Chapter 1
Load Full StoryA young girl, about fourteen years of age exited the airplane she had been on for what seemed like forever and walked into the airport. The girl had short blonde hair with a grey cool cap over it, she was wearing a pair of black skinny jeans a black sweater. She searched around for a man she had little idea of what he looked like, but one man she actually recognized. He was an incredibly tall man, at least seven foot, he had a very well toned body, a chiseled face, and had long light blonde hair. She stopped dead in her tracks for a moment after it occurred to her he looked exactly like her father, except his hair reached down to his tailbone.
Although she still wasn't a hundred percent sure, she walked over to the man and looked up at him with a blank stare.
"I'm Abby, are you my uncle?"
"I don't remember you having red hair..." The man replied, his voice rough and deep.
"I dyed it."
"Oh... Well, yeah I'm pretty sure I'm your uncle, and if not I can always bring you back." He said laughing. "My name's Sterling."
"Great... Lets go." She said rolling her eyes.
"Don't we have to get your bags?" He asked confused.
"I didn't bring anything." She said coldly.
"You know you're not going back... Right?"
"Yes. Can we go now?"
The entire walk to the car felt like the uncomfortable plane ride all over again for Abby, Sterling was desperately trying to start a conversation with her, but got shot down every time, usually with a cold stare or no response. While going to Sterling's home he lit a cigarette, and Abby examined the new neighborhood she would be living in.
