sleep as I cried slowly while I laid on my bed. I had run out of food and bills were due. I sent the check for the next payment and sealed it within envelopes before I headed outside and put it in the mailbox. I then went inside. I showered, dried, and changed into new clothes. I walked outside and got in my car. I drove to the nearest grocery store.
As I arrived I got out and retrieved a shopping cart inside the store. I grabbed the usual stuff.I went to go get Twilight's favorite human food, fries. I remembered how much she liked them whenever I would bake a batch.I stopped there and rested my head on the shopping cart handle. I let the tears form and fall from my face. I felt a hand on my back.
"Sir, is everything alright?" a store worker asked me.
"Just...peachy..." I said between sniffles.
"Sir....you should probably go check out your items and go home now..." he could see through the lie.
I lifted my head a bit to see where I was going. I went to get a bag of frozen fries, crinkle cut. I then checked out and paid using my food stamps. I loaded the food items into my car trunk and got in. I laid my head upon the steering wheel and cried my heart out once more.
"Twilight!Come back to me...please....just come back..."I shouted and my voice went down in lower tone as I continued mumbling.
After an hour of crying I drove home and brought my groceries inside my apartment and put them away. I only ate an apple then before returning to my room. I laid down on my bed staring at the ceiling. Tears slowly fell. I opened up my dresser that sat next to the bed. I pulled out a thick book and blew off a little dust that had been resting on it. I opened it up and there was photos of me and my family. I remembered the car accident and the funeral. I grieved for my parents then, but didn't cry. I kept flipping through and saw pictures of me with my friends, the good old days. I flipped through more and saw pictures of when me, my friends, my parents, and Twilight were outside. I saw a picture of me sitting on a tree branch above Jeff about to jump down on him. I smiled at it. I then came across a picture of me fighting my dad. I wished he was still here. I flipped the page and saw me fighting Twilight. I smiled at how much fun we were having that night. I skipped over a few pages and stopped as I came across a picture that was special to me...It was Twilight with me. I had an arm around her and she a hoof around me as my other arm was extended out holding the camera. We were both smiling and Twilight had a small blush visible through her soft coat. I touched the picture my finger laying on Twilight's cheek of the big picture.
"I love you too...Twilight...." I felt tears falling down my cheeks again and I put the photo album up,"I miss you so much."
I ate some fries that night with water and nothing else. I cried my self to sleep like the past two weeks.
While I slept I dreamed. I was on a tiny island alone, looking through my own eyes. I turned around and saw a purple unicorn that I knew was Twilight. I called out to her and she turned to me. We ran to each other and hugged tight crying like never before,"I missed you so much, Twilight..."I said in the dream. She said the same thing back. We stayed there, hugging each other tightly and crying tears of joy. The island suddenly split in two and drifted apart. Twilight was left on the other side. We reached out to each other, but we couldn't grab the other. We both started crying tears of sadness hard. The island she was on was far away and we were shouting to each other. Eventually she couldn't hear me and I couldn't hear her. We could only see each other as a spec waving to each other. After a while of still drifting the part of the island she was on disappeared and I was left alone.
I jolted awake and shouted,"Twilight!"I then looked over to my clock and saw it was 2:13PM. I got up and made a batch of fries and drank some water as I ate them. I walked over to the phone and picked it up. I dialed my work again.
"Cheesy Camp, delivery or pickup?"a different voice answered, probably a new employee.
"Let me speak with the boss. I am an employee." I said depressed. I heard no voice after.
"Hello?" I heard my boss's voice.
"It's me, Zach."
"Why did you call?I thought you would be to depressed to do anything."
"I called to tell you...I quit....bye..."I said with grief in my tone. I hung up and called Mark.
"Sorry, I can't come to the phone right now. Leave a message." a beep came after his voice mail.
"Goodbye, Mark. You were always such a good friend. See you when I see you..."I left the message and put the phone down.
I headed outside and dug a small hole. I then went back into my apartment and put the family sword handle into the hole. The blade stuck up and pointed to the sky. The hole was next to the apartment roof. I buried the handle in the hole.I then went inside and donned my armor. I wrote a note and clutched it in my hands. I ran up the stairs to the top of them and went outside the roof access. I stared over the edge at the Templar sword that pointed up to me.I then looked at the matching set of armor I was wearing. I waited and waited. I saw Mark's car drive up the apartment road and stopped in front of mine.
"I am coming home...Mom...Dad....see you soon..."I said quietly. I jumped off the roof and fell down to the earth. The sword pierced my armor. I knew it would. My heart was also pierced just as it was before when I lost Twilight. I clutched the note.
"ZACH!" Mark shouted as he ran to me seeing me impaled upon my family sword.
I smiled, looking to Mark who crouched to see my face. He looked very concerned and shocked at the fact that I was smiling.
"Why, Zach?Why did you do this to yourself?" he asked me and I still smiled.
"The note..." I said with pain and happiness in my voice.I slowly moved my arm and showed it to him,"read...it..."I continued and looked down to the ground,"I am coming to see you now....Dad...Mom....and especially you..Twilight." I let out my last breath as I died. I heard other footsteps coming this way.
The note stated I wanted a private funeral and to be buried wearing the armor and holding the sword over my chest. That I wanted each one of my friends to put something in. Mark put in the photo of Twilight I looked at the one night. Dean put in my laptop so I could have my thoughts and ideas wherever I went. Jeff put on top of the grave when I had been buried in the casket a story of my life that he nailed into the cross above the grave. They buried me under the tree in the house I grew up in with my mom and dad. It was where I first saw Twilight. They all said their goodbyes, but Mark stayed longer.
"I hope that you get to see your Mom...and your Dad and...the one who meant the most to you...Twilight..."Mark said as he cried he bowed his head and prayed silently before he opened my eyes and looked at my cross gravestone,"Have a good afterlife....Zach....I'll never forget you or Twilight..." He walked away with tears in his eyes that didn't fall. He said goodbye to the family that owned the house at that time and said to take care of me and my grave.
From the time I died I only got to say hello to my parents and reunite with their souls before something pulled me away. I couldn't see a thing in my afterlife....for a very long time...
--------------In Equestria------------
Twilight was in ruins after losing Zach. Her friends would try to cheer her up, but they did no good. Spike couldn't cheer her up either. Princess Celestia came by to try to cheer her up.
A knock came at the door and Twilight was on the couch crying, willing to do anything to see Zach,"Come in..." Twilight said in a dead tone.
The door opened and Princess Celestia walked in and stood in front of Twilight,"My faithful student, cheer up. It had to be done for Equestria. I know you miss him but you must continue." Celestia said.
"You don't need to try to cheer me up. You were the one who wouldn't let him into Equestria. You caused all this." Twilight said between sniffles.
"I'm sorry for that, Twilight Sparkle. I truly am, but he couldn't come here it would disrupt Equestria." Celestia stated facts.
"Just go, Princess....I want to be alone now...." Twilight said.
Princess Celestia obliged and left, going back to Canterlot. That night Twilight had a dream. It was the exact same as Zach's, but she was seeing through her own eyes and wasn't in her matured adult body, but rather her young one which she had when she saw Zach for the first time.
From the day Twilight was separated from Zach she stayed in her library everyday and sent spike to do all her errands. She didn't make schedules. She didn't study. She didn't even write letters to Princess Celestia. When her abilities were called upon she would go and do what is necessary, but she didn't do anything more. The other elements would come and visit her constantly only to be sent away by Twilight. Twilight was never the same before. She didn't want to live any more. She still did love the Princesses and her friends, but she was always depressed. She couldn't stop thinking about Zach. She stayed like that for the next 64 years. She was still in Ponyville Library. Spike had grown into a teenage dragon and left Twilight. He came back to visit ever one in a while. All the rest of Twilight's friends got old as did Twilight. Applejack was first to die. They held her funeral at Canterlot Castle in the graveyard there that was filled with tombs and graves that housed previous heroes of Equestria. Twilight was secretly waiting for herself or one of the others to die. Without Applejack the Elements of Harmony were useless. Twilight decided to put her plan into action.
She wrote her first letter ever since losing Zach to Princess Celestia. Before she teleported it with her magic she enchanted the library to explode in the next three minutes. She then sent the letter using her magic. She sent some notes to the others right before the three minutes were up. The notes said to go to the library. Before the library blasted apart in the explosion Twilight spoke.
"I'm finally coming to see you...Zach..." she said as the tree library exploded. Celestia arrived right before the explosions happened and the other elements a little later.
Twilight's funeral was almost the same as Applejack's. She was buried with her element and other things her friends put in that symbolized their precious moments they shared before Twilight went into depression.
She saw nothing for a little after she died.Twilight then saw she was on the tiny island from her dream.
My vision returned to me and I was on the mini island from my dream. Except I could hear the waves crashing and feel the ocean breeze on my face. I was wearing the family armor and held the family sword in my right hand as I looked out to the infinite ocean. I recalled what happened during the dream. I turned around and there was Twilight sure enough. I dropped the sword and it stuck into the sand. The sound got Twilight's attention. I unstrapped my armor, so I could actually hold her.
"Zach...is that really you?" Twilight said to me.
"It is....and I love you too...Twilight." I said finally able to say what I wanted when Twilight said the same to me a very long time ago. I let the gauntlets and boots fall off of me as well as the greaves. I also removed my helmet and unstrapped the belts in the back of the curassier once. I took it off while we were running to each other. Under the armor I wore the clothes I had on when I killed myself but they weren't bloody at all. We met in the middle of the island and hugged tears of joy coming down my face and hers.
"I missed you so much, Zach." Twilight said.
"Never leave me again, Twilight...." I said while I hugged her tight and held her close.
"I won't ever leave you alone." Twilight said to me.
For the first time in forever I was able to see Twilight and feel happiness and joy. This was just like the dream I had....Wait...just like the dre-. My thoughts were cut off as a huge crack was heard.
The island split in two and water filled the yard long gap. We both almost fell over into the gap. I reached out to her. She reached out to me.
"ZACH!" she shouted my name.
"TWILIGHT!" I shouted back.
My third finger was very close to her hoof as the island pieces kept drifting apart. I grazed her hoof feeling her soft coat for the final time.
"I don't want to lose you again..." I said crying tears of sadness. Twilight was also crying.
"I don't either..." Twilight responded.
Just like in the dream I had we were separated and shouted out to each other.
"I'll always remember you and the times we had together, Twilight!" I shouted tears running down my face.
"I'll never forget them or you, Zach!" she called out to me. Her island part was far on the horizon and disappeared.
I cried and cried and cried for two eternities. Death had cheated me. I never got to stay with Twilight. I never got to stay with my family. I never got to stay with my friends in this afterlife. This wasn't Heaven....This wasn't Hell.....This was torture. I'll always feel the pain in my heart and cry every time I see Twilight in my head. I didn't ever see anyone as I spent forever and more on this damned island piece. I know what Twilight wanted and the same for me.
"I want to be with her and have this pain be.....no more..." I said aloud to the skies as I lay on the sand with my armor and sword about it.
"Just....No......More..." I said again hoping someone would hear me. I had no such luck.
I cried forever after this torturous afterlife. Hearing Twilight's sweet voice in my head, seeing her beautiful face only to be dismissed as a hallucination, I am cursed forever more. Cursed with the knowledge that I'll never see her again. Cursed that I'll never tell and show her just how much I love her. Cursed on this godforsaken island to be forever alone. Cursed to be...a wandering soul, looking for any goddamn way out. Cursed forever and I will never be allowed to leave. The only wish I have...is to do every goddamn thing different, starting on that fateful day. But, I have no more chances. No more anything....

I started to choke up writing this.So very sad.I even cried while writing this.It's so damn sad.
This isn't the real ending. We still have a while to go to get there.
