The Requiem of Twilight Sparkle
The night was dark as Twilight Sparkle walked through Ponyville. She strolled to her home in the Ponyville library remembering the party she was leaving behind, but as she always says; studying comes first. She felt rather strange, like something was watching her, but she shrugged it off claiming it to be the cider she drank. The walk seemed to take forever but when she got there it was like seeing heaven, all she wanted now was a nice long sleep.
A magic blast strikes twilight in her side sending her flying toward a nearby building, crashing into it with a large crack. another yellow blast blew her threw the building smashing through almost in slow motion as she witnessed the horrified faces of ponies she recognized as Lyra and Bon-Bon. Twilight hit the ground outside of the destroyed hole in the wall in the house, as Lyra and Bon-Bon ran over to see if she was alright.
"Twilight! Twilight, are you okay?!" yelled Lyra as Bon-Bon picked Twilight on to her back. With another yellow blast Lyra fell. Bon looked increduously at her unconcious friend.
"Who is doing this?!" screamed Bon as a sharp telekinetic spear went through her, effectivly killing her. As she fell her eye teared as her last sight was her friend Lyra on the ground it front of a hooded pony with an evil smile, and a yellow horn, then it all faded to darkness.
Twilight awoke on the ground, hurting and very badly bleeding. She looked around and saw two friends of hers on the ground. She looked around for the culprits and saw a pony in a hooded garb. She could not see its face, but somehow felt it as familiar, but very faint.
"Wh-who are you... why did you do this?" she pointed at the two ponies on the ground.
"Hello Miss Sparkle, i'm surprised you do not recognize me as you should. Actually, I would be surprised if anyone recognized me now, but I digress. You and that princess have unfinished buisness with me, that I can stand to procrastinate no longer!" With a stomp of his hoof his horn lit up revealing a small amount of light on the lower half of his face. It was reptilian, but pony all the same. His smile was full a jagged, sharp teeth, and it was contorted into a horrifying smile.
Twilight looked on horrified, but new he had to be stopped.
"Look, i'm the element of magic, a student of Celestia, and you just hurt my friends! You will not get away with this, I've learned lessons from my friends that you should always stick by your friends sides, and by Celestia as my witness, i'm going to stop you." she stood up, though the pain of standing was getting to her, she stood proud.
"Good... that's good, keep telling yourself that friendship actually matters. you know nothing about magic you stupid foal, I was taught by the best. Now you must pay for what you did to me!" his hood fell revealing a solid reptilian snake like head, with a crooked, jagged horn.
"What.. what are you?" said twilight as she started to back up.
"I'm your bucking nightmare." with a dark smile and crazed red elipsed eyes he jumped forward and bucked twilight in the jaw with the force of a runaway cart. Twilight flew back slamming into the ground with a loud thud. She stood up shakingly, and started to run.
As she looked around she noticed the area! she was near fluttershy's house, she could get help! Twilight started to gallop as fast as her hurt body would allow, with that demonic presence right in pursuit. As she made the journey she finally found herself only a couple of yards away from possible safety, when a magical barrier caught her hoof midstep and tripped her causing her face to crack against the ground, breaking her nose.
Tears rolled down her face as she popped her muzzle back into place. She looked up at the snakelike face of her attacker.
"Ive been waiting sooo long for this moment, Miss Sparkle. Now you must di-" Two hooves smack into the face of the reptilian devil, as it sends him flying into a tree headfirst.
"Twilight! Are you okay?!" Two yellow hooves hug twilight as tight as equinely possible. Fluttershy saw Twilight grimace at the hug and backed up. "Come on Twilight, we need to get inside, its safer".
"Flu-fluttershy... move." twilight stammered to a confused looking pegasus. Fluttershy then was immediately pushed aside from the last of Twilight's strength, and as she fell she looked at Twilight whom had a sad look in her eyes, that's when she noticed the jagged horn impaling twilights chest and protruding from her back. Tears welled up in Flutter's eyes as her world fell in slow-motion. As twilight fell the evil snake-unicorn looked a Fluttershy with a dark smile, and vanished into thin air with a distinct crack.
Fluttershy laid there crying until morning when, worried about twilights location, Spike showed up to find her.
Authorities found Lyra and Bon-Bon the next day, though they were sent to the hospital, only Lyra survived, but at the notice of her nearest friend being dead, she was broken, defeated by all. Lyra was named the main suspect of Bon-Bon's murder, being the only unicorn around when a unicorn-related death was not looking good for her. Luckily she escaped custody and ran into the Everfree as fast as her hooves could move her. Bon-Bon's Funeral was held a couple of days later, with no sign of Lyra.
Spike followed the ambulance ponies all the way to the hospital, with twilight in the carriage with him, he cried solemnly. "Please be okay twi... please."
