Chapters -The Hour Before The Blast-
"Gentlemen, we're burning sunshine here!" Forge yelled to the Spartans. Forge then jumped up on the slip space drive prepping it to blow. The lieutenant walked over to the forerunner door to get it open. Standing not so far away was the Arbiter, cloaked, holding an energy sword. The lieutenant pressed the opening sign. The door activated.
"It's active," the lieutenant said.
"Sergeant," a spartan called over. Forge stopped what he was doing and looked over. Just as he did a platoon of blue colored elites started uncloaking them selves.
"Lieutenant!?" Forge yelled. As he did he turned around to see the lieutenant get thrown aside by the Arbiter. Forge, pissed as hell turned to the spartan next to him and said, "Take care of those elites!" Then turned back to the Arbiter and said, "he's mine." Then Forge slammed his foot down on the release making the two ton drive slide down the ramp an crush the Arbiter.
--Mean while--
Three Spartans pull out their weapons anticipating the fight with the elites.
"Let's go," the middle Spartan said. Then he dropped down on one knee and started firing his shotgun. Killing one elite. The other two Spartans ran at the elites and started firing S.M.G. rounds into the crowd. Killing more elites in the process. One elite made the mistake of trying to stab the Spartan. The Spartan took the blade and hit the elite's legs causing it to trip, while it was down the Spartan stabbed the elite and killed it. The Spartan to the right disarmed a elite before shooting it in the back of it's skull making the blood splatter on the floor. The Spartan then crouched and grabbed a blade before it hit his shoulder. The Spartan on the left noticed this and chopped the elite's blade in half. The Spartan in the middle then fired a shotgun round into the elites chest. The Spartans on the outside threw the blades that the elites dropped into the crowd, killing two more elites.
--Back to Forge--
Forge ran over to the door to see if he crushed the Arbiter. As Forge got there he saw no sign of the Arbiter being hurt. Somewhere behind him Forge heard foot steps. He turned just in time to duck an incoming energy sword that hit the side of the space drive. Forge then hit the Arbiter causing him to let go of the sword. Then he rolled to the right and started firing rounds into the Arbiter who pulled out yet another energy sword. The Arbiter swung again at Forge who ducked. Forge brought up his rifle only for it to get hit away in the Arbiter's back-swing. Forge then tackled the Arbiter to the floor then repeatedly punched him in the face.
After that he pulled out his pistol and shot half the clip into the Arbiter's hand making him let go of the energy sword. The Arbiter in rage mode grabbed Forge and threw him into the ground, then punched him in the gut, making Forge cry out in pain. The Arbiter stood up.
"Like the rest of your race, weak and undisciplined," the Arbiter said. Then he grabbed Forge and threw him into the side of the space drive.
--Back to the Spartans--
A Spartan and a elite started running at each other. The Spartan jumped over the elite firing rounds into the elite's neck and back. When he landed he grabbed the elite and spun around just as another elite tried to stab him. The elite the spartan had took the blow just as the one who did said stabbing was shot in the back by a shotgun. The shotgun Spartan then turned around only to be grabbed by an elite. The Spartan used his shoulder to knock off the elite then shot it.
--Back to forge--
Forge flew through the air as he was thrown again. The Arbiter walked over to the energy sword he dropped and said, "There will be no female to save you this time." The Arbiter turned on the sword and started walking back over to Forge.
"Look me in the eye and say that," said Forge as he sat up.
"As you wish," said the Arbiter as he picked up Forge bringing him eye level. Then he said, "My face will be the last things your pathetic eyes ever see." The Arbiter pulled up the energy sword to finish off Forge.
"AaaHhhh," Forge yelled as he pulled out a hidden blade and proceeded to stab the Arbiter in the neck. The surprised Arbiter dropped Forge and clutched the wound that was bleeding profusely. Forge bent over and picked up the dropped energy sword. Then he stabbed the Arbiter in the chest. The Arbiter fell to the ground and died just after Forge yelled, "And for the record, I would have kicked your ass the first time if the lady hadn't stopped me."
Minuets later they had the damaged slip space drive ready and had the body of the Arbiter pushed of the platform. Forge walked over to the Spartan who was taking damage control.
"Sir, it's already overheating," the Spartan said sounding a bit worried. "I'll have to separate the core and align them manually when they need to blow." Forge, after hearing this started making calculations in his head.
"Son, I've a feeling before this is over we'll need every last spartan in the fight." Forge said grabbing the Spartan shoulder then tapped it gently and said, "I can do this. Report back to the ship."
The Spartan just looked at Forge and nodded, "Good luck sir, it's been an honor." The Spartan then walked out of the room turned around an gave Forge one last nod of the head. Forge nodded back just as the door closed.
--30mins later--
"Forge the shield doors are open. Blow the core as we leave," Captain Cutter said over the comm line
"Ok, I'm blowing the core," Forge said back. Just before he blew it he heard a moan come from the other side of the core.
Surprised as he was he was even more surprised to find that it was the lieutenant.
"Lieutenant your Ali...I mean your alright," Forge mentally face palmed himself. He forgot all about the lieutenant during his fight with the Arbiter. Forge looked back at the lieutenant and said "what's your name, son."
"Lieutenant Sam Picker service number 7935-3845-AF Foxtrot Company 13 battalion of the UNSC," Sam said proudly.
"We'll not to worry you or any thing but, I'm about to blow the space drive," Forge said sadly. He looked around and saw a Bio-foam canister not to far away. The marine looked sad before saying "At least I go out with a bang." Then a loud bang came from the elevator door Which freaked both of the humans out.
"Human, you think you can kill me so easily? Mmmhahaha! I am the Arbiter. I will not be killed by the likes of you!" called a should be dead Arbiter.
--17min earlier--
The Arbiter felt weightless as he fell through the sky. So weightless that he almost felt happy, almost. He opened his eyes to see that he was bleeding profusely. Not only that but his swords were falling right beside him. He reached out for the one the the left because it was closer to him. His index finger slid on the handle causing it to spiral to him. He was pleased but remembered that he was still falling. He did a flip in midair and saw the ground approaching fast. To fast for his liking. He realized that he was going to die. So being the honorable type he closed his eyes and waited for a SPLAT. One minute later of not dieing he opened his eyes to find that a passing Vampire (It is an aircraft with a telekinetic ability.) has seen him and caught him five feet from the ground. The Arbiter made a mental note to give the pilot his gratitude. After a couple minutes of patch ups he asked to ride in the Vampire since the pilot had no co-pilot. After a minute of looking for his second blade only to find it twenty feet away. They got into the Vampire and flew back up to try and stop the human in time.
--Now--
Forge was trying hard to mentally block the rants coming from the Arbiter. Forge looked over at Sam who was trying to get a better angle on the door. Forge smiled at the lieutenant. "He got spirit I'll give him that," Forge said to him self.
"Lieutenant, I'm blowing the core now," Forge said so Sam will know. Sam only nodded his head, still aiming at the door.
Forge walked back over to the control panel ant started the process of blowing the core. Meanwhile Sam saw the door was giving way. He held on the gun as tightly as he could. The door was moving more vigorously. Sam was hoping the core would blow right now, but no dice. The door busted open but to his surprise only two elites came through. One tall and heavily armored
the other looked like a regular fighter pilot. Sam raised his gun but before he could fire a bright light went off... Then nothing...
Forge looked over at the door it looked like it was going to break any second. Forge only had one more wire to connect when the door broke down. Forge looked up to see a very pissed Arbiter and a fighter pilot. Forge looked back at the wire and quickly
put it into place. A bright light came from the core then nothing...
Forge opened his eyes, the only thing he saw was what looked like stars. Forge tried to turn his head but found he couldn't. He couldn't move any part of his body actually. This freaked Forge out a little. Forge felt this way for what felt like hours but was probably about ten minutes. Forge felt something tug at him. It felt like when you sit on your arm wrong. That tingling feeling
was all over Forge's body now and Forge was trying not to laugh his guts out. Forge just closed his eyes and hummed a little tune.
After awhile Forge felt like he was falling. Forge opened his eyes only to shut them again because of the sunlight. After the pain stopped he carefully opened his eyes. He was falling, falling slowly. He turned around to see the ground was two feet from his face. Forge was surprised that he hasn't hit the ground yet. Forge tried to put his hand on the ground, but when his hand made contact with the grass whatever was holding him up vanished and he face planted.
"Fuck," Forge said as his nose broke on impact. He sat up instantly and snapped his nose back in place with a loud pop.
Forge then took some grass and stuck it up his nostrils to stop the bleeding. After a minute of pain Forge got up and looked around. He seemed to be in a place much like Earth. The trees were luscious and green. The clouds were white and fluffy.
He could see a lake in the distance. It look clear as glass. Yep, this isn't Earth. Everything is TO perfect. To balanced. To peaceful.
"F-rge -allin- org-e this -s Sam. I r-peat for-e calling forg- " Sam called over the radio.
Forge pressed the radio on his chest, "Sam this is forge I hear you. I repeat I hear you."
"Ah ther- y-o are I just woke up after the explosion w-ere are we?" Sam asked.
"I don't know. Stay their I'll try to get to you," Forge said.
"Roger over and out," Sam said.
"Great now I have to the lieutenant," Forge said to himself, at least it can't get any worse."
--A mile or two away--
The Arbiter woke up in a state of shock not from the blast from the core but the fact that he wasn't dead. The Arbiter looked around and couldn't believe his eyes. A planet that wasn't under Covenant control or completely glassed over. This planets existence felt like filth on the bottom of his foot. "This planet needs to burn," The Arbiter said to himself.
It had been about five minutes before Forge relized that he forgot to ask Sam were he was. After a minute of face palming forge got back on his radio and asked Sam where he was.
"Sam this -s Forge. Where are you?" Forge called over the radio. Sam's hand immediately shot up to a button on the side of his visor. After a few tries the visor came to life and started scanning the area. A mini map popped up seconds later with a tactical view of his surroundings. That's when Sam realized he was in the biggest apple forest ever. The mini map also placed forge outside of the trees. About a mile east.
"I'm a mile west of your location, Forge," Sam said.
"In all those trees?" Forge asked.
"Yep, and you know the good thing about it? Free food." Sam said hungrily. Sam heard a bush behind him move and somthing run away. Sam immediately turned around gun raised. All he saw was a horse shaped cloud of dust before it blew away.
"That was weird," Sam said to himself.
-Ponyville-
It was a normal Tuesday in Ponyville and Twilight was getting ready to open up the library when she heard a know on the door.
"Twilight, open up!" called a very exited Rainbow Dash.
"Coming," Twilight called back. Twilight trotted over to the door and opened it but before she could say hello a rainbow hue blasted past her. Twilight turned around to see Rainbow Dash looking over the bookshelves for the new issue of Daring Doo.
"Um, Rainbow, the Daring Doo books are over there," Twilight said pointing her hoof. Rainbow Dash immediately flew over to the other side of the room looking up and down for the book. Twilight chuckled to herself as she used her magic to pull the book off the self and hand it it Rainbow Dash. Rainbow instantly flew over to Twilight and placed a couple bits into her hoof before flying off to her cloud.
Twilight smiled as she closed the door and walked back over to the kitchen to get a bite to eat. After about five minutes Spike came downstairs and fixed himself a cup of tea.
"Hi spike, your up early," Twilight said happily.
"Mfph," Spike mumbled.
"Oh, come on Spike, wake up ," Twilight said to make Spike fell better. Spike just nodded and sipped his tea. It was a slow day and nothing really happened till Applejack came knocking on the door. Twilight answered and nearly got here ears blown out by how high Applejack's voice was.
"OmgTwiligtahwasbuckingapplesandahsawthisthingwalkingaroundontwolegsand...and," Applejack was about to fate because she was so outta breath.
"Ok, calm down Applejack and tell me slowly," Twilight said calmly. Applejack took a deep breath and began again.
"Ah was buckin apples in the east orchard when ah saw this thing. It had armor on and was talkin to somthin that ah couldn't see. Then it started talkin about where it was and the thing ah couldn't see talked back. Ah was so scared ah ran all the way here," Applejack said As slow as possible for somepony who ran so far.
"I see," was all Twilight could say. She was trying to think of what it could be.
"Spike I'm going out," Twilight called upstairs. Then she turned to Applejack and said "Ok, Applejack, calm down and show me this thing."
-east orchard-
Back in the east orchard Sam was waiting patiently for Forge. He checked his mini map. Forge was still half a mile away. "Damn, what to do. What to do," Sam thought. Sam looked up at the apple tree he was standing under and grabbed a low hanging apple. It was bright red and very plump. The look of the apple made Sam's stomach growl. Sam took off his helmet and bit the apple. His eyes widened in surprise. It was the best thing he ever tasted. Sam was savoring the taste when he heard a twig snap. Sam dove behind the nearest tree. He sat there for a minute. Till he heard voices.
"It was right here, ah swear Twilight," someone said. Sam noticed that the one speaking had a southern accent.
"I believe you Applejack," said Twilight. "What type of names are these," Sam thought to himself. Sam realize that they were speaking English. Maybe I'm on a colony.
Twilight stepped into the little clearing where the thing stood. There where hoofprints, things, all around but none coming or going. Applejack trotted over to inspect her trees.
"Ah don't believe it. One of my apples is missen," Applejack said a little bit pissed.
Sam sat there hearing the whole conversation decided to talk behind cover instead of walk out into the open.
"Um.. Miss," Sam concluded that they where both females, "I'm truly sorry for eating your apples, I didn't know," Sam said behind the tree. Twilight and Applejack, immediately started backing up, to scared to talk. Applejack regained her senses and decided to talk back.
"Where are you? Ah can't see you," Applejack said looking for the thing that ate her apples.
"I'm hiding till I know it's safe to come out," Sam called back. Twilight wasn't as scared now knowing the thing was scared too.
"We're not going to hurt you," Twilight said also looking for Sam.
"Ok, but before I come out, my name is Sam," Sam said so they know what to call him. Sam walked around the tree expecting to see farmers with shotguns but instead found very colorful ponies. They stood there for a bit having a stare off. Wanting to break the tension Twilight spoke first. "Hello Sam, I'm Twilight Sparkle." Sam looked over at the purple pony. He was starting to think he hit his head when he fell before the other orange pony spoke.
"What do you think your doin eatin muh apples," Applejack said a little more harshly. All Sam could do was stare at the pony. Twilight was starting to get worried because Sam wasn't moving. So being the curious pony that she was, she walked over to Sam and nudged him with her hoof.
Sam looked down at the the one called Twilight and realized that he hasn't said anything yet. Sam, being the nervous type started wiggling his fingers before clearing his throat. "I um.. Didn't realize that the trees belonged to someone," Sam stuttered. Twilight notice the difference in the way he said somepony.
"Is someone the same as somepony to you?" Twilight asked Sam who only nodded. Twilight was getting exited Untill she remembered that she still needs to ask what type of species Sam was.
"So, Sam, what exactly are you?" Twilight asked nervously. Sam was shock by this question until he realized that this must be the first time these ponies seen a human before.
"I'm human," Sam said getting over his nervousness. Twilight was taken back by this information. In all the books she read she never heard of a human before.
"What are you," Sam said to the ponies. Applejack rolled her eyes while Twilight looked at Sam.
"Where ponies, why? Don't ya have ponies where ya come from?" Applejack stated flatly.
"We do but, they don't talk, and there not so, colored," Sam said looking at their coat. The group remained silent for another minute. They where trying to think of a thing to say when Twilight remembered Applejack say something about another thing that Sam was talking to.
"Sam, if you don't mind me asking, but who where you talking to?" Twilight asked. That's when Sam remembered that Forge was still coming to pick him up. Sam checked his mini map. Forge was still far away.
"I was talking to my commander, Sergeant Forge," Sam said. Twilight looked around to see if she could spot forge behind one of the many apple trees. Sam noticed this and then said "he's not here. I was talking to him on the radio."
"What's a radio?" Twilight asked looking back at Sam. Sam just sat there thinking of a way to explain it, then came to the conclusion of showing them.
"You see this Twilight?" Sam said pointing to the radio on his shoulder. Twilight nodded. "Well if I push the button I can talk to who ever has one in a five mile radius," Sam said. Twilight looked at his shoulder eyes full of wonder.
"You want to talk to Forge?" Sam asked kindly, like a parent asking their kid if they want candy. Twilight was surprised at the offer. He was willing to let a stranger use there things. After some thought, she shook her head yes.
"Ok but, let my tell him first," Sam said before taking the radio of his shoulder. Twilight nodded.
"Forge you there? It's Sam you won't believe the inhabitants of this planet," Sam said before waiting for a reply.
"Let me guess," Forge said back, "this world is full of talking colorful ponies." The group sat there all wide eyed and mouths on the floor.
"Um, Forge, your correct," Sam said slowly. Laughter filled the air as Forge came through the tree line. The laughter stopped as soon as he saw the ponies. Forge eyes went from Applejack to Twilight before falling on Sam.
"Um.. Sam who are they," Forge said before looking at the ponies again.
"There the talking colorful ponies that live on this planet," Sam said hoping that Forge won't freak out. Forge just stood there looking dumbstruck. Twilight felt the need to break the tension, again.
"Hello sir, I'm Twilight Sparkle," Twilight said feeling uneasy. Forge looked at the purple pony and instantly thought of the covenant. Before they knew what was going on Forge pulled up his pistol and aimed at Twilight's head. But before he could fire Sam moved in front of the pony, shielding her from harm. Twilight was so surprised by his act of kindness and blushed.
"Forge it's ok. They ain't with the covenant," Sam said expecting to be shot any second. The ponies who had no idea what's going on only exchanged worried glances. Forge, coming to his senses, realized what's going on and slowly lowered the gun.
"I'm sorry, I don't know what came over me," Forge said apologetically. Everyone else all let out their breath that they been holding. Forge put his pistol back in it's holder and crouched to get eye level with the purple pony.
"Sorry again, just where we come from purple means enemy," Forge said sounding sincere. Twilight nodded trying to understand what just happened. Forge stood back up and nodded to Sam who understood it as, I'm not going to hurt anyone.
"So, what now," Sam said looking at Forge hoping he had a plan to get back home. Forge only shrugged looking at the sky.
"Do you two have a place to stay," asked Twilight
"No," Forge said, "We only been here for a couple of hours."
"Then how did you two get here," She asked back.
"We don't know, I was supposed to blow a bomb to save my people from death, and somehow we ended here," Forge said flatly, "Where exactly is here."
"Your in Equestria," Twilight answered.
"And where is that, exactly," Forge said getting mad at not getting a strait answer.
"Forge I don't think they have space travel," Sam said realizing that Forge was wanting the planet location.
"Oh," was all Forge could say. Twilight noticed that Forge was depressed and wanted to cheer him up.
"Forge if you want I can try and get Princess Celestia to help you," Twilight said.
"Ok but we need a place to rest up for tonight," Forge said before yawning.
"Ah think ah can help ya with that," Applejack said before adding, "You can sleep in muh barn."
Someplace near the Everfree Forest, the Arbiter was looking for the pilot that came through the door with him when the bomb went off. He would call him on their radio, but it broke his fall after he woke up. The Arbiter was still in pain from the wounds he received after fighting the human. The energy sword nearly came close to severing his spine, but because of the split in the middle of the sword he live to see another day.
As the Arbiter started to walk to the forest he heard a strange noise come out. It was like the forest was calling him to come see its wonders. The Arbiter was getting edgy though because of the forest look. The plants all had their own demeaning looks. The Arbiter could tell that anything with half a brain would avoid the woods, but he was sure that the pilot landed in there, so there he had to go.
Of somewhere in the Everfree forest the pilot was setting up camp. He was still dazed by the fact that he was still breathing. He was sure that he was in a heavenly world until he felt a pain in his left hand. He looked down to see that there was a large cut on his palm. After this he concluded that, A. he was still alive, B. this meant the Arbiter was still alive, and C. the humans must be alive too. So after all this he decided to make camp for a couple hours before looking for the Arbiter.
He started going over his supplies in his head. He had the following: one needier, one plasma pistol, a bag of plasma grenades, and two semi auto plasma rifles. After checking over his things. He got up and started looking around the perimeter. He did this until he was sure he was alone.
The pilot went back to the middle of the small clearing he was in and sat down on a fallen log. He pressed a couple buttons on his left arm and a screen popped up. It showed a picture of his home world. It made him happy to look at it.
The pilot doesn't know how long he stared at the picture but when he stopped he noticed that the forest had gotten slightly darker. He also felt like something was watching him. He looked around to see if he could spot anything outta place. The only thing he saw was some sticks poking out behind the bushes. Even though he couldn't see anything he slowly reached out and picked up the needier. As he sat there his heart rate was climbing higher and higher as he still couldn't see what was watching him. Then out from the bushes jumped a strange creature. It had the body of wood in the shape of the human wolf. It's eyes were light green with a strange glow. This was all the Elite could study of the new animal, more of them jumped out from behind the treeline. The Elite counted seven in all. The Elite raised his gun. The things in front of him started growling.
The Elite stood there staring down each of the creatures. The one in the middle took a step forward. The Elite didn't like it getting closer. He turned towards it and fired the needier at it's head. It fell to the ground after the second round hit it. The other six saw their pack member go down and immediately ran at the Elite. The Elite ducked making the group hit midair. He turned around and faced the group trying to get up. He fired round after round at them. Two died before they got up and the other four jumped away. They started circling the Elite. The Elite took aim at one to his right and fired. The animal ducked and charged the Elite. The other three took notice and charged too. The Elite grabbed the first that charged him and pulled it's head back till a loud snap was heard through the forest. The Elite was so busy with the task at hand that he didn't notice the other three were running at him. The Elite was about to turn around when he was tackled from behind. The Elite felt three sets of mouths bite at his exposed skin. He could feel blood trickle down his body, enraged the Elite stood up and tried to grab at the animals on his back. He twisted sideways to grab at the beast. During his twisting movement the animals fell off and started circling again. The Elite looked back at the three beast with hate filled eyes. The three beast returned the stare. The Elite was trying to decide if he could reach his grenade bag or if he should just use the rest of his needier rounds. After about a minute of standing still the wolfs were getting restless. One wolf got mad that its prey wasn't moving and decided to jump at the prey. The Elite was busy thinking when he saw a beast jump at him. He only had seconds to react to the beast. The Elite shot the beast inches away from his face. The Elite looked down at the last two beast and gave them the most hate filled death glares. This time they didn't return the glare. Instead they turned around and ran full speed away.
"Well that was different," the Elite said to himself as he watch the beast run away.
"It certainly was," said a familiar voice. Just then the Arbiter limped into the clearing. (The Arbiter was watching for some time)
"Arbiter," the Elite said bowing his head in respect, "how long where you there?"
"Long enough," the Arbiter said before sitting down on the log.
"What should we do now, sir," the Elite said hoping that he had a plan. The Arbiter only shook his head and shrugged.
"I don't know. At first I thought that we landed on a human world, but, after seeing those things I'm not so sure," the Arbiter said slowly. The Elite nodded thoughtfully. There have been no reports of dogs made of wood in any report when they attacked Harvest.
"So, what do you want to do," the Elite said after some thought.
It took some time for the Arbiter to answer the question.
"I think I want to find out what calls this place home. Then, I want to get my revenge on the bastard human," the Arbiter said flatly. The Elite bowed again out of respect of the Arbiter's words.
"You need to sit down," the Arbiter said looking at the Elite while clutching the split in his gut where the energy sword hit, "I have a feeling we'll be here for a while," then before he could say more he fainted from the pain from his wounds.
"Arbiter?" The elite said as the Arbiter passed-out from his wounds. The elite quickly grabbed the Arbiter's shoulder pad before he hit the ground. If the Arbiter woke up with a concussion he may go on his famous rampages. The Elite let out a groan of annoyance as the Arbiter slid off the log an onto the ground. The Elite grumbled something incoherent as he stood up and popped his back. He laid the Arbiter on his side so he wouldn't bloody to much of his chest plate. The Elite then walked over and started gathering his supplies. The Arbiter coughed up blood as he laid on the ground. The Elite looked over at his fallen leader trying to think of what to do. He had no first-aid supplies, no knowledge of this planets herbs, and no way of contacting the Covenant.
The Elite thought this and more as he thought of a way to get the Arbiter out of these woods. The Elite looked to the heavens hoping that they could show him the way. Just then a bright flash of light zoomed through the sky. The Elite couldn't see what has made this but could tell it was heading North. The Elite picked the Arbiter and held him up on his shoulders. The Elite started walking parallel with the line in the sky.
--Near a cottage by the Everfree forest--
Fluttershy was outside her cottage tending to her animals when a overly exited Rainbow Dash landed next to her.
"Fluttershy, guess what," Rainbow Dash said trying to conceal her excitement.
"What?" Fluttershy said nervously watching Rainbow bounce around in her place. Rainbow took her saddle off and pulled out a new edition of Daring Doo.
"I got the newest edition of Daring Doo!" Rainbow said showing the cover to Fluttershy. Fluttershy looked at the cover of the book. It showed Daring Doo holding some clear pony skull. She looked at the name Daring Doo and the Empire of the diamond skull. Fluttershy nodded and went back to tending her animals. Rainbow flew over to the creek that flowed by Fluttershy's cottage. She usually comes here to read because the noise of the water calms her as she reads.
--back in the woods--
The Elite was starting to get tired as he walk through the woods caring a still unconscious and bloody Arbiter.
"I better get a thanks after this," the Elite grumbled as he switched the Arbiter to the other shoulder. The Elite looked up to see if the trail was still in the sky. It was but it was starting to fade. The Elite quickened his pace as the trail faded in the sky. The Elite was now running through the woods with a heavy load on his shoulders. He looked up again to see if he was going the right way. He was, but before he could look back down he griped on a fallen branch causing the Arbiter to roll of his back and into a clearing ahead. The Elite looked up to see how far away the Arbiter was before he heard a noise.
"Rainbow, come quick, there is some strange thing over here," a female voice called in the distance. The Elite slowly grabbed the plasma pistol from his thigh. He moved some of the bushes in front of him and what he saw amazed him. There was some type of four-legged mammals of some unknown intelligence. He looked at this strange creature with a strange sense of aw. Whatever it was had yellow fur with a pink mane and when it turned he saw feathery wings and some type of marking on its backside. As it turned again he looked at its face. It had bright blue eyes and whore a sad expression. He followed where it was looking and saw the Arbiter still knocked-out. The Elite was about to make himself known to the strange thing when another one landed out of the sky. This one was completely different from the first except for the wings. This one was cyan blue with a multicolored mane it also had strange markings on it's backside.
--pony point of view-
Fluttershy was busy talking to a rabbit when a noise came from the nearby woods. She looked over expecting to see a sick animal stumbling out of the forest but instead her eyes fell upon a strange thing laying on the ground. The first thing she did was let out a loud squeak and call for Rainbow Dash. Then she examined the thing from afar. It had silver armor. It also had four digits on the end of its arms. The ones that didn't she guessed where its feet. She could see purple on it but thought it was part of the armor. She was about to walk over to it to get a better look when Rainbow Dash landed in front of her.
"You call?" Rainbow Dash asked. She hasn't seen the thing on the ground yet. Fluttershy pointed her hoof at the thing. Rainbow turned around to see what had Fluttershy all worked up when see spotted it. At first Rainbow thought that it was some type of rock until she saw it's arm.
"Umm.. Fluttershy, what am I looking at?" Rainbow asked not wanting to take her eyes away from the weird thing. Fluttershy only shook her head. Rainbow didn't see this but could feel the air from it. Fluttershy walked forward until Rainbow stopped her with her hoof.
"I don't like the looks of this," Rainbow said looking around to see if she could spot anything strange. Fluttershy pushed Rainbow's hoof away and started walking again. Rainbow didn't like this but did not argue. As Fluttershy walked towards the creature Rainbow followed making sure that every nook and cranny was looked at. Fluttershy was about ten feet away when something huge walked out of the forest and made its way towards them. It was about seven feet tall and was also in armor. Fluttershy instantly ran behind Rainbow Dash in fear of the walking behemoth. Rainbow stood strait up and puffed out her chest and wings to make herself look bigger. The giant stopped where the other thing was laying and said something in a weird language. Rainbow looked confused as she stared at the giant.
"What did you say?" Rainbow asked the creature. Fluttershy was now looking at the thing from behind Rainbow. The thing raised its hand to its head and pressed a couple buttons.
"I said," the thing spoke again, "that me and him are in dire need of your assistance." With that said Fluttershy was now standing right beside Rainbow and listing to whatever the thing had to say.
"What.. Um.. Do you need help with, if you don't mind me asking," asked the very timid Fluttershy. The thing pointed at the one on the ground.
"He is injured and requires first-aid I sadly have none," the thing said sounding depressed. Fluttershy looked at the one on the ground again and realized that the purple wasn't part of the armor. It was from the wound that went through it's gullet.
"Oh my gosh, is he hurt? Bring your friend inside and let me patch him up," Fluttershy said after her "help all animals" instincts kicked in. Rainbow Dash was not shocked by her friends actions because she knows how she is but Rainbow was nervous being around the huge giant. The thing wasted no time lifting up his friend and dragging him behind Fluttershy. Fluttershy flew to her cottage and started getting first-aid supplies. Rainbow looked up at the giant and tried to work up the nerve to ask what it was.
--Elite's point of view--
The Elite was dragging the Arbiter to a cottage that the yellow thing owned when he noticed the colorful one watching him as he walked. The Elite tried to ignore it and walk on but was having trouble due to the colorful one's eye where huge with wonder. The Elite was relived however to find that he made it to the doorway, but was pissed when the door was too small for the Elite and the Arbiter to go in side by side. The Elite was forced to drag the Arbiter by his arms into the building and was happy to find that he could stand up in it. The Elite looked around and saw the yellow one near a table with lots of first-aid supplies. The Elite placed the Arbiter in the table and was surprised that it held his weight. The Elite then sat on the floor and watch the yellow one as she stitched up the Arbiter. After about ten minutes and three hundred stitches. The Arbiter was patched up and cleaned up.
"Thank you for your kindness," the Elite said to the yellow one. She nodded as she cleaned up the mess on the floor.
"It's nothing really. I do it for any hurt animal that comes to my cottage," the yellow one said. The Elite nodded as he though of a way to repay this thing for the good she has done. The Elite then realized he never got her name.
"What's your name?" The Elite asked thoughtfully.
"I'm Fluttershy, and the pegasus over there is Rainbow Dash," Fluttershy said pointing at the colorful one.
"Well thank you again Fluttershy but I think I must be going," the Elite said as he picked up the Arbiter. Fluttershy looked at the thing as it made is was toward the door.
"Wait, how far is your house from here? Cause if its more that a few miles your welcome to stay the night," Fluttershy said hoping that they won't go off alone only to get hurt somewhere else. The Elite looked around the room then shook his head.
"Your home is a little to small for us," the Elite said sadly. Fluttershy felt sad that they were going until she remembered a place big enough for them.
"What about my friends farm it's right down the road. I'll walk you there," Fluttershy said happily. The Elite nodded and started walking down the road followed by two Pegasi.
