While reading a book containing Starswirl the Bearded's time travel research, Twilight accidentally travels 20 years in the future. She arrives to find Equestria now a ruin ruled over by the Changelings. Her friends, torn apart by circumstance during the invasion, are now scattered across the wasteland. Celestia has been captured, and Luna leads the small resistance underground. Can Twilight reunite the Elements, defeat the Changelings, and return to the past? Or is all of Equestria doomed because of a simple mistake?
